• Violette (8/5): - The room was basic but very clean. I've only met the owner once. He was friendly. The breakfast is usually served between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. I asked if it was possible to have breakfast earlier and they prepared and left a plate in the fridge every morning. I had a selection of fruit, yogurt and different pastries.

The place was conveniently close to Ottawa city center, has easy off-street parking right on the property, nice and clean place, very nice accommodations, and excellent host. She prepared a delicious and healthy breakfast for us, and we had a great time chatting with the host and the guests. It was a memorable first time bread and breakfast experience for me and my wife.

Las habitaciones y baño fueron muy espaciosos, limpios y acogedores, además que el desayuno que preparó e anfitrión Jake estuvo muy rico. Se agradece. No puedo hablar de la movilidad en transporte público, pues estuve utilizando un auto de renta durante el viaje y en el auto todo queda muy cerca de los lugares de interés en Ottawa. Los anfitriones muy atentos, amables y disponibles. Si vuelvo a Ottawa, me quedaría nuevamente en Le Philemon. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Anika was an gracious hostess and a talented cook preparing a delicious full breakfast each day and made us feel at home. She also gave us precise directions and suggestions for bike paths. • Mara (8/5): Nettes B&B mit super freundlichen besitzer - Wir haben das B&B nie zur Durchreise benutzt. Das negative daran war, dass man sich am Eingang telefonisch beim Besitzer melden muss. Für uns etwas doof, da wir kein lokales Handy hatten und somit der Anruf doch teuer geworden ist. Man wird am Telefon durch den Eingang geleitet und alles wichtige erklärt. Das Zimmer war zwar nicht groß, für unsere Durchreise oder auch sicher für einen Städtetrip völlig ausreichend. Es war sauber und quasi alles vorhanden. Es gibt um das B&B einige Restaurants wo man abends essen gehen kann. Absolute Highlight war am Morgen, da wird man vom Besitzer bekocht. Er hat uns erzählt, dass er versucht den Leuten nie zweimal das gleiche pro Aufenthalt zu servieren. Bei uns gab es eine Art gefüllte Pfannkuchen, einmal süß und einmal herzhaft. Er hat davor aber noch gefragt ob wir was anderes wollen. Die Entfernung zu Ottawa können wir nicht einschätzen, da wir wie gesagt nur zur Durchreise dort waren.
• ARDIAN (2/5): Cleanliness issues - First time I tries bed abd breakfast, and I will never try it again. As soon as I open the door, the room was smelling too bad (urine type of smell). The bed sheets, the towels, everything were smelly.

It has excellent location just 5 min drive from beautiful Cathedral Basilica and Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Walking distance to various restaurants and supermarkets. Rooms are modern,clean and comfortable.Parking on the property. Tasty breakfast-waffles with fresh fruits and whipped cream ,coffee,tea ,juice is prepared by owner. The atmosphere is very friendly and personal.We felt as he welcomed us to his own home. It is a small thought nice and clean place with very warm hospitality in every aspect of stay.

• Katelyn (10/5): Amazing Host. She was so accommodating! - Great spot. Close to downtown Ottawa. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Yummy breakfast and we had two extra people stay with us, and it was no problem. We paid the fee for the extra breakfasts and she made up a room for them! Overall very lovely stay. Would definitely go back!
• Elizabeth (10/5): Great stay overall! Breakfast really makes it. - Pros: -Amazing French breakfasts were made for three mornings: 1. Crepes with Fruit bowl and Quiche (100% real maple syrup) 2. Large waffle with Fruit and whipped cream 3. English muffin, Egg & Ham (with Fruit & Yogurt Granola Parfait) -Hotel about 4 minutes to downtown Ottawa -The few parking spaces was enough for us (I think there were 3 off street spots). -Modern renovation and style. Cons: -One MILD complaint with our room was that the air conditioner unit was quite loud (loud enough to wake my wife). We then opted to pre-cool the room in the evening so that we could turn it off over night. -The room's TV (or stand) could be elevated (the tv stand is about even with the bed mattress).
• German girl (10/5): The rooms are very clean and comfortable - The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in good condition. It's not a typical hotel chain so there is no front desk. Late check-in is possible tho. Breakfast was fresh and great but no options.
• Christian (10/5): This is where we'll stay in the capital region - Cute B&B, close to Ottawa. The owners are amazing and friendly, fully bilingual. Rooms were clean and well equipped with the necessities. Excellent breakfast all three mornings. The owners are not in the building, but live close-by and are always available. If we're ever going back to the capital region, this is where we'll stay for sure!
• Tracey (10/5): Walking distance to Ottawa coty - Just across the bridge from Ottawa city. This light, bright very clean B&B is a delight. Eateries are close by and the hostess is delightful and can't do enough for you. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

The bus is a half block away and only a short ride to the main attractions in Ottawa and Gatineau (several museums, Byward Market, Parliament, shopping and great food) Le Philemon is very clean and modern. We would definitely stay again!

• Simon (10/5): Family run cozy hotel. - It's small but cozy, the hostess and host are very nice. We checked in late due to visit to 1000 island, the hostess left the keys of our rooms in the door and let us sleep first without checking in and pay later. One room added a crib because I mentioned we have one kid. The room are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is enough to most of people. Check out is easy too.

Owners would leave me breakfast in the fridge as I ate it outside of regular breakfast hours. Room was clean and quiet. I would stay there again.

You will not be disappointed with your stay at Le Philemon. It is a short distance from Ottawa, with a bus that goes directly there a few minutes from the hotel.

• A (10/5): Beyond our expectations. - There are approximately 4 rooms on the main level all with private washrooms. It was a very hot day and we were delighted that each room had an air conditioner. The showers were equipped with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The second floor is a kitchen and dining area. The lovely Tourquois cooked us up a yummy breakfast. The third level consists of a beautiful patio/terrace area for relaxing outside whether it be on the patio furniture or hammock. Overall it was a great stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Ottawa or Gatineau. It's only 5 minutes to the Parliment of Canada!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet and nice hotel in Gatineau - We were going to visit Ottawa and do some sight seeing. Since we only had 1 week to book, a lot of the cheaper hotels in the region were fully booked. We decided to book Le Philémon since it was on sale, although it was in Gatineau/across from Ottawa, decided to give B&B a try. Breakfast and free parking was included. Breakfast was nice, but the wait was fairly long. The room we got was nice and quaint, the only issue was the bed was too hard for my boyfriend.
• David (10/5): Exceptional Ottawa-area B&B - My wife and I have just returned from four nights at Le Philémon. We had some difficulty finding a hotel at a decent rate in Ottawa (turned out there were a number of conferences going on) so we chose this bed & breakfast across the river. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Although it’s in Gatineau, Québec, it’s only a few kilometres from downtown Ottawa and attractions in the capital area, just minutes by car and close to transit. Le Philémon has four bedrooms, I believe two with private bath, a large, bright open kitchen and sitting area, a meeting room loft and a roof-top terrace. Turkoize, our host, served a fabulous full breakfast to start the day. She was very friendly and a great source of information. The B&B is located in a fairly quiet residential area, but there is a busy depanneur (convenience store) across the street. We stayed in the room at the front of the building directly across from it and didn’t find it too noisy. Our room was spotless, a good size with two bay windows, and its own bathroom with a shower. Free off-street parking is provided, as is wi-fi with a fairly fast connection (though it went down a couple times). I would highly recommend Le Philémon for a comfortable stay in the Ottawa area.
