Guest Reviews
- Patricia (10/5): - Family run. Friendly. Recent updates. Not fancy but suited our group of travelers snd dogs perfectly. Breakfast is delicious Rooms are large, water pressure is great. Beds are comfortable. Location is ideal in the area.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - customer service was terrible i request a room and when i arrived they change it to charge more
- Fernando (8/5): affordable - Nice place to stay in Valle
- John (10/5): Friendly, Safe, Clean - Incredible staff. Family run and go the extra mile for Customerservice. Terrific breakfast and conveniently located.
- Penny (4/5): No longer the peaceful place we enjoyed - We have stayed here for a few years and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and nice accommodations. It has changed over the year and not for the better. There is now a gym that is open to the public. The equipment is loud and the music louder. Requested that it be turned down when we tried to sit out on the porch. One day it started at 7am until after 10 pm. So disappointing and it will be our last stay there. The manager was not around to assist with any questions or help.
- Jorge (8/5): - I like the peacefull and restfull. The main doors of the rooms need some attention.
- Don (8/5): - Quiet - off the main highway. Grounds and pool would be good for relaxing in warmer weather.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A quiet place, close to Ensenada and wine country, yet desolated. Easy to get to. I am staying there often when I come to Ensenada.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly staff - This hotel is small and very basic, if you are looking for luxury this is not for you. Bernardo the hotel owner is a very pleasant person and went out of his way to accommodate us. Friendly staff, will return again❣️
Pictures are from two years ago?
- Lily J. (10/5): Superb deal in Valle - Lovely place; the room was dark due to the paint on the walls but the windows and nice balcony with table and chairs easily made up for it.
The sheets on the bed were amazing...
- Laura (10/5): - Everyone was really nice and cordial. We had a great experience
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Like, ubication, restful sleep. The new way to connect the hotel with winnerys. Dislike, stay to short.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Rooms clean and comfortable , staff very nice and accommodate you
- Rafael (10/5): Amazing get away - The hotel is a small hotel, but very clean and kept up. Amazing little hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stay in this hotel on a regular basis. Normally, it is very quiet there.
- Penny (8/5): Baja wine country - This was the third stay and have enjoyed each time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Second time staying at this hotel, and it is a great place for the Valle.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The facility is very clean, clean towels, bottled water, small fridge, they even had a heater in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was clean and so peaceful, the stuff was friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room very purple. Toilet had what looked like dirty mop water in it. Sink did not drain. Refrigerator was not very cold.
Room is quiet and dark for sleeping which is what we wanted. Didn’t use shower.
- Aimee (10/5): Amazing Hotel - Absolutely amazing hotel with such a beautiful view! We loved it so much we plan on coming back in the near future!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Under the sink in the bathroom it was dirty as they did not run the rag. everything else well
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and especially helpful. The flannel sheets on a cold night felt wonderful.,
- Matt (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Meson del Vino.
Centrally located in prime wine country, this is definitely a first check for availability when I come back to the area.
Inexpensive rooms, with a little private balcony. We didn't eat food from the location as we were going to more well known places.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely brush up on your spanish, as there was almost no english speakers that we encountered (Which is 100% fine - we are in a spanish speaking country right?)
One note - the hotel is definitely off of the paved road. So be prepared for that dirt road journey (its about 1/2 a mile on dirt)
- PastorDavid (10/5): - A qUirt and comfortable room with air conditioning, refrigerator, and balcony view of patio garden and pool was a welcome treat after a day touring the wineries. Restaurant did not open until 8 am, so we went to OXXO in town for our morning coffee fix. This hotel is a great value. We will come back on our next trip to the Valley of Guadalupe.
- Annel (10/5): - Amazing place beautiful super clean rooms good a/c.
- Reema (10/5): - not too far down a dirt road. clean comfortable air conditioned hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - In the middle of no where
Nice rustic hotel nice pool
But beware google maps are unreliable phoning the hotel was impossible. The road signs are small. Down a dirt road
Orbit price 72. Trip advisor 32
So we got a bad deal
- J (10/5): - Magical Hotel! The staff attentive and they know where to send you for wine tasting! Overall a great experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love this Hotel stayed here many times now.
