• herbf827 (10/5): Unique Mountain Resort - At the end of a long cross country road trip we wanted someplace unique in a beautiful setting. Place is spectacular. Service and room were excellent. We’ll be back again.
• Relax471156 (10/5): wonderful weekend birthday weekend - wonderful mountain resort with lots to enjoy. Enjoyed a couples massage that was amazing. Afterwards we used the hot tub outside to unwind and enjoy the scenery. The Grill has delicious food but we went to a restaurant down the road called the Savory Grill-excellent food. The next day we went to the mountain activity center where Gary suggested a UTV ride around the property. Our driver Emma was an expert and we never felt unsafe. There is so much to do on property and it is so lovely there is no need to leave.

• RML2772 (10/5): Beautiful resort with great amenities and spa - Great experience as always! The hot tubs and pools are great amenities. Just a short drive from the historic haunted Maple Grove Bub and Grill which is under new management and has great food at very reasonable prices.

• PelleasPhiladelphia (4/5): Felt cheated - I booked a weekend room for me and my family to ski and relax. 5 days before we were to arrive we got a text letting us know they were closing the mountain to skiing on Sunday! What!? I called and they talked me into keeping my reservation (but offering no discount) by reminding me I had night skiing on Friday. Well, I arrive and guess what? Just decided No night skiing that day!!! No offers of refund or anything! Turns out every single thing we asked for from front desk was wrong: they said our rental skis would be delivered to our room…rental place never heard of that; said it was best to walk to slopes with boots on…turns out there is a changing area!!! Sigh. The rooms are nice. The food is staggeringly expensive. The skiing was so limited in March we had only 2 slopes.

• Getaway68175741300 (10/5): Best lessons! Best beginner hill! - After taking a group ski lesson as a first timer (at 49!) last year at Shawnee, I was discouraged. I never even got down the bunny hill. I decided to give Bear Creek a try this year and I couldn't be happier! I started out very unsteady and really afraid. The instructor, Brian, was extremely positive and encouraging. His instructions were clear and his demonstrations were very helpful. Once we were done with the learning stations on the flat ground, we moved to a slightly inclined area. Brian showed us how to turn left and right and, most importantly, how to stop. Once we mastered that, we were off to the bunny hill! Brian came with us and stayed with us every step of the way (at Shawnee we were left on our own to try out the bunny hill). I had a moment of panic, thinking I couldn't do it, but Brian stood right in front of me and reassured me. With his guidance, I made it down safely! The magic carpet has several exits to the hill and, by the end of the lesson, we started at the top and made it all the way down. When the lesson was over, I was able to go down several times by myself. If you are looking for lessons and not sure where to go, this is the place. I drove an hour and twenty minutes to get there and it was worth it. The beginner hill was even all the way down and did not feel steep. It was perfect for learning and I'll definitely be back!
• OntheFlyGuy (10/5): Small Hill, Family Memories - There are clearly many changes that have been made since our last visit to BCRM 2 years ago. The pre-check-in online experience reduced congestion at the front desk and allowed us to begin our vacation more quickly and not have to experience the check-in madness of the last 17 years. There were other small things that were noticed and they all were received positively and they increased the value of our stay. Front desk staff, housekeeping staff and staff at The Grill all did an excellent job,as did the gal who works at Trail's End (glasses, black curly hair). Only suggestion I have is to offer more family fun activities on weeknights (trivia, beading, game night, DJ, Heads Up tournament, etc.) Another wonderful stay.
• Trip752838 (6/5): People are nice and place is lovely, business is turning corporate maximizers. - Staff are great. Love this place. But, the prices fluctuate online and fees add up quick, services become unavailable and they don’t update their customers beforehand- like no cookies(most disappointing, really), no ski rental discounts for the entire week if a holiday falls on a Monday, no late check out available. They don’t tell you too so it’s “surprise!, you don’t get that!”- never a “surprise!, you get extra!” Turning into maximizing corporate status like Breck and Tahoe. Shame really. It’s about $700-$800 a day for a couple with ski rentals and dinner- pretty pricey for a 3 star resort.
• 185kathleenb (10/5): Consistently great experience. - I have been to Bear Creek many times. This year we got lucky with the great natural snow (and sunny cold weather for perfect ski conditions). We enjoy the ease of staying overnight and skiing directly from the resort. My kids learned to ski here and the lessons were excellent. The runs are short per PA, but skiing midweek we did not have long lines and were able to ski nonstop. The resort is clean, food is expensive but good and the employees are very responsive and helpful. Recommend.

