• Linda (1/5): - Not location was convenient This was nothing more than a flop house.It was dirty, it had people living in it.The people above me were fighting all night long and dragging furniture and dropping things. There was only one young girl that spoke english , and she was had to understand and got sick , and I had to talk to her through a phone while she was in a hospital bed. I was told they would refund my money.Because I left 3 days early.Cause it was a dangerous scary place and I have not received my refund yet.

When we entered, there was a horrible smell of curry and another mixed smell that was probably from the "good cleaning"—the sink had toothpaste in it, the floor looked like it hadn't been washed, and the air conditioning filter had never been cleaned, as you can see in the photos. It's not very advisable for those traveling with children.

• Stephen (8/5): Definitely a little rough around the edges, but a great value hotel. - Pleasantly surprised how quiet it was as far as the Rt. 30 traffic. Excellent location, beautiful view in back of the hotel. The lady running the place was just wonderful and attentive. Needed a few more amenities. Coffee would be good, and I believe it would fit in the office. Ice machine was broken. Easy to hear neighboring rooms.

The first room issued to us had a toilet seat hanging on with only one pin....could be a safety issue, esp. with older people or young children. The second room had a broken chain lock( safety issue), a toilet seat that was bubbled and paint chipping off, etc.

• Carol (7/5): Good place to stay for the value. - Very friendly and courteous owners. Good location. Our room was fine but could use some new things. I’ve stayed here a few times before and will be back. Had a hard time sleeping because of loud guests directly above us that were up all night! I’m pretty sure others had to have heard them as well! So rude. Very disappointed in that aspect. However that isn’t the Inn’s fault. Otherwise it was fine with the exception of needing new blankets, air freshening and a new toilet seat for the room we stayed in.
• Steven (1/5): It was not enjoyable. No wonder there was a sign in the office (NO REFUNDS) by the office desk. - Not much of anything. Maybe just the location. Where do I start. From the time we got there abt 4 PM my husband went to the office to check in and the woman that was there could not understand him. She spoke broaken English and was not very friendly. She finally gave him (1) key to the room. He came to the door to unlock it and had a hard time getting it to work. Finally we got it open and started to check out the room. The first think I saw when I opened the door was that I looked up at the ceiling and the Smoke Alarm was (COVERED WITH A PLASTIC BAG) In my book that should be illegal!!!!! Then went to the bathroom the 3 mirrors in there were so streaky looked like they were wiped down with a rag that maybe was used on the floor or something. Then we tried the TV and it would not work. We tried everything then my husband said it is prob the remote cuz it would not lite up. So he went back over to the office and got the guy this time and he was very nice and came to our room and tried the TV still not working my husband said it is prob the remote so he went and got new batteries and tried it and then it worked. The hairdryer on the wall also didn't work told the guy and he checked it but still not working. We told him to forget abt that. I then looked on the inside of the door and the safety lock on the door had the (CHAIN) missing on it so we certainly didn't feel very safe with that missing. I mean why would they take the chain off of the safety lock on the door? We were on the 1st floor and whoever was on the 2nd floor above us were making so much noise all night long I mean into 2 & 3 PM so with that noise and the sound of the traffic on the highway needless to say there was not much sleep for either of us. As you can prob tell we (WILL NOT) ever go back here nor will be send anyone else we know here. I know the price was right but sometimes that isn't worth going thru what we went thru.

• Linda (7/5): Overall we went there to sleep and everyone slept very well. It was clean. - Slept very well. Two rooms the room keys did not work. One room the heat did not work and needed to be turned on. One room smoked up when the heat was turned on. One room the TV needed attention.

• MASATO (4/5): Even considering the low price of $100 per night during peak season, I'm dissatisfied. - Good location Noisy exhaust fan. Soundproofing is insufficient, and the noise from street traffic is loud. The tissue paper has run out and hasn't been refilled.

