Scott (8/5): Ramada Darwin - The balcony, the rooftop bar. Nice long pool but very narrow - difficult to swim if people were lapping. The rooms stayed cool even without much aircon. Asked for a view and got it. Sunrise. Breakfast was convenient, not much else around. The location near the CBD was pretty good. The toilet through a thin door from the bedroom. Not ventilated !! The bed was much too soft. Has to sleep near the edge for a firmer ride.

Jane (6/5): Friendly hotel but in a grungy part of Darwin. - The reception staff were very friendly. I liked the posters with zen sayings on the walls. The hotel was in a grungy part of town and was a little cramped and dilapidated. The pool was nice but very narrow and once one person is swimming laps there really isn't room for anybody else! There was also a lot of noise in the hotel in the middle of the night with people staggering and falling over in the corridors and there was blood on the corridor floor when we left our room the next morning.

The staff were lovely and I'm sure that it was all filtering down from the top - we got talking to the manager in the elevator.. A super friendly and considerate human. The room had a private balcony overlooking Darwin CBD and the harbour. A very well kept pool was a welcome refreshment from the humidity. Staff provided outstanding Customer Service with the Rooftop bar supplying complimentary nibbles and canapés.

The pool was great, kids loved it and gave us something to do in the hot hot afternoons. Family Room was big and spacious, beds fairly comfy and room was clean. Free beers on arrival was appreciated and the snacks on the roof in the arvo was also a nice touch. Staff were lovely. Look the location isn't awesome - it's good for views but a bit of a dodgy side street. Saying that there are cafes and restaurants in walking distance as well as the wave lagoon.

Emilie (8/5): perfect place, i wish i knew about it this for our first nights in darwin. - everything, the property was clean, well furnished, with a laundry machine, and a dishwasher. the location is perfect too. the staff member was really polite and professional either way good manners. also in this facility they give you a voucher for a drink on their rooftop bar (with a good view on darwin). and also a complimentary drink per customers, this add-ons make the stay different in a good way. the place is really quiet (level 9) and the pool is perfect if you really want to swim. i will say if they can add tissues and shampoo would be perfect

Michelle (5/5): OK for the price but some weird arrangements and a bit tired. - It is a newish and modern building, reasonably located but at least a 500m walk to get anything. That was a bit of an issue when it's raining and you need to buy bread or similar. the upstairs bar was nice but not quite the "luxury" space you would expect. Must make a shout-out for the duty manager/ reception guy, Nick. Our first room had a water leak and Nick was more than happy to facilitate a move to another room. Always cheery and pleasant. The rooms were a bit tired with stained furniture and minimal modern things you would come to expect. Bedside USB chargers etc. The food arrangement for breakfast was bizarre. You got a $22 per person "allocation" to spend at the downstairs Cafe. They are ruthless if you go over and will happily swipe your card for the extra $1! The "Free Canapes" in the upstairs bar was also a bit overrated. I can't say I have ever seen chopped up red hot-dog sausages being described as Canapes! But still, it was free! - Also do NOT let your credit/debit card leave your sight. Ours did and mysteriously a couple of days later it was compromised.

John Evan Boatman (10/5): A great venue, the staff service and enthusiasm, the cafe, rooftop bar and pool being highlights - The breakfast had many options, and my breakfast was delicious, the coffee, food and service was of a high standard. The coffee and food was delicious. The knowledge of the staff in reception was always helpful and an uplifting experience, so that you could enjoy the hotel facilities and the Darwin experience. The only criticism would be the gym, it is very small with old worn equipment. It would be boosted with a redesign of the layout and update of equipment.

The location didn't really have anything nearby. The main town was about 1.5kms away and with the Darwin heat it wasn't all thay comfortable walking for things. That said, plenty of uber's available as well as scooters.
Susan (9/5): Great Easter weekend staycation - The rooms I selected and I was able to accommodate each of my kids needs as well as myself. The rooftop bar is always going to be good. Location was nice 👍 still good access to Darwin city central by foot My after hours access card didn't work properly on my second night which caused slight anxiety being stuck in an elevator. As well as my son's after hours elevator access card. Slight discomfort but quickly resolved.
