• Escape34928851087 (8/5): A week in the Chongfah resort. - Our first time staying in this area of Khao Lak and it will be our last. The town has lots of bars and restaurants but it’s a bit too busy and commercialised for our liking. We prefer the other end of Khao Lak. The hotel is nice, rooms a bit dated but comfortable enough, lovely pool and breakfast is excellent. However the beachfront area is poor and there’s no direct access to the beach at all. Tides mean you sometimes have to walk along the road which is not great just to get on the beach and have a swim. We wouldn’t stay here again, there’s better resorts for the money charged.
• Agatrave (10/5): We love this place.. - Our two-weeks stay at Chongfah Beach Resort was fantastic. The staff were absolutely superb: front desk ( JAAE), restaurant, chambermaids (KIEV) and all the support staff. The accommodation was wounderful ( I love my hammock) The food and drinks were great. The view from the restaurant is one of the best you can imagine. The beach is so clean with warm, turquoise water. Perfect to swim. The location is great just a few minutes from Bang Niang Night Market and thousands of good places to eat and drink. There is a useful 7-11 convenience store. We truly love this nice relaxing hotel with a touch of the Thai culture and would highly recommend. We will return 100%. See you next year Chongfah Beach Resort!!!

• SabinaSoederqvist (10/5): Fantastic place and our absolute favorite in Bang Niang/Khao Lak - We kept our promise from last year to return soon again, and so we did. This time we had ”only” booked a Deluxe Double room (last year we had the Beachfront Bungalow) but the room did not disappoint - spacious and beautiful, with everything you need, very comfortable beds (firm) and lovely outdoor space. Housekeeping does a fantastic job keeping up with all the rooms and guests, taking care of the room two times every day. The restaurant personel is super attentive and always at your service. Breakfast is lovely with eggstation, fresh fruit and juices, local Thai dishes as well and lots of other things to chose from. And really great coffee! Reception is also extremely helpful with anything you may need. We always book our airport transfer with the hotel and it has worked perfectly and at a very reasonable cost as well. We have already booked our return again for next year, but now we are bringing the rest of he family as well, so they can fall in love with this lovely place as much as we have! Can’t wait - See you soon again!

• vickimareerose (10/5): Fabulous Boutique Oceanfront Hotel. - Fantastic small, boutique hotel with beautiful views over the ocean. Perfect location to stay with oceanfront outlook. Great quiet spot for breakfast, sunset or swimming in the lovely pool. Conveniently located a short walk to small restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend.
• JENSBritinCopenhagen (10/5): Wonderful experience! - Beautiful small resort on the seafront at Khao lak. Ideal for couples and relaxing, although the Bang Niang market with its bars, restaurants and market stalls (4 days a week) is less than 10 minutes walk away. We stayed for 8 days in one of their superb seaview villas which I can 100% recommend, although we stayed our final night in a standard deluxe room which was also first class. The difference is the magnificent view over the ocean and the private outside jacuzzi and shower, but these are nice to haves rather than absolutely necessary for a great holiday! The 30 or so rooms all have their private terraces with your own sunbeds and there is always plenty of room around the infinity pool should you want to meet the other guests. There is a small beach about 50 meters away if you want a dip in the sea, but I can recommend taking a tuk tuk from just outside the hotel, to one of the beaches to the north or south of Khao lak if you want a day relaxing on the beach. Coconut beach, for example, is about 15 minutes away. The buffet breakfast is very good, as was their evening buffet (once a week) and their two course evening meal (which was included in our package) and their cocktail bar is first class. Don't miss Happy Hour and the magnificent sunset views. Finally, the staff really made our stay. All of them, from the cleaning girls to the bar and restaurant staff to the hotel driver and especially the front office staff (thank you JA AE) were world class and couldn't do enough for us. Thanks you all. We do hope to return sooner rather than later!
• ConNIT91 (10/5): Another 5* stay at our favourite hotel! - Another amazing stay at our favourite hotel and we’ve stayed in many hotels. One of the main reasons we keep coming back here is because of the team that work there - they’re all so friendly, welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The location is superb and the views are just stunning. The Asian night is really good value and the food excellent. The hotel is small which is good, in my opinion better than a big resort as it’s all very personal. See you next year :)

