Guest Reviews
- Brandy (2/5): - Room was clean. Desk worker at check-in was very friendly. I booked this hotel through Expedia and was charged but when I arrived, I was charged again by the front desk. I have tried multiple times to call Expedia and it says the system is broken so essentially I have been charged two times one from Expedia, and one at the hotel.
- Juanita (8/5): - Great value for the money. Dated but clean and close to the beach
- Ilan (2/5): - This place was more like a hostel with your own private room. Furniture looks like it came out of someones old apartment. Wifi barely worked. Weird smell all the time. Bath towels and sheets looked second hand and never bleached.
Breakfast was the only good thing here.
Even the safe in the room didn’t work.
I would never recommend it at that price to anyone.
- Julie (6/5): - El hotel está en buena ubicación pero habían hormigas por momentos.
- Mike (8/5): - They gave me a free upgrade since I ordered through you. Checking clerk was very helpful, room seems very comfortable. Quite adequate for a reasonable price!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s not too bad for price , great location good food in restaurant , kosher
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ottima posizione,Albergo pulito e molto accogliente
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Our room was much smaller than the photos depicted. It was hardly space to move around in for two people. It was humid and hot in there too.
Dinner in the restaurant was terribly expensive and more than we wanted, but there was nothing else around.
- Peter (10/5): Perfectly adequate - Fantastic location, ten minute stroll to beach facilities, very close to town centre. Staff friendly and helpful, great breakfasts! Room was a good size, a little short on hanging space. Bathroom good size. The hotel is not a luxury resort type hotel, but it doesn’t claim to be. Reasonably priced for an hotel in Israel, I will be staying there on my next trip and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
- SMK (10/5): - Hotel Boutique Alma exactly matched our needs. The reception staff and cleaning staff were exceptionally helpful. The makolet, attached shop, was convenient and well-stocked. Unfortunately we lost the value of the free breakfast because it did not have kosher certification.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Chambre très propre, un peu petite mais bien équipée
- Sorin (10/5): - breakfast delicious. perfect service and nice guy
- Verified traveler (6/5): Normal place. Looks better in internet - The hotel is well located, close to the center and the beach. The breakfast is very good. Internet good too.
The room was clean, but dark and had only a small window that opened.
The wc was something old. The curtain in very bad condition. Lack of ventilation.
What we didn't like was that we saw two huge cockroaches in the toilet. I don't know if it's normal over there or not.
The other thing is that the second night, there were works in the street from 21 pm until 4 am in the morning. They broke up a street with a very noisy machine so we couldn't sleep until they finished. This was something punctual but we think the hotel knew about this, and at least they would have informed us.
- Vladimir (8/5): - The hotel, although not new, is clean and well maintained. The staff is pleasant and helpful, as well as being Multilingual.
It is a budget hotel, so one needs to manage expectations. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and so were my relatives who also staid in the hotel at the same time.
- monicadY735JL (8/5): It worths every shekel we payed! - The place is very clean and neat. The room comfortable and modern. The staff was ready to help with any question or requirement. The breakfast very good and more than enough. The location is excellent, 5-10 minutes walking from the center and from the beach. The price was a nice surprise!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The breakfast was very good, close to the beach area.
- SteveMartin (10/5): - Love the people! Thankful for a parking spot at the front door.
- A1118FUdanielp (8/5): Good price quality - Good beds and extremely helpful staff in the restaurant. We were given wrong info first at the reception regarding the kosher certificate but afterwards we were pleasantly surprised by the staff that allowed us to be served after the opening hours.
- Chalom (8/5): Bon rapport qualité prix - Au niveau d l Hotel un peu vieux sent le renfermé pas de wifi ne pas s attendre à mieux
- Hector (8/5): - Chambre trop petite. Salle de bain petite aussi , Pas de parking, le personnel sympa
- Jamie (8/5): - Room was nice, clean and upgraded to better room at no cost.
- R (10/5): - Excellent budget hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood a few blocks from the sea. Not fancy, but clean, spacious rooms. Good served breakfast.
- Allyson (10/5): Excellent & Comfortable Stay. - Professional and friendly staff, modern & clean room with bathroom & decent shower, free and good wifi signal, frig, microwave, kettle, tea & coffee, well-stocked convenience store & restaurant on site. Excellent price. Complimentary Israeli breakfast! Outstanding!
- Verified traveler (8/5): a good hotel - location
- Mordekhay (4/5): Good price no slipping because of Noyes from desk - Noyes from tv lobby at night
- Marcus&Lora (10/5): Mini-Stay - The staff is amazing! The Meat Restaurant is delicious. Very personable and pleasant staff made our stay so great we didn't want to leave!
