Guest Reviews
- Ian (8/5): - I liked the location of the hotel. things I didn't like:
there was no soap bars provided but only shampoo.
there is no extractor fan in the shower to rid of the steam.
no sofa in the room.
- HASSAN (10/5): - Very nice đ sure i will back again
- Sidneeman (8/5): Worth a lookâŚmain appeal is location if you walking around. - Good price and very convenient location to access MRT, Alor St (which is a tourist food hotspot/attraction evenings and early night) variety of other food outlets including âArab quarterâ and âokâ distance to shopping complex Pavillion but you need to cross major roadway.
Also liked location to bars and restaurants located on Changkat but this involves a rather street hill climb coming back.
Good room and all was functional. Good staff support and were friendly and efficient.
At time of my visit some major road/footpath work underway right out the front which was bit messy and access affected but works were well advanced and could be completed by end 2024. Not sure of benefit this will provide, would have been nicer to see a circular drive access by car to hotel lobby?
Would return if price continues to show benefit as many cheap options nearby.
- feezaho (6/5): Needs some improvement - Stayed here for 5 days as it was newly renovated. The room was better than our last encounter in 2003. However, some improvements won't hurt such as
1) a bigger mirror, we had to use the toilet mirror to put on make up and view our outfit.
2) small space at the toilet bowl area, people with bigger structure might not be able to use it. Let alone clean themselves up. U can't clean yourself without hitting your elbow at the pipe.
3) modern lobby area as it looks ancient and smells
4) lift needs uplift
5) 8am morning yells from housekeeping is annoying speaking loudly thru the walkie talkie.
6) iron & board in every room would be excellent
7) open up a drive thru so we can load and unload our luggage safely
- stephanieaS297PE (10/5): Clean room - They just renovated their rooms. I dont know about other rooms but 6th floor hallway is bright n th room is big n nice. It's very clean n they clean it up everday w fresh towels daily. I stayed there for 3 nights. Across alor market n closed to several malls including MRT if u dont want to walk around. I went to lalaport n mytown using mrt. Cheaper thn grab. Best nights so far at KL
- Richard (10/5): - Customer service, wakeup call, airport arrangement. everything in walking distains
- Edward (4/5): - Excellent location near to MRT, noisy loud music till 1am from KTV joints and street band performers from my room at level 6.Hotel undergoing renovations.
- Soh (2/5): Rude & bad attitude - Staffs are super rude and bad attitude hotel are under renovations very noisy couldnât sleep at all
- myra (10/5): - it's located on the centre which very convenient and the staff also very helpful and friendly
- Jackie (8/5): - Good location
Friendly n fabulous staff
- Daniel (6/5): - Drinking water was not exchange. there is only half of water left. No coffee or tea provided.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Noisy - We stay for 1 night. Noisy along busy road. Will not stay again in future.
- bestriyania (10/5): Recommended hotel near Alor street - Really glad we decided to try this hotel for our trip this time.
Location: really close to Alor street and also many shopping centre like Pavillion, Sungei Wang and Fahrenheit.
Staffs: very helpful and friendly, our waterheater was broken and they changed it in no time.
Room: spacious, clean and comfy even for the three of usđ love that they had hairdryer in the room, bathroom was clean-hot water all the time, towel (no bad odor) and the amenities.
Price: affordable, we got best deal from one of hotel-booking apps
Food: didnt try it, since it was near Alor streetđ
They also had a free tour for the guest-my fave was the chocolate kingdomđ
Satisfaction: â¤ď¸, definitely will be back again
- martinez_abby (10/5): MotoGp - The place is very near at the famous Jalan Alor and a few steps away at MRT Bukit Bintang station. You can easily reach Pavillon Mall. It will book again once I go back to Kuala Lumpur.Customer service is excellent as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hood take high floor
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place
- Abdul (4/5): - Reception was so rude When I ask him I want see the room he threw my passport on the desk and he charge me extra money. Inside the room was dirty all the carpet is dirty and smile really bad
- Verified traveler (8/5): Location is excellent - It's all about location. Transit system within 20m of front door as is Jalan Alor. Free GoKL bus around the corner, in heart of Bukit Bingtang but away from the noisy nightclub/bars.
Hotel is old but the room is large, solid walls but ventilation in bathroom is just a grill and cigarette smoke does come in from other rooms, only slightly but it can be detected.
