Jefferson, the receptionist, failed to provide basic information such as buffet times, snack bar locations, or general amenities, which made our first day very frustrating. To add to that, we were unexpectedly charged a 15% fee despite showing tourist passports—this felt unfair, especially since I had already booked through Expedia at standard rates. The food overall was average. Buffet meals were served in large batches and often cold. The snack bar offerings were minimal—usually just two nuggets with fries or the occasional burger, pizza, or wings (again, just two per serving). On a positive note, the main pool was beautiful, and the spa was truly the highlight of our stay. The service there was exceptional, and the massage area was relaxing and top-notch.

An hour later the DOUBLED the prices for the same nights. Avoid this place. Family also said the food is barely edible and it doesn't even have a good beach nearby.

Very well done. The white wine was very good and chilled to perfection! At the swimming pool, towels could not be returned after 7:00 PM, which is acceptable. However, the towels could not be turned in when the pool opens the next morning because there were no cards available. The swimming pool starts with zero cards with the HOPE that customers will be requesting towels as soon as they open in the morning. This is completely unacceptable.

I5389JSjuanl (2/5): False Advertisement - The air conditioners in the rooms did not work properly. All inclusive isn't as advertised. If you wanted name brand products you were asked to pay extra. A large percentage of the activities were closed. If you wanted to be transported within the compounds you'd have to wait at least 15 minutes for a ride. You're given a certain time frame to get the food that's offered. If you wait till the last minute you basically eat whatever is left & can't ask for anything else. They have people there trying to scam or force you into some membership for traveling. I didn't allow them to do that. I wouldn't go there again. They don't understand the concept of all inclusive & the website pictures are misleading.

I'm not so sure ... - You should be less rigorous with regard to protocols after Check Out, Hillary's staff deals with people and you have to be very sensible not to hurt susceptibilities. Personally, I experienced a very disappointing situation, it is very bitter to leave two hours of relaxation in the SPA and find that at 3:30 p.m. one is not entitled to even a skewer of meat. I am a platinum member of the North American loyalty program of Marriott called Bonvoy and I see that Ecuador has many years to understand what the service is, the resort and its surroundings are beautiful but when comparing both attentions as an Ecuadorian the only thing I feel is shame.

We have a family tradition for his bday and we received the aid of Jacinto Vite. He was the person in charge of the main restaurant and made our stay 100 times better. Vi var der bare en natt, men fikk med oss et show og god middag. Skulle gjerne vært der et par dager til og opplevd mer av anlegget, park og natur. Verified traveler (6/5): Resort en medio de la selva - Deben mejorar, en mi habitacion 4020 me pusieron en las 3 camas sabanas manchadas, deben capacitar al personal no todos saben lo que el hotel ofrece, deben mantener limpio los pasillos y areas de caminar del hotel de las hojas que caen, no estan habilitadas todas las cosas que ofrecen en el catálogo, el agua de las piscinas es muy fria, deben poner mas distracciones en la noche, tipo cine, juegos,

Leen (4/5): No bang for your buck - The hotel charges A rates and gives you a B-type drinks. Local distilled moonshine seems to be the main alcoholic beverage and at the VIP pool beer is poured out of a salad bin. The food generally speaking is good, tasteful and varied, the disappointment came during New Year's Eve dinner, being the same as any other night. On top of that, wine is of mediocre quality and not even for NY eve a better bottle was offered. The maintenance has been overlooked on many issues, small details and larger details show signs of wear and tear. The facilities are three years old, but appear older. The surroundings of the resort are worth your while, the pools are great, yet the main pool tends to overcrowd as the resort sells day passes as well. If you travel with a wheelchair or stroller, be aware not all areas are easily accesible, although the staff is more than prepared to help you out. I was very impressed by the drivers, great guys, each one of them, as were the guys at the restaurant. On the room, swell, nice presentation, not enough closets (only one tiny closet) so we lived out of our suitcases for the stay. And among the suitcases, as there was no room to store them. Under the bed an old sock was found, the room temp was 100 degrees upon arrival and the airco only managed to reduce the temp after sun set. During day time the airco, set at 75 F could not lower the temp to less than 90 F. Prior to this qualification, I sent a mail to the management, still no reply.

Como sugerencia podría mencionar , que sería factible cuenten con un plan médico de emergencia en caso de requerirlo algún huésped , ya que mi acompañante en el viaje tuvo un problemita de salud y tuvieron que trasladarme a otro lugar para solucionarlo....
cecilia (6/5): un hermoso hotel con servicio al cliente x aprende - El hotel es nuevo y tiene una super infraestructura. Yo tuve una mala experiencia con el hotel porque me quisieron cobrar doble. Yo pague el valor completo d toda la habitacion con hoteles.com y la ejecutiva de reservas gabriela ... insistia en q yo pague solo la reserva y tenia q pagar la diferencia. Mi caso fue el primero de pago total d una habitacion a traves d esta web con Hillary resort. Tanto insisti q finalmente Gabriela llamo a la oficina d expedia en quito y me dieron la razon. yo no dormir bien. Solucionar este inconveniente solo costaba una llamada a Quito q tercamente la jefe d reservas no queria hacer. Cuando pedi q me den un check out hasta las 6pm considerando todas las molestias ocasionadas, me quisieron cobrar extra. Fue necesario escalar y llegar al gerente d operaciones para q finalmente no me cobren x el late check out. Al final me pidieron disculpas, pero eso no borra el mal momento y mi falta d sueño. Creo q d esta experiencia el hotel aprendio mucho.
