Guest Reviews
- Palmer (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Fes - Beautiful and peaceful Riad within the ancient walls of Fes, convenient to the important sites and the souks, but away from the bustling heart of the Medina. Delicious breakfast (and dinner too), beautiful rooms and terrace, and exceptional staff, highly attentive to our questions and needs. Staff can help you plan transport and excursions. They made our visit to Fes forever memorable! Thank you!

- Ravi (9/5): Great location-convenient for parking and walking - Great location, about 5 minutes walk from parking. Comfortable rooms. Common areas are cold and there are no space heaters. Did not realize we had to pay by cash - the instructions were not clear, so we had to scramble last minute to find an ATM and get cash for 2 day stay for 7 of us. If this was mentioned to us during check in, we would have planned for it. Breakfast and food were great. Property helper was very helpful.
- Richard (4/5): A very cold first night. - The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. The interior of the riad was beautiful. The riad is located in a very quiet part of the medina without any obvious restaurants or shops nearby, though it is close to a main road at the edge of the medina. We did not feel comfortable leaving the riad for dinner at night, fearing that we could not find our way back, particularly in the maze of alleys in the dark. Our first room was large, high-ceilinged room on the upper floor. Unfortunately, the HVAC was insufficient to heat the room, particularly because there was no glass in the bathroom window. When we complained the next morning, we were moved to a smaller, well-heated room, Though we had paid for what was described as a luxury room (it was supposed to have a separate sitting area, an additional bathroom and a view, though it did not), there was no adjustment of the price. Breakfast was in off the central courtyard, which was cold in December.

- Olivier (10/5): -
Niets
- ENRIQUE (10/5): Really nice place to stay - Very clean, nice rooms. Location very convenient to explore the medina but also to get out elsewhere. The terraces are very nice and quiet and an excellent space to spend the evening. They have an amazing view of the medina. All the staff was great, they were very kind, attentive and welcoming and they were also very understanding with the eventualities that emerge when you travel with small kids (5 and 7). I fully recommend Riad Letchina.
- Maffucci (8/5): -
Mal hier. Sehr schöne und tolles grosses Riad...Sauber, sehr gutes Frühstück und hilfsbereites und herzliches Personal. Wir kommen wieder.... ---
- Denis (9/5): -
- Radoslaw (8/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): Prachtige Riad in Fez met heel aardig personeel 🥰 - Het personeel was voortreffelijk ❤️heel aardig wij voelden ons thuis.
- Fabio (9/5): - Riad in posizione comoda e silenziosa
- Francesco (10/5): -
- Mara_D.
- Aliasghar (10/5): - We visited in the last week of August as a family vacation (4). Riad Letchina was a beautiful experience, from the service to the food and the exquisite architecture. Totally recommend the in house cooking by Fatema, absolutely delicious.
- Marc (10/5): -
- Eddie (8/5): Great quiet place - Stay was great room was nice breakfast was great best breakfast in 3 stays around Morocco. the Ryad was in the Medina however a very sleepy part which took about 10 to 15 minutes to get to where the shops and restaurants were located
- Marc (10/5): TRACTE FAMILIAR I ALLOTJAMENT DE 10 !
I l’habitació està molt ben refrigerada i es molt comoda. El Said i el seu treballador son grans persones !
- simone (10/5): Consigliato! - riad stupendo, colazione buona, host gentile e disponibile.
- Aurelio (10/5): - Staff molto gentile.
- Valdimar (10/5): Exstremely pleasant stay that filled me with a deep sense of appreciation and thankfullness. - I liked the hospitality of all the saff. Their true friendliness, and willingness to assist us in every possible way, so that we, the guests, could really feel that we were welcomed to their place (the Riad). When you leave the Riad Letchina, you have the feeling that you have gained new friends that would more than gladly receive you again, should you decide one day to visit Fez again in the future. The wifi
- Letizia (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, I appreciate they served us the breakfast very early in the morning as we had a transfer to another city.
