- Amanda (10/5): - The Admiral’s Inn was an excellent stop in our Antiguan vacation. The property is exceptional and full of the island’s history. Other than the grounds crew getting early starts to their chores, the stay was quaint and quiet. The surrounding Nelson’s Dockyard area is awesome! Take the short hike to Fort Berkley for incredible views. We had a beautiful meal at the on site restaurant for our anniversary. Another night we walked the short distance to town for a local meal. Overall I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

- Lara (8/5): Great location but slightly dated hotel - Good points: Great location with bars and restaurants along the road. Loved being able to get the free boat to the main restaurant in the morning, and the ride to the beach. Service was fab. View from the room was lovely, perfect to watch the comings and goings of the boats. A particular highlight of my stay was a fantastic massage - well worth the extra cost. Not so good points: As is the nature of the hotel, it's all a little dated, with features needing an update. Little things in the room showed lack of attention to detail, e.g. the shower pressure was rather weak, the hairdryer didn't work (though there was a spare!) and the alarm clock was set to the wrong time and would occasionally go off. Also the WiFi was intermittent, rather annoying when the main form of communication with the reception was through WhatsApp.

The bartender Reggie offered delicious drinks and Shama the asst mgr arranged a changing room after we checked out in order to swim and have lunch while waiting for our next boat accommodations on another property a few hours later. I would stay again.
- David (10/5): - The online pictures don't do it justice to just how beautiful Admiral's Inn and Gunpowder Suites are. The buildings are late 1700's and early 1800's. It was such a cool step back in time! There are several (at least 15) places to walk to and get different foods (Italian, Carribean, Seafood and more). The best restaurant hands down was Pillars at Admiral's Inn. Lunch at Boom (Gunpowder suites pool) was good also. We stayed on the Gunpowder side for 4 nights. After two nights we asked to be moved to a pool view room. They accommodated us mid-day even though they would have to re-clean our current room. Thank you, Admiral's Inn. We will be back!

Staff in Boom restaurant, particularly Shareen were lovely however staff in Pillars blew hot and cold so tended not to eat there. Room was rustic and spacious (loft3) but lacked insulation/ sound proofing, maybe due to age of building and restrictions but able to hear next door’s conversation and everything going on outside so awoken every morning early, owner did rectify some of the outside noise once bought to his attention but surrounding noise still a problem although it is a working dockyard so came down to our choice of room which although the largest was not the best for relaxing in. Overall a lovely place, great atmosphere, would recommend.

- Elizabeth (8/5): - The harbour view superior room was very good but the windows leaked when it rained, even when closed. The staff were really great and the food at pillars restaurant excellent. We liked the proximity to the bars and restaurants around Falmouth harbour but guests should be aware this is not your typical sea and sand resort. This property is all about the historic feel, although Pigeon beach is a 15 min walk and there is a boat to take you to Galleon beach and the hotel’s small pool across the inlet.

- Jose (10/5): - This was our latest stay of many. We love the Inn. This year however we were very impacted by the noise from nearby Abracadabra until 3 am. We have complained by separate email. If possible we will now always request a room or cottage shielded from this noise until the authorities do something about it.
- Nadia (10/5): Beautiful setting - Beautiful setting for our week in Antigua. We stayed across the water in the Gunpowder Suites. Loved taking the boat back and forth for breakfast/dinners. Enjoyed being by the pool and Pillars restaurant for lunch. Only minor "complaint" was that service tended to be on "island time" (i.e. quite slow.) Other than that, really enjoyed our stay.
- Deanna (6/5): - When we arrived at the property there was no one at the desk so we had to go down to the restaurant Boom near the reception to ask to check in. We were checked in and weren’t given our voucher for the Wifi we had to ask for it. Nor was the welcome drink offered we had to ask for it. The room was very clean and nicely decorated for Valentine’s Day however there was oddly no TV in the room. There were no robes as advertised in the booking. The staff were all very nice however and the rooms were clean and well taken care of. The breakfast ends at 10 AM so we got lucky showing up at 9:50 Am For then to still serve us breakfast. We had an OK time. I just recommend anyone staying here should wait for a good deal or stay at another hotel worth the price.

The property is divided into two parts, separated by water; they have a water taxi shuttle that goes back & forth very frequently. The property is on the grounds of Nelson's Dockyard, so you're in the middle of an historical site. Really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed in the loft and it was worth the extra to have the lovely sitting room that opened up right int the harbor. Highly recommend this place. And be sure to grab a table in front of the sea near the kitchen where you can watch the fish and sting rays hunt!

