- Phyllis (1/5): I didnt stay. I didnt feel safe there. - It was so filthy and a real dive. It was so bad I didn't even check in. Had windows broken people clothes hanging out . People who ran the place didn't even meet me when I got there . You couldn't find the front door. To check in. Looked Like summer ville. I got out look around got back in my car and left. I have never seen such a mess. Looked like a homeless camp. I didnt feel safe to stay. Not a single thing. It was the worst place to stay at for a single woman. Not a safe place. It shouldn't even be put up as a hotel for anyone to stay in. Absolutely would never recommend it for my worst enemy.. It was filthy, gross ... not even worth the money. I lost what I paid for reserving it. But my safety was worth more then what I lost..
- Jamie (4/5): More of a low income housing unit than a hotel. - The room itself wasn’t bad. The owner or front office was very friendly while checking in. Room was supposed to be non smoking but people were smoking outside and the smoke filled the room due to the ac unit. Being an asthmatic didn’t help. Also tv didn’t work.
- Kevin (4/5): It was ok. - Was told there was breakfast from 6-9am. The lobby from 5am-11am was empty no workers and no one ever set up breakfast.
- Michael (10/5): - Check in was super easy. Made sure I was in a downstairs room so I could see my bike. Super friendly staff. Recommended me to an amazing burger joint. I was exhausted from a long day of riding. Took a nice shower and passed out in bed. Slept great. AC was nice and cold. Checkout was a breeze.

- Jessica (6/5): - The man who runs it, or manager was super sweet. I wanted to park in front of my room, but a car with a missing window and door handle was in front of my room. I don't even know if the car works. The vehicle next to it was a filled with junk, like someone living in their car. There were interesting people outside the room, sitting at all hours. My curtains wouldn't close all the way. No toiletries given, not even a bar of soap to wash my hands. A bucket of bleach water to wipe the walls would really help. Doors slamming at all hours woke me up. It served its purpose as a place to rest while having a busy weekend and it close to downtown. Place just needs a deep clean. I can tell that back in the day that it was a gem and it used to have a pool. The road its on has many budget motels that seem to have shady guests. I hope the new management can help clean the place up. Again, the hospitality of staff is amazing, place just needs a deep clean. Expect people to be outside smoking and staring at you when you come and go, especially later in the day. On an extreme budget fo ra last minute event, it was what I could afford.

- Crystina (10/5): Clean, comfortable and excellent value! - I'm super impressed. This old motel is badly worn and has certainly seen better days. However, it is clean and comfortable. It was also cheap. The owner / manager was transparent about the condition and is getting ready for renovations. I can't wait to see what he does!

- Arthur (5/5): The motel is old, 70's style, - Breakfast was not supplied. It is 15 min walk to McDonalds. I had not good information upon which to choose. I chose on price, assuming the facilities would be basic but adequate. There was WiFi and AC, although the AC was too noisy for me to leave on at night. There were many rooms and few patrons. The motel was quiet. The fellow I was in town to visit was embarrassed for me when he learned where I had book. It is apparently in a part of town which has trouble and drugs. I did not see any of that. Yes, the facilities were old, but were clean and seemd quiet so I thought value for money. I was not smart enough to work out how to use the shower (which was over the bath). The bath had no plug. I mentioned this to the manager as I checked out and he said 'No baths had plugs' and there was something you had to do with the spout to redirect the water to the shower. I am too old to be trying to sit in a bath.

- Bjornn (1/5): I would like money back. And I would never stay here again nor would I recommend. - We liked the location of the hotel. We did like the price before we checked in. Owners told us not to book through a site because they have to pay the site when it's used. The tub had black mold around the seal. The smell of the room was horrible. We had buy air freshener and odor eater. There was something sticky splattered all over the tc, desk, and wall. There was cob webs in numerous places on the ceiling and in the corners..the fridge was unplugged and didn't work.there was little pieces of trash on the floor and nightstand. When we asked for a remote for the TV, for the tv the owner told us he knew it was in the room even after we told him we have looked everywhere. He then told us he would be down to look and make sure before he gave us a new one. We bought 2 new comforters to sleep on because honestly the room was gross and we didn't trust the bed would be clean. If we could have left and else where we would have.

- Cathy (5/5): Get shower fixed and put a plug in the bathtub. - The bed was comfortable with fresh paint in the bedroom. The shower did not work at all and we used a Gatorade bottle to make a plug in the tub to take a bath.

