Guest Reviews
- Neil (2/5): Shoddy - Run down derelict hotel on busy main road built around the same time that Jesus was a baby. I should have stayed at its sister hotel behind this one.
- Shrikant (6/5): Nice hotel near Husen Sagar Lake & Birla temple. - Good room service and cleanliness. Good restaurents nearby for vegeterian people. Good connectivity to almost all places of tourist interests.
- Wayne (2/5): Never stay here. Unless you like rats in your room - I booked this place for three nights as the reviews I had read were not so bad and the location seemed pretty central and well positioned for what I had planned.
I had checked before booking that wifi was available but was told upon arrival that that was not the case. There is no wifi. Expedia claims there is an option to purchase internet but that's not the case.
When I checked into the room I had a quick check around. The bathroom was covered in mold. The ceiling was black and the door on the bathroom was blistered and peeling away from itself due to the absorption for water. There was also a cigarette but in the sink.
On the second night, I had turned out all the lights and was falling asleep when I heard something in the room. I turned the light on to find a rat in the room on the desk eating away at what was on the desk.
To top it all off their were a group of men that would meet in the two rooms opposite mine, day and night. Lets just say they weren't to quiet.
The staff on reception weren't overly helpful either. A little dismissive when asked about whether there was an internet cafe near the hotel. They shrugged their shoulders and said no. Turns out there was one less than two minutes walk away.