- Nazmin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Convenient. Exactly what we were looking for. - The Riad was located on a quiet street. There was a five minute walk to the more active parts of the medina. The Riad was beautiful and very peaceful. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a roof top deck and other spaces to hang out in if you wanted to get out of your room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager arranged several last minute tours for us, which made our time in the city much more interesting. It was super convenient to eat dinner at the Riad Letchina and the food was pretty good. They have a laundry service for those needing to wash clothes. Overall, I would definitely stay there again. If you have difficulty walking up and down stairs, this Riad might not be right for you.
- Craig (10/5): interesting - Very interesting. Provided a meal onarrival at 8:30 pm - very kind. enjoyed a lot.
A riad is sort of a home or bed and breakfast - not a hotel
very characterful.
felt safe.
thanks
- Alessandro (10/5): Exceptional - This is our second stay at Riad Letchina. We really like the interior, the lovely terrace and the amazing staff. The location is also very convenient, at the edge of the Medina.
- Roberto (10/5): - Todo fenomenal.
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place! Very beautiful! Location, decoration, terrace - all is great!
- K (9/5): Superb - Said was very helpful to assist us on everything. The services are good.
- Andrius (9/5): Parking - They can provide secure garage parking nearby for extra 4-5 Eur what is big bonus traveling by motorbike to Fes.
- Silvia (6/5): Expected better place - Staff was very helpfull. Bathroom outdated. In general, cleanliness less than desired.
- Luiz Cesar (8/5): GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY CLOSE TO THE MOSQUEE - Very kind staff that gave me all the support, informations and very cool reception with a good mint tea. The parking is on the street but easy to find place to park. Also a good location and in 10/15 minutes walk youbare on the medina. Could improove the bathroom comodities and also blankets and towels could be improoved but the values benefit is real good and fair. Nice rooftop view also
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Andreea-bianca (8/5): Very good - The riad looks just like the photos. It was comfortable and had good facilities. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea, and the breakfast was very good. Fatima and Rashid, who work there, were so nice, welcoming, and helpful! There was mold in the first room we stayed in.
The owner is friendly but seems focused on making extra money. He tried to push a 40-euro per person Medina guided tour, claiming we would definitely get lost and making it seem like things would be very difficult, yet he offered us a free map of the city and marked our Riad. He also tried to push a 100-euro trip to Chefchaouen when he learned we were going there next. Be cautious—these prices are 4-5 times higher than what you’d pay for tours online or a bus to Chefchaouen. Do your research first.
- Alessandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amal (9/5): Superb -
- Attila (10/5): Really nice and authentic moroccan Riad, thanks - Very nice personel, helpful by find the safe, cheap parking very close, thanks! Very helpful idea, to paint the way to Riad Letchina on the walls from the market. Beautiful, good equipment Riad , authentic moroccan, many good ideas, f.e. moroccan black soap in the bath. Simply a little palace. Nice terasse. Special thanks for the guy, which organise for us parking , serve a rich breakfast, and was very helpful.
- Maria (10/5): Wonderful - We were dropped off by our driver and met by a person from the hotel who escorted us to the Riad. We were welcomed with Mint Tea and given the option to have dinner. The Riad also has the ability to book tours with the Medina of Fez with experienced guides. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is a wonderful view from the top showing just how complex the Medina is. The host was so kind and welcoming and helped my mom down the stairs to breakfast. This is an excellent place to stay in Fes, and I would highly recommend it. Thank you so much!
- Annette (10/5): - A beautiful Riad with a great view of Fes. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. They assisted in getting me transportation and answered all questions that I had.
- Wayne (10/5): friendly staff and clean room - breakfast and staff is friendly, room is clean and view is good give details instruction for how to get there. Google map is not working in fez
- Oleg (10/5): I highly recommend to stay here - The hotel is amazing! It looks really interesting. There are many interesting interior details. I highly recommend staying here.
Medina is nearby, and that is another advantage.
The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Thanks a lot!
- Henrik (10/5): Great place to stay in the Fez medina - Great location in the Medina. Friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast. Booked great tour to Volubilis and Meknes.
- Panagiotis (9/5): Superb - Amazin place in the medina. Nice breakfast, clean hotel and nice location, 15mins walk from the shopping área. Very helpful staff
- Passang (10/5): Exceptional - The Riad was beautiful , the best part was the sunrise from the rooftop .
The staff were very helpful and friendly .
