- Anne (2/5): - Rooms are smaller than my bathroom in NYC apartment . No AC. Everything is super old that even when I plugged in my portable travel steamer for clothes it literally burnt it RIP. Staircase only! It’s narrow and if you have suitcases - good luck carrying it, also hotel cancelled my reservation as they said oh we do not work with Expedia . Do not recommend

It is for FREE in any other hotel!! * The grandfather who owns the place forbids his grandchildren from giving more than 1 ..yes ONE roll of toilet paper!!!! *Dirty anything!! * Zero Amenities or hotel room stuff NOTHING!! Could hear s** next door, people smoking cigarettes everywhere , walls paper thin. The location was awful, nothing near and at night there was drunk, homeless, and drugged up people everywhere. Please do not stay here for your own sake.

- Aaron (2/5): I cleaned Room | Unable to Resolve Issue - This was a cost effective hotel and the amenities are minimal which is okay, had no problem with. The first receptionist was very nice and kind. I checked in and got to my room. The beds were made and appeared clean but there was hair and small particles all over the sheets and pillows. I mentioned this to a different receptionist and he moved me to another room but that room also had the same issue with dirty sheets. The receptionist said they had no more rooms. I asked what am I supposed to do and he said nothing. I then asked if I needed a refund and he told me to contact Hotels.com . I grabbed my stuffed from the room and checked out, returning the key. I contacted Hotels.com about the situation and they contacted the hotel. The hotel denied a refund but offered a ‘free’ stay for my room. I already had to move to another place so I no longer needed their services and persisted on a refund. The hotel denied a refund in reference their policy. Even after saying that they were not able to provide a room for me that they did not have any left available. They still will not offer me a refund and hotels.com was not able to assist or hold the hotel accountable for not having available rooms for me. I still have not received a refund for a room that was not clean or sanitary to be in. Will not recommend booking. You may run the risk of a room that is not suitable to stay in and they are not willing to issue a refund

It's actually a hotel. They don't mention that in the app's description. You can hear all kinds of unpleasant noises. I want my refund so I can go to another hotel. This app charges you for advance payment, and they don't tell you about it. I didn't authorize the advance charge, and now I no longer trust that they have my bank details. I write to their app, and they ignore me. I will not stay at this France 18 hotel; it's horrible, and there's no security for your belongings. The France 18 hotel is disgusting; it smells like cigarettes and other things. A terrible place for the price they charge, plus the taxes they don't tell you about, and they raise the price by more than 20 euros over the quoted price. Don't use this app; it's terrible. Really, on my trip to Spain and France, you have been a terrible service intermediary. The flight was also delayed. They offer a price and then increase the rate. They lie when questioned about a lodging charge that you, as an app, made, improperly using my bank and personal information.

La recepción y habitaciones solo se puedes acceder por escaleras fijas, pero el recepcionista fue amable conmigo y me ayudó a subir mi maleta. La habitación se limpió todos los días que estuve ahí. Si tienes que pasar 1 o 2 noches en Paris, es Perfecto. El baño es compartido pero como fui en temporada baja, solo lo compartía con otro huésped.

The staffs are very kind and they allowed me the late chack-in in midnight and kept my luggage after check-out. It was a bad point that although I stayed at 5th floor, there was no lift and it was necessary to use the spiral staircase. If a traveller has heavy laggages, it is not easy to reach the room which locates a upper floor.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place for a stay. - I had a great stay. I appreciated the room, and the ease of access to the utilities. I was sleeping with the window open usually because I would get a little hot, and they gave me a fan. The check in and check out process was very simple and ran smoothly. It is also very close to Montmarte, Pigalle, and is next to plenty of subway stations.

The staff was friendly and attentive when asked for information or requiring any service. The only inconvenience is that the toilet and shower rooms are shared, something that I didn’t noticed while doing the bookings; however, it was always tidy and claen.

The hotel it self is on Boulvard Barbes,who doesnt have good reputation, but this part was good, not a problem at all.Is just 2 tube station from gare du nord. My room was very clean,very good bed, Quiet.shower room was in the corridor.Small and clean. Is a small bulding, then narrowed corridor and narrow stair case. Is a budget hotel then dont expect The Ritz. Over all great stay,good location,very good staff. I do not understand all those complaints ???

