The whole package stands out as one of the best in many decades of business and personal travel: super attentive staff, well organized hotel, clean facilities, good food, a welcome with a bottle of cava, helpful concierge services, ... the list goes on. While all staff were very helpful and pleasant, Sandra -- the breakfast manager - deserves a special mention as a warm and welcoming person who took care of us so well! We will be back for sure.

Extremely helpful front desk/concierge. The staff providing the breakfast service could not have been more pleasant. Very nice spread provided for breakfast. We, also, really enjoyed the rooftop bar/restaurant. Great, great service given by Omar and Michael, especially. Oh, and if you do go up there, you MUST try their bravas. These are NOT your ordinary french fries. Just outstanding. This hotel is perfectly positioned to give you a base to walk to just about everything you could want. Or a short taxi ride to all of the important places. I could go on and on. Such a wonderful place. Highest recommendations!

• Littleilu (10/5): Wonderful stay ! - We had a wonderful stay at The Serras Barcelona. The hotel is beautifully designed and feels intimate and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The location right by the marina is perfect, and the service was exceptional—every staff member went out of their way to make us feel taken care of. Our room was elegant and comfortable, and we especially loved the rooftop views. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and we dined twice in the restaruant for dinner. Try the Papas Bravas! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a boutique luxury experience in Barcelona.

We stayed for two nights with our family, and from the moment we walked through the door, we felt genuinely cared for — as if we were the only guests in the hotel. The front desk team was exceptional: attentive without being intrusive, always one step ahead of our needs, and incredibly kind. When my son needed medication in the middle of the night, they went out of their way to arrange a car at 3 a.m. without hesitation. The bar and restaurant staff were just as impressive. They were warm, thoughtful, and consistently attentive, offering great recommendations and greeting us by name. Every detail felt intentional and personal. From my first email before arrival to the moment we checked out, every single staff member made us feel welcome and valued. Serras Barcelona is truly a remarkable hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Barcelona near the marina. It has set the standard incredibly high for any hotel we stay at in the future. We already can’t wait to return.

She just made us feel so welcome and even shared “off the beaten path” venues to visit. I also liked the fact that the front t desk recognizing jet lag offered us coffee before the kitchen was open.

Wonderful room with great amenities and a very helpful concierge who was always more than happy to provide great suggestions, get reservations for us for dinner and always be mindful of the family when doing so. Traveling with two small boys (4 and 5) is never easy, but the staff especially Sandra, an exceptional member of their team went so above and beyond to make then feel warmly welcome and taken care of that they genuinely missed her when we checked out. As for us I’m not sure what we will miss more, Barcelona the city, or our lovely experience at the hotel!

• M7598MXcynthiaw (10/5): A warm, exceptional luxury boutique hotel as the perfect base for exploring Barcelona - Our first time to Barcelona and the Serras Barcelona made our trip all the more special. The location is ideal setting our base in the Gothic Quarter and next to the Born and across from Port Vell with a lovely view of the harbor. The rooms are modern, spacious and well designed - we had two lovely balconies which we opened to let the fresh spring air in. The staff was exceptional - the front desk team was always on the ready to assist with anything. I apologize for not remembering all of their names. The breakfast manager Sandra made sure the start to every day was special with her warm hospitality. She treated each guest like family and looked after everything they could possibly need. She went above and beyond every day to make everyone’s trip special, for eg she researched and made recommendations for kid friendly activities for my son. Sandra and the rest of the hotel team is what makes staying at a boutique hotel our preference over large hotels. We will be back for sure!

Beds and pillows were comfortable. Good was delicious. The staff are what sets a hotel experience apart though. Everyone from checkin with cava, to room service, to suggestions and reservations for dinner were outstanding. Everyone was helpful and kind greeting us warmly with every interaction. Sandra at breakfast was particularly kind and on point, ensuring we were never waiting on anything. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to a future visit! ONLY COMPLAINT—-the mattress. Very firm/thin…could almost feel the springs. Definitely need to upgrade the mattresses or invest in memory foam mattress tops.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived with champagne and chocolates. They provided local sites to tour while we waited for our room to be ready since we arrived early. The restaurant was also lovely with very good food and cocktails. The most special memory I have of our stay were my interactions with Sandra who is the manager of the breakfast service. She went above and beyond to make sure we will well cared for during our stay.