Has a kettle, 2 mugs and spoons but nothing else, where is the tea and coffee? I would stay here again.
- Herbertreno (10/5): Nice Hotel - We arrived in Malaysia at dawn, the check-in rule is 15:00. We arrived at the reception at 05.00 and asked to be able to check in at that time. The receptionist said we were charged 1 night when checking in at that time. Because we brought parents and our children agreed with an additional 1 night. But the receptionist changed his mind and said we could check in without an additional 1 night provided we wanted to wait until 6:15. We are very happy. The hotel is clean and the service is very good. Very close to Alor Street, MRT station, and shopping places like Sungai Wang, etc.
- numberone_medanfair (8/5): You are in the heart of Kuala Lumpur if staying in this hotel - The best location (Bukit Bintang) in my opinion for staying in this hotel, near to everywhere, the room price worth money, the only weakness is the hotel is quite old, need to be renovated, others things are perfect already.
- SRKK2013 (6/5): Great location - Hotel is at a very good location in Bukit Bintang close to monorail station, taxis all around and lot of eating option. Check in very smooth. Have marked it 3 star for the following reasons_
1. Linen, towels dated
2. During check out they counted number of towels and told us that in family rooms they provided 4 big towels and they found three. We had to go back to the room to show the towels. In case count on check out is the norm they should have shown us what is being provided.
- rere78 (8/5): Fun Moment - Back to this hotel with my other friends to stay 3 night at this hotel, love to stay here becouse its an easy way to reach other place, find to get food, cafe, entertaiment and many more, just enjoy the trips..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good view, good air con, staff friendly, location convenience
- Ab sitia (8/5): - Very satisfactory and would consider next stay.
- mahersayeed (10/5): Excellent hotel right in the middle of city centre in Bukit Bintang - This was my second stay at Imperial with 6 friends and everything was spot on! We reached early around 9am and they were kind enough to let us check in early. I was a bit worried as my last stay was over 5 years back. But the rooms were all brilliant, spacious and the bathrooms were awesome especially for the price that we paid!
The ac temperature was actually controllable contrary to other reviews. And you could turn it off too.
The location is just fantastic. Everything is nearby. Grab is easily available. The only thing we had an issue with was that they keep a security deposit which we didn't know about before.
Highly recommended and I've attached clear pictures for everyone's convenience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel staff donno how to smile
- STEPHEN (6/5): - Noisy
- bernadinews (8/5): Affordable mid-budget hotel at central location. - This is my 5th time staying at Hotel Imperial Bukit Bintang and is always my first choice when looking for a place to stay in KL. The hotel is centrally located, right at Jalan Alor with its fantastic food offerings and a short 5-minute walk to the shopping gateway of the Golden Triangle area in Bukit Bintang. The Bukit Bintang LRT is right at the foot of the hotel. And there are at least 2 convenience stores beside the hotel as well.
The rooms are generally spacious, with more than sufficient space for 2 persons to spread out luggage and shopping bags, without compromising comfort. There is a fridge in the room, which is useful to chill the 2 complementary bottles of mineral water provided by the hotel. There was an issue with the water heater in my initial room. But after talking to the staff, they made arrangements for me to move to another room without too much hassle.
- Calvin (6/5): - Room condition dirty, air cond fan dirty yet making a irritating noise, few lights blown. No maintainance. The great things is the location.
- amethyst_aime (6/5): Strategic Location - Overall the stay was ok,, check in was smooth. the room is clean, but the aircond is too cold. We go to the counter to ask the staff whether can adjust it, and luckily the staffs are helpful & they came with a solution. Location is great, there is a MRT station just in front of the hotel. And there is 24-hour family mart next to the hotel. Just across the street is Jalan Alor food street ( mostly open at night, but some also open in the morning) so you would never have problem looking for food. If you walk further up then you can see Bukit Bintang monorail station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel, very close to shop and esay to find a place for eat
- punyeyen (8/5): Itâs in good location - Check in was smooth, location is great surrounding by the restaurants/streets market exactly next to Busiest Alor street, lots of options; meals, souvenirs there
Room is ok, itâs quite big for 3 peoples for us. Bed is comfy and clean. The matter is, the AC wasnât able to adjust, itâs a Ac which itâs come from the centre. If you donât really like cold room, this place wasnât really suit to stay.
