• Malon (8/5): - Vriendelijk personeel, elke dag schone handdoeken. Het blijft midden in een stad dus het is redelijk smal allemaal maar voor het overnachten om Parijs te ontdekken heb je niet meer nodig!

• Ian (4/5): - I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a stay of more than one night , rooms and bathrooms are tiny and you can hear everything going on in the hotel. The lift is so small you can just get in with a suit case, no air-con in the room and the fact you have to leave your room key every time you check out is odd . First day checking in and the guy on reception just had a bad attitude thankfully the rest of the staff were great. The area around the hotel is a mixed bag very noisy but some nice little cafe bars about . It’s close to the metro line which is handy. All I would say is do your research before booking this hotel

• Joseph (4/5): Good/bad hotel. - Positive Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and convenient to get to all the sights, Negatives, Very small rooms, very dated and the noise was dreadful, There was building work going on and it was non stop we should of been informed of this prior to going, the walls are so thin we was woken Everytime someone used the bathroom in adjacent rooms and people slamming doors or talking in the corridor’s had very little sleep, you could not go back to your room to relax after sightseeing all day as TV only in french and would be nice if they had coffee and tea making facilities in the room. I would only use this hotel as a base if your just planning on sleeping there (if you can get any sleep) otherwise try other hotels,
• Myra (10/5): A few days - Friendly and efficient check -in. Room was small but spotless and served our needs. Location was excellent with lots of restaurants and cafes around.
• Lelieur (8/5): Hôtel sympathique - Hotel sympathique et bien placé. Chambre agréable et lumineuse. Accueil pro et souriant. Petits points négatifs : obligation de claquer la porte de la chambre pour la fermer ( en pleine nuit, c'est très bruyant ) et l'insonorisation est moyenne ( on entend pas mal ce qui se passe dans la chambre voisine ).

• Elizabeth (8/5): Nice but noisy location - Clean, modest hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Reservation was booked for 2 but I ended up traveling solo which was fortuitous because the room was quite cramped. Convenient location near the metro but my first floor faced the street and was noisy with pedestrians and activity into the wee hours of the night and with a large construction site across the street from the early hours of the morning. I recommend a good pair of earplugs to mitigate the noise.
• Anne (8/5): - Had a great stay! The location and reception-service is excellent. The elevator was not working, but that didn’t bother us much. The room had everything we needed for the perfect getaway. There’s a lot of great restaurants nearby. Would recommend Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, right next to the hotel, for drinks, a night snack and a great time, and if you want croissants; Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Terroirs d'Avenir is the right place. Just a short walk from the hotel. Will probably come back

• Armelle (8/5): Séjour d'une nuit - Hôtel très bien situé, avec plusieurs lignes de métro à proximité. Chambre propre, nécessaire de toilette à disposition, sèche cheveux, gel douche... Salle de bain de taille correcte et propre. Personnel aimable, service gratuit de consigne à l'accueil, petit ascenseur mais apprécié pour les étages. Chambre malheureusement donnant sur la rue (toujours en travaux depuis 2 ans) donc bruyante, hôtel parisien qui mériterait un rafraîchissement, les portes lourdes doivent être claquées pour fermer , la moquette du 5ème étage a plein de tâches, on entend les chasses d'eau des voisins... Cependant pour un court séjour l'emplacement est idéal et la literie confortable, ce qui est important à souligner.

• Rahhali (10/5): - So to began with the room service is excellent and impressive and about breakfast it was a variety of food such bread. About the employers, they were friendly and they communicate with Arabic very well, but they used to avoid to talk with it . About transportation and historical monuments they are all close to us ( near).It was one minor problem but they have nothing to do with. To sum up, it's a very pleasant and beautiful hotel and I really recommend to stay in it .

Las paredes son de pladur y se oye todo, todo, del resto de clientes, metro, calle... La habitación es muy pequeña y la ducha de lo peor. Una persona algo grande ya no se podría duchar. Cortinas en las habitaciones por donde entra toda la luz, en lugar de persianas. El desayuno buffet está bien. Hay dos paradas de metro muy cerca, lo que facilita la comunicación a los lugares visitables y se puede ir andando hasta Le Marais y la Illa da cité.

• Joseph (8/5): Bien dans l'ensemble - Le personnel très accueillant, souriant et à l'écoute. Le petit déjeuner buffet est très appréciable à bon prix ; beaucoup de choix et produits frais. La chambre est petite et mériterait un peu de rafraîchissement, notamment la salle de bain. La literie est confortable. Les portes des chambres doivent être claquées pour une bonne fermeture ce qui engendre du bruit pour les voisins des autres chambres. L'isolation phonique n'est pas optimale. La propreté quotidienne est très bonne ce qui est essentiel. Le rapport qualité prix reste moyen, mais c'est Paris et l'emplacement est très bon avec le métro à deux pas et un quartier très vivant. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour malgré les quelques points négatifs.

