- Gayles (10/5): -
- Dawn (5/5): - For the most part, pretty clean and workers very nice Didn’t like having no working AC (it was cooler outside the room vs inside), the bathroom appeared dirty, and lastly no working fridge.

- Karissa (10/5): - The staff at the desk were helpful and checking in and out was fast and easy. My room was clean, quiet, and spacious. I only stayed one night, just to have a bed and a shower, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The property looked nice and spacious as well. I think it should be advertised more clearly that the hotel is right next to some train tracks. I didn't mind them passing by, but others might not like the noise.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t Stay Here - It’s outdated, has a mildew smell as soon as you open the door, and it’s got an infestation of centipedes. I regret having to write this but my stay was very unpleasant
- Veronica (8/5): Very good -
- erik (10/5): - Staff made the difference. They were great!
- Rick (8/5): - For the price, it was a nice place. I liked the shower. I loved the outdoor pool. The staff was very helpful. It would be nice to have bigger beds.

- Jane (10/5): - Driving late and had to find a place to stop. This place was great. Clean, very comfortable, easy on and off highway, friendly staff, affordable! Our stay was brief but we were toward the back and there is a lovely courtyard with an outdoor pool.
- Ballou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaxus (2/5): - Rude & untruthful staff. God got a plan for everybody though. I’ll pray the hundred dollars really helped them.
- Emmanuel (8/5): - Everything was good
- Daniel (10/5): - Everything was great! The help the people the area! I stay here every time I go to Dekalb
- Laura (10/5): Little escape - It was a quick overnight stay, the room was nice. Area safe enough to walk a few blocks to get dinner (college town). Only had an issue with my door and lock (it worked but very difficult), I let them know at checkout and they emailed later that it was fixed. I would definitely go back!
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Sintearia (10/5): - I was very close to the event I was there for in town. The lady at the desk was a sweetheart I forget her name but it started with a L.
- William (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shentell (10/5): - Keep up the good work
- Matthew (10/5): - Love the red roof inn in dekalb il I’ll be back
- Kacee (10/5): Highly recommend this stay - We got in very late but were greeted by the sweet and amazing Maddy! We also sadly had to leave early in the morning, but our short stay was very cozy.
- Karilee (10/5): Exceptional - The desk clerk Linette was amazing and helpful
- Caitlyn (2/5): - There was no hot water
- Liz (10/5): - We stayed the weekend to attend a Northern game. Nice place to stay. Friendly staff. Multiple options for food nearby and within walking distance to the husky stadium
- Matthew (4/5): - Stayed here before that room was great that’s why I came back. This time the room is horrible stains on the wall, wall paper peeling, a/c/heater sounded like it has marbles in it. Mini fridge never got cold no microwave. When I checked in the staff was great. I’ll say something when I check out. Disappointed….
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rita (8/5): Very good -
- Noel (1/5): Bad - Was overcharged 50 extra on incidental even when room was left practically untouched
- Matthew (10/5): - A basic well kept motel, staff were pleasant and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very old. Floors need replacing. Beds were small. The door was drafty so the heater kept running. The train is loud and comes often.
- Brandon (8/5): It was good enough for what we needed it for - How close it was to the university and where we needed to be The trains at night was loud and shook the beds. The room key kept demagnetizing even when no where near a phone or wallet.
- Gregory (8/5): - Older building. Formerly a Holiday Inn. Should upgrade to chair-height toilets.
- Dean (8/5): - Ms Lynne, who was staffing the registration desk when I checked-in, was a wonderfully hospitable person. She was personally engaging and welcoming...and should be commended for her efficiency and knowledge of the area.
- Rita (7/5): Fun and safe -
- Pearson (10/5): Our go to hotel when we visit our college kid - The quietness of the location. Our son goes to NIU and the red roof inn is less than two miles from his apartment There's really nothing we don't like.
- Shameka (8/5): - It was ok just needs some remodeling upgrades staff was ready nice
- Solis (4/5): Disappointing -
- Bennie (10/5): - Great staff!!!!!!!
- Debbie (7/5): Good -
- Rhene (10/5): - Water in exercise room
- Randal L (4/5): - The front desk staff were extremely friendly.