Spacious and comfortable rooms. well located, away from the busyness but within easy waking distance of shops, night market and restaurants. Infinity pool was great and always plenty of sun loungers to choose from. Particularly enjoyed happy hour cocktails whilst watching the stunning sunsets. It was my birthday during our stay and I was 'surprised' at breakfast with a specially decorated table, chocolate cake and a card together with a rendition of 'happy birthday' from all the staff which was a lovely gesture. Highly recommend and would happily stay again

• 987russellh (10/5): A Wonderful Hotel and Stay - Had a wonderful stay at the Chongfah beach resort, a fabulous 30 bedroom boutique hotel right on the beach. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was well appointed with super comfy bed, sunbathing terrace, large rain shower bathroom and outside jacuzzi and shower. Super breakfast each morning where you can eat overlooking the beach. Hotel is super clean, quiet and well maintained. What truly made our stay special were the wonderful staff we met each and everyday. They really go the extra mile to make sure you have the best vacation. The location is away from the main tourist locations but these are an easy 10 minute walk away with plenty of options for eating and shopping. So many things to see and do here I highly recommend a visit to the Similan Islands and the National parks within the vicinity. We hired motorbikes for 3 days and were able to take off into the hills to explore. Thank you Chongfai Resort for a wonderful stay, you are all awesome!
• Boniface13 (10/5): Chongfah is a little gem by the sea! - Arriving in the pouring rain, I did wonder if I’d made a mistake with my choice but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’d done a lot of research beforehand to find hotels that suited us, and Chongfah turned out to be exactly what I’d hoped for. Chongfah is a tiny boutique resort, only 30 rooms, which makes it wonderfully peaceful and quiet yet it is in walking distance of the town. The location was perfect for us, opposite hotel we found laundry,massages, taxis and fresh fruit drinks. Supermarket, shops and many restaurants just 10 minute walk. We stayed in a sea-view bungalow which was lovely, with outside seating area and sun loungers facing the sea. Super comfy bed, quality linen and towels. There’s a sea wall in front, so no direct beach access from the room, but a short walk along the property leads you to a small entrance to the beach when tide is low. The resort has a lovely infinity pool, perfect for relaxing, the staff were superb, warm, attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. We did bed & breakfast at Chongfah and ate at many local restaurants in town. We had a fantastic 10 days here and would happily return.
• L5965XErichardc (8/5): A hit, but with some misses - Chongfah Beach Resort has much to recommend it. Small complex, large well-equipped rooms, great staff, along with a great range of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. There are, however, a few misses. The resort promotes its environmental credentials yet asks guests to place soiled toilet paper in a bin rather than into the resort's waste management system. Apart from this being an uncomfortable experience, I can only assume the soiled paper is sent to landfill - hardly an environmentally friendly practice. It was disappointing, too, that there was no safe direct access to the beach at low tide (the only time the beach is accessible). The resort has an existing stairway to the beach, but the bottom five rungs are missing. Luckily there is easy beach access only a couple of hundred metres away.
• AntW1999 (10/5): A dream stay! - Wow, what a stunning place with amazing greenery and wildlife in the walkways around the bungalows. The staff treated us like family and took us to their temple for a complimentary visit where we got to give offerings to the monks, what an experience. They also stored our bags free of charge when we went to Khao sok national park for a night before moving on with our travel. What an amazing resort full of lovely bungalow rooms, located perfectly for the night market, Thai boxing and the beach. And named after the beautiful Chongfah waterfall!
• sad7au (10/5): Do your self a favour - Loved my stay at this hotel.After a long flight and transfer from Phuket airport.The moment we walked in we felt relaxed and forgot all about our journey getting here.All the staff were amazing so friendly and nothing was a bother.Breakfast was good with a big selection and great coffee which is what I really needed in the morning.A short walk to town centre and night market.Hotel on beach front but unable to swim in front due to rock wall.But a short walk to nice sandy beach which I didn’t find a problem.

