Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): - Perfect weekend great view room was excelent
- Janet (10/5): - Property is within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and activities. There is parking behind the guest house for guests which is great. You never have to move your vehicle after you arrive. A shout out to Joan and Mae who made our stay special!
- Peter (10/5): - Can't say enough about the owner Michael and and his staff excellent Great place to stay
- Chelagat (10/5): - Location and view were amazing, especially during sunrise. We were right downtown and had a view of the entire harbor from our room. Breakfast wasn't anything extraordinary. The housekeepers were incredibly nice.
- Susanne (10/5): - Only issue was my room was on the first floor at it got very noisy with staff and guests early. Got woken up at 6:45am and it stayed loud from then on. Love the location and the property is terrific.
- Stephan (10/5): Peep This ----> - The Anchor In Beach House Is A Fantastic Choice For Your Stay In P- town . It Was Clean , Comfortable & Spacious . The Staff Were Very Polite & Helpful . The Location Is TOP SHELF !!! Everthing About Anchor Inn Is AWESOME .... Except The Breakfast . The Breakfast Was SERIOUSLY LIMITED . However , Do NOT Let That Deter Your From Staying Here . This Place Is Amazing !! Thank You Anchor Inn .. We'll Be Back For Halloween !!!
- Michael (10/5): What a wonderful visit - What an incredible place. Our room had an amazing view so it was hard not to just stay in and enjoy it! The hosts were very accommodating and the guess house dog is just the cherry on top. We will definitely stay here again.
- Elaine (10/5): - Spending time with May, the beautiful hotel dog, was the cherry on top!
- CECILIA (4/5): - The view from the deck is breath taking. Unfortunately the room needs major work. The doors to the room and the deck would not close properly without slamming it shut with your body. The deck doors would not lock, and the screen doors would not open properly. The hot water turned cold whenever you filled the tub or took a shower.
There was no place to hang your towels when you were in the shower unless you used the toilet paper holder stand. The remote controls needed instructions to use but there were no instructions available. The bed was horrible, the springs were shot and it was like sleeping in a pot hole.
I would not recommend the hotel.
- Karen (10/5): - The beach view is spectacular, it's location is perfect with easy parking. The owner is friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!
- Eric (8/5): - Charming property, excellent location. Cleaning staff was outstanding! Minor problems with broken screen door handle on porch, main door to room warped and hard to open/close, emergency exit door at end of hall was broken. Room was huge, clean and comfortable.
- Edward (10/5): - Had a perfect stay at the Anchor Inn! The service was exceptional, beds were comfortable, and we will definitely be returning!
- Liberty (10/5): - This is my second stay at Anchor Inn and both have been excellent. Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms and perfect location.
- Brian (10/5): - Great place to stay! Convenient to the down town areas.
- Mahoney (9/5): -
- Dave (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - I couldn't recommend this property more highly - the location is extremely convenient and fairly central, but somehow (at least with a room facing the harbor), I never heard ANY noise from the outside! The owner is friendly, helpful, and down-to-earth (and don't get me started on his adorable dog), and the cleaning staff are friendly and thorough. Breakfast choices were basic but 100% satisfied my breakfast needs and the coffee was great. It was also so pleasant to relax over breakfast on the porch watching the world go by. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for clothes, etc. Having a tiny balcony over looking the water was a special touch. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.
The one downside I would note was the very strong mildew smell in the room - but honestly I think this is something that you almost can't avoid in a B&B that's in a classic older building and right on the water, and it didn't bother me too much. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - and in fact, I plan to!
- Steven (8/5): - We stayed in waterfront queen. View was beautiful. Room itself was small. Drawer space was mostly built in under the bed. Cleaning woman was awesome and so sweet. The house Labrador, May, was a mellow sweetheart. Breakfast offered was limited but fine. Owners werent very social.
- Annie (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (10/5): -
- Judith M (10/5): - Rooms and view were awesome!
- BRENDAN (10/5): - The staff was very friendly. The room was great with an incredible view and plenty of space. Overall a very charming and comfortable property.
- Visagie (4/5): Disappointing - I liked that everything in Provincetown was walking accessible thanks to the location. Even though we had to pay for parking the on site parking was great seeing as parking was very limited in the town. Our bathroom door , closet door didnt shut at all. Their was black mold in the closet as well as the ceiling above our tv in the bedroom. There were holes in the bathroom ceiling.
- April (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (8/5): Very good - The location & the beautiful room Owner wasn’t friendly
- Aaron (10/5): - We definitely want to return as soon as possible!