We found cleaning rags on one of the beds and there was a lot of hair in the tub. We were concerned about the railroad that ran close to the property, but we were tired and only heard trains a couple of times through the night.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Service
- Sumner (8/5): Overall, it was a good stay. The price was reasonable. - I don’t think there was a breakfast. We ate at the Junction which was just ok. The location was ok. The sheets were scratchy in the bed I slept in the first night. I think they were piled from many washings. I switched beds the second night and the sheets were fine. The room was clean which is my number 1 priority. It looked like it has been recently renovated and it was tasteful. Carpets are hard to keep clean on the first floor when it is right off the sidewalks but it was reasonably clean. Overall, it was a good stay. Receptionist was very friendly.
- Christie (10/5): - Clean and easily accessible laundry facilities. Warm and welcoming front desk staff. Able to get coins for the laundry at the front desk.
- Gregory (6/5): - Didn’t like the proximity to the active freight train line. Carpet seemed to have a residue on it - possibly from cleaning. Sink tap handle was loose and had to fiddle with it to change water temperature.
- Darren (7/5): A really convenient stop off before a flight the day after. - It is close to restaurants and the excellent Fatty’s bar. Easy access from the interstate.
Staff were excellent. A bit noisy from the railroad, but the hotel offers complimentary ear plugs for light sleepers.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Front desk clerk rude - Check in was a nightmare with an extremely rude front desk clerk. She turned a small miscommunication problem regarding what forms of payment they accept into a major ordeal. A simple we don’t take Apple Pay would have sufficed. Not who I would want representing my company. So my initial impression was that this hotel was not welcoming in the least. The room was decent as was the pool. We had no further problems during the rest of our stay.
- Aaron (10/5): Great hotel - By far the best hotel comoany out there to accomodate business travel.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (4/5): Disappointing -
- Phimmasorn (8/5): - Alright motel. Could use some updating and beautification inside & outside the property.
- Pearson (10/5): Exceptional - Despite being on a major road in DeKalb it was quiet. The room was nice. AC was perfect. The shower leaked outside the curtain.
- Margaret (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was nice We go to Dekalb every year, but the pool has been out of order for the last 5 years.
- Shentell (10/5): - Good job
- Shentell (10/5): - Keep up the good work
- Jannis (8/5): Would stay again - Clean & comfortable. A little noise from trains but not bad with AC running. Only complaint is in room coffee maker. Water reservoir was full of mold..gross! If you're not a coffee drinker it was fine.
- Bridget (6/5): it was fine - it was ok, pretty much what you’d expect from a red roof inn
- Brenda (8/5): It was a good experience. - Clean, friendly staff, quiet.
- Diaja (10/5): - Nice employees. I love the housekeeping ladies. Overall good staff. Quiet and helpful. 5 stars for me.
- Andrew (3/5): Worst experience ever - They were very helpful in getting me checked in early. She even called me after seeing my request on the online booking. The air-conditioner didn't work very good, we took the filters out and cleaned them ourselves. The bathroom has stains on the shower wall and floods real easy. The cops got called on the people upstairs and there was a frat party in the room next to us. I really wanted to go swimming but the pool was oily. Just a bad vibe all the way around. I was literally concerned to leave my room at night.
- scott (10/5): - Everything was great. Only problem I had was with soap dispenser in the shower being near empty. Got enough to get the shower in. But it took a bit of work to get enough soap out of the dispenser.
- Judy (8/5): it was basic comfort matching price - location hated bathroom sink too high
- Tiffany (10/5): - It was a nice and clean. The front desk agent was extremely nice during check in. I had a lot of things to carry and I was assigned a 2nd floor room. Since they did not have an elevator she gave a 1st floor room. For me with 2 small children ,that woked out wonderful.
- Michelle (8/5): - My only suggestion is to move the beds and clean behind them.
- Malcom (8/5): Worth the money - The stay was pleasant. I liked the affordable & the kindness of the staff. The room was nice & tighty. I would loved to have had a queen size bed.
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Aaron (10/5): - Loved it and the swimming pool
- Michael (10/5): Top of the Line Customer Service - Thanks Maddy!! - The best part about this stay was the customer service we received. Maddy the night auditor was one of the most amazing individuals I have encountered. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my driver was well taken care of and her level of compassion and professionalism definitely sets her apart from others in the hospitality area. She takes pride in how she represents Red Roof and you should consider her an asset.
