Guest Reviews
- Kamran (4/5): - Room has very strong smell.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is nice and clean but the bathroom is very tiny. It is adequate for the price paid
- Verified traveler (6/5): saffron - guys in hotel asking extra money for food even if i paid online
- Bernard (8/5): Great location/Value for money. - I enjoyed my trip to Dubai, Saffron hotel is a brilliant location fantastic staff very friendly and helpful.
Good value for money. Would love too return for a longer for a longer stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was close to restaurants and stores.
The wasroom was tiny. The toilet was in front of the sink and i could not even stand infront of sink. The shower was tiny with a handheld shower with poor water pressure. The room stunk of smoke or stale sheets. There was no lock from inside. Tow3ls were so thin and hard.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - シャワーの水圧が弱い。
- Verified traveler (8/5): Jag - Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.
Valuta för pengarna
- Verified traveler (4/5): First and last time staying there - needs major up - Never staying there again. Should be more clean and needs major upgrade
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rude staff - The staff was rude and would not let me use a towel and The first room they gave me smells like smoke. Then they gave me a room with two beds versus one bed. They never clean the room
- Gianluca (10/5): - la camera è abbastanza grande, pulita e curata.
Personale gentile e posizione abbastanza comoda
- Jorgen (8/5): Good value for money in Deira - Good value for money, fairly quiet and close to Metro
- Micke (6/5): Försökte luras - Hotellet ok. Bara en natt för vidare flygfärd. Det trista var att man försökte ta betalt fast vi redan betalat boendet.
- Sherif (2/5): - Staff is so rude
Not allowing guests in rooms
Took to much time to confirm my reservation from Expidia
- Queen (2/5): Poor customer service at Saffron Hotel - I am writing to rate Saffron Hotel 1 out of 10 because it's members of staff do not have customer service/care. For the fist two days, we begged them for toilet papers but we never provided, nobody cleaned our room up to the time we left, the room was dirty as if they didn't know that we are coming. It's only the restaurant which has members of staff with good customer service.
But to say the truth, I can't recommend anyone to book for this Saffron Hotel am sorry.
- dino (10/5): Very nice - The best vacation ever, frendly stuff, decent room with decent breakfest.
Overall exscelent budget hotel, would recommend to stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Asiakaspalvelua ei ollut ollenkaan, huonetta ei siivottu kertaakaan. Suihkussa ei ollut painetta, jolloin peseytyminen oli mahdotonta.
- JB (4/5): You get what you pay for. - A cheap place to stay. If you're a clean freak stay away. Plenty of mould and groomed in the bathroom. WiFi was crap, telephone wasn't connected to wall duei to having no plug. But the a/c was ok, main thing required for Dubai.
- Ahmed (10/5): No free wifi - very nice and clean rooms, would have been perfect if only Wi-Fi was free
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap Hotel - Had no problems besides the fact that it was advertised as a free wi-fi. Had to pay D$20 which is less than a fiver. But connection was really bad and I couldn't use face time with my daughter back home.
- Zane (2/5): Not the best of Options - Firstly the hotel is not in the best of conditions and has serious issues with hygeine. Would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.
- Harini Parsons (8/5): Nice close to shopping and supermarket.. - Room just little to small for us..convenience located to eatery and grocery..
- Hana (2/5): Very small rooms. - Not friendly staff....i am an Arab but i can speak Hindi. The hindi speaking staff were speaking in hindi against me. They were mocking at me as i got difficult in parking in the small area of parking.
Unprofessional staff, including the reception staff. One night stay is fine as i didnt hv option. But will not stay there again. Parking is chargeable 50 dhs per night which is a lot. No wifi available.
- Naiara (6/5): - the saty was good, we just used the hotel to have a shower and sleep.
However, there were leaks in the bathroom and there was no wifi in the lobby area as they they say in the hotel description. We asked for it and told us they don t want to give it for free. Actually, if you want wifi, you have to pay for it. Hence, in my opinion, they should change it in the description.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very bad experience - Please do not go to this property. Hotel staff may come to your room any time during your stay without knocking, using the spare key. They do not even feel sorry for disturbing you while sleeping. Not only happened with me but also seen them doing this with other guests. All of sudden two persons came in for AC maintenance.
- ABDULLAH (10/5): - Great please, frindly staff
But the toilet is small and the TV chanel need to be arranged
- Sandeep (4/5): Decent for quick layover - I was there for only about 5 hours, just a layover between flights. The room is decent enough for a cheap place near the airport. They even did wake up calls.
The guy at the check in wanted to hold on to my passport and give it to me when I leave. I told him to scan it instead. he did that and returned my passport. Thought that was slightly weird. Otherwise everything was good.
Booked a careem ride to the airport using mozio, and it was $8 or so to get to the airport.
- Abdul (10/5): Friendly Staff, Great Location - Stayed for 2 nights here... Nice hotel walk-able distance to metro...have many supermarkets nearby..
