Marvin (9/5): Very simple and quaint and pleasant. - Rustic, clean and refreshing. Security lock did not work. Their restaurant was not operating, probably because of time of season (April 24).

They kept a well stocked eating area in the main office. Chris helped us out with directions and his friendliness was genuine and caring!
Shaibal (2/5): Horrible. Stay in Bend. Much better motels. - Location - less than 45 minutes to Crater Lake Staff. I requested a late check-in, got an email acknowledgement, and showed up after 10pm. Check-in room was closed, with a sign saying call this phone number for late check-in. Called many times. No response. Kept knocking on windows and doors for over 20 minutes. A grumpy, sleepy guy finally shows up. "Why didn't you call?" he says. I call that number in his presence. Nothing rings. Clearly, he muted his phone before going to sleep. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Once we got to our two rooms, both were DIRTY and a large spider crawled out as we opened the door.

Marlynn (8/5): - This is as close to Crater lake as we could find with good rating and it didn’t disappoint even though it is basically a roadside motel. The room is small but Very clean and has been fully updated and comfortable. The staff is super helpful. Although It is not listed as breakfast included, they provided bagels, muffins and coffee and was so kind to have to by 5:30 since we left at 5:40 to drive 45 mins for sunrise at Crater lake. Highly recommended. Price is on the high side. If you don’t mind driving further to Klamath Falls there are less expensive options.

Nina (9/5): Good experience at the Eagle Crater Lake Inn - It was clean and comfortable. Our room, A, was large for the two of us. I think the two beds may have each been king size. The owner is very nice and is at the front desk and works the property. He helped us learn the heating remote so we could get a comfortable temperature. The room had a mini fridge, tv, microwave, two nice chairs, shampoo, conditioner, two soaps, two shower caps, body lotion and lots of towels and pillows. They have a room near the office with complementary beverages and then toast, bagels and oatmeal in the morning. The appearance of the room/property is a work in progress but the important aspects of our stay were nice.

Mackenzie (10/5): A great place to make your home base when visiting crater lake and the surrounding area. - The hotel is perfectly functional as a your resting point when visiting crater lake, however the real star of the show was the staff. He is amazing. He bent over backwards to help us with a wifi issue, and remembered our names each morning after. And he was so helpful and ready to give suggestions about the area. I can't recommend highly enough. Wifi is not good and cell phone service is questionable, but for the whole town not just this hotel. So if being connected to the internet is super important to you, this is NOT the area to stay in as of summer 2025. But really its not a big deal to be unplugged for a few days.

The proprietor is very nice and we were able to have breakfast in the lobby where we discovered my husbands new favorite instant oatmeal! Mexican restaurant next door is excellent.

Simple coffee and bagels free for breakfast. Great Public House (best burger and hand cut fries!) down the street in tiny Chemult. Also Chevron gas station. Many tv channels and ice machine. This is a one story motel so very easy access for anyone. It’s the kind of rustic you expect in the Oregon outback but it’s clean, comfortable and safe. WiFi is free but the Outback has limited cell and WiFi coverage as expected. Still you can stay in touch. Would return gladly.

The outer ‘yard,’ of the individual unit we stayed in was topped by BARBED WIRE!!!! I have more pictures of this place but can only post so many…

The owner was very nice and made up for the mix up. The A/C in the room did not work well and caused a bad night of sleep. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. Owners tried really hard. Did appreciate the closeness to Crater Lake NP.

Donnie (10/5): Great place, owner/manager (Chris) is a top shelf guy. - Great location, the nostalgic vibe, and the owner/manager (Chris) is dedicated, helpful, and friendly. Very peaceful stop on the way to Crater Lake, they give you a nice little breakfast to get you going. There's nothing negative about this place.

Joy (6/5): Adequate but not good value - Friendly staff Bed was uncomfortable, door bolt didn’t work, accommodation was dated / well used. Similar accommodations are typically much less expensive.
Christina (10/5): - small central Oregon town - clean inside rooms but problem with a beetle hatching that day - very unusual. Only restaurant in town that was open had the same problem . Chris, the manager of the hotel was very nice and helpful. About 40 minutes from Crater Lake.
Mary Ann (10/5): Great location for exploring Crater Lake! Owner is friendly and helpful. - The owner was very friendly and helpful upon arrival. He went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our accommodations and even offered us a cabin that was available but we chose the room. I thought it was fun that he had a full size airplane and fire engine over off to the side of the property. That makes it a much more interesting stay for kids (and adults). This is about as close as you can get to staying at Crater Lake if you were not able to get accommodations inside the park. I loved the green and the trees all around. The A-frame cabins on the property were cozy looking too.

Leahy Pierce (8/5): Rustic, Reasonable Accommodations - My sister and I visited Crater Lake and stayed in this comfortable, rustic inn overnight. The accommodations were modest but clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and Chris, the proprietor, was friendly and very helpful. Great communication. I will still stay here again. There was an issue with the water pressure in the kitchenette, but otherwise, no complaints.

Gina (6/5): too high priced for what you get. - The price was too high for the establishment. I was there during peak season and paid $240. Outrageous but I'm at fault for choosing it. The choices are slim in this area. The place is old but they have renovated and it was super clean. A continental breakfast was offered but bagels and bread, and oatmeal were the only offerings. I really liked the staff. They were super nice and hard workers but I cannot justify staying there for such a high $. (I booked with hotels.com)