- shC5802LI (10/5): Good value for money if all you need is a bed and shower - I needed a hotel room close to Gare du Nord for one night only with my child. I didn’t want to pay ££££ for a few hours of sleep. I booked it on the Saturday morning and arrived late in the evening for £50. Bargain. I have rated it 5 stars, not because it’s a “lovely” hotel, but because price/convenience/location/cleanliness factors. It served its purpose perfectly well and the pics were realistic. I had no expectation of this being fancy in any way. It was basic and the bathroom was clean. Water pressure in the shower was good. Bed sheets were clean. There was no AC but there was a fan. It was great to be located so close to the wonderful attractions of Montmartre. The neighborhood was quite cool - very diverse, and you get a sense of a different Paris (eg migrants had set up their own little street market selling nuts and other wares; one guy was cooking kebabs from a shopping trolley - it was fascinating to see!). We didn’t feel unsafe walking back to the hotel at midnight. Sure, it isn’t the prettiest neighbourhood, but it was very conveniently located and <2 mins walk from the metro and 10 mins to Gare du Nord. My child and I slept very well and the temperature was perfect with the fan. If you have mobility issues or don’t like lugging baggage up a narrow spiral stair case, this isn’t for you!! The hotel, most likely, is used by prostitutes and their clients given its location, however, I didn’t see/hear any. I saw lots of tourists coming in and out. I felt perfectly safe with my child. This would not be my first choice for a longer stay (we used the room for no more than 7 hours for sleep/shower) but was fine for a few hours. As long as you have realistic expectations, aren’t of a sensitive disposition, and don’t need mollycoddling, you’ll be fine here. It added to our overall experience of staying in France. The guy at reception was lovely! It is cheaper to book direct through the hotel than on other websites.
- patrice (2/5): FUYEZ !!! - Je ne savais pas que pour 228.80€ pour 2 nuits, j'aurai la chance d'avoir a partager mes WC et ma douche avec tout l'étage. La chambre est aussi grande qu'un placard et il y a un lavabo a disposition comme en 1950. En 15 ans et après 2 nuits par semaine, il est dans mon TOP 5 des pires hotels de Paris.

- Clifford (6/5): Deplorable condition needs closed down - This place is deplorable. The rooms are dirty, the flooring is ripped, mold on bathroom walls and shower. Those pictures have to be 20 years old. The area is less desirable and sketchy to say the least. I would not recommend this property for anyone
- Trevor (2/5): - We booked really last minute as our plans changed and were happy we found what looked like a decent place to stay. While the staff was really helpful and friendly, the actual hotel space itself was not okay. The room was not fully clean - hairs in the bathroom and on the bed. Even while we had already paid for our 1 night stay at this location, we ended up booking another hotel and leaving shortly after checkin as it didn't live up to what was presented in the pictures and we didn't feel it was clean. Again, the staff was really friendly and provided the only positive part of this experience.

I woke up to a charge of €50 which was not explained to me. The next day he knocked on my door. I could hear him walking around on my floor. He also didn’t wear a mask, not even when he interacted with me. I feel bad because one of the guys was great I don’t know his name but he was there during the day he was so kind and helpful. The night concierge made me feel really uncomfortable especially as a woman traveling alone. I felt like I had to checkout early, I didn’t feel comfortable staying there alone.

- Rafal (6/5): Keep yourself out of that place and area. - I am travelling ones a month at different areas of World since 2007. That was WORST experience of my life. Hotel is at theoretically located at most visited area (Montmartre, Moulin Rouge) but same time is considered most danger and unpleasant zone in Paris. I have seen tourists attacked at Subway and robbed at daylight without any consideration of authorities and coo-travellers. There is many warning about pickpockets but what I experienced was robbery by force. Closest subway is closed at Sunday until 10am. After dark place is crowded with shady individuals and prostitutes. Hotel is dirty and completely outdated. Most rooms are promoted as "shared bathroom" but in fact closest bathroom is at OTHER floor of hotel. There is toilet at every floor!(sic!) Staff very nice and helpful (yey!!!) Now You are considered officially warned.