- M (4/5): - Rude staff, room not as pictured on website
- Nicholas (10/5): - It was just nice and friendly and easy!
- Emilia (10/5): Good - Its a good place to stay accesible to the city and have a mini market open during saturday.... the room is clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel in Netanya - Good hotel in Netanya, Friendly staff. Good breakfast. No parking.
- BernardGarrett (2/5): The worst hotel I've ever stayed in - I regret to say this is worst hotel I've stayed in.
Forget the word Boutique - Any interpretation of this word cannot apply to this hotel.
My room on the first night was shared with the Aircom unit outside my window serving the hotel's ground floor..
My last night was shared with a cockroach.
If I had not been working 12 hour days I would have moved hotels
The room was decorated lithesome interesting architectural features and clearly there has not been a Designer anywhere near this hotel.
I cannot even blame myself for choosing this hotel, as it was booked by someone working on behalf of the Company I was working for.
I have to say some staff were friendly others did not seem as if they really wanted to be there.
Breakfast is Ok, but you are hardly welcomed with a smile and a "Good morning".

- julienm858 (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel, the guy on the counter gif us all the explanation we needed to get with the public transport to the Wingate Institute and back.
The rooms ware clean and every day fresh towels, breakfast was good, got every you need. Airco was still and very useful.
- heinrichg4711 (2/5): Terrible room not according to the desription. The owner unfriendly. Be careful and do not give a credit card. - The hotel is in a good location in Netanya. The room was not what we booked. Terrible small and loud. The staff worked in the neibourroom behind a paperwall. In the bathroom I could not wash mayself when the door was closed. The room and the hotel were dirty. The receptionist agreed, that we wnt to leave it two days later. When we checked out the extreme unfriendly owner charged us in spite of this more than 200 Euro extra from the credit card. That is cheating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy check-in and check-out.
Breakfast is okay, seen better.
- Odyssey10986136915 (2/5): THE WEB SITE AND PHOTOS ARE VERY DECEIVING. - Rooms tiny, moved out after one night. The staff were helpful. But all in all to call it a hotel and not a youth hostel is deceiving. It is very central, not far from beach and shops, a 5 minute walk. It is ok for the younger generation. The shower was so small that you couldn't get 2 people in the room at the same time.
- Amnon (10/5): Super nice and convenient - Very helpful and pleasant staff!
Attractive, modern hotel, 15 minutes from Ben Gurion airport. They also have meeting rooms available.
- Jerry (4/5): Clean, but about as unappealing as you can imagine - Not a nice place. Booked for 4 nights. Stayed for 1 night because at 10:00 pm it was already too late to change. We had to find a last minute alternative the next day. The room was booked as a room with two beds but because of a lack of communication with Expedia they hotel gave us a room with 1 queen bed. That was not the hotel staff's fault and the clerk at check tried to remedy this problem, but was unable to. Hotel room was tiny. Bathroom was old and unappealing.
- Lauren620 (8/5): Located downtown - The pros: Convenient location, clean, beautiful contemporary interior design in rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced for the location and degree of luxury. Beds very comfortable. Windows open for good quality air.
The cons: The attractive minimalist design fails to provide enough surface areas, either for luggage or for toothbrush and toiletries in the bathroom. The shower stalls leak onto the bathroom floor (2 different rooms). The only soap provided is in little foil packets that require two hands to open and squeeze some out; please provide either bar soap or liquid soap dispenser! TV works well but there was no English language news station. Toilet dispenser feeds from center of roll and jams easily, and can't be unjammed because the dispenser is locked.
Breakfast is not buffet; consists of eggs made to order, pastries that are not very good, and little commercial containers of yoghurt with sweetened fruit. Okay, but not anywhere near as good as most Israeli breakfasts.
The cons are really minor, but keep me from giving this really very pleasant hotel a 5-star rating. Could easily be fixed.
- hernandez (4/5): - Too much money for very bad conditioned hotel
- Flagram6 (4/5): A disappointment! - After arriving late in the evening we were greeted by a very surly person at the desk. Walking to our room we realized we were staying in a less than wonderful "boutique" hotel. The room appeared clean and somewhat updated but we soon realized there were many deficiencies. The towels in the bathroom were dingy gray, there was no bar of soap, no place in the bathroom to hang things, dirty glasses on the sink, no hair dryer. But the major problem was an enormous ROACH which was exploring my cell phone on the dresser. Our complaints the next morning were met with a shrug! We have stayed in other boutique hotels that charged less than the Alma and were quite elegant. This hotel was a huge disappointment!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good room with central location. When we turned on the AC, dust came out and landed on the bed. Otherwise, the staff was friendly, and there is a restaurant downstairs.
