- PairofFalcons (10/5): Nice location, well appointed and engaged staff - We recently stayed with the Prestige Lakeside in Nelson on a Anniversary Road Trip. This location is very well appointed, clean and inviting and the staff is very attentive and engaged. When we arrived at our room there was a lovely hand written note with a bottle of champagne which was a nice surprise. We found the location to be very walkable to downtown Nelson and the walkway along the lake was a plus. Our only suggestion would be for some hooks to be added to the bathroom so that they is a place to hang towels or housecoats. Thank you for a nice stay!

- Carla (9/5): - The location on the water was wonderful, interior lobby/common areas were all beautifully decorated and clean. Our room was also very nice, and it was awesome having a balcony looking out onto the river. The parking lot was quite full unfortunately; we had to park a fair ways away from the entrance, so bringing our luggage etc back and forth was a bit challenging. The restaurant looked really nice but was very small and booked up, so we had to eat elsewhere. A bit disappointing as we were hoping to try it.

- Josie (10/5): - Location was fantastic. The view was beautiful and the front desk staff were lovely. Someone's alarm in the next room over was going off from 5am-6am. My husband tried calling down to the front desk but no one answered. Maybe there should be someone available to answer calls at all times? That's the only thing that went wrong. Everything else was fantastic.

- MARK (2/5): Never again. - The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Certain breakfast,s were no good. The eggs Benedict was horrible. The prosciutto was more than hard as a rock. The steak dinner had broccoli that tasted awful. The room had a bulb between beds that didn't, produce enough light for reading. Asked for that to be fixed, but it didn't,t happen. The toilet need the handle to be giggled to stop the running. The price was 20 dollars more on average for some better places in town. The room for 4 nights was at the end of a very long hallway. The first night, which cost more for the weekend, was a small kids hockey tournament. Lots of noise. I would have thought that a room closer to the lobby would be nice for a 4 day customer. The beds are too soft and the pillows too hard. I never give reviews , but this time I am.

I like the fact they offer the environmental option of room service but this isn't pushed. We accepted the voucher on occasion but wanted room service on other occasions and both were accepted without issue. I would recommend this hotel without reservation

- chris (10/5): Terrific hospitality and welcome stay. - Terrific location right on the marina, peaceful and serene. Staff were wonderful, so helpful. We moved rooms to get a water side one (much recommended unless you want to view the carpark) and this was no issue. Arranged everything seamlessly. Pub was lovely with good food and drink. Rooms were very comfortable, the mattress and bedding were first class. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Nothing really - I suppose recognise that the city view room is overlooking the car park without a balcony.

- RandPUk (8/5): Lovely experience by the lake - Great setting on the lake . Welcoming staff, easy parking. Reasonable pool facility. Lake view room well equipped and comfortable bed. Ground floor room with access to outside area and seat / table.. nice to view lake but not private, easily overlooked by neighbouring rooms from where conversations carry easily. Bathroom ok but shame shower over bath with shower curtain. Needs an upgrade to walk in shower. 15 minute walk on an incline to downtown Nelson. Just opposite tram , which is a fun way to spend an hour . Brixx brewhouse was great. Quite busy probably because 10 dollar happy hour promotion! Good to have an outside bar table watching the lake. Friendly and helpful staff , good local beer choices and excellent burger menu. Highly recommended chef led experience. I think they do different promotions of their menu most nights of the week. Well worth checking it out. Empire coffee was a big let down. The most unfriendly staff of our whole trip, unpleasant breakfast muffin, unclean and unstable table . Give it a miss,

- Christine 18 (9/5): Amazing views and friendly staff - Amazing location and very comfortable beds, watching boats in the marina was a highlight Shower pressure was not great but I understand that is done to conserve water. It would be nice if there was a stroller friendly entrance to the hotel from the city walking path towards Lakeside park, we had to lift our stroller over the curb.

- Douglas Sebelius (9/5): - The location of the hotel is excellent. Right on the water, right down the street from downtown, and you can have a good walk down the water to the park area. The restaurant is excellent, and beautiful to sit outside on the deck for dinner. Staff was very kind and accommodating. Room is spacious with a big bathroom. Unfortunately my room wasnt ready until 530pm. So I had to wait about an hour and a half for my room. I was compensated with a couple drinks which was great.

- Gwyn (10/5): Great place for a getaway! - Best place for a romantic getaway! We brought our dog and we're able to stay in a suite. The hotel is just beside downtown, walkable, but the view of the lake each morning was well worth it!

You can also rent kayaks at the marina and e-bikes at the resort. Inquire, it might be included in your room rate. Very impressed with Nelson and surroundings, great vacation, we will return.

ALL hotel amenities/finishes have been updated… Unlike a lot of many other hotels that only worry about common areas. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was updated and clean! Nothing really… I suppose if we’re being picky, we arrived early and had to wait until 4 PM to check in. So, no early check-in..

We were told what was happening in town and all the services they provided. The rooms were very clean. Lots of room, coffee machine was great. It was quiet. Comfortable bed and soft towels. There are toiletries, and the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing. The whole family loved staying there. Loved that you could press the maid button if your room needed cleaning. The view was absolutely beautiful. We can not wait to come back. Nothing. The place is great.