• Stephen (10/5): - The hotel is in an energetic neighbourhood with lots of international restaurants, entertainment and evening establishments especially on a Friday or Saturday night. The hotel entrance is on a quiet side street, although at this time there is construction on a large commercial site right across the street. That did not impact our stay in anyway. The desk staff are wonderful and amazing, even through the different shift changes and from weekdays to the weekend. We took advantage of the self serve breakfast offering and it met our needs with many choices and good coffee from a dispensing machine at a reasonable price. The breakfast staff were pleasant and efficient, there is no question to the commitment to having a clean and neat offering. The room was small yet efficient with places to set your bags for a couple. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very small as was the sink and shower unit, again it was not an issue for us. The elevator, although small was never busy when we were there and we took the stairs down every day. Subway entrances are very close by to various lines. You could walk to some major sites in 20 minutes or a half hour. We would stay again, this takes in account a four night stay for tourism purposes.

• Cezara (6/5): - My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days.. the hotel was ok our room was always clean and the people working in this place are very kind and available to help with anything you need. Only bad part is the area for me… sleeping at night was a bit hard as there are a group of homeless/ drunk people always staying across che road screaming and breaking stuff. This made me feel uncomfortable coming back during the night with the metros as I didn’t feel safe at all. Very sorry as this is the only bad part… the hotel is also located in a very strategic area close to 2 metro stops that will bring you directly to Louvre, eiffle tour and all the main attraction.

Locker wasn't working. Architecture inside the room was narrow to stand properly inside. One day room service was not good orher 2 days was good. Not worth for money, not suitable for family.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Great location, affordable, some major drawback's. - Pros - Great neighborhood to be in, easy access to metro and many landmarks. - Convenient to restaurants, pharmacy, grocery stores, etc. - Fairly affordable compared to other options. - Staff was friendly and recognized us after the first day. Cons - Window only had a very flimsy bar, made it very dangerous for kids. Unable to leave window open until we left, which is not great for a place with no AC. - Although the room was cleaned everyday and the main areas seem clean, shelves, under the bed and floors were covered in dust. - We were on the sixth floor which requires a small elevator and stairs to get to, not ideal when you have suitcases. - Bathroom had no ventilation, we had to put a fan inside, felt like a sauna without it. - Pillows were as thin as they get. - They require you leaving your key anytime you leave, which is fine, but don’t ask to verify ID or even last name when you come pick it up. Granted the clerk was generally the same person and most likely recognized us, didn’t feel like the safest system.

• Carolina (6/5): Mal estado. - La habitación, no era la que veíamos durante la reserva, nos dieron la del altillo solo con ventana de guardilla pero sin vista. Es extremadamente pequeño, y teníamos que subir una escalera estrecha de espiral con las maletas en la mano dos pisos. La moqueta está extremadamente sucia y manchada, da asco y el baño no estaba bien limpiado, las toallas sucias, y rotas. Llegamos a las 11 de la noche y el baño estaba roto, se salía el agua del lavamanos, al siguiente día ya no se salía pero estaba tapado. El agua caliente se va durante la ducha. El personal era amable pero pareciera que tienen normalizado que pasan estas cosas.

• Pablo T (2/5): Don't use hotels.com, call the hotel directly - My review is for Hotels.com App and web page. They app showed one price and they charged me more in my credit card, saying the cancellation was not possible. hotels.com are a bunch of crooks. The hotel was fine, but hotels.com is a very shady company and service. Do not use hotels.com. Again the physical hotel was perfect, positive review for the hotel.
• Verified traveler (4/5): NO AC - THIS HOTEL HAS NO AIR CONDITIONING. We stayed in July and suffered with one small table fan. Luckily we only stayed about a day and a half (2 nights). The room is VERY small. They also make you leave your key when you leave the property which is kind of weird. Elevator is very sketchy we used the stairs the whole time. I would not stay here again even if the price was cheaper
• Erin (2/5): - Please do not stay in this hotel! The rooms are filthy, and infinitely smaller then they look in the pictures. The hotel smells musty throughout and while the staff are friendly, they are not at all helpful and kept saying that nothing was in their control and an “offsite director” needed to be consulted in order to even consider a refund. We booked for 4 nights but left after the first as we did not want our vacation ruined by our poor accommodations. Do not stay here!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Positive surprise - I was really positively surprised! The staff was amazing, especially the lady at the reception in the morning, a huge merci to her! The room was an OK size for Paris and the bathroom was large. We stayed in the family room on the sixth floor and would return. The location was good, the breakfast was good, everything was good. Even the no AC was not a problem in July, although I had my doubts. Would recommend!
• Verified traveler (4/5): Rooms not as described/ shown in images - The room was dirty and not accurate to the representations on the website. The lift is TINY! If you have claustrophobia, you will not cope. The lift is the only way to the rooms. The fan was held together with sellotape, the bed was hard and the pillows lacklustre. The Wi-Fi connection was free and strong.