• Pauliina (10/5): Lovely, quiet hotel with great service - Relaxing holiday. It's a few minutes walk to the restaurants and shops in Khao Lak, but the hotel was very nice. They don't have a direct beach access, so you can't walk to the beach restaurants until in the afternoon when the tide is low. The closest restaurant by the same name is not very good and also the hotel's food was bland, but breakfast was good. The staff was really friendly!

• markbh1971 (10/5): Wonderful stay and amazing people - Spent 6 nights here in one of the sea front bungalows and it was wonderful. Room was spacious and well appointed. What really sets this stay apart from our others are the staff. I know pretty much Thais are universally friendly and happy people but at Chongfah they were the nicest people you could wish to meet. Food and drinks were also excellent. Quiet location but really close to everything. Highly recommended.
• SabinaSoederqvist (10/5): Beautiful gem in Bang Niang/Khao Lak - What a gem! This was by far the best holiday we have had in Khao Lak (we have been in Khao Lak many times before). Everything at this hotel is just beautiful, from the location right above the beach to the rooms and all the wonderful staff - reception, restaurant as well as housekeeping. As soon as you enter the premises you right away get a sense of peace and tranquility. We stayed in a bechfront bungalow, 1105, which was just fantastic, big and spacious, with our own sun beds just outside, and housekeeping twice a day. Breakfast had a good variety of things to choose from, both genuine Thai dishes as well as an omelett/egg station, sushi, fresh fruit and juices and much more. The restaurant also offers great food for lunch and dinner as well, but as we only had breakfast included we did eat out most of the time. But the lunches and dinners we did try were delicious. The location of the hotel in Bang Niang is just perfect, as you are able to reach everything on foot, just a short walk to nearby restaurants and bars, as well as the market (4 days/week). Thank you Chongfah - we will definitely return again in the future!

• E6027LHlisan (10/5): We’ve found our forever hotel! 😍 - We hadn’t originally planned to stay at Chongfah Beach Resort, but when our original booking elsewhere was cancelled, this little gem popped up in a search – and what a stroke of luck that turned out to be! We booked a bungalow for two weeks and can confidently say this is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The standout feature? The staff. Without a doubt, the most wonderful, attentive team we’ve encountered at any hotel, anywhere in the world. Joy and Axe were incredible – they thought of what we needed before we even realised it ourselves. Because it’s a small boutique hotel, you really get to know the staff, and they get to know you, making it feel personal and welcoming. Despite being full, the hotel never felt busy. The most we ever saw in the stunning infinity pool was five people at a time – no sunbed battles here! The pool overlooks the sea, making for the most relaxing and beautiful setting. Happy hour (which is actually an hour and a half!) was brilliant – superbly made cocktails on a two-for-one offer, thanks to Pea, who really knows how to mix a great drink. Breakfast was another highlight. No standing in line for a push-button coffee machine here – instead, you get freshly ground coffee made to order. Nouy and Bas were wonderfully attentive, anticipating what we needed before we asked. Ning, one of the egg station chefs, made a fantastic omelette! As we were diving for six days and had limited time for breakfast, they kindly let us in 10 minutes early so we weren’t rushing before our pick-up – a small gesture that made a huge difference. Our bungalow was a wonderful surprise – absolutely huge! It had an outdoor shower, a jacuzzi bath, a spacious bathroom and dressing area, a large bedroom, and a big balcony. The housekeeping team were fantastic, turning down the bed each evening and lighting an oil burner so the room smelled like a spa when we returned after a long day. They also placed an incense stick on the balcony to keep the bugs away. The Nespresso machine in the room, with unlimited pods, was another great touch. Fresh towels were changed when we wanted them, in line with the hotel’s eco-conscious approach. While we didn’t have dinner at the hotel, we did have lunch, which was good. But the breakfasts alone were enough to impress! This was our third stay in Khao Lak, and after experiencing Chongfah Resort, we won’t be staying anywhere else in the future. If you’re looking for loud music and poolside aqua aerobics, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want a peaceful, relaxing oasis with incredible service, beautiful surroundings, and an overall feeling of calm and luxury, Chongfah Resort is absolutely the place to stay. If there is one area to improve, I’d say they need to up their social media presence! I couldn’t find out much on Instagram for example. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so special – we can’t wait to return!