Great vibe and live music at Admirals Inn where you can also stay and where check in happens. Great complimentary boat and or car service (if after 7pm) over to Gunpowder house which is more secluded than Admirals. Lots of bars & restaurants nearby in walking distance, and right next to Nelson’s dockyard. Because you’re in the harbour this isn’t a great place for ocean swimming access although it’s likely easy to find a beach nearby with a car. We stayed for one night to end our trip but a few more would have been lovely.

It's a different feel from the glam hotels and a welcoming rustic feel, with a few modern touches. Loved my stay.

The take aways: my 'king' bed was 2 twins pushed together, as I was traveling alone it wasnt too much an issue and the wi-fi at the admiral side where I stayed, in the back of the room was very spotty or nonexistant, maybe bc its a thick stone building? But I would reccommend this place to others and would stay there again!

We got escorted to our rooms, we had breakfast right away, and relaxed by an amazing infinity pool. The food we had was great, fresh, and organic. They really captured the island life and we had an amazing stay!

- Lukshmi (8/5): Great location - Beautiful historic building, some really friendly and some not so friendly staff. Great food for NYE dinner. Nice area, and the boat shuttle is actually very convenient and the drivers were very friendly. However apparently you’re not allowed to use any facilities after checkout, the beach on site isn’t really one- it’s a boat trip from the main building to the small pool, or the better beach. Very expensive; comparatively poorer value for money even for Antigua.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pros: The location staying at Nelson's Dockyard was amazing. The history and architecture of the surrounding buildings was nice to see. Unfortunately due to covid most dockyard things were either closed or felt underwhelming, but that is no fault of Admiral's. They offer a free water taxi shuttle across the bay to Gunpowder Suites, which has the more lively bar scene and also the only pool. Free parking, strong wifi signal, hot shower, great iron were all a plus. The room is as it looks in photos so it was quaint and does have a beautiful harbor view. Cons: I stayed in the standard room, which is the smallest of all rooms and is located on the top floor (or otherwise known as the 3rd floor/attic). There is no elevator so individuals who have issues with stairs should not select this room. The room is listed as 160sq ft, and definitely feels extremely tiny. Part of the room is unusable due to the third floor roof trusses slanting inward preventing you from stand up in a portion of the room. The room is listed as sleeping two, but i would certainly not recommend this room for two people unless all you are going to do is sleep in the bed. The restroom only fits one person and does have the largest lip (i.e., riser to step into the shower i ever saw). The riser Unfortunately cuts the standing height of the shower so individuals who are tall such as 6 feet and above will feel claustrophobic in the shower. The room had no TV, refrigerator, or safe :(

Breakfast is 15usd and includes a dish, coffee/tea, and a juice. When I asked for a cappuchino and then an americano (and no juice) I did not expect to be charged extra.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Shame about the room, otherwise stunning. - The facilities around Admirals Inn are amazing and one of the most beautiful places we have stayed at. However, the room we stayed in was very small, not helped by the sloping roof which meant to reach the other side of the bed you had to crouch. The bathroom was also tiny and made it hard for two people to coexist. We also found a lot of hair in our shower from the previous tenants which is never acceptable. There are other rooms available and these do look much nicer, however for the amount per night charged you would expect 5 star facilities anywhere in the world. The restaurant and pool, which are 5 star facilities, are accessible by the general public so our review has to be entirely based on the hotel room. Staff overall was very friendly.

My cousin Susan joined us after crossing the Atkantic in Poppy - Status Row. We all loved the tasteful decour and historical significance and outlook. Beautifully renovated hotel.

Nelson’s Dockyard is a special historical spot and the Admirals Inn sits elegantly in the Dockyard The views from my room was stunning and the professionalism, charm and courtesy of the staff made my stay ready enjoyable. I would single out Emma who was Acting Manager during my stay. Everything was dealt with calmly and efficiently - Dortha dole a bit sticky - and she was a delight to meet. I will definitely stay at Admirals Inn again
- Beth (8/5): Historic hotel in a great location - I stayed at the Gunpowder Suites for 3 nights, which had a lovely view overlooking English Harbor. The staff at the hotel were great - Cecil was very kind and went the extra mile to help with whatever was needed. Kemlin and Linda were also great to help book local activities. I would only caution who the hotel works with when booking certain activities. For instance, do not book Sean from Soul Immersions diving. I booked him through the hotel and he confirmed, but on the day of the dive, he never showed up and didnt bother to call or tell me in person that he was cancelling the dive. Luckily, Linda was great and helped me book Tony from Dockyard Divers that very day. Additionally, they arranged a taxi with Oris to take me to the airport. After 15 minutes of waiting for Oris to show up, I had to switch to another taxi, because I couldnt wait any longer. Oris had driven me the day before to Stingray City, but he was also 20 minutes later picking me up after our arranged pick up time. I would caution the hotel to be careful who they do business with, as it lowers the overall impression of the hotel and enjoyment of the guest.
