• René (8/5): Bisschen teuer - Im grossen und ganzen Gut. Die Zimmer waren Neu, man roch sogar noch den Holzzuschnitt 😁 Mitten drin und das Personal ist nett. Das negative und das ist dem Alter des Gebäudes geschuldet; es ist sehr hellhörig. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat braucht Ohropax. Mit 300.- ist es dann doch sehr teuer, wenn man mit anderen, gleichwertigen vergleicht.

• Tamara (10/5): Very pleased with the ease of checking/checkout, the comfort, restaurant, and parking. - Location was wonderful and central to shopping and restaurants and in good location for day trips elsewhere in the Westfjords. Parking is free and plentiful. There is an elevator. Room was comfortable and quiet at night. Hotel restaurant closes at 9pm. With long daylight hours (sunset at 11pm), it’s easy to miss this deadline.
• Mary (9/5): A perfect place to stay while visiting a special area of Iceland that leaves one both spellbound and peaceful. - Easy walking proximity to everything. Lovely community to stroll through.Updated room furnishings, good awareness of environmental protection. Liked the very close restaurant access and the morning breakfast inclusion in the room rate is very good. I was in Room 302 and during the night hours(2-3 am) whoever was above me could easily be heard walking or moving a chair around. Very poor soundproofing on the ceiling in 302 and the flooring in 402. Could be very annoying for a light sleeper.

• Wade (8/5): - Great, central location. Staff were very accommodating and getting us into the restaurant, Logn, for dinner Dinner was good, however no one check to see how our food was. My partner ordered a burger and they missed the bacon that was supposed to be on it. We were completely done before anyone came by. Breakfast buffet was really good with a lot of selection. The street that leads to the hotel is closed when the cruise ships are in, so it is hard to get to the front of the hotel if you follow Google maps. Limited parking in the front of the hotel and free public parking lot beside the hotel. Was really full when we arrived and had to wait until someone left.

• Stephan (4/5): Horn ist nicht gleich Torg - Das Personal war sehr bemüht Lösungen zu finden. So wurde uns für die Unannehmlichkeiten ein Abendessen mit Getränk aufs Haus angeboten. Das war auch sehr gut! Isafjördur ist sehr schön und die Lage beider Hotels (Horn und Torg) ist sehr zentral. Einen Tag vor unserer Anreise wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Hotel Torg jetzt geschlossen wird und wir deswegen im Hotel Horn untergebracht werden. Eine kostenlose Stornierung wurde nicht angeboten, nur ein Drink. Wir hatten uns während der Buchung bewusst gegen dieses Hotel entschieden und waren nicht zufrieden mit der Umbuchung. Aber es blieb aufgrund der Jahreszeit auch wenig übrig. Das Zimmer roch sehr schlecht, intensiv nach Altöl. Nach Beschwerde würden uns einige andere Zimmer gezeigt, die auch irgendwie unangenehm rochen. Das 5. Zimmer war dann okay und wir blieben.

• Cesar (9/5): Very nice hotel, great room with a view, friendly staff and good breakfast - Very nice hotel, centrally located to many restaurants, markets, bakeries and shops. Rooms are good sized and with a good view. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. One common problem in Iceland is that the water kettle or coffeemaker have a short power chord and/or don't have a nearby AC Plug. You have to figure out how to plug them.

• Margit (7/5): Recht altes Hotel mit mäßig freundlichem Personal in top Lage in Isafjördur. - Sehr gute Lage im Zentrum von Isafjördur. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, wo laufend nachgelegt wurde. Recht großes Zimmer - aber eines der unrenovierten ohne Blick aufs Wasser. Die nicht renovierten Zimmer, von denen wir eines hatten, sind von der Ausstattung nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Alter, schmutziger Teppichboden. Ein funktionsloses Plastik-Radio am Kopfende, an dem man sich beim Aufsetzen im Bett den Kopf stößt. Fleckige Sessel. Das Personal an der Rezeption war zum Check in und Check out recht freundlich, dazwischen wurde man konsequent ignoriert - wir waren 4 Tage dort/3 Nächte und erlebten in dieser Zeit keinen Gruß und kein Lächeln beim Vorbeigehen an der Rezeption.

• Fred (8/5): Very nice but improve breakfast. - The only reason for the 4 star rating was that the breakfast could have been better. Only fruit selection was pineapple and bananas. There was no coffee machine and the water for the tea was initially cold.

• Mary (9/5): Hotel that meets expectations in great location. - This property is well located on the waterfront and central to the town. The rooms are modern with the amenities you expect at a hotel. We stayed at this property at two different times over a 10-day period. We thought we had booked a double room the first time, and a triple the second time. We had thought we were booking additional space, but were told it’s the same room they just add a third bed (which we didn’t need, but wasn’t in our room when we arrived). I would clarify on Booking.com what you are getting with each room type before booking.

• A (10/5): Gem of a hotel - Friendly, welcoming staff. The hotel had a warming atmosphere. Location was tremendous, surrounded by mountains and fjords. Parking available. And the restaurant food was tremendous.

The restaurant on site was excellent for dinner and the complimentary breakfast. We also received a 10% discount at the restaurant for dinner since we were staying there.