We went for a long trip to relax and enjoy by the sea and am happy we returned with all our dreams fulfilled.Thank you Chongfah Beach Resort! This resort gave a very personalized attention to all its guests.One day I requested the kitchen staff to warm the dinner which I had bought from outside they not only warmed the food but served them in the restaurant crockery and brought them to my room!! In they evening they keep a note and some snacks just outside the room!! The jacuzzi is placed outside in a private courtyard surrounded by pebbles and flowering plants!!bathing in the outdoor private jacuzzi was an out of the world experience!!The roaring sea is just a few steps away from the door of the room,which filled our stay with adventure!!We checked out early in the morning and requested for a take away breakfast which they happily obliged by hygienically packing us a very good breakfast.The rooms and outside deck chairs are cleaned thoroughly everyday.We enjoyed the outdoor bar! Also to add this resort organizes an extravagant New Year Day party with buffet and entertainment which is worth enjoying !! We missed it this time but have plans to attend it in future. We as a family love traveling and have stayed at many placed but I would like to put this experience on top as it gave my whole family a feeling of being at home. There are many resorts available for booking but I strongly recommend experiencing this resort after my stay.

• Roam44956831682 (10/5): A Gem. Glad we chose this resort - Amazing boutique resort. Communication from time of booking to leaving was excellent. We were met at the airport with a sign with our name. We were upgraded to a beach front villa which made our trip. The bed was really comfortable and real coffee in the room for early morning. Good selection of breakfast buffet. Great location as you could walk to shops and restaurants. Only downside on the ocean but a retaining wall. Five minute walk if you want to swim in the ocean or walk the beach which was no problem for us.
• Cheryl (10/5): - A gem. All the staff were amazing and always smiled. Most spoke some English. The front desk staff were particularly helpful in arranging for us to be picked up at the airport with our name on a sign and upgraded us to a beachfront bungalow. This made our trip. Beds were the most comfortable in Thailand and real coffee in the room. Great location and easy to walk a to stores, restaurants. The resort is on the ocean but to swim or do long walks you need to walk less than 5 minutes. This was not a problem for us. Breakfast buffet one of the best we have had in Thailand.

• Mathias (4/5): Incredibly overpriced! - Not at all a bad resort in any way. The rooms are spacious and have a good design, breakfast is above average for Thailand and the staff is service minded and friendly. The resort was probably considered a luxuary resort 20 years ago but today it is quite outdated with old style furnitures and amenities and is clearly not worth 230 euros per night (room rate), not in Europe and especially not in Thailand. At this level it really comes in at the bottom end on a price-to-quality scale. If you want luxuary look at the nearby resorts and if you want value there are many other better options.
• ConNIT91 (10/5): Another 10/10 stay at Chong Fah - Could not fault our stay at Chong Fah so much so that this is our second time staying here and we plan to return for a third time in January of next year. From the minute you arrive you are greeted by warm welcoming and friendly staff. We were staying in two beach bungalows with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You have your own private sun loungers in front of the bungalow, stunning views. There is an outdoor shower and bath area with a walk in shower indoors also. The beds are comfortable with two choices of pillow. The mini bar is stocked daily and you have the choice of fresh bedding/towels daily too. Our room was turned down each nigh with cute little messages left for us. Every single member of staff that we came across was nothing but lovely and friendly, special shout out to the bar/restaurant staff - Roger, Pea, Bas, Noey, Talay who go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant and enjoyable holiday, remembering drink/food orders and always having a smile on their faces :) The hotel itself is quiet and private, plenty of sun loungers around the pool/beach area and plenty of space in the bar area. It is a short distance from bars and restaurants too with taxis available just outside the front of the hotel. • Allid64 (10/5): Wonderful Boutique Resort. A Firm Favourite. - Chongfah is a gem, a lovely, peaceful hotel, right beside the sea and perfect for relaxing. It's a small hotel with a chilled vibe, just the kind we love. This was our second stay and we enjoyed it every bit as much as our first holiday there. The staff are exceptional, going out of their way to make you feel at home. Chongfah has become a favourite for us, and we can't wait to return.
• Maralina (10/5): Nice oceanfront relaxation! - Great place to enjoy some quiet time. The "beach" doesn't really exist, as it's some sand on top of a seawall. Don't expect to get in the ocean here. The pool is beautiful though, and the restaurant served delicious food, including the freshest coconuts we had in Thailand!