- winter12274 (8/5): Overnight stay - First of all i wanna thank Marco (receptionist) for welcoming us and he is very helpful and reliable. Breakfast is one of the best breakfast we had with a boutique hotel. The only problem is they should improve their sound proof walls because we heard guest from other side if the wall making love.
- pflagdad (8/5): Convenient location, friendly management, good rooms - This is our third stay at Hotel Boutique Alma - part of our annual trek to visit family in Israel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom features are just ok - I would prefer a shower door instead of a plastic curtain. The manager, Alon, is gracious and helpful, as are the other staff. Israeli breakfast is included - good, fresh breads, omelets and Israels salads/etc.
- Sandra (8/5): - It was very interesting and educational.
- Joelle (4/5): Hotel need to have the basic to work, like bathroom - I stay for Fifteen days and I was not happy with the room they chenge me in to 3 different room they all have something it's not working.
The only person was nice is the hotel
Manger Alon is name
- lee905 (10/5): Best sleep ever! - I am an absolute clean freak... This place not only met my standards, it exceeded them! This place was immaculate! Spotless! The bed was super comfortable and the showers were sparkling. The service was outstanding and they really make an extra effort to ensure you are happy! They made suggestions for places to eat and go. The warm breakfast buffet was fresh and had many options.
I will not stay anywhere else from now on. They were right in the centre of the city and was walking distance everywhere. 5 mins to the beach, best restaurants and Boardwalk. I highly recommend!
- Telly (10/5): Clean hotel good breakfast Nearly everywhere. Wort - Clean hotel good breakfast
Nearly everywhere.
Worth the money
- isaacemjay (8/5): Would be great with a little TLC - This place is a quaint boutique hotel situated close to a shopping/dining area and yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. Price is amazing for a B&B in Israel. The receptionist was helpful enough. The rooms are modern, clean and you are greeted with a nice small bottle of wine. The rooms are not huge but more then adequate, with a TV, frig, microwave and hair dryer upon request. Room sink was completely lose and bathroom sink leaked. Mattress was a bit lumpy. As we we experienced before, the hotel was in winter mode, even though it is rather temperate so the heavy blanket made us warm and we didn't have any other option. Ended up opening a window.
Breakfast was very fresh (best borekas) and the guy in the breakfast area was very nice.
Overall I would stay there again based on the cleanliness, price and proximity to everything. A few little changes would make the place a great find.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Short break - The hotel is quite basic but pleasant enough. The good points are: - 1. It is not very expensive 2. The coffee at breakfast was really very good 3. There is a fridge and safe in the room although I did not use them (couldn't work out how to use the safe). 4. The WiFi was excellent and did not keep disconnecting as in most hotels.
Bad points were: - 1. The room was freezing cold at night and the heating did not work properly and made no difference. I only coped because there were 2 beds and I used both duvets with one folded over 2. It is impossible to use the shower without flooding the bathroom.
- rreesink (4/5): Poor quality hotel with friendly service - The first night I stayed in poor quality room, which did look more like a garage then a room. After complaining, they upgraded me to a much nicer room / suite. Nevertheless, this room wasn't clean as cigarette ashes was still on the floor. The breakfast was descend, but not a real Israeli breakfast. Diner a the restaurant beside the hotel is overpriced, but they have good quality food.
- johndelamonte (8/5): Pleasant stay - The hotel was comfortable. Rooms were clean with ceramic floors. LInen and towels were clean too. Had a frig, microwave, kettle.
Good breakfast choice.
The reception was accomdating... nothing more.
As for the Town, resturant owners in general are not polite. Everyone seems gruppy with no smiles. No sense of happiness.
Secondly like Tel Aviv there are too many cats everywhere. It smells the cat. Resturant owners let stray cats eat on the tables.. Discussing ...no hygiene...
- Terry (8/5): Friendly staff - Very nice boutique hotel in nice area of town, close to beach, restaurants and transportation.
- miraantebi (8/5): I loved it. - the hotel is rather small , the room was small but clean, It was perfect, the atmosphere was so relaxing, a great place to escape and unwind. the staff were very nice, especialy Alon the manager. very nice and helpful. breakfast in the café was so soothing, so quiet and just right, no noisy people or crowded dining room. the coffee and cappucino were unreal, breakfast was somewhat minimal but good enough to make it enjoyable. staff in the meat restaurant were so nice and the food was delicious. I showed up as they were closing, the restaurant manager got the chef back in the kitchen to cook something special for me, that was so sweet of them. I will definitely go back, looking forward to escape to few days of serenity and relaxation
- Joel (10/5): Off the path - Friendly staff and great location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Ok - Hotel is clean. There is no parking and hotel is located 2 blocks from beach so if you need a place to sleep but don't plan on going out your in a terrible location. I had to circle for over an hour to find a spot at 10pm. When booking online I booked for 2 adults and a child and my total was $155 this was confirmed in email confirmation but when we checked out they charged us another $25 for our child.