• christinelW9856AO (10/5): 24 hour Romantic winter getaway - What a great way to spend 24 hours… a beautiful hotel room with 2 free lift tickets during the week… fast chair lift lines, wonderfully groomed slopes, incredible customer service and friendly, attentive staff. Cozy fireplaces everywhere, scenic restaurant views, fire pits for s’mores, hot tubs and huge complimentary chocolate chip cookies! Treat your spouse to a spectacular 24 hour date! Say yes!!

• lemadmell (10/5): Wonderful mini vacation at Bear Creek. - Wonderful mini vacation at Bear Creek. My daughter and I went to Bear Creek for an overnight ski trip. We have been coming to this resort for many years for a single day of skiing. This is the first time we stayed overnight. What a lovely way to enjoy your day on the slopes! We arrived early to get a full day of skiing in. Karen at the front desk checked us in right away. We hit the slopes, and even though we had just had a warm spell in Central PA, almost all the runs were open. It was icy, but that is par for the course for skiing on the East Coast. Since we had a room, we were able to take breaks throughout the day in our suite. We packed some snacks and also grabbed some takeout lunch. It was so nice to leave our gear in the hotel's ski storage area, which has boot dryers, and recharge our batteries (literally) in our room. (Quick tip: bring a pair of slip-on shoes to leave at the storage before you go skiing, so you don't have to walk back to your room in your socks.) After we could ski no more, we relaxed in the outdoor hot tub. We had dinner in our room and then went down to The Grill for dessert and to watch the hockey game. I recommend the apple dumpling à la mode. Our plan was to take advantage of the early lift access for hotel guests, but we slept in. Overall, we had a great trip and plan to make it a yearly visit.

• lindseygE6274IV (6/5): Not worth the money to stay overnight. - A group of 12 booked three rooms for one night. We spent close to $1,000 total. For that amount of money, we should not have had the issues we did. The eating situation here is absolutely awful. We had lunch at the cafe that took an hour to get. It was barely edible. We decided to let that go and see how the rest of our stay went. Tubing was fun! The lines weren’t terrible (Jan 1, though when we left the next day the parking lots were significantly fuller then when we arrived, so I think we picked a good day). Dinner at the Grille was TERRIBLE. Let’s start before we even arrived. We tried getting reservations for days and days. Since we were a group of 12, it had to be done by phone. No one answers and the mailbox is full. I finally had a front desk clerk send an email to the restaurant to call me. We made our reservation and asked for a window seat. He said he had a perfect table to accommodate. When we arrived, we were stuck near the kitchen where it was freezing with zero view of any windows. We ordered apps and kids food and said we’d put our entrees in when the apps arrived. We didn’t expect apps to take an hour. So, when we put our dinner order in, that took another hour to come out. The restaurant had half of the tables empty. 2.5 hours for dinner is ridiculous. And all of our food was cold. Even the soup. The ribs were rock hard that you couldn’t pull them apart. The cucumbers and carrots that came with the gyro were rotten. The $17 Brie had no flavor. We had to ask our non-attentive server for bread and butter despite watching her pass this out to her other tables. Never came back for drink orders, so had to go to the bar to order. It was 100% not worth the $$. They want to portray that they are a high class restaurant and fail in so many ways. I’d recommend driving off of the resort for dinner. Or bring a crock pot and make your own dinner in the room. The outdoor pool was lovely and clean. The indoor pool was just okay. The rooms were nice. Had kcup machines with coffee and hot chocolate pods. Our shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles fixed to the shower wall. Two were totally empty. Beds were comfy. It would have been nice if they had extra blankets because the room was pretty cold and would not go above 65. The comforter was not thick, so we slept fully clothed.