• choosewisely_7 (10/5): Well done if you chose this hotel ! - Smile - you made a good choice. Staff here work very hard to ensure you have the best time! This was our last of 3 hotels and we loved it. I'd already booked for family to stay here and I'm confident they'll love it too. The hotel is traditional - reminds me of our first visit to Thailand some 15 years ago. There are so many new, modern hotels, but by staying here, you will know that you're really in Thailand. Breakfast overlooking the sea is excellent. Coffees are served to the table and individually made to your choice. Eggs too, are made to order - with a big smile. The ladies who clean the rooms work around times to suit you. They notice how you are using the room and make changes to suit you - for example putting extra padding on the balcony chairs. The girls on reception are sweet and helpful - we never left or returned to the hotel without a smile and a wave. This is Thai hospitality at it's best !!!
• AnnaBolam (10/5): The ONLY place to stay in Khao Lak- the perfect resort. - The Chongfah is a beautiful boutique resort in a fantastic location in Khao Lak. From the moment we arrived we were treated amazingly well by the staff who were efficient, friendly, helpful and went the extra mile. We stayed in 3 different rooms- a deluxe bungalow, a ground floor deluxe room and an upper floor deluxe room. All of the rooms were immaculate, spacious and had everything we needed. The housekeeping team were fantastic- the room was super clean and the turn down service was lovely- we had tealights lit for us to keep the mosquitos away and a little gift and personalised message left every night. The walk in showers were very good. The pool area was fantastic- comfy sun loungers, no fight for beds and a beautiful infinity pool looking out over the Andaman Sea. There are also sun loungers along the small sandy area in front of the ocean view villas that are available to all guests- what a peaceful spot to relax and listen to the waves. Breakfast was varied and good quality- the staff remembered our drinks preferences and the service was amazing. We were gifted a dinner set menu which was delicious. The resort is a short walk to many bars and restaurants, transport is easy to find either via taxi or tuk tuk. I can't recommend this resort highly enough- there is nowhere else I would stay in Khao Lak. All the staff were brilliant but a special thanks to JA AAE who was brilliant in helping us sort our initial stay an then an extension and always remembered our names.

It is close to the market (walking distance) but also feels far from the action which helps with relaxation and sleep. The staff are absolutely amazing, extremly kind and will help with any request. Breakfast is good with multiple options. Their location is right on the beach so you'll be able to eat with a great view. 10/10

The hotel is beautiful and in a very nice location with beautiful sunsets. The room, a garden suite, was gorgeous with our own private patio. We wished we would have stayed longer to explore the town more.

• holly (10/5): - I absolutely loved this place. The staff here are very kind, attentive, and helpful. I left for five days and returned, and they gave me the same room with a "welcome back" message and in-person greetings. They were awesome. The service exceeded my expectations, and the room was lovely. The food was good, atmosphere great, design and aesthetic cool, breakfast epic, etc. All at a very reasonable price (ridiculous price for me coming from Miami). 5 stars
• Philipa (10/5): - This place is such a gem. We loved that it’s a smaller boutique type resort and it was very laid back and quiet. We planned on staying 5 nights and ended up staying 2 weeks as we loved it so much! The staff are just fabulous and nothing is ever too much trouble. We chose a waterfront room and it was well worth the extra money. The pool is wonderful and we enjoyed our multiple daily swims to escape the heat. We also loved the huge number of bar and dining options all within easy walking distance to the resort. Overall it was an amazing and relaxing stay and we are already planning to return!