Vimos una pelea a pocos minutos del hotel, de noche muy poco recomendable salir. En cuanto al hotel, baño de apenas 5m2, sucio y con el pestillo roto abierto a los clientes del hotel. Habitación minimamente limpia, pero con una puerta que por arriba transluce luz al pasillo y quita intimidad. Hotel ruidoso, se oye absolutamente cada cosa del resto de habitaciones. Trato nulo y justo. Nada recomendable, se llama hotel por poner algo, se trata más de un hostel mal gestionado, decadente y en un barrio peligroso.

- Thierry (2/5): Une honte - Les photos présentées sur le site doivent avoir au moins 10 ans. Pas de toilettes dans la chambre et pas de salle de bain non plus. Il faut descendre 2 étages sans ascenseur bien évidement pour prendre une douche. Les 5 étages dans un escalier très très étroit avec la valise sont un réel calvaire. La réception est spartiate avec un personnel qui ne connaît pas le sourire. La chambre est pas équipée du tout. La télévision est bien présente mais fonctionne une fois sur deux. Les pauvres touristes qui passe dans cet hôtel doivent avoir un bon souvenir de l’hôtellerie a la française. Pourtant le tarif est quand même élever. A éviter, je ne comprends même pas comment Hôtel.com peut recommander cet établissement, ce seras d’ailleurs ma dernière réservation sur ce site...
- Verified traveler (2/5): Meget skuffende! - Virkeligheden er noget helt andet end billederne. Det var meget skuffende. Alt var forfaldent. Tapetet falder af vægge, der var mug/skimmelsvamp på badeværelset. Derudover var gangene meget beskidte samt der lugtede indelukket på værelset. Vi var 2 arbejdskollegaer der skulle bo på samme værelse, med enkeltsenge. De havde den første nat givet vores værelse væk til nogle andre, så vi måtte dele en 1,40 cm seng. Meget lidt tilfredsstillende! Vil ikke anbefale det til nogen.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok hotel - Fint lille hotel, god service. Men meget små værelser, som ikke lever op til billeder, samt bittesmå toilet/bad. Nogle stikkontakter drillede deriblandt nøglekort kontakten til strømmen på værelset.
- ReLeOh (2/5): Not a good choice! - If you go to the hotel, you should have no expectations. The room is too small, very unhygienic, everywhere is a lot of dust and in the bathroom is mold on the walls. In order to enjoy a nice stay in the city of love, I advise against this hotel. The hotel staff are not willing to compromise and did not want to give us the money back as we actually wanted to stay there for three nights but instead only stayed one night. Three nights for two people cost € 173 for an unhygienic room on a busy street. You have to be lucky to get a room with a bathroom, because not every room has a bathroom. For those without a bath, there are shared showers. The hotel did not really seem safe as you felt like it might collapse at any moment. If you want to go to Paris, do not go to this hotel, please.
- Sarah (8/5): Welcoming staff, quiet hotel and clean room. - A last minute booking to this hotel after a bad experience at a hostel. We arrived at 11.30pm and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good location close to Montmartre and several metro stations. Our first night the area outside was quite loud which made it hard to sleep with the windows open (it was very hot), but this quietened down during the rest of the week. The shared toilet was a little bit smelly but overall not the worst. The shower was great, very powerful and big enough to change in the shower room. The shower room did smell a little of damp but overall again, not the worst and definitely much better than our previous hostel. Would stay here again if on a budget!

They trate me bad, the room was VERY hot, without aircon or fan, dirty, with hair from another people, without elevator (we were in the last floor). Don’t go this hotel. It don’t deserve it, the price should be cheaper.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a good place to stay. Though Paris was hot, the room was quite comfortable at night. The rooms was a little small, but we didn't have any problem. Toilets and showers were clean. The stairs were narrow but it was manageable. The neighborhood was sketchy at night, but it didn't bother me too much. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. He let us check-in earlier since our bus arrived a couple of hours early. I would stay here in the future.