- 881maximb (10/5): More than i expected. - It was our first time in Netanya.
Staff were friendly. Especially Alon, the manager, and Jonathan, the young man at reception.
Breakfast: good. I would like more diversity and different things on different week days.
Coffee/capicino - excellent.
Rooms were speckless everyday. So my special appreciation to the cleaning staff people.
And the main thing: it is a QUIET PLACE!!! The closer you come to the beach, the more construction there is out there. As for Alma, it stands on quiet street.
- pflagdad (6/5): Mixed Room Bag; Good Location - This is our second visit. The first time (last year) the room was adequate; the bathroom was difficult to negotiate; breakfast was excellent. This time, our first room was terrible - it was advertised as a Garden Suite, but was dark, with a bathroom entry from the front door. We changed rooms the next day to a more acceptable, standard room. The shower entry required a high step. Otherwise, facilities were fine. Breakfast was the same mediocre fare every day, clearly downgraded from our first visit. Location is convenient to the beach.
- Heath Care (10/5): Excellent - Wonderful helpful staff centrally located---- close to beach. Good food -would stay there again
- ReneeR702 (6/5): Adequate choice in a town with very little to choose from - We stayed at the Alma in Netanya on business recently. We weren't expecting much, but the room was certainly of adequate size and clean. The bed was a bit of a problem. It was a platform bed, which meant that it was low to the floor. In addition, part of the platform was a frame that necessitated climbing up and over the frame to get out of it. The worst part of the Alma was breakfast. We have traveled to Israel many times, and stayed in many places of all quality. Without a doubt, the breakfast at the Alma was the worst that we have ever had. The selections were paltry and not very good. The bread was inferior -- white bread rolls, only. No cheese, a couple of poor quality vegetable salads, a baked egg dish in a muffin cup that was dry beyond recognition. They aren't even trying to present something appetizing. In a country that prides itself on its breakfasts, this was horrendous, and is in immediate need of upgrading.
- 152meghannl (8/5): Lovely hotel - I stayed at the Alma for 8 nights while attending a congress. It is very close to the beach but not directly on the beach. Walking distance from a pedestrian plaza with lots of restaurants. Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast is good - the same everyday but fresh bread and pastries delivered each morning. My room was very nice. Quiet with a restaurant as well. I highly recommend in Netanya.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely Hotel! - Great, clean hotel, good breakfast and nice restaurant with homemade pastry and bread. Highly recommended.
- GG (2/5): Terribly Disappointing - This was a special anniversary for us, so I booked the nicest room, which was the garden room with spa. When we arrived, the whole place felt sleezy. When we were shown to our room at this "boutique hotel" we were both in shock. It looked like a small cheap motel room. The sign on the door did not have our room number, it said SPA. Then we walked in through the bathroom. The simple toilet and shower were separated by a nylon curtain. Walking through the bathroom you end up in a make-shift bedroom. There were some shelves with cheap knick-knacks and a large TV screen with a foreign movie on for us. Some shelves to put our things. A small fridge with an electric water kettle on top and some instant coffee packets. Not what I would call luxury. Vinyl flooring. Then, there is a large electric EXIT sign in the room. You go through there to get to our "private spa." omg. On the website you see this nice gurgling whirlpool tub. In reality it's an old wooden rectangular pool filled with icky water. I asked the man showing us to our room what you're supposed to do in that pool. He said it's heated to 40 degrees and you can sit in it. No whirlpool. Just sit in it. The dry sauna was nice and clean, but you have to walk through this creepy spa to get to it. I peeked behind some of the nylon shower curtains - old ugly pipes were there. Just creepy. It all felt like being in a basement.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wifi great. Hotel not so great. - The wifi was the best part of the hotel. The staff was not very friendly and the bathroom needed cleaning. The towels were old and stained. The bed was comfortable but was very small for 2 people. Additionally, there was a moldy smell upon entering the room. Finally, the breakfast was free, but the choices were very limited.
- michael (10/5): great - a greta quiet place with a staff that reallt caters to every need of their guests
- Stanley (8/5): Friendly, quaint, comfortable stay. - I spent two nights at the Hotel Boutique Alma, and was very pleased with the accommodations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and in a pleasant greenhouse type of eating area. The taxi cost from the train station to the hotel was 40 shekels. The hotel is within walking distance of the people mall of Netanya, and the Mediterranean Sea. For the price, it can't be beat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel for this price - Employees are very accommodating. Nice hotel and breakfast.