Other then that, overall is good
- paolaf998 (6/5): Good location, helpful staff - Location wise, Hotel Imperial is a good choice. The staff were really nice and helpful. However, there are a lot of things which they really need to improve on. 1. Our room was located at the end of the hallway and there was no internet connection inside the room. We had to go to the hallway or the main lobby to get connected. 2. The sheets did not look clean, it looked old, yellowish. It did not smell dirty, but it didn't look clean either, so we were not very comfortable with it. 3. The bathroom needs a lot of improvement and a bit more cleaning.
- mike (6/5): Hotel meant more for clubbers - 3 out of 5 of the electrical plug is not working. The toilet bowl is too low n small. The chamber maid always make up the room ckean during our stay. Good job!
- est (10/5): Easy to go to shoppings malls. - Near shopping mall. Easy to find food. Staff firendly and helpful.
- foongwk140804 (8/5): a brief stay but comfortable. - I stayed at Hotel Imperial in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur for 2 night due to water supply distruption in my residential area. The location is perfect, just outside the Bukit Bintang MRT station (exit A), Jalan Alor, where you can get plenty of food choices & options, especially at night & of course, the shopping areas of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Lot10, Sungei Wang Plaza & Starhill Gallery. The room which I got was good, beds are clean with blanket plus TV & remote control. The bathroom & shower facility were neatly displayed but the air-conditioning were not so good, despite adjusting the temperature to the coldest, I could not hardly feel any difference. The power plug supply can perhaps be added next to the bed. Overall, it can be improved. Thanks for the stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel review - Great location and price. Spacious room for family (4 pax) room but not room for 3 pax.
Should supply supplementary coffee n tea bag n sugar.
Air con controller for room 502 was faulty.
- Yong (8/5): - The hotel is conveniently located nxt to the mrt line. Plenty of street food n coffeeshops. Staff r courteous.
- rere78 (8/5): Fun Vacation - Nice room and big, the staff are nice, we've got early check in, THANK YOU IMPERIAL HOTEL, it was so fun stay here for one night with my friend and her son, the room was so comfortable for us, right in front of hotel is Jalan Alor, always happening every night, Imperial Hotel with strategic location near to Pavillion, Mcd, Plaza Low Yat, and many things..
- Hamayuniat (6/5): Basic Stay Only. - Basic Stay Only. Rooms not spacias. No Compelementary Breakfast. Air conditioned Rooms with attached bath. No Fridge and no water dispencer in rooms. Good location near to all important places of food couts, fast foods, bars and massage parlours.
- noracute79 (8/5): Strategic and good Hotel - My friend told me to try on this hotel.
I search more information by google.
I think this hotel is one of the best hotels among bukit bintang hotels,
Good hotel and STRATEGIC Place.
So close with taxi and monorial to KL Sentral.
My room was triple room, the room was clean and comfortable.
stayed 4d3N with hotel staff are very helpful and frinedly
- mariatutyyuliap (8/5): Cosy & affordable - This is my 1st stay while 2nd time for my hubby... the hotel is very clean n cosy... for the price the room is complete with refrigerator and TV,the toile have Horse which some of the hotel don't have... n most importantly its located infront of alor street food...will look foward to stay at the hotel again once im back to KL
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel central of bukit bintang. - The hotel is in Bukit Bintang. Nice hotel however that area always traffic jam, especially during night time.
- catlov81 (6/5): Good but noisy - This hotel is just across the night market. Room are large but toilet need some maintainance. Staff are friendly and near 7eleven and KFC. Unfortunately not many halal restaurant nearby as its occupied by chinese and arab restaurants and bars catered for non-muslim tourists. At night its too noisy until 5am with karaoke bar just below the hotel. Our room was the highest floor, 6th floor and still too noisy. I wont recommend for family with small kids and elderly. Maybe good for singles or couples who want to have fun night time. The streets never sleep.
- kyra (8/5): Nice - Good location.. Easy to find food n mall..will come again next time although certain bad experience gone through
Let past be past..open new chapter by improving De hotel services and so on
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice location - strategic location near to my prefer shopping mall..plenty of food choices nearby & the location never sleep.
- J (6/5): Hotel - The hotel room has a door that connects to next room.. It doesn't feel safe even though is locked as there was once someone from the next door try to open and turning the knob.
It is not soundproof thus lot of noise can be heard in the night.
I Will not return.
