Guest Reviews
- Marco (10/5): - The property is clean and very well maintained, I was allowed to check in early great since I drove in from out of town. The entire room was very clean including the bathroom. It is a great place to stop and rest.
- Richard A (10/5): Bang for the buck - Surprisingly clean.. great room
- Andrew (4/5): - I want to root for this place as it's an island of reasonable pricing in a weird blip of over-priced accomodations, but the ceiling fan was constantly whirring and clanking its chain as it wobbled below its exposed wires, the AC almost drowned out the clearly audible highway traffic, and there was no water resistant curtain in the shower to keep from splashing water to the floor. Took a few minutes for hot water to reach the shower too.
On the bright side the room was surprisingly spacious and I felt it was respectably clean aside from the ick I wiped up along the tub edge as I cleaned up the water that splashed to the bathroom floor during my shower.
I really wished I had brought my tools and tape measure to fix the place up for them as it wouldn't require much time or effort to make significant improvements like balancing the ceiling fan.
- michael (10/5): - Convenience
- karen (10/5): - All around it was good
- Mayra (2/5): - First they charged me twice. Then the doors do not close right. When talking to the person for over charge they had to use a translator and still had a hard time communicating. I’m out $200 for a crappy room.
- Cesar (4/5): - Needs upgrading & no roaches
- Rhonda (6/5): - It was okay. Just somewhere to sleep for the night.
- Sergio (2/5): - Trash. Dirty.
- Luci (10/5): Excellent accommodations - Was really grateful that I was able to find a hotel during the hurricane that had Wi-Fi and had an opening available. I was able to get there late at night and they made an exception for me to come in after midnight. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Water was hot for a good showers, it was quiet and they had super fast internet so that I was able to work. This is a humble, yet rooms wete extra large with bright lighting. I was perfectly safe as a solo female traveler.
- Ora (4/5): - Mice dropping in bed and on pillow bugs come in under front door roaches in room mold in bathroom they did give me another room it was a little better no mice but still roaches and bugs.
- Adrianna (6/5): - This is a reasonably priced hotel and the conditions are fine for the amount you are paying.
- Louis (6/5): no honor between Hotel.com and motel owner. - Very small facility.. tight squeezd bathroom. Good selection of television channels. No hotel laundry mat. Can only do business through window. I reserved and paid online for $155.60, but instead I paid $330 at the window.??
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pleased - Will stay again
- Susana Hernandez (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeper was nice and happy to resupply items also made us feel welcomed. On all my travels this was the best motel I’ve ever stayed at. Would definitely recommend this place especially if your traveling.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Modest motel room, but clean and a fair price. Just fine for basic accomodations for the night. No coffee in the room or breakfast buffet, but 35 to 70 bucks cheaper than the motels across the highway that offer those amenities. Convenient to dining, HEB grocery store and WalMart. Good bang for your buck.
- Norma (10/5): Photos need updating - Motel appears to have been upgraded and modernized. The dirty, leaking swimming pool has been converted to a basketball court, so don't bring a bikini, just a b ball. I was disappointed that interactions were conducted through a partially open window. That limited facilities like breakfast (not available). Not as advertised! But a very pleasant night's stay.
- Douglas (10/5): Satisfied Customer - My room was clean and my bed was soft so what more could I really ask for I am satisfied overall.
- Kay (10/5): Fabulous Time - We went for our son's wedding who got married at the Gazebo at the Court House by a judge. Beautiful wedding and like 5 minutes from the Court House. Pizza Hut right next door and Valero all within walking distance. No noise from the highway, and no problems with construction. We even had a ceiling fan in our room which never happens, and he loaned us his personal iron. Great Place To Stay did miss the coffee pot in the room or being available, but I purchased some at the Valero.
- James (6/5): Too long too loud - Neighbors loved late night tv viewing until dawn
- Noelle M. (8/5): - Great space for a quick multi day stay!
- Joey (6/5): Odor? - Room smelled funny
- CG (2/5): - Hard to get to. Lot of construction and you have to find your way around. Roads are rough due to construction so you have to be careful.
- Minerva V (10/5): - Staff was accommodating and good customer service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Looked kinda meh from the outside but the room was super clean and smelled well
- Joey (8/5): Great room, poor wifi - Much nicer than I expected - very pleased with the room.