Good breakfast and warm rooms with heating . None about the Riad but we were late reaching the Riad from the Sahara dessert so the medina streets seemed a bit intimidating but had no probelms at all . When people approach just say LaSukran and smile .
- Corneliu (10/5): Fantastico ! - The Riad was on a pefect location. The staff was extremely pleasant, with a warm touch.
- Joseph (10/5): Great staff - We were very happy with our stay and was met at the train station by Said. Checkin was very simple and Rashid carried our luggage to our roof top apartment, 52 steps up. Riad is on a quiet street no vehicle/scooter traffic. Dinner was very delicious upon arrival at a fee. Courtyard area is very nice and relaxing. No restaurants close by so this meal hit the spot. We were warned beforehand to be on the lookout for fraudsters on the train here from Marrakech, we encountered one that we had to say no to his invitations to help us, they look and initially act like normal passengers. Said and Rashid were both up at 4 am our day of departure to provide us some coffee and ride to the airport.
- Cems86 (10/5): Exceptional - the staff are friendly and helpful, nice breakfast, amazing terras view
- Richard (10/5): Incredibly beautiful, hidden paradise, rich history, incredibly accommodating and welcoming staff. - Oh this was one of the most beautiful places we stayed at in Morocco. It was built in the 11th century!! The architecture is incredible, beautiful, magnificent. Having breakfast and dinner in the common area felt so luxurious, and at the same time, it felt like being cared for in a home. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and took care of everything. They even gave us a driving tour of Fez on our last few hours of the trip. They set everything up for us, made sure our travel to the airport went seamlessly. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were incredible in their own right. One had large vast and detailed ceilings and a private common area (it seemed suited for a group or a family) the other room had a beautiful bathroom and felt like a private getaway. The common area has a pretty garden, an area behind two large arches for coffee, tea, and lounging. It was centrally located in Fez, so everything was walkable. You will definitely get lost in the winding streets and alleys of old Fez, and the staff were helpful navigating that. We felt safe, taken care of, comfortable, and we left wishing we had more time to spend here.
- Deanna (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay
- Priscilla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesca (10/5): Exceptional - Very kind stuff, they welcomed us with traditional Moroccan mint tea and they helped us to arrange
transportation and activities in the city. Breath taking terrace and internal Garden!
- Victoria (10/5): Authentic Riad in Fes - It was a splendid little Riad tucked away down a tiny alleyway in the old town. Difficult to find without help. We hired a man with a luggage trolley to guide us which I’d really recommend. The accommodation and breakfast were both exactly what we’d hoped expected. Egg, bread and cake - along with jams and marmalades served with plenty of coffee. Only slight niggle was that I’d inadvertently booked for one person, not a couple. When I realised this I got in touch and corrected my mistake. The manager said this wouldn’t be a problem and he’d be happy to welcome him. But when we arrived there was apparent consternation about the extra person and a demand for more money (150 DAR) to cover the extra breakfast. It would have been preferable to have been told about this in advance. But as I say - only a minor annoyance.
The staff were also good enough to arrange a taxi to take us to the train station.
- Catherine (10/5): A lovely stay - What a beautiful place! Delightful shared spaces and room. The staff were lovely, with a great breakfast. Said was a great guide for a day to Volubilus, and was generously responsive to our request to see/buy some leather goods by the tanneries, and see a ceramics factory. In a regular neighbourhood:-) Nothing
- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Beautiful, peaceful riad in the medina - a great place to come back to after exploring Fes! Very pretty courtyard where breakfast and dinner are served and our room was lovely. The only negative was the orange juice wasn't freshly squeezed which was unusual in Morocco
- Delena (7/5): Good -
- Cesar (9/5): Superb -
- Youlia (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- C (8/5): Very good -
- Roeland (8/5): Very good -
- Knut (10/5): - The riad is beautiful. Our host gave us excellent suggestions as to what to do and helped organize trips for us. The breakfast was delicious.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - The host was exceptional! Every detail of our stay was to perfection! Large and comfortable accommodations and delicious breakfast!
- Deanna (10/5): Loved it! - Service was perfect. We felt like we were elite guests.