• Abir (2/5): - Hôtel vieillot, pas très propre surtout la moquette, pas de miroir ni frigo dans la chambre Il est très mal isolé, on entend tout ce qui se passe dans les chambres à côté et dans le couloir Le ménage commence à 8h du matin !!! Les deux seuls points positifs sont l’emplacement et le personnel sinon je vous le déconseille fortement.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Ok hotel - God beliggenhed i forhold til metrostationerne, men også lidt skidt område i forhold prostituerede og hjemløse på gaderne. Mange gode spisesteder. Selve hotellet var ældre og værelset lidt småt. Der blev ikke fyld op med kaffe/the og heller ikke fjernet opvask fra værelset. Rengøringen var mangelfuld. Der manglede et "forstyr ikke" skilt til døren og rengøringspersonalet gik ind på værelset uden at banke på først! Ikke ok!!

• VASILIKI ARETI (2/5): - I was supposed yo travel to France from the UK but the French government did not allow us to enter the country. I try contacting the hotel but they wouldn't het back to me. Evey time I called they told me to call back the next day. In the end, I was informed in a very ruse and unacceptable way that I couldn't get a refund or even a credit for future traveling. I find it unacceptable for a hotel to be so inflexible during the pandemic. I would not recommend staying in that hotel. The staff is very rude and unfriendly with no desire to accommodate their clients. All they care is the money!

There was some construction outside which made it loud at times but that was outside the control of the hotel. Overall, very clean and staff was friendly. There is also a tiny elevator available and this was super useful to have and not need to carry heavy luggage up the steps!

• Antonio Marcio (8/5): Nice Hotel Stay! - Hotel simple, but nice. Our room was clean. Subway is near which makes a traveler's life easy! Many restaurants and bars in the area. Staff super nice! The only thing I didn't like is that the hotel is located in a "closed" street and many people go there to get drunk, and they end up sleeping there, on the street. They speak super loud, until late hours and sometimes even fight. It is not the hotel's fault, but it is a "not nice" thing.

Only hiccup was the Saint-Denis metro station is currently closed AND they are repaving the sidewalk all the way to the hotel entrance so that was a bit annoying with luggage. Room and hotel were more than adequate especially for price.

• blanca (6/5): Friends trip - it was great, only bad side is the room had no AC and it was very hot, I didn't think of looking to see if it had AC or not since I live in Florida I just figured it would have AC, other than that everything else was great
• Omar (8/5): Paris - Hotel was fine. The neighborhood can be a bit noisy till 4-5am with people drinking in local bars but that’s going to be all over
• Jerome (8/5): Convenient, clean, easy - Not a luxury hotel by any means but a clean convenient spot in a nice area if you just need to sleep in a nice hotel and not really spend time there.

• Verified traveler (8/5): A welcoming Hotel - Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and shared toilet....less than a minute to the nearest metro station. It's in a bustling area that was perfectly safe. A wide range of restaurants and markets nearby.
• Sande/Mike (10/5): - We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Mazagran. It is a small hotel, I think four rooms on each floor. It is older but quaint. And, it is very clean. The best part was the staff...they were all super helpful and friendly. The hotel was very close to the Strasborg-Saint Denis Metro station, so once we mastered the Metro system, we were able to go everywhere easily. Some people might not appreciate that there was one toilet/sink room on each floor, but it didn’t bother us. Each room had a shower and a sink, so just the toilet was shared. A light breakfast was included (croissant/baguettes and yoghurt, juice,tea). It was just what we wanted. We have stayed in a number of hotels on this trip; I think this was my favorite because the hotel (and the staff) had a lot of personality.
• Kathleen (8/5): Oasis in a Run Down Area - No air conditioning. You can’t leave the window open at night. Noicey on the street late at night. Drunks yelling and singing during the night. Hotel manager, Amid, energetic and extremely forthcoming. Breakfast was well worth it.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good staff, Bad shower - The staff at the hotel were really sweet and very accommodating. The room was not. The room was not super small, it was big enough to fit two people with our luggages. Their was a connecting sink and shower, but we had to go to a bathroom to use the toilet down the hall. Overall it was okay, but the shower was disastrous. There was mold on the ceiling in the shower, and there was no light so taking a shower was impossible because it was dark and it smelled awful. It was a tiny shower too so there was no way to try and move around. The room itself was okay and the staff was good but the shower was impossible to work around. I've stayed in hostels with better showers and cleaner facilities.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Satisfied - Stay was good. We had a double room with private shower but shared toilet. Good for the price, and decent location. WiFi is in and out. If you’re coming to Venice on a budget, this place is worth it.