The free wifi was unusable. Extremely poor. Took hours to send a single email.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Stay away! Drug, hooker and roach infested. Be ready to catch an std sleeping on their beds
- Lisa (10/5): - Good ac, reasonable price, good location
- angelica (2/5): - hookers everywhere
- Verified traveler (4/5): - A/C did not work. Television did not work. WiFi did not work
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathtub looked dirty and there was no drain stopper to run a bath.
- Hilario (6/5): - It was last minute andi usually stat at the Bastrop Inn cause its cheaper but this Hotel is a lot more enjoyable
- Sandra (6/5): - It was good for the price. Its was a little run down outside and dark at night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Was perfect for our needs. Beds were comfortable and the room very clean
- B (8/5): - The pool was out of service, which was disappointing. The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, even though on a busy highway. Definitely would stay again.
- Luther (8/5): Good Stay - Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Beds were more comfortable than more expensive chains.
- Jennifer (8/5): Good - After driving 7hours check in was easy, pool was refreshing, liked the hardwood floors...for the price you get what you pay for it's comfy and it's good saving money on vacation 👍
- James (2/5): - Roaches in the room. Dead bolt was broken like someone had kicked the door in.
- Daphen (2/5): No recommendations from me! - This place had a lot of repair issues and hazardous ceiling fan and bathtub!
- Joe M (10/5): - Great value. Nice and clean. Quiet. Close to everything I needed 👍
- Julie (8/5): Helping a friend - Clean rooms, but needs to be updated. Pool was excellent and walkable to local shopping. Price was fair for the week.
- Becky (8/5): Clean and comfortable - This is a good place for an overnight stay. The girl in the front was very helpful and friendly. It's not fancy, but we didn't need fancy we just needed a clean bed and we got that. The ceiling fan and the light with it didn't work and she didn't have anyone available to work on it, that's really the only knock I can give it. Not meant to be a 5 star luxury suite, but when you need to spend the night in Bastrop, Texas, it ok.
- Ruben (10/5): Just as Advertised!! - I was a bit skeptical about staying at this place, it was one of two available at the time and I decided to go based on the reviews I read. I was completely satisfied and was very happy with the cleanliness of my room. I would not hesitate to stay there in the future.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Pool was closed and broke...told needed chemicals but you could tell that bottom of pool was broke
- Russell (10/5): - Clean and well kept property. Door deadbolt didn't work and security latch was partially missing. Toilet was a rocker. Enjoyed my stay, convenient location and fair price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Arriving at night, I was slightly intimidated by the area. Seeing it in morning hours, I wasn’t as concerned. The room was exceptionally clean. Area seemed quiet. Very close to several restaurants. Interstate was easily accessible. It is a budget hotel. Do not expect a lot of frills, but it was nice for the price.
- stan (10/5): INEXPENSIVE CLEAN MOTEL OPTIMIZED FOR PRICE - rooms comfortable and price 1/2 to 1/4 of other hotel stays close. saved 150 dollars a day to spend on my children they each loved 20 dollars a day. Rooms clean. breakfast available juices, energy bars, and cereal with mild. Indian food also. No cooked breakfast but plenty (breakfast closes at 9am). requested extra towels, soap and shampoo packets delivered immediately. Room cleaned daily and very good service and adjustment. Only had a picture of my Drivers licence and they took the information and proceeded (normally not acceptable). Overall great service and the savings 100 dollars a night up to 150 was well worth the small motel status. Also had clean nice pool but too cold to swim. Well WORTH the price and service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean. The stay was better than expected. The walls are thin so road noise and parking lot noise are easily heard, but it didn't bother us much. Just noticeable.
- jamie (6/5): Good budget motel - Not bad for the price, I would stay there again
- jamie (6/5): Nice little place - If you are wanting to save money this is a nice no frills option
- Beardly (6/5): - Check in was okay. Had to go to a night window that had a raised platform. Stepping away I nearly face planted but managed to only tweak my ankle. The room is spacious enough but for some reason the bed was close to the back wall so one side did not have any power access. Everything looked clean (though the ac could use a bit more attention). The parking lot near the higher rooms is full of pot holes that I would drive around if possible. Not bad for a last minute stop but they could adjust/fix a few things