Clean, comfortable rooms
- Alexey (8/5): - Very quiet; close to wine country. Also, very safe, the staff is friendly
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I don’t know if the man could not speak much English but he appeared pretty unhappy and was not very helpful
- Gordon (10/5): very nice - Very nice Hotel, located in a perfect spot for the Wineries, just need GPS to find it.
- Cynthia (8/5): I would stay here again. - Check in was easy. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. Our only complaints were that the sink drained slowly (should be an easy fix), and the barking dogs in the early morning. Bring ear plugs and I'm sure that you will enjoy your stay. Lastly, the internet wasn't working.
- michael (8/5): Clean and extremely affordable. - Great value for the price in Valle De Guadalupe.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not quiet - Nice hotel and pool but loud. Dogs barking in the morning. Road noise.
- Miguel (8/5): day trip! - it was very relaxing!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable basics - Nice clean room with balcony. Paper thin walls. Good location. Might be loud in busy season because...paper thin walls. Good for the price.
- robert (10/5): In the heart of wine country - Love this place! Always a great stay. Right in the heart of wine country.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cabin was a pleasant surprise. - Went to dinner at a very nice restaurant of a world renown chef from baja thst was close by and it was superb!!!!!!
- Ana (10/5): Excellent - Nice place to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quite Getaway - Hotel is off the main road so could be a little difficult to find but overall in a safe area near a lot of vineyards . Stay was pleasant, great for a quiet getaway just to relax.
- Alexey (8/5): Nice hotel in Guadalupe Valley - Rustic, desolated, very clean, affordable. Close to many wineries
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice to relax - nice, quite, clean, friendly people and good price for the price.
- Norma (8/5): - Beautiful back pacefull place! We spend just one night But want back again.
- Owen (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway - We stayed here for one night and it was great. Comfy and clean room with a great view of the little pool. Even though the hotel was full we didn't see anyone else making it feel really peaceful and relaxing. Great proximity to a bunch of wonderful wineries too. We took our dog who loved it too!!
We had planned on using their BBQ to grill dinner which we did, But had hoped to grab a glass of vino after at the restaurant. The restaurant never open the night we stayed so it was a good thing we decided to BBQ or else we may have been our of luck!
In the morning we had a great breakfast at the restaurant and took a little walk around the area, great scenery!!
All in all its a great little place, family friendly, dog friendly and we will definitely be going back!
- Julian (8/5): Relax Time - It was our 1st time on the Wine Tasting Route & everything was close by. We enjoyed that it was quiet & relaxing
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable close to wineries. - We only spend one night. It is comfortable. Unfortunately there was no hot water to take a shower. The owner check and said the heater was in pilot and didn't go on. Other than that it is nice, rustic and the staff very friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location for the price! - Friendly staff. Clean and spacious room. Cafe on property, fresh food !
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good for price. - Clean, tv in spanish only and not much to choose from. for price I wish room had a coffee maker. Had the cabana and it was roomy and very clean which is really what I was after. Beds were fine , not to bad and not great. this was the second time we have stayed there and we will again as we need it for sleeping only.
- Erin (8/5): Great for the price. - For the price and location it was great. The only down side is that it is noisy because of the dogs and closeness to the road. There are dogs everywhere down there so I just tried to think of it as part of the charm......
- Danny (10/5): Hidden ranch - Nice little place.
- Jorge (8/5): Quick rest and comfort - Quick Rest and comfort.
- Jose (10/5): Great hotel in Guadaloupe - Planned a trip for my wife and I to Guadaloupe and found this small but great hotel. It was a little hard to find but once there the hotel manager Omar provided great customer service and a great experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): NICE PLACE - CLOSE BY TO LOTS OF WINERYES ,GOOD LOCATION, GOOD PRICES ,CLOSE BY TO THE MAIN ROAD
- Arthur (10/5): - Great Restaurants near by.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice hotel - Booked, a room stating accommodates 4 adults and up to tree children, we were 4 adults and one child. They said we have to charge extra because room is for 4 adults only, if you want child to stay???? Huh???