- Olivia (2/5): Very bad experience - I was not happy with the employees, on the first day I was there our lights shutoff in our room we told the front desk and they laughed
- Yap (4/5): Bad - Less of parking, the room is not comfort, i can hear people talk beside our next room. Somemore outside is so noise, im not sure whats was happend outside, i check out around 5.30am, is a bad experience for me, i wont come back next time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): convinient for shopping and eating - very noisy at night. the pillow was not comfortable.
- Mandy (4/5): Average Hotel close to Bukit Bintang attractions - Hotel staff is very good. However, the hotel room is not comfortable and worn out. It is time to refurbish the entire hotel for a more pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cozy and comfortable place for a night - Good services and good location its happening place in the night and the area doesnt sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Near to food outlet. Easy to look for transport. Strategic location. Friendly staff and room is well clean
- John (8/5): Good value for the area. - The positives of the hotel are 1) good sized room that is not too noisy given the area 2) wifi was the best wifi and I stayed in 5 hotels in the area. It was about 20mbps 3) it had free parking, which is very important in the area as parking is quite expensie
The bad things about the hotel 1) the airconditioner was too cold. The dial was set on 30 celsius, but it kept billowing cold air. I had to open two windows just to make it livable. I stayed in another room, which did not have this issue, so I think the thermostat in that room was broken 2) In both rooms I stayed at the toilets need to be replaced. It takes about 10 flushing attempts to get them to flush. 3) On check-in they do not charge your credit card via hotels.com. Instead, they ask for the physical card and charge it there. This increases chance for credit card theft and is a different procedure than the other 30+ hotels I have stayed at and I did not like it.
- siti (4/5): Close to shopping malls but not a comfortable stay - If youre looking for a budget hotel and want to avoid using taxi to go anywhere, you might wna choose this hotel. Its just a 2min walking distance to the major shopping malls in bukit bintang. However, since its a budget hotel, the stay wouldnt be comfortable. You can hear door bangings and loud voices after hours. The interior is deteriorated. The building is quite old.
- LOW (6/5): CONVENIENCEďź NEAR JALAN ALOR - GOOD
- Priska (8/5): nice location - the ac machine so disttrub
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Happy n Contended
- Supaporn (8/5): - Noise from air compressor all night.
Toilet cannot be flushed
Cannot use the electric plug
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good in terms of location (strategic) - Repair / replace water heater is require. Cleaning of carpet rather than only vacuum it if require.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Location, Location, Location. - The staff were very helpful. The hotel was situated on the doorstep of the restaurant and shopping area. Brilliant. Roadworks and the new subway works right outside so at the moment a bit noisy and inconvenient. But location wise you couldn'the get better. Rooms need a paint job and carpets need a clean. I have been twice but would go again.
- Cheah (8/5): Very convinient hotel - Is very comfortable
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Book for a delux room with saperate bed but given a single queen bed instead.request for change but was not e
Entertain by the receptionist.
- Siow Har (10/5): Good value for money, nearby shopping and supper. - Room was affordably priced at about SG$50 a night for 2 paxs. Room is huge, but hotel condition is a bit old. The room's toilet seems to be leaking and the floor was constantly wet after we flush the toilet. The cistern (in room 509) was so low that we felt like we were midgets sitting on it. The hotel was directly at Jalan Alor and perfect for that night supper. It was also a breeze for us to drop our shopping bags back at the hotel before going on a second round of it at the nearby Bukit Bintang shopping district.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good Location - We were assigned rooms on the 1st floor which was extremely noisy due to food street just downstairs of the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The building was very dated and room carpets were worn but still generally clean. Hotel location very good and within shopping belt. Easy access to local food and shopping. Will consider to patronize again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Fire Exit Locked - In my book, safety overrides everything. The fire exit was locked so I give this hotel the lowest rating. It does not matter if it is a Lamborghini, its brakes must work.
- wahyuni kerida (10/5): nice pleace - location near from alor street and pavilion
- Roger (6/5): - Hotel okay but no coffee provided
- Jackie (2/5): Totally rude - Don't care about the customer's special circumstances. They laugh up and are not willing to help when the customer is having a trouble.
- CHRISTOPHER (8/5): Good for its price :) - Good value for money. Can hear sounds from the hallway quite easily, but otherwise room was decent and the location was convenient.
- dayana (8/5): - This was my 2nd time stayed at the hotel. Check in and out procedure was so easy and quick. Will definitely staying again in this hotel for next trip.
