• Nazri (10/5): Exceptional - 3rd time stayed in Swiss-Garden Residence (3 different units) because value for money with mini water park. If no washing machine no problem there is Dobi shop just 1 minute from here.

The instructions was very clear and didn't get lost searching for the parking.😊 The TV had some issues. Told the host and they immediately change a new TV. Good Speedy Unifi was provided with Netflix. Everything there was new. And smells good. Even couples can have romantic candle light dinner cause they prepare everything. And my child love the swimming pool so much as they have water slides and the pool was quite big. Partial view of the beach where you can enjoy your coffee with the beautiful view. There are many restaurants surround the homestay. So, you don't have to drive very far. And walking distance to the beach. The car park is same floor with the homestay. So elderly ones don't need to walk far. Overall, love the homestay and will recommend it to my family and friends ❤️
• Khairil (7/5): Good for family.. very much fun - 1) The location - near kuantan and lot choices of food nearby 2) Facilities - Pool are great, and easily access to beach 3) Parking - Same level with unit.. so easy to carry bag 1) Cleanliness - Unit is clean, but smell like not being stayed quite sometimes.. need to open balcony door to keep air circulated.. 2) It will much better if the host could provide wifi.. because network is not too stable here

The room so comfortable n large for family with 4 person stayed...i like the room..the refrigerator also huge... I think i will come again to swiss garden residence for next holidays...

• Verified traveler (2/5): Not worth it. Filthy water park. - I personally wouldn’t come here again. I went there as the mini theme park looks amazing in the picture. But the pool actually very poorly maintained. It was dirty even in the morning. You can see and feel all the black moss floating around esp in the kids pool. Super disgusting. There are some pool tiles that already broken, and the surface was slimy like they have not clean it since they first build it. Breakfast is another story. I paid the room with breakfast but ended up walking across the street instead. Immediately after opening the breakfast lounge door, the smell of dirty kitchen piercing my nose. We were the 1st to arrive as the girl there still setting the buffet up. No greeting, no smile, poor service. The turkey ham were yellowish in color and the counter top, where the juices sits was slimey with leftover juice from last night I think. The smell in the restaurant itself just kills my appetite totally. So we left. I am glad I didn’t stay over 1 night. It was unbearable. Room was small with 2 bar wifi connection. Please do not over advertise the room by saying “Premier Family Suites”. Nothing premier about the room and it is definitely not a suite. Please change the room category to just 2 bedroom apartment. Overall the hotel is just filthy. Poorly maintained, poor service and this is the 1st hotel that I regretted staying this year.

• Siew Fai (6/5): Swiss Garden that don't have a Swiss Garden Std - We arrived at night. The entrance had nine light but only 2 working. No body stand at the entrance. The hotel look like not in operation. Nobody assist us on unloading luggage. We were issue a room on low floor, no sea view, with people smoking on the corridor. The sofa was dirty with stain. I paid Rm500++ per night I expected a Swiss Garden Std that I use to in KL but this is a big disappointment.
• Mike (6/5): Nice place, but beach couldn't be used. - The beach had no facilities and signs telling people to stay out of the sea, due to jellyfish. This information is not easily available before booking, but seems to affect the whole coast every summer. The hotel was pleasant, but had no tourist information.
• Doctor (6/5): Expensive but just ok residence resort. - Ok but price is very high for such a modest resort. No direct access to beach. No water sport or entertainment facilities available. Corridors are not properly finished. Breakfast is very limited and of average or below average quality with flies roaming around. Water park is nice but small and mainly entertaining for small kids. Sauna is oddly located in toilets! Good car parking facility.
• AKJ (4/5): Same conclusion like many other reviews - The only positive thing is the mini waterpark, where kids can have some fun. But without enforcement of proper swimming attire really spoilt the fun because water becomes murky and unhygienic. The beach is forgettable, the breakfast is too basic and the coffee/tea is just plain bad.

• SIOW HIA (8/5): Allow access to the beach from the pool area - Everything was ok except for that we have to walk a big circle to get to the beach when they can easily open the gate from the pool area to the beach. The front office staff said they could not open it due to security reasons. Anyhow, logically, if we could access the beach by walking around the perimeter fence, so can other unwanted visitors!!!!

Apartment service should have little kitchen utilities at least basic . Breakfast for terrible food are not worth it , spoon and fork are not properly clean .

They declare to have room service also, I tried numerous times having to wait 20 minutes and still no answer on the phone from room service. In all not a very good experience for someone wanting to visit the east coast of Malaysia

• Coach (6/5): Short retreat - The apartments are well appointed. We were in a two room apartment, with a good size two door fridge. There was also a micro wave oven, which would work wonders for holidays. The breakfast spread was not wide, ha ha, but it was accommodating, there were generous plates of beef salamis replenished. You have to catch the beach early in the morning or all the way to sun down. Hardly any other activity at the beach. Make your own fun. But the swimming pool facilities were awesome. They have separate pools, with a giant pail water fall on one side, and two medium size slides (manned) on another. More that enough to keep the younger ones happy. Outside the residence was the 7 Eleven, which means - easy snack. Yup, would come back again.
• Verified traveler (6/5): New hotel - This is a new residence at this area and the facilities and the room are new compared to its nearby sister company. I chose this hotel as Hotels.com listed kitchenette as one of the room facilities. Unfortunately, this is not the case. It has microwave and a big fridge. I'm still ok when i saw no induction cook (which by right is normal for hotel with kitchenette), but not even a single bowl or spoon or fork provided in the room. When I called the reception, he said it was not provided. This is quite misleading. Hence, the facilities list should be updated. Others, the place is very quite (perhaps it is a weekdays).
• Stella (6/5): hotel with private beach but disappointing service - the hotel itself is quite new and clean. the facilities such as gym, sauna and mini water park is pleasing and enjoyable. The only down part is the service from the staff. staffs appear to be lazy and unwilling to help you during your stay. no one greet you when you enter the hotel. staff would cut you out when you talk just to give simplest and laziest answer possible. in the night I called operator but nobody pick up. I went down to found the front desk staff sleeping. Even when i press the bell he didn't wake up until few minutes of ringing the bell. I asked for extra blanket and glass and they said they don't have. As a hospitality person I never encounter a hotel that has no extra blanket and glass for its guest. It's just disappointing that I experienced such low service quality from a hotel that is reviewed as 4 stars. To me it's more like 2.5stars overall. Breakfast sucks. very few selections even when they say they have buffet breakfast, as they only serve nasi lemak, few pastries and bread, cereal, porridge and 1 type of juice. First time as well I saw a hotel that didn't even have omelette or scrambled egg on their breakfast. I don't think that I have given quality of service that worth the room rates. A low season with few guests doesn't mean you can be lazy and do whatever you think is the easiest way. However, I'm very pleased with service offered by one of concierge staff (bald hair, i didn't know his name) to give me options when i asked where to dine around

• Shamsiah (4/5): Service Like a 2 Star Hotel - Frustrated. 1st when we checked in, the counter service staff told that we have not paid the room charges yet although we've paid 2 weeks earlier.Later,the service manager let us in after getting comformation which took about 15 minutes of waiting time.We had never experienced this after many times made hotel booking thru Hotel.com. The rooms are quite small but we have no issue on that.We requested for change of bed sheets/duvet because all three had stains and we're not comfortable with it. Talked to the reception and also house keeping staff but they cannot help since they don't have extra. Noise - can be heard when people walking, when your neighbour pull the chair, feel like you're staying at 2 star hotel. We've been to other Swiss Garden hotels before but this one was different. Swimming pool/water park look big in the picture but in actual not so...The kids enjoy the pool but not for adult swimmer.