- Tim (10/5): - Great place to stay, great host, very nice place, will be going again!
- Diego (10/5): - Great location
- George (9/5): Superb -
- James (4/5): Overpriced and Underwhelming - We stayed at The Anchor Inn Beach House in Provincetown, and honestly, it felt wildly overpriced for what we got. The room was tiny and outdated, especially the bathroom — damaged tile, stained grout, and a wall-mounted hairdryer that didn’t even work (and no backup). The old-school metal key was quirky until it stopped working reliably, and there’s no one at the desk 24/7 if you have issues - just a phone number.
The walls were thin (hello, neighbor’s 7am phone call), and the mattress had clearly lived several lives, though the bedding itself was super clean. The location was great, and the woman who cleaned the rooms was genuinely lovely and helpful. But overall? You’re paying a luxury price for motel-level vibes.
- Ismail (7/5): Great location but the rooms are too small - Location was great! The room was way too small. The bathroom light was almost nonexistent. Our room had a great view right on the water, but that also came with that funky harbor smell.
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): A Provincetown Gem - We had a glorious time. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed looking out over the water from our balcony. Convenient to everything in P’town but still quiet and relaxing. A wonderful spot.
- Frederick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): - Location is perfect, rooms are comfortable and nice, views are outstanding, the staff very accommodating and friendly. The front porch is perfect for sitting and people watching. The rear of the property faces the picturesque harbor.
- Nuc (10/5): Exceptional - We had room 119 which was perfect for us.. it had a terrace with chairs to overlook commercial street.. the round design of the room made it really comfortable and have lots of views to the Pilgrim Monument on one side, the pier and water on another ... just perfect. The room has a small fridge. The bathroom awesome. Continental breakfast.
Loved it !
- Jason (10/5): - Fantastic stay, will be back.
- Victor (10/5): - Quiet clean
- Martine (7/5): Good -
- Antonio (8/5): - Okay
- Thomas (7/5): Very expensive place to visit. - Friendly and personable staff. Bed was very comfortable with immaculate sheets and bedding. Bathroom was large, clean, and with a huge tub. The spaces in the guestroom were a bit constricted. One very, very tiny nightstand. No place in bathroom to hang or store towels.
Breakfast was not what I would have expected for the room rate. At close to $500, a piece of fruit would have been nice.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marrell (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay. Right in the center of everything.
- Steve (10/5): - Beautiful property, great location
- Terence (8/5): - Very cute hotel, right in the heart of Ptown. Rooms are on the small side, but perfect for solo traveler. Onsite parking available and very attentive staff.
- Krzysztof (10/5): - An amazing locations, a wonderful room (first king size bed I've had in Ptown <3), a view of the water, and a tub I love to soak in again even during winter (which the gas fireplace on)
- Tom (10/5): Great stay - Great location right on commercial street with very nice ocean views in the back. Thought it might be loud because of location but we found it extremely quiet. Some cosmetic issues that should be fixed for the room price (bathroom wallboard separating and fireplace cover needed painting), but otherwise very nice. Good balcony chairs to enjoy the view.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Lovely inn by the harbor. Enjoyed the front porch with rocking chairs overlooking the Main Street and the balcony overlooking the harbor. Owner was friendly and available and breakfast was good.
Hate to say anything less than positive however in need of some paint touch-ups.
Overall a nice place
- Patricia (10/5): Great place, great people, great location! - Loved the Anchor Inn. Loved the people.
Location was great! The bed was very uncomfortable. Very hard.
The lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter.
- Xiao (8/5): - The location is excellent! However, the room is very tiny, and at some point there was no hot water. The view of the sea from the balcony is beautiful, though. It’s nice to have continental breakfast, but the coffee mug wasn’t completely clean and there was some dark solid stick to the wall of the mug. Compared to how much we pay, this isn’t perfect stay; however, location wise, it is one of the best, especially if you didn’t drive here. The host is fine, but not super friendly or give you any information about the town
- WILLIAM (10/5): - I was a first time visitor to Provincetown and had the good fortune of staying at The Anchor Inn. The owner Chris was extremely helpful in all aspects of the reservation process. The property is perfectly located and walkable convenient to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are meticulously clean and the fireplace was awesome on a cold rainy day. This property is located on the water so the views are spectacular. Every room has its own outdoor private space. Highly recommend this property and I have been told that I am not always o easy to please. I was beyond pleased.
- suzanne (6/5): - Extremely nice inn keeper(s). Great location on Commercial St. Rooms are nothing special. Waterview balconies overlook parking lot. Unfortunately it was too chilly to enjoy lovely front porch. Breakfast was ok.