(Let me send him back) you have to pay more.
They have not charged more yet but still looking at my card to see if they do.
- Edward (6/5): Great on budget. - A little hard to find but enjoyed going down side roads just looking for it. Small red sign on main road for hotel. If heading west its on the right side. Very quite and not enough light at night. no night life at this hotel, just sleep which is what we were looking for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): My stay - No Wi-Fi. It was advertised as having it. The "gym/fitness center" was some rusty dumbbells and a spinning bike with a pull up/dip machine under some shelter. Staff was curtious and helpful. Originally, we were supposed to have a room but they were full and got upgraded to the cabin. Definitely a good overall stay.
- Robert (10/5): Great little place in the heart of wine country - This is a nice little hotel, quiet with great view. less than a 1/4 mile off the main highway.
- *_* (6/5): Good price for Valle de Guadalupe - Clean and quaint, beautiful views across the vineyards.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very out of the way hotel in wine country. Impossible to find at night. No telephone or services at night if a problem should arise.
- jose l (8/5): good for relaxing - great for the cost ,needed to relax and rest
- Adolfo (8/5): Very pace full with nice views of the hills - Exactly what we're expecting
Relax time
We didn't try the restaurant
- Verified traveler (8/5): close to many wineries - The room was large and clean. A nice quiet place. Close proximity to many wineries. The staff was very polite and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very small and affordable - Last minute room needed. Got it for a very affordable rate. Off main hwy on dirt road. Cozy and peaceful. We liked it.
- Kristen (8/5): Quick stay but clean & Nice! - It was a quick stay so we had no interaction with the hotel staff. The rooms were comfortable, very clean, and awesome water pressure with very hot water for the shower. We will definitely return to stay longer and enjoy the pool (which was empty during winter months). We just happened to get a very warm weekend during our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice quiet hotel in the heart of the Valle. - We were the only guests for the week before Xmas and it was as we wanted it, peaceful and quiet.
- Greg (6/5): Decent overnight hotel in the valley. - Good staff, decent room, close to wineries and easy access. The only reason for average rating is the bathroom needs a lot of work. Has a really bad smell due to no air circulation in the bathroom. Otherwise the room and property is adequate.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice and clean - The room was simple, spacious, nicely decorated and clean. We stayed on a very cold night but the room had a portable heater and kept the room warm. This is only a place to shower and sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great cozy hotel, perfect for Valle de Guadalupe! - Great clean cozy hotel in the Valle de Guadalupe, really close to most vineyards ! good restaurant for breakfast!
- Martin (6/5): - There was no wifi on the property. Kind of an issue when you need to check in with family in the U.S. The Beds were not the most comfortable and made a lot of noise. There are loose dogs on the property that bark at you. Also, we checked in at 2:00pm and then went wine tasting. When we returned at 8:00 pm the entire property was dark. There was no staff around and the pool was dark( and not all that clean to begin with). Bring bug spray! Some windows had no screens, even with the windows closed we were bit by a lot of Mosquitos. There were also spiders and earwigs aplenty. It's very rural, so anticipate that.
- Danny (8/5): Nice, little botique hotel off the beaten road - Nice, little botique hotel off the beaten road. Its nothing extravagant but it has a homey feel. I enjoyed my stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - very good and confortable for the price, nice views of the valley.
- VICTOR H (4/5): Decent hotel for the money's. TERRIBLE SERVICE! - The area where it is located is excellent, nice views, quiet, etc. The rooms are decent size and decently decorated. The value I guess is fare, but they are not as clean as desired, I think that is the first con. Bed mattress are extremely uncomfortable, second one. And last and worst of all, the concierge service and attitude is terrible. I had to look for them every time I needed assistance. Check in was odd, he only gave me the keys and nothing else, I had to ask him every follow up question, starting from "Where is the room??". Worst service ever.