The hotel is lovely with insanely comfortable beds and high quality linens. The rooftop bar is a little piece of heaven at sunset, highly recommend on a sunny day! But the biggest wow factor comes from the thoughtful, professional, and warm hearted staff that really puts Serras ahead of all others in Barcelona. They pay close attention to their guests and ensure each has a wonderful stay. There are so many special little touches at Serras that truly make it a delightful stay each time. While all the staff were outstanding, I want to especially thank Sandra, the breakfast manager, for her kindness, outstanding service and making each morning a 5 star start to the day! From the very first moment — assistance with parking, the smooth and warm check-in process, and the personal introduction to the room - everything felt genuinely attentive and heartfelt. The location is outstanding, perfectly positioned to enjoy the city. The breakfast was exquisite: beyond excellent taste, even the simplest omelette was presented as a small work of art. A truly memorable stay. I will definitely return. What didn’t I like? That we stayed only two nights. Next time, we will definitely come for much longer.

They are quiet, exceptionally comfortable, and provide a perfect retreat after a busy day exploring the city. Sleep quality and attention to detail are outstanding. The hardest part of staying here is leaving. I am already looking forward to returning next year to reconnect and continue the journey. Serras Barcelona has become my favorite hotel in the city, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a refined, heartfelt stay.

• aandbtravel (10/5): 5 Star Boutique with 6 Star Service - Just spent three days at this beautiful hotel and it was the perfect way to begin our holiday in Spain. It is a gorgeous, design forward boutique that is absolute perfection. The rooms are pin drop quiet, stylish and comfortable. We had a Jr. Marina Suite and it was superb. As good at the physical plant is, service was even better. Of special note were Robert at the front desk and the ever present and pleasant Alejandro. Both of these gents are true hospitality all stars. Oh, and the restaurant.... sublime Michelin quality dining which will be a separate review. We recommend this property without reservation.

From check-in to check out, we were treated with such kindness. The rooms are small, but extremely clean and very well appointed in the hotel itself is extremely quiet. It’s a great location but you’re not in the center of things which makes the experience of being in Barcelona even better! Sandra, who is the breakfast manager is wonderful and so kind. She is part of the reason that we will probably be coming back to Barcelona and definitely back to the hotel. I noticed that she treated every single guest with the same kindness, and it was genuine! I cannot say not great things about this place and if you stay here, you will not be sorry! You’ll be the opposite of sorry you’ll be thrilled! I would recommend this hotel to any friends or family that we’re traveling to Barcelona.

They made the begin of our honeymoon really special and the location was amazing! The room we were in was really noisy and you could hear the other room next to us, which was a family with younger kids. They also put us next to a staff elevator and it was really noisy through the day and the morning. That was my biggest complaint from the trip.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The beds are comfortable - always important! The rooftop bar and restaurant is a quiet oasis from hustle and bustle of the city. В период проживания весь персонал заботится о том, чтобы было комфортно. Отель новый. В номере современная мебель, сантехника. Очень удобная и комфортная кровать. Услуга подготовки постели ко сну, приятные десерты на ночь. Вода в бутылках пополняется в номере без ограничений. На крыше отеля имеется бассейн и лежаки для загара. Также неплохой бар и вкусные закуски. Завтрак оплачивается отдельно, 36 евро. Но он стоит своих денег, очень вкусные и качественные продукты на шведском столе. Имеется возможность завтрака по меню. Это был единственный возможный вариант. Окно и балкон выходят прям в окна соседнего здания. Было не очень комфортно. На балконе также не очень комфортно находиться. Нет ни столика, ни стула. Ну и на балконе можно легко рассмотреть окна соседнего здания напротив. Практически на расстоянии вытянутой руки. В следующий раз буду заказывать только чью-то с балконом и видом на порт.

It is in a great location with the best rooftop views - where we enjoyed drinks every night! Sandra, the breakfast manager, went above and beyond to get to know us and anticipate our needs. It was home away from home!