Das Auswahl im Frühstückbuffet ist riesig und für jeden etwas dabei. Das Persoal weiß, ob du Kaffee oder Tee möchest oder am Abend wer welchen Drink haben möchte: Totale Empfehlung! Wir werden nächstes Jahr wieder kommen. Danke für den herrlichen Urlaub!
• James (10/5): - Perfect little resort in Khao Lak. Easily walkable to a bunch of restaurants and bars. The staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. Great ocean views and perfectly place pool to watch the sunset. Only thing that could be slightly improved are the stairs leading down to the water.
• Tomas (6/5): Not a beach resort!! - It is not a Beach Resort!! The only access to the sea (not beach) is a corroded stair with missing steps. Dangerous! Around the pool andin front of a wall towatds the sea there are sun beds. The non reservation policy was not followed and already before 07:00 guests started the put their towels on the beds.

• Ann-Mari (10/5): Wonderful stay in Beachfront villa. - We had a fantastic stay at Chongfah resort in Beachfront Villa. So peaceful and calm, it was a lovely experience! The staff are really service minded and super friendly. The only drawback is the access to the beach, but of course we knew that from the earlier reviews.
• JILL (10/5): - A gorgeous boutique hotel - not overcrowded, spacious rooms, wonderful staff and wonderful location. Sadly global warming & post tsunami, there is not a beachfront directly in front of the property, but huge long beaches nearby within 50m and the property overlooks the aquamarine sea. The hustle and bustle at the town feels miles away..but again- is only 50-100m behind- just perfect.

• Megan (10/5): Beautiful hotel, overbearing staff - We very much enjoyed our stay at Conghfah. They had a nice breakfast, a lovely pool, and relaxing hammocks. Our room was very spacious and we could see the ocean from our balcony! The one complaint we had was that in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic the staff kept insisting to touch and move our bags, plates, chairs etc., even when we asked them repeatedly to stop. The location allowed us to easily walk to the beach as well as the Tsunami museum and the row of restaurants and shops.

Welcoming, peaceful and very comfortable with excellent, clean rooms and outdoor walkways, pool areas and restaurant. Delicious food and a lovely treat of a special breakfast table for my mum's birthday. Fantastic evening bbq - such a selection of dishes - very good value. Excellent location, near to shops and right on the beach. Lovely, kind staff. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back at some future time. A real gem x
• Martin (10/5): - The sea-facing bungalows are wonderful and well worth the extra. The staff were probably the friendliest and most responsive of any place I have visited in Thailand and the variety at breakfast, whether international, Thai, continental or dimsum is impressive. There are also a host of excellent and inexpensive local restaurants within easy walking distance - its just a pity the resort were unable to compete with these. Although fronting the wonderful Andaman Sea, there is only a small beach area accessible from the hotel at high tide, but once the tide goes out, it is possible to walk the entire 4-5 mile stretch of Khao Lak Beach

The place is great for you if you want to relax or have a romantic stay. It’s right in town so it’s very easy access to all the restaurants and bars in the area.

There is not much beach directly in front of the resort but there is access close by. We used the provided bikes most days, this was an easy way of getting around.

• Vanessa (10/5): - We stayed here for two weeks. It was wonderful. We stayed in the garden bungalows. Room was spacious and bed large. Had a outside shower and bath too - there is an inside shower too. Pool was fab - infinity pool overlooking the ocean with jacuzzi jets on the other side of the pool. Cocktail hour was spent in the pool drinking. Such fun. Breakfasts were excellent - wide choice from coooing station for any type of eggs, to a selection of different breads, cheese, cold meat. The juices are amazing : passion fruit, guava, watermelon, lychee, papaya and more. The fruit selection is great too - I will miss this each morning that is for sure! Watermelon, papaya, pineapple, melon, mango - yum! Staff were amazing. They go out their way to make you feel special. Call outs are for Zel, Amy, Roger and Yada - but in fairness all staff are excellent. Day trips to Surin Islands (3 snorkelling stops) was outstanding. Excellent visibility and large range of fish seen. Lovely beach stop for lunch. Day trip to the Kam Islands. Beautiful unspoilt beaches and some beaches we were the only ones on it! Lunch was delicious - one of my best meals here in fact. Snorkelling was sadly not possible that day due to poor visibility. However, the upside was that we saw a school of dolphins - not once but twice was we were sailing between the islands! The lunch stop has a view point you can climb too - but be careful as it is slippery but you have lots of tree branches to steady yourself.

