• Michael (8/5): A pleasant stay. - I enjoyed my stay the room was clean and smelled fresh. The sleeping area and restroom was tidy and stocked. The staff I spoke to was pleasant and welcoming and super helpful when I asked for accommodations. I did have to get extra towels for the room and the canned soda was out of stock the whole time I was there. The coffee supplies in the room were definitely something to be desired as I attempted to make my morning cup it was so harsh and only a single sugar to add I just dumped it out. Also it's very petty to charge for bottled water in a hotel such as this one most others don't and have a few in the room to take as we please. But overall nothing I couldn't deal with.

• Dilip (8/5): Decent hotel at a fair price. - It is a very typical hotel. Standard queen beds, small fridge, coffee pot, TV, and WIFI. The bathroom was larger than normal and clean. Breakfast has a limited menu but the food was good. You can either choose a breakfast buffet or order from a menu. The place has a decent bar where anyone looking for a beverage should be able to find something that satisfies them. The staff was really nice. The booking.com reservation claimed that with my reservation I could get breakfast for $1.00. The hotel does not have any such offer. That wasn't a big deal. The breakfast menu has items from $10 to $15 - so it's not like paying $45 for a bowl of cereal in NY flop house.

• Lori (6/5): Whirlpool is like a hot bathtub - First off, cost me 280 some dollars to stay there overnight. I'd been driving for 9 hours .I was so looking forward to a hot tub. the Jets were weak. So I went to take a hot bath and it wouldn't change from shower to bathtub the nozzle thing was practically falling off. The next day when I asked about the hot tub they told me yeah the Jets they're not working very well so they know that so why aren't they fixing it?

• Jennifer (6/5): I expected better - At check in we were so happy with how nice and clean the lobby was. There was access to a bar and restaurant and a nice seating area. We got dinner and later took our kids to the hot tub and pool. First thing noticed was how loud the music was playing, we could hardly hear each other. The kids got into the pool and my wife and got into the hot tub. While there we started to notice that some of the bubbles was a film of grime on the surface, then looked to the pool and it was there too. We went back to the room, which overall was clean and nice… besides the bathroom. When coming in the toilet was running and wouldn’t flush. I had to list the lid to find the the plunger cap was completely disconnected (I just snapped it back into place). When I went to wash the filth of the hot tub off of me I quickly noticed the strip of mold spots all along the shower curtain. The yucky pool/hottub water and the nasty shower was enough for me to say that I’ll find another hotel for our trips to Akron (3-4 a year).

• Donald (6/5): - This HGI is an older model. That said, everything inside needs a refresh. They offer a breakfast bar and menu option but only when occupancy is high. I found it nearly impossible to get a hot cup of coffee. The rooms are fairly quiet. The grounds are well maintained and parking is good. Location for me was very convenient and next to a great ice cream and coffee joint. Average hotel at best. Do not pay for the morning meal on Expedia because the hotel does not recognize it. Expect a $10-15 charge for breakfast