Plus points
1. All amenities nearby
2. Neatly maintained
3. Sufficient space for single or couple with less luggage
4. Good price compared to other hotels in Dubai
Minus points
1. Wi-Fi on payment 20 dh per day
2. Only basic breakfast will be given.
3. Rooms will not be sufficient for a family with kids.
4. No pool or garden, parking..
Overall it's a good hotel for single or couple going on budget, May not suit families
- Abdul (10/5): Good Staff, Great Location - Stayed for 4 nights here... Nice hotel walkable distance to metro...have many supermarkets nearby..

- Nishanth (6/5): Reasonable for a budget hotel. - Hotel Saffron is a budget hotel so set your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed. It could definitely be cleaner, but the hotel was probably in decent shape for something in this price range. Don't expect much from breakfast, it can get boring after the first 2-3 days and the coffee is absolutely useless so do yourself a favour and pass. The proximity to the metro is a big fat winner!
- Manfred (8/5): Anytime again.... - Exellent
Good value for the price. Good location near Metro and close to City Center Mall.
Quiet neighborhood, friendly service, very comfortable room. Very satisfied.
- Badar (4/5): Ok - It was ok, as expected
- Paul Smith (8/5): Nice room - a very nice room, quiet and comfortable. location is good for everywhere. breakfast is simple and tasty. staff friendly and the on site restaurant does good cheap meals.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wifi was 20 dirhams per day. In this day and age - Wifi could have been provided for free. Rest of stay was great!
- Kurt (4/5): Hotel review - Spent as little time as possible in the hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again, spend a few more bucks, it's worth it - Filthy!!!
- claire (6/5): Paying for what you get, under average but ok - Hotel room is fine, close to metro but 40 mins-1 hour from all standard holiday activity areas. Paying 30-50 Durham in taxis to get places. Breakfast offer terrible, got food poisoned one day from it.example of food: omelette, curry, toast, slice cheese. didnt clean room while we were there for 6 days. Try get you to go on their trips and don't seem to know much info when askin questions to get there yourselves. Overall it's ok if you want to stay somewhere cheap and happy to get metro to places
- gene (8/5): - Hotel has wonderful location, close to metro stop, large shopping mall, and many cafes, coffee shops, fast food chains, and restaurants. Good breakfast buffet. Helpful, courteous, and professional staff. Highly recommended, if you want a clean, quiet, and economical place to stay in Dubai.
- Victoria (6/5): not the best hotel - There is no free shuttle or free wifi as advetised on the site the wifi cost 20 dirrhams a day and it didnt work so went and got a sim card when I left they tried to charge me for wifi usage so I refused to pay took me about 4 times of telling them I didnt use it before they accepted it skype and viber is also blocked by the govt
- Verified traveler (4/5): not that bad overall - dont known if its just me.. but the tv is not user friendly. bed is too close to the door and there is no second lock for the door
- soh (6/5): Was okay - Room was nice but apart form cockroches in the bathroom at times but apart from that hotel was in good location.
- Patrick (10/5): Good value - Room was small but fine for one person. Very clean and well organized.
It is a small hotel and taxi drivers may not know how to find it so bring a map.
- mozammel (4/5): “Saffron Hotel”- Dubai - Hotel is very well located, close to public metro, airport & city centre. Plenty of shops and good restaurants just around the corner. But -
- Staff is not very helpful
- Internet Don't work properly
- Shower is tiny and dirty
- Mozammel (4/5): - Hotel is well located, close to public metro, airport, & city. Plenty of shops and good restaurants just around the corner. The breakfast at the hotel was Okay. But-
- Staffs are not very helpful
- Internet don't work properly
- Shower is tiny and dirty.
- Spotty (6/5): Good for the money - Close to Metro so that is a huge plus. staff forgot our early morning wake up call.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice Hotel near the Metro.Budget - The Hotel is really nice.I stayed for 4 days and didn't find any problems with it.The front office staff is good especially ask for Ms Shirin and Restaurant staff is amazing with good quality food as an Indian I ate everyday in this hotel.
- Raj (4/5): Disappointed - Shower heater issue, lower water pressure. Wifi speed very poor.
- Janet (6/5): Overnight transit stay - I booked one night here on my way from New Zealand to Cape Town. The hotel offers an airport shuttle service, but actually the staff know nothing about it. Catch a red roof taxi - cheap and reliable. The room is very small, but ok for one night. Reception and restaurant staff mostly polite and helpful.
- Dennis Arun Martin (8/5): Decent budget hotel - Rooms were really small especially if you have lots of luggage. Best option for budget travelers and if you are interested in exploring the old dubai. Had lots of places to eat close by and was alai pretty close to the airport. Not recommended if you are someone who like to relax in the hotel. Expect delayed (close to an hour) check-in as we found out on arrival.
- Tony (4/5): Poor hotel but fair, given the price - OK just about, given the price, but the bath had a hole/crack in it which appeared to have been covered by something 'sqishy'! Who knows if it leaked or not, but it was an uncomfortable feeling. otherwiae it was fine and the nearest Metro was about 300m away - very convenient! The hotel is Indian - very Indian.