• Alejandra (3/5): Will not book this place again - Location Room needed to be dusted, and better clean, there was a big gap at the bottom of the door that you can see outside, the paint was peeling between the shower head and the wall, and we were able to hear the people in the other room slamming the door, fighting and talking loud @ midnight, then 4:40 am and 7:00 am. • Amanda (1/5): I would not recommend staying here especially if you have children - Close to shopping Ice machine broke, smoke detector in room had a bag wrapped around it, beds where horrible no support I think they were the cheapest ones they could get, a guy came out and had a motorcycle that he was trying to get started by jumping it and then he started reving up the motor so loud..I think that him and some other ones were living in the motel rooms...it made it look really trashy.... outside looked dirty

• Dennis (4/5): - There were bugs in the bathroom. I killed and flushed them most of the night. I wasn't able to sleep because of this. The ceiling and wall in the bathroom had been spackled and not finished. The furniture set up was not conducive to more than one occupant. The toilet flushed fine and the air conditioning worked well. My husband and I checked out early and cancelled our additional night's stay due to the insects. I would not recommend the Scottish Inn Ronks, PA.

• Marti (1/5): Bad - The staff seemed friendly upon arriving. The room that I was assigned to had bed bugs in the room. The front desk had stated that they were unaware and that I would be refunded. Now, 3 days later there has still not been a refund or confirmation of a refund from the facility or booking.com. I keep being told that it will be 24 hours and this is the 3rd time I've been told 24 hours. I absolutely do not recommend Scottish Inn nor using booking.com.
• Danielle (1/5): Very Disappointed - Was convenient location to everything we wanted to see and do while we were there. The room was dirty. It was 90 degrees outside and the central air wasn't working. The room was full of flies. Called to let the staff know but got a rude response.
• Brian (8/5): I have stayed before and will stay there again . - LOCATION. Great price..Second floor which was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice .Tons of hot water and loved watching the amish strolling by. Did not like the fact that they took out the smoke detector in my room which made me nervous .The first thing my husband checks is the air conditioner filter which is never cleaned but also have to admit most hotels don't . I stayed for 2 nights and when I came back they never made up the room and when I asked they told me I have to ask to do it. I had to ask for new towels which they brought right away but would have like to come back to a nice made up room and husband kept kicking his toe on the edge of the beds,

• Kimberly (1/5): Aweful! Do not stay here! Do not trust the pictures - The price was reasonable and it looked okay in the pictures. The sign in the lobby stated no refunds. That should have been our first clue. The room we had, 107, had BEDBUGS! I had two bites within 15 min of turning the lights off and saw them on the bed. We immediately grabbed our belongings and left at 10:30 pm after driving all day. I want a refund as we never did actually stay. Unacceptable!! I should have taken pictures but we were so grossed out and mad I didn’t even think about it

• courtneypH195SW (2/5): Disgusting - Upon check-in, I was handed a key card in a very used envelope. I should’ve realized that was the beginning of my overnight nightmare. After a long day at a wrestling tournament, we wanted to go to bed. When we turned down the sheets, there were dead bugs on the bed so I went to the office to ask for new sheets and the lady at the desk told me I needed to wait until she was finished eating dinner. When she did deliver the sheets, she handed them to me. I went to make the bed and pull the dirty sheets off, and the mattress pad had blood and pee stains all over I then called her in to take a look at that. She said the man that cleans the rooms likes money but not cleaning. She then wanted to show me the room next-door which she assured me she cleaned herself. That bed had dried up food on the sheets. I stayed in our original room. She gave me a new mattress pad and sheets, and we laid beach towels that were in my car down and slept on those on top of the “clean”sheets. The floor also had food crumbs on it. Overall disgusting experience.

• Mary (3/5): Cost too much for the condition of the place. - The lady who checked us in was nice. We were on the backside of the building so we had a view of a farm field. Dirty. Cob webs in the corners, a lot of dead bugs in the lights on the ceiling, very stained light shade by the window, very thin walls (you will hear your neighbors beside and above), bathroom must of had a leak from upstairs that was patched up, and the bathroom door was hard to close then it was difficult to open since it was stuck. Someone who owns a Harley was revving its engine almost every hour which echos between the buildings and shakes the room. We left in the middle of the night.

• Kathy (2/5): Would not come back. - Low price. Paid for what we got. The noise from the highway kept us up all night. You could see daylight around the door. The pillows were like a piece of paper. The room was clean though. The walls were thin we could hear everyone around and above us.