- Peakay (6/5): Lovely staff, not so great hotel - The hotel room itself was marked and had a hole in the table. The bed was decent but the pillows were horrible. The local area is pretty rough, and there’s building work going on right outside the hotel which woke us up every morning at 6 am. The shared shower was acceptable. However the staff were lovely and were kind and welcoming. It’s decent enough for a night or two but not anymore than that.
- Cody (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - DO NOT STAY HERE!! Worse place I've ever stayed. Negative stars. Place is old, rundown, and dirty. Rooms are tiny and not clean. Toilet and bathroom are separate and shared by the entire floor, and are gross. Rooms are hot and no air conditioning; had to open window for air but outside was very noisy, so didn't sleep much. And of course there was construction noise outside. Bed and pillow were hard and uncomfortable. Hallway smelled bad and lights were flickering. No elevator and stairs are narrow. And I killed 2 BEDBUGS ON MY PILLOW AT 6 IN THE MORNING!! Also, area is not nice, dirty, and we didn't feel safe. We checked out a night early and booked a different hotel. Only good thing was front desk guy was nice.

- Gulnoza (8/5): Good value for money - Good choice for a few nights to sleep. Clean bedsheets and towels. Supermarket next door, nice eateries and metro within the walking distance.

Old building with small stairs and halls big enough for one person only. If you get shared bathroom option, you have to walk 2 stories to get to bathroom.

- Resort43525281194 (2/5): Disgusting, predatorial fraudsters - My boyfriend and I had booked a room for a few nights' holiday. Upon arrival we found the place to be absolutely disgusting -- dirty, urine all over the bathroom floors, etc. We requested the reception cancel our reservation so we could find another place to stay. However, we soon discovered this was a very busy weekend in Paris with nearly all hotels in the area fully booked. Consequently, we asked the reception if we could claim our booking for the first 2 nights after all, giving us time to find a new place. At this point, the manager informed us the room had already been booked and the hotel was full, and thus that we would get a full refund. So, imagine our surprise when, a few weeks later, we discovered we had been charged for the room that we in fact were not allowed to stay in because the hotel rented it out to someone else! Despite repeated calls the hotel is refusing to cooperate. Every time hotels.com calls them they pretend not to speak English (although they do). I cannot emphasise this enough: if you want to stay in a nice, clean, friendly hotel, AVOID THIS PLACE! They are fraudsters who prey on tourists. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

- Elisabeth (8/5): Convenient and Welcoming - A rather 'be careful at night' part of town but very close to walk to Sacre Coeur and the fantastic location of Montmatre, so convenient. Very welcoming staff and room kept clean, with big white towels and reasonable shower (despite a badly cracked tile). It is a budget hotel so the rickety stairs to the fifth floor were a bit of a challenge, and the bathroom was tiny. I could see effort had been made to put nice curtains in misshapen room, also a phone, TV and desk...but it's an old style tenement Parisien building.

- Rikke (6/5): Sketchy area, okay enough hotel. - We had a room with our own bathroom (shared bathroom is an option). The room itself was tiny, but it was decent and was cleaned every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a small hotel (with no elevator), so pack light! Ps: The stairs are tight and steep. We didn't spend much time in the room, as we explored the city. The local area felt a bit sketchy, and I would not feel comfortable walking there at night alone being a girl. But just a couple of streets away you have the beautiful Montmartre..Oh, and wifi doesn't really work in the room.

Double room with private bath had everything you need for a short stay, but was pretty run down just as the rest of the hotel. There was a moldy smell in the room the whole time. Furthermore, it was quite noisy. Location is central, unfortunately the neighborhood is a bit shady in the evening. Staff was friendly.

- Maya (2/5): Disgusting hotel and rude abusive staff - * Hotel spiral staircase: death trap!!! * Reception desk staff: rude, aggressive and told me to get out! * Bathroom: very small and basic. * Bedroom: on the 3rd floor and basic.... probably had bedbugs. * No lift!!!! * Seating/lounge area: looked very basic with ripped chairs covered with tape. Broken tiles. Area: seedy and rough. Place for tourists to get mugged! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!