- Eric (6/5): - I laugh at all the reviews on here straight up bashing this place!! Yes this place is old and run down but it serves its purpose!! As in a cheap room that functions as it should. the free internet was hands down the best when it comes to the cheaper end of rooms in this town. If your looking for the Hilton experience then you will need to spend AT LEAST double if not triple this price!! My only complaint was it was a bit dirty. Better cleaning and this place would great!! Also the drugged out looking peeps that live here make ANYONE feel unsafe FYI....

- Jared (4/5): Beggars Cannot be Choosers...? - If you are expecting nice, look elsewhere. I ended up here as I refuse to stay again at a similar place in a nearby small town and other chain hotels in Salina were surprisingly expensive. The service at the Ambassy was fine. Courteous. But the place is far from idea. There were flies in the room, the towels and sheets are paper-thin, the A/C was serviceable but had to be cranked in order to serve a purpose, etc. Next time I need a place in Salina, I will look also elsewhere. If I had to return here, I suppose I might...?

The folks that own or run the place are extremely nice but you couldn't possibly do less to take care of a hotel. There's not enough room in this space to write all the horrible things about it but do not bring your family here and only stay here if it's a last resort.
- Allyson (8/5): Overall works for basic needs - Overall good price for what you get. Beds are comfortable enough but squeaky! Shower has good pressure but with no slip-guards on tub super slippery. Parking right outside door is nice. I did request and paid 5$ more for two queen beds but received two double beds… I wouldn’t want to pay more than 70.
- Tammy (4/5): Not worth the money - For the price paid for the room, $80, it was very run down and located in what seemed to be a bit of a sketchy part of Salina. The beds were uncomfortable, flat pillows, rusty bath faucets. I was traveling with 2 small children alone and was very displeased with the cleanliness and lack of safety I felt here.
- Michael (8/5): Don’t let the site scare you, it is great - I really liked the people who operated the location. It was not the 5 star inn but it was priced perfectly for my needs. Great for a bachelor driving through.

It was convenient for my stay and for the activities i was to attend. I have hotels.com gift card but was not able use it when i booked nor when i checked in. I was satisfied with the Ambassy Motel!

The front desk guy had to go and unlock the deadbolt before we could even get in the room. The bathroom was dirty. The guy had to hit the door of the bathroom to get in. It smelled a little foul but nothing was too bothersome. There was water on the floor in the bathroom but nothing too extreme. If you’re with family, I’d suggest somewhere else but just for one person for a night or two, this is quite sufficient.

Im glad we didnt catch HIV OR HEPATITIS from the obvious dried blood/ possible fecal matter on the wall, door and light switch in the bathroom. We were so tired from driving we crawled into the bed, just under the sheet and slept fitfully, waiting for morning. Not impressed.
- Philip (2/5): Squealing heater, peeling wall paper. - When I arrived, the room temperature was the same as the outside air (35 degrees). They cranked up the heat on the wall unit, but it took a couple hours for it to get up to normal room temperature, and the heater had a bad bearing that squealed all night, so no sleep. Wall paper peeling off the walls. No shampoo. No facial tissue. On the positive side, it was clean, and the man who checked me in was nice.

- Debbie (2/5): The worst Hotel to stay in - I came for a concert I decided to stay the night after the concert I booked the room and when I got there they said I didn't book the room by the time I got checked in the booking came in the room was in a back corner the lock didn't work the bed was hard the bed squeaked only bed spread on bed no top sheet room was still cold after an hr running heater I tried to sleep but could get to sleep with everything mostly the locks on door so I left 3 hrs after I checked in and drove the rest of my trip home
- Verified traveler (2/5): Please do not stay here. - I paid for this room and was scared to spend the night so I actually left and got myself a different room. I'm not a little guy, 6'3" and in the mid 200's. Twenty years in the military and have been in three different wars. Perhaps that is what gave me that "feeling" which made me leave.
- Sherry (6/5): Quick cheap stop for the night - Just needed a quick cheap place to sleep for the night on a long road trip. Gentleman at desk was prompt and polite. Room was very basic but heater worked fine and I slept well. Room was old but clean in general, however there was cat/dog hair in the sheets. No issues otherwise; didn't spend time in the town.
- dirty (4/5): DIRTY - One word.. DIRTY! This room was extremely dirty. Bed was covered in hair and the towels had stains all over them. Black grease and women's makeup.
