- waka (8/5): - スタッフは素晴らしい対応でした。朝食も美味しかったです。ただ、全体的に設備がとても古く、床が柔らかいところがあったり、カビ臭さを消す芳香剤っぽい匂いが気になったりしました。立地は抜群ですので、総合的には満足ですが、連泊はしたくないかも。
- Fred (10/5): - Excellent location close to the Perrache train station and Vieux Lyon. Very walkable. Lots of dining options nearby. Staff at the hotel were fantastic, responsive and friendly. The reception and dining area were charming and designed to appeal. Breakfast was delicious!

- Stine Jul (8/5): - The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and bars. The beds are comfy and all in all good value for money.
- Lau (10/5): Extremely friendly service - From a quite small hotel in a great location. The building itself seems to be quite old, and the door to the room provides very little sound isolation. In the same way, the bathroom door was slightly crooked and had a doorknob that was unreasonably hard to turn for opening from the inside. Our room was facing the inner courtyard and was thus excempt from outside noise. Weirder thing is that the room is opening with a physical key, and that you have to leave the key in the lobby when exiting the hotel, very old-school. Breakfast seemed quite sparse, and therefore we didn't try it, so maybe we are wrong. The hotel is spread over two floors a without an elevator, so there is a possibility that one has to carry the luggage up a staircase.

Rommet var sletent og ganske skitten bad, litt muggaktige tendenser i dusjen og på badet. Da vi sa i fra fikk vi beskjed om at det var sånn det var i gamle bygg og at de ikke kom til å gjøre noe med det, det hadde gjerne vært kjekt å få beskjed om på forhånd.

- Claire (8/5): Bon séjour - Séjour d’une nuit dans le cadre d’un voyage d’affaires. Chambre bien entretenue, jolie décoration. Café soluble et thé très appréciable en chambre. Literie confortable. La chambre donnée sur une route très passante donc il y avait le bruit de la circulation ( tout de même atténué par le double vitrage).

Good experience but i was disappointed that: 1) i was told to bring,my car to the hotel to get instructions on parking but there was nowhere to stop at the hotel so i had to double -park which was extremely stressful and 2) i was given incorrect information about the closest grocery store
- MARTIN (10/5): - Very pleasant stay. We chose this hotel because it is close to the part of the river Rhone from which river cruises depart and return. It is across the bridge on the peninsula but it was an easy walk with our luggage. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was very good. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage for free for several hours on the day of our cruise, when we could not board until after 3pm, and we used their services on our return (for a fee) to store our bags until the evening because we had a very late flight. The hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from the nearest metro stations (either Lyon Perrache or Ampere Voctor Hugo.

The Bathroom lacks some features and amenities, but works fine. Location is right next to train station but you only hear trams on occasion (we stayed just Saturday night).

The room was charming and very comfortable, very clean and quiet. The breakfast included was perfect and made the mornings start just right. The hotel is located in a perfect area for taking advantage of great food, wonderful museums, shopping and the metro/tram is very close. - Katherine (10/5): - Staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating. I had the ground floor room, which was flush with the road and sidewalk. I was concerned that it would be very noisy, but the double windows effectively eliminated the noise, and the air conditioning unit meant that the room didn’t get stuffy with the windows closed. Lovely continental breakfast in the little ground floor nook. This isn’t the best area of town (nor is it the worst), but as it is by the train/bus station it is very convenient for those who have an early morning departure. Would recommend overall.

CONS: The pictures on-line are deceiving as areas of the hotel could use a face-lift (e.g., carpet runners are dirty, doors/walls scratched & dirty). The worse was the bathroom in our room (i.e., moldy tiles & fixtures).

Parking was tight but manageable and very safe. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- David (10/5): A clean, warm and welcoming place - Never have we felt so welcome and at-home at a hotel as at this one. Myriam and Mathilda were warm, welcoming, pleasant, helpful in many ways, from finding us a room despite our early arrival, helping us with local sightseeing and eating options, stowing away our luggage after checkout. The room was a bit tight but well laid out and very clean. The air conditioning worked very well, a great plus since our visit coincided with an intense heat wave. The place lacked an elevator, but there was only 1 story so no big deal to walk, and Myriam had whisked our heavy suitcase up the stairs before i even realized what was happening. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Perrache train and bus station, and well within walking distance to the Vieux Lyon old city and its amazing sights. Not a luxury hotel but great value for the $. Highly recommended!

- Nona (10/5): Great short stay in Lyon - I came in for one night for a personal event, and I booked this hotel for the first time. Its a lovely place, situated so nicely in central Lyon with super easy access to Metro, Tram and train station. They have done a great job in renovation, keeping the old world charm with new amenities. The staff is super friendly, speaks English very well, know the city and are very helpful. The breakfast is lovely and for a nice stay in Lyon this is a great choice hotel. The only thing is that there is no elevator so you have to carry your suitcase upstairs. But the staircase is wide and not steep.
- Adriano (6/5): Comfortable hotel for short stay - I recently stayed at Hotelo for a short visit. The staff was polite and welcoming. My room, number 17, was clean and comfortable, but I did encounter a minor issue with the shower enclosure. The door didn’t fully close due to a problem with the rubber seal, causing water to leak into the bathroom and make it a bit messy. Despite this, my overall experience was positive, and the hotel is a good option for a brief stay.

I would stay here again, but there are one or two things I would note: 1. Breakfast was ok, but didn't think was that great. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby I would recommend more highly. 2. There is no elevator. The stairs aren't too bad, but a little steep. 3. The staff were friendly, but not all the staff spoke English that well, but did try to understand. So the use of translation apps would be useful.

Brasserie Georges was recommended for dinner - 5 min walk at the most, amazing food and atmosphere, look it up. Historical place, packed and wonderful! Place Bellecour, main square was a 15 min EASY walk through a shaded park with tons of shopping and food options along the way. We are traveling with my 80 yr old a parent and 2 teen girls and never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Would LOVE to visit Lyon again…someday!

- Lynsey (10/5): Friendly staff, great spot for Xmas markets - A perfect spot for the christmas markets - 3 min walk round the corner. Easy walk to the river and across the bridge to the old town. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The rooms were very basic but comfortable. Would recommend and would stay again

- Teresa (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. While the accommodations were very simple, we enjoyed the warm welcome, and the abundance of information provided. The breakfast was perfect - fresh baked goods, and a few other options. We took the on-site parking, which we had to book ahead of time. The owner/operator kindly offered to park our car for us, and we recommend taking advantage of this service, as the parking is quite compact. We will definitely be back.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was generous with lots of variety. It's a wonderful change to meet the owners of the property and have a low key and enjoyable stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Warm reception - Personnel at the reception were all very friendly and hospitable. The room was spacious and comfortable. It’s just 3-5 minute walk to la Gare de Lyon Perrache, making it very easy to visit various part of Lyon. I went watching a movie and returned by tram around 10:30 pm; the area felt safe walking back from the station at the time.
- Susan (8/5): Good value hotel - The hotel manager was very welcoming and helpful when we asked for recommendations for places to eat. The hotel was within walking distance of all the main attractions. The air con in the rooms was most welcome as it was very hot when we were there. The rooms were comfortable, but compact. The breakfast was good. I was travelling with a group of friends and we enjoyed our stay here.We thought the hotel was very good value for money.