• X2604NXnathank (2/5): Poor cleanliness, amenities, and general operations - We stayed 2 nights and had adjoining rooms. Our rooms were visibly dirty at arrival. Food and trash (french fries and half eaten Slim Jim's) on the floor. The sinks and mirrors were dirty. Visible dust on most surfaces. The furniture was visible dirty as well. I notified the front desk and they sent housekeeping, who did a quick mediocre job. I asked to speak to a manager and the front desk said they would leave a note. The manager never followed up. The fitness center’s treadmill was out of order and the cleaning wipes were empty for our whole stay. The outdoor heated pool was closed. Both of the outdoor hot tub’s jets were broken. The rooms were very noisy from the footsteps above. Checkout was crowded due to people checking in early and using all of the luggage carts. No carts were available during our 11am checkout. For the cost, the experience was disappointing.

• robynjasko (10/5): Our mountain home away from home - We absolutely LOVE Bear Creek! We’ve been coming here for years, and we’re so lucky to live just 20 minutes away—it truly feels like our mountain home away from home. We visit every season and there’s always something amazing to do. My son is obsessed with paddle boarding, swimming in the pool, and relaxing in the jacuzzi, while I can’t get enough of the hiking trails and finishing the day at The Trails End Grille. The new vegetarian options are so good (thank you, Bear Creek!) and my son devours the kids’ menu every time. The staff makes every visit feel extra special—Jacy at the front desk is incredible (seriously the best!) and we were so happy to see Travis again too. On top of that, we love all the new sustainability upgrades—recycled paper products, eco-friendly shampoo and conditioner in larger sizes—such thoughtful touches that make a big difference. Bear Creek is where we celebrate our life’s biggest moments, and it’s woven into so many of our happiest memories. We cannot wait for ski season to start—it’s going to be amazing! Huge thanks to the entire Bear Creek team for always going above and beyond. We’re already counting down the days until our next visit!

• tara (10/5): - Check in/out is a breeze. This has become our go to for quick day/night of relaxtion.outside heated pool connected to trails end is perfect for sun/ drinks/food and relaxation. Followed by hot tub and the comfiest bed/pillows ever.....always find something different to try/ do each time. Staff is amazing throughout the resort.
• P3059XKbriannam (10/5): Such a relaxing time. - Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The spa services were fantastic—you almost forget about the pricing. We hiked, enjoyed the pool, and had a couples massage. We were a bit disappointed that the Grille wasn’t open during our stay, but that’s all the more reason to return and try it. The room was amazing and much bigger than I expected. 10/10, highly recommend.

• NorthStar11572770388 (8/5): Showing her age, but doesn't disappoint - While this old gem is in a wonderful location with views that can't be beat, it's in great need of polishing. Cosmectically speaking, Guest Rooms, dining areas and public areas need brightening and updating. Our furniture in our suite was frayed and very worn, tables chipped. Patio surface was dirty and patio furniture had layers of outdoor sediment on it. This is our second time staying here and hope there is a renovation in the near future! Service is still lackluster, no one smiles, but the work seems to get done as all of our needs where met.

• 266jpt (10/5): Pleasantly surprised, again!! - My first time back in a few years. I really enjoyed the resorts atmosphere, the hotel room and service staff!! I was unable to take advantage of the amenities such as pool and hiking...wish i had more time in my schedule to do so. The folks that walked the trails said they were a nice little workout, not that difficult. Bear Creek is in a beautiful setting!! Restaurants are within 20 - 30 minutes...our favorite was Melt at the Promenade in Center Valley...well worth the short drive!! Randalls is very good and i was told Shelby was another fun place that we didn't have time to get to. Lunch at the grill on the resort was great for a quick bite. If you are ever in the area during the summer, take advantage of this hidden gem!!