Also, we expressed a preference for ice in the room daily, but instead were told to call the front desk when we needed. A problem, because the phone in our room did not work. Staff at front desks were helpful and courteous in every instance, including check-in.
• fsdukejr (10/5): When only the very best will do but at a price - We booked the Serras based on the glowing review from a family member. The cost per night is more than twice what we would normally pay for a hotel in a similar city but we decided to splurge. The location is perfect near the yacht harbor and surrounded by small tapas restaurants. Room 205 was spacious, quiet, and well appointed. A/C could cool it to any desired temperature and wifi was fast and reliable. Everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Service was exceptional, from the sparkling wine offered at reception when we checked in to the person who always jumped up to open the heavy front door. The view from the rooftop garden was stunning and there was a pool up there that we did not use. Nightly turn down service, like on a cruise ship, left a small sweet for us every night. The breakfast buffet included sweets cold meats and cheeses and cooked to order selection. Service was more like a restaurant than a buffet. We stayed 3 days and almost immediately, the staff called us by name. We are not sure we would spend that much again but we have no regrets from our wonderful stay at the Serras.
• HG2000_12 (10/5): Oh WOW - Well this is a first for me. This hotel is so good I'm actually writing this review after the first night. From the moment we arrived in the taxi, the customer service is off the scale, the staff are so friendly and helpful, we felt so at home and relaxed from the moment we arrived. Cava and chocolates during check in . We have stayed at good hotels all over the world and nowhere has made us feel so welcome as the Serras. The rooftop bar and restaurant is amazing, Lunchtime, Sarah was brilliant, not only with the service but also suggesting great wines to pair with our tapas and the bar service in the evening is up there with the best you'll find, anywhere. The turn down service is on par with anything you will get anywhere on the planet. We visit Barcelona fairly regularly, and the Serras has become our new home from home. If you ever find yourself in Barcelona. Treat yourself to a stay at the Serras, you won't regret it.
• Kpatton19 (10/5): Amazing hotel - FANTASTIC staff - This is a lovely boutique hotel in a wonderful location. We stayed 3 night pre cruise and loved every minute. We arrived in the morning after an overnight flight and were able to check into our room early. You know the minute you walk in the door this is a special place. You check in while seated and offered beverages and chocolate and a cool towel. Augustina (I think I spelled that correctly was friendly, they stored our luggage while we had a walk around the neighborhood. We booked our lovely room with the breakfast included - don’t miss this. Sandra will take the best care of you. She should be teaching courses on customer service. What a charming, lovely person. The rooms are extremely quiet and the beds are very comfortable. We slept 13 hours our first night - I can’t remember sleeping that long. The bathrooms are modern with all the essentials. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant is a wonderful place to unwind. Francisco and Marta took great care of us. We enjoyed sipping Cava and having light meals there.

Everyone knows your name and goes above and beyond with any request. The best part is waking up to Sandra, who is the breakfast manager. When you begin your day with such a positive and happy person, the day can't be anything but great.

It felt like they knew us and wanted to ensure we had the best sooo Ike experience in Barcelona. The breakfast was excellent and Sandra could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The reception desk was perfect, Agustina, Pablo, Bard and Robert were amazingly cheerful and solicitous. Robinson of FMB was also super. We will get a larger room next time but it was a very nice room if we had been in a shorter trip and had less luggage. We were travelling for several weeks and packed more than usual.

• Voyager65132943654 (10/5): Incredible Staff and Spectacular Rooftop - The location of this hotel is spectacular and the staff exceeds all expectations of professionalism and warmth. We stayed at this hotel at the end of our 25th anniversary trip. We were surprised to receive a lovely bottle of Cava with a personalized label with our names. It was a thoughtful touch. Although we did not book a room with a view of the marina, the rooftop bar area is incredible. We could not get enough of that view and ate dinner there the first night. The food was absolutely delicious and the Italian gentleman who was our server was very attentive. It is as if this hotel finds and hires the most charming, wonderful people from all over the world. We loved the exquisite breakfasts here too, especially wonderful Sandra who is so warm and attentive. She is so naturally friendly and made genuine connections with many of the guests, including us. Those are the kinds of experiences that make a vacation special. Kudos to the management and the staff. We chose a superior room that was spotless and very nicely appointed, although space was a bit tight. The bathroom was spacious and there were many nice amenities, such as fresh bottles of water each day and comfortable his and hers slippers and robes. Turn-down service was lovely and included a beautiful little pastry on each of our nightstands each night. The only criticism I can offer is about the pillows. We each had two pillows and one was fine. The second pillow, however, was extremely thin and flimsy. Puny pillow aside, this hotel is very special and we loved our stay.

While the hotel itself is beautiful and in the perfect location, it’s really the staff and customer service that makes this hotel so memorable. Everyone who works there was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our time in the city and had what we needed at the hotel. The cherry on top, the delicious food! From the breakfast that included fresh pressed green juices and ginger turmeric shots. To the tasty room service and roof top restaurant. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. If you’re in Barcelona, this place is a MUST STAY!!!