- Carmelina (10/5): - Not an ocean view.
- Michael (8/5): - Super friendly and accommodating staff. Fantastic location close to everything. Lovely views. Nice porch. Decent continental breakfast. Clean room. We loved this charming old home, though the room was in need of some repair as the bathroom door won't close. Room was small, but comfortable.
- Bruce (10/5): Fantastic - Cleanliness, friendly, quiet and great views Nothing
- Kathleen (10/5): - Great time
- Shelby (8/5): A great place to go with friends! Very much homey vibe! - It was clean, comfortable and owners are very friendly. May is the best! The split in the room did not cool it enough and there was a hole in the ceiling above the shower. Bathroom door would not close.
- Mary-ellen (8/5): Perfect - There was a cancellation so they upgraded for no extra charge to a water view. Continental Breakfast was extremely simple not enough choices.
- Andrea (10/5): Beautiful sunrise views! - The waterfront view of the sunrise is unmatched. Great location, within steps of Spiritus Pizza.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- stephen (10/5): - Amazing property in the center of everything and only 100 feet from the tea party
- Kirk (9/5): Relaxing time in laid back town - Lovely property in the centre of town. Very welcoming owner with helpful advice
- Thom (10/5): Awesome! - Beautiful Provincetown Inn overlooking the bay. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Will reserve again!
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Friedrich (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean
- Carly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Very clean. Parking
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (10/5): - amazing location and a great stay
- Jeffrey (10/5): Amazing - Great location, spacious rooms, and clean. Limited parking
- James (10/5): Staying at the anchor Inn was a wonderful experience. - The central location and the spacious room was really great. The large front porch overlooking commercial Street is a wonderful spot to sip on a cup of coffee in the morning. also, the main level common in the area is a great gathering place.
- Mhorag (6/5): I enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Anchor Inn Beach House but would probably not choose it again as the property is a bit - The location is great although there is no direct access to the beach Everything is a bit worn and needs updating particularly the exterior, curtains, flooring, ceiling in bedroom. Everywhere needs a fresh coat of paint.
- John (10/5): - Loved my stay at this property. My new favorite spot in Ptown.
- Gina (8/5): - The Anchor Inn was a unique stay. We appreciated the easy contact and communication with the hosts.
- Vince (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (10/5): - Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.
- Joyce (10/5): Fantastic!! - Breakfast was great and location was perfect! All was good!
- Turney (9/5): A beautiful place with great food and excellent views. - The room was very well appointed and conveniently located. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were very close to places to eat and had water views. I would not consider Provincetown a town for families with children. The weekend was a "girls weekend" which meant folks from the LGBQTi+ community were out in full force. The crowds were friendly and not raucous, however, some may be uncomfortable in this environment.
- Joanne (10/5): Will be back. Great place to stay while in Ptown. - Fabulous location, attentive staff, comfortable and squeaky clean! A blackout drape in rm 108 would be nice. Sun comes up early and shines right into room.
- samy (10/5): - Great location and hospitable staff
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great front porch for people watching and relaxation!
- Diane (10/5): - Love it!
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (9/5): Great place to stay in the heart of Ptown. - Vacationing in Provincetown for years, I've always walked past the Inn and wondered what it would be like to stay there. Decided to book a few nights in the off-season and experience it in a quieter way. The place wasn't crowded and the continental breakfast was a perk in a town with expensive restaurants. The room had a great bathroom, with a deep soaking tub. The view was on the backside overlooking Ptown harbor and was relaxing to watch the boats and birds. There wasn't really anything.
- Helen (10/5): - Greeted by the owner, very nicely maintained B&B. Lovely view and convenient to walk to many nearby restaurants and avtivities
- Cara (7/5): Good -
- Diane (8/5): Very good -
- Tialyn (7/5): Good -
- Guard (8/5): Excellent location, beautiful ocean views - Great location, love the big front porch, very clean, beautiful view of the ocean. Didn't like paying $25.00 per day to park on property.
- Saida (9/5): Superb -
- Lizzo (8/5): Very good -
- Leslie (10/5): - Balconies overlooking the beautiful bay. Disappointed no microwave in the room 114
- Basita (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (6/5): Ok - Good location The bed was really uncomfortable and sagging
- Susan (10/5): - Property was funkier than the price and pictures would indicate, but (king suite) room was very spacious, and balcony overlooking the harbor was great. Basic continental breakfast was okay. People watching from front porch rockers great. Unless you’re looking to party, avoid weekends, very loud.