• debbiecR120KA (10/5): Bear Creek Mountain Resort is wonderful! - We love Bear Creek Mountain Resort. The staff is wonderful! We enjoy going to the spa to get a facial! It is so relaxing! We love going to the indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs. We usually eat in both The Grille and Trails End Cafe. Both are great. My sister and I enjoy sitting on the deck at night with the fireplace on and just chatting. Its a great place to go!
• Connector20173399299 (10/5): Couple Getaway - Honestly This A Hidden Gem In Pennsylvania. it Was So Relaxing , Great staff, The room was so clean and Bed Were Super Comfortable. We went to trail end cafe the first night and we order pizza and it was under cooked . But we ate at the grill it was so delicious 🤤. Overall experience was great

• jacrist1 (10/5): An Overlooked Hideaway - This is the proverbial hidden gem in Allentown, PA. We ate at the Grill on Sunday afternoon and what an incredible experience! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the thick, juicy, prime rib and especially liked the mashed potatoes and broccolini. The dish not only was attractive, it was downright stupendous! Our dessert likewise was very tasty, not too sweet and served warm. Our waitress Melinda, was very attentive, spaced her service well and was very helpful with menu and dessert selection. Go for your date night. They also have specials for happy hour with appetizers.

• Alexis (4/5): Trails End Tips Themselves (BEWARE) - Checked in on Sunday with my fiance and three young children. We went to the room and to the pool. I had to walk from indoor to outdoor pool to get towels. A family with about 30 minor children were sitting on the deep end of the pool. The parents were not watching the children. The children put the actual furniture that was around the pool inside of the pool. They had metal chairs in the deep end and shallow end that they were standing on, throwing, and playing with. It took for me to walk all the way back up to my room to call the front desk for security to come out and end the madness. The workers at trails end decided to tip themselves on two different food and beverage orders. This also happened two years ago when I stayed at the establishment. The room was mediocre. Around the pool was trashed and I only saw housekeeping go outside a handful of times to tidy up. For $200+ a night it’s better to just stay somewhere else.
• juliabU2955FF (6/5): - I stayed at Bear Creek this past week for a family reunion. My overall experience at the resort was positive, but definitely not the luxury accommodations or service I anticipated based on the cost. The staff who assisted with our reunion were very friendly and helpful, but some of the front desk staff were either not as friendly--or were just not knowledgeable enough about the facility to answer basic questions, (e.g. does the ski shop sell bathing suits? or do you have a fax machine in the business center?) about anything other than the hotel rooms. It was as if the hotel, business center, event venue and outdoor sports complex were separate entities that did not communicate with each other.
• LAWRENCE (10/5): - Water in Pool was Perfectly Heated, 3 Hot Tubs located throughout. Pizza was actually excellent. Only about 20 minutes from Dorney Park.
• 283gweng (10/5): Summertime fun and relaxation close to home - Very pleased with my recent, first experience at Bear Creek Mountain Resort. Rather than a Jersey shore weekend, we opted for a closer-to-home long weekend destination without the traffic. Bear Creek is reasonably priced, and offers a relaxing, pampered experience. Our room included an outdoor patio overlooking the mountainside and outdoor pool area - lovely view of ski lifts up the mountain. You are free to climb that mountain too, if it calls you. You can rent bikes at the on-site rental shop for the trail or go by foot; you can paddle boat or kayak or fish on their pond (complimentary); you can grab a drink by the cafe and saunter on out to the pool area with it, then walk down the beautiful stone steps to the lower level hot tub for a bit. It's just a cool place to stay and provided a nice couples weekend.