• Mikeshdattani (10/5): Fantastic - Don't know where to being, only positive thing to say. From the moment I stepped into the hotel the experience was amazing. The staff at the check in counter were extremely helpful and nice. The bell boy was equally nice and when we refused the welcome drink as were tried, he told us come back later and have glass of champagne. The standard room was huge compared to any standard European city . A nice modern room They have free water in the room and gave us a free bottle of Cava. Evetime we left or entered the hotel the staff were very polite and always greeted us, even asked if we wanted help with a taxi. When any guest used to leave/ enter someone from the staff ran to go to open the door. One day before we were checking out the staff asked what time w were leaving and if we need a taxi. Once they found out we had an early morning departure also asked if we needed a wake up call. They have one elevator for guests but we never had to wait for more then 30 seconds for the elevator. It were all these small details that made our trip memorable.

The rooms offer stunning views of the harbor, and the hotel itself is ideally situated for exploring the city: stepping right outside, you can immediately find yourself on La Rambla and begin your journey through Barcelona. For tourists, this is perfect — there are two convenient walking routes that allow you to dive straight into the city’s atmosphere. The hotel itself is a real masterpiece of style and taste. The interior is designed with impeccable attention to detail: the finishes, furniture, tableware — everything is thoughtfully chosen. This place will especially appeal to art lovers and those who appreciate refined design. The rooms are extremely comfortable: soft bed, pillows, linens, bathrobes, slippers — everything is of the highest quality, creating a feeling of comfort and care. A particularly memorable touch was the welcome gesture: in the room we were greeted with a bucket of chilled sparkling wine and exquisite snacks — such an elegant and thoughtful detail. In the evenings, the turndown service was delightful: the bed was prepared, fresh water provided, and small treats like chocolates or pastries were left in the room. I would also like to highlight the butler service. The staff assisted with restaurant bookings, calling taxis, and offered excellent advice on routes and places to visit. Every restaurant recommendation they made was simply outstanding. Breakfast deserves special praise — it is personalized, served from a menu, and you truly feel like a valued guest who was expected. The atmosphere in the hotel is both cozy and sophisticated, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. If I return to Barcelona, I will definitely choose this hotel again. Serras Barcelona was a true discovery for me and left the warmest memories. -

• irish506 (10/5): This 5 star boutique hotel is worth every star! - The Serras Hotel is located right across the street from the port. The beach is in the rear area. There are wonderful restaurants nearby and the quaint shopping area “El Born” Is within walking distance. The front desk service is fantastic. We were greeted each time we entered the hotel and we were given a wonderful complementary mimosa upon arrival. The hotel staff were very helpful with area recommendations. The room and hotel itself are eally beautiful. It is so tastefully designed. We also have eaten at the Informal restaurant for lunch and dinner and it was very good. The rooftop bar and pool are is beautiful also. I highly recommend.

Check in was easy and though my room was not ready as I was early I was given a space to change and store my luggage and a shady lounger by the pool to wait. Sandra (the breakfast manager) was working in the area but came to bring me cold water and a towel then food when I was ready. She was a gem through my stay greeting me kindly at breakfast and remembering my coffee order. I got room service my first night and as I was tired from the journey I failed to check that what I ordered was vegetarian. I did not notice until the person who delivered it left so I considered it a sunk cost… However the kitchen called me when they saw that I did not eat my food to enquire if there was a problem. I explained the situation and that it was my fault as I did not ask or inform them I am vegetarian. They kindly made me a custom version of the food and the chef himself brought it to my room! Everyone I encountered was kind and helpful. Highly recommend!!!

The hotel is very nicely decorated, rooms are spacious, new & very clean. When we arrived we were welcomed by a drink and warm wonderful staff that went out of their way to welcome us. In our room there was a bottle of champagne and bottles of water for us. It’s these kinds of details that make a big difference. There is a very nice rooftop bar & restaurant & a small splash pool. We had 2 dinners up there and they were very good! So nice to sit outside and enjoy the views. The breakfast too was perfect, & nicely presented & once again great service. I have to give a shout out to Elizabeth the asst manager who went above and beyond to help with dinner reservations for our next stop on the Costa Brava. Honestly I can’t say enough about the staff, so friendly & helpful. It’s a great hotel.