• Paul (8/5): - Great peaceful location with great staff. The hotel is an oasis of calm in a busy resort, with quality rooms, although the room we were offered overlooked the staff quarters and generator room , rather than the garden or sea, which was disappointing. The rooms were very comfortable.

Highly recommend the ocean front rooms, we had our own little courtyard overlooking the sea which was lovely and the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great, walking distance to heaps of restaurants and the market (highly recommend), and we were able to hire a motorbike from just around the corner to explore further. Customer service was excellent, we did have some trouble communicating with some of the staff as their English wasn’t fantastic but we didn’t mind too much. Would recommend and would stay again if we returned to Khao Lak.

The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for the customers, even to arranging free access to a gym nearby. The restaurant is a beautiful setting for a relaxing leisurely breakfast. If you want a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting at a reasonable price, this is the hotel.

Rooms are nice and spacious and they have thought out extras like water, DVD players, mosquito protection. Will definitely return.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Fabulous! - Chongfah Resort is a lovely oasis on the beach. The rooms are well done, all have a patio with lounge chairs and a table to relax. The rain showers are great (no bath tub in my standard room). They have plants all around the grounds so it feels secluded and natural. The restaurant serves good food and drink. The staff are really what make this place special. They are extremely nice and helpful in booking activities or loaning bikes for free so it is easy to get to the main drag about a mile away. Make sure to enjoy sunset during the happy hour, we had an amazing sunset each night we were there. I highly recommend Chongfah resort! At only 1h20 north of Phuket airport, skip touristy and crowded Phuket and come here.
• Sarah Louise (10/5): Beautiful pool area and wonderful staff - This is a lovely place to stay. The staff really make it - they go out of their way to make you feel taken care of. The grounds are lush and beautifully maintained. The pool area with its view over the sea is a wonderful place to unwind. Access to the beach was being improved during our stay.
• Chris (10/5): Beautifully appointed boutique resort. - Found Changf Fah resort to be perfectly positioned, right on the beach and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Close to many restaurants and an easy walk to the markets , basically a great base for exploring. Wonderful facilities and very accommodating and friendly staff. Would recommend the Chongfah omelette from the buffet breakfast.

I loved how the lady showing us to our room showed us how to work everything instead of the usual figure it out yourself.. the pool is spectacular and the views are breathtaking! There is something for everyone at breakfast, I especially enjoyed trying a different juice everyday. I highly recommend the phad Thai and the vanilla milkshakes!! We had a wonderful stay, all the staff were very friendly and polite we would 100% return and recommended!

• Daniel (10/5): Excellent boutique resort - When we were planning this holiday in Khao Lak, the reviews for Chongfah resort were very encouraging. So we booked it and were certainly not disappointed. We had a beachfront/seaview bungalow which is probably one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in. The attention to detail meant you had everything you needed, even a coffee machine!! The bed was brilliant, the view superb, the water is just ten metres from your private patio. The bathroom is enormous and extending onto that is an outdoor spa which had plenty of use from us. The staff here are nothing short of brilliant. They are friendly, welcoming and very keen to make sure everything is ok with your visit. Sometimes through language barriers they get a few things wrong, but they really try so hard, it's not a problem. Everyone is willing to help and if you get stuck with anything, just as 'Pancake' and she will sort it out!! The breakfast has everything you could possibly want, has a massive variety and is also good quality...they even do a pretty good expresso! Cannot recommend the place highly enough!!
• Nicola (10/5): Superb location friendly staff clean hotel - Chongfah is a small hotel located approximately 3 Kms from the main road in Khao lak. There are plenty of little bars and restaurants nearby or a taxi costs just £3.50 Pancake was very helpful and friendly, she helped us with anything we needed Everything was great about the hotel. All the staff were so nice Part from the lady who checked us out who was a little miserable. Breakfast was fine, there is everything you need and the setting is beautiful. Food standard at breakfast was just okay, I stuck to banana pancakes as the other choices we a little ropey, however there is plenty of fruit and cereal which were absolutely fine. Wifi does drop on and out but we were visiting g in rainy season so this my have been why. All in all a very pleasant stay and definitely value for money I wouldn't hesitate to sty here again