- Stephane (9/5): All good. You get exactly was was expected. Merci. -
- alejandro (10/5): - first, the best asset are the staff. there are there for you to help you with everything, the property is located in a quiet street, in the medina 10 minutes walk from the blue gate. The rooms are in good size, but you need to use steep and narrow steps to get to the room (the staff will help you the luggage) they will arrange tours for you as well pick up from the train station and airport. The breakfast is good, but if you stay for long time, can be the same every day
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was kind and professional, extremely nice! Rashid was GREAT! The location was fantastic. Very quiet place to relax in. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast very good!
- Chiheb (7/5): Good - The stuff members were very polite and friendly
One stuff members named "Rachid" was exceptionally helpful and friendly
The breakfast was good and delicious
They helped to arrange a taxi to pick me up from the airport
- Jviccars (7/5): Exploring Fes - The property was lovely, as was our room. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The breakfast was delicious and generous. We did not like the tour that was arranged for us through the staff at the property. It completely soured our impression of our stay. We had traveled from Australia to enjoy the culture but found ourselves at the centre of a money making rort. I would highly recommend declining the offer of a tour that simply appears to be a way to extort money. The tour guides take you to places that charge 10 times more than you should be paying and that is after you negotiate down by half of the original asking price. It really is a cruel way to treat guests. Check reviews before going on any tours in Fes.
- Shantel (10/5): - The staff is so kind and helpful! Especially Rasheed, he was very attentive. We had a lovely time at Riad Letchina. The property is beautiful and a dream for vintage lovers. Would definitely come back.
- Brenda (10/5): Will be back! - Great breakfast and excellent staff. The room was very nice and comfortable as well
- Philippe (8/5): Very good - The purpose of this trip was to get back to get back to Morocco, a country that has a special place in my heart, thich contributed to who I am,. I also wanted to share this with my daughter the essence of Morocco , not only the diversity and beauty of the landscape of the country and ,but also the People , their generosity, to.letance, ability to care for the others …
In this beautiful and comfortable Riad, I was back to Morocco and the people of the Riad were great and helpful They made me feel home! Great performance . Thanks to each of you at the Riad Letchina
- George (10/5): Taken care of - Rashid took care of serving breakfast and suppers, efficient calmly. Was watchful if anything was needed without be intrusive. Excellent cooking on site! Management was helpful in suggesting and or booking day trips or souk tours
- Jeni (8/5): Charming, ancient Riad in a very quiet corner of the old Medina - The scale of the old Riad … the ground floor was immense & very decorative.. the staff were charming & very helpful. Very clean; comfortable beds; excellent breakfast; great views from the top terrace. Excellent evening meals. Our room was at the top of the building, several flights of narrow stairs.. just about ok for us in our mid-70’s, but a warning would be helpful.
The bedroom was a little tired: all four walls are red ( some paint peeling ), so a little oppressive.
Shower hose rusty & wobbly loo ( was immediately fixed when it leaked)
Location wise - very quiet but felt a bit isolated & closed in by the very high walls of the surrounding buildings.
- Machutmi (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (10/5): 3-nights in Fez - Great location and value. The staff were wonderful! We arrived late in the evening and someone met us at the edge of the Medina and escorted us to the Riad. Additionally, they made arrangements for a private city tour. The breakfast was wonderful and they accommodated for my daughter’s dietary needs. We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.
- Marija (10/5): Very nice place recommendable to everyone who visit Fes -
- Sharon (9/5): Superb - The manager came and met us from the car, we would never have found the Riad without him. They were really helpful with sorting out tour guides, which was really useful for us. Our shower didn't work properly. You need to be aware of the narrow staircase.
- Mei (10/5): Exceptional - Very lovely and a beautiful riad...excellent and attentive host n staff... Breakfast was very sumptious, and the dinner was delicious.. room was very spacious . Nothing to fault
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): The ambience although touching on luxury it was also very relaxing. - The Riad was incredible, beautiful architecture, furnished to a high quality full of twist and turns to get to your room a mini Aladdin’s cave with two terraces serving our room on different levels. It was situated in an old medieval medina, so very tricky to find big fortunately our host meet us and walked us to the Riad.
Did not feel that we could go out freely by ourselves without getting lost.
