Guest Reviews
- Molly (8/5): Good deal for 1 night on our trip - Great location compared to local restaurants and allowed us to get back on the road easily to Death Valley. We had 2 rooms and they were close to each other (separated by one room). WiFi was good and strong while we were there. The guy checking us in was nice It got pretty sketchy after dark. The bed and pillows weren’t great. Our neighbors in between rooms seemed to wake up just as we were going to bed (9-10pm) and were loud. Neighbor above us got up at 3:30am and was loud.
- candace (10/5): I slept in comfort after a long, hot drive. - Lots of fresh juices. Close to the best restaurants so you can walk. Very nice manager. Super quiet and clean. Beds are comfortable. 95 outside but 72 inside. Reasonable rates. My fave in Winnemucca.
- Sharon Y (8/5): Very quiet. - It was close to places to eat and casinos. oh
- Gordon (8/5): It was comfortable enough and the staff I meet was very helpful. - The location was good and it was a nice large room. Even with two queen sized beds there was plenty of space. Even the bathroom was large? My biggest issue was the shower. I had a hard time finding that comfort spot between scalding and freezing.
- Frederick (8/5): -
- Ken (10/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): It was a good stay and convenient. -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Athena Rudd (7/5): - I really appreciated the grab & go breakfast. Convenient and good assortment. It's an old, rundown place. But the price was right.
- Zenodie (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): This was comfortable stay with an excellent TV, Liked the soft comfortable recliner chair. - Location was excellent. people that ran the hotel seemed more than friendly. Room was surprisingly clean and spacious. Good value for your money as they even had a breakfast. Toilet was slow to flush.
- Peter (8/5): - Although a "dated" looking property - room was clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was better than most hotels that include in their amenities including several protein options. A good "value" option for an overnight stay
- karen (10/5): Perfect little Inn to stay in Winnemucca for a stopover. - This little Inn is older but very clean inside. The towels and sheets are laundered well and the towels are fluffy and soft. It is inexpensive and quiet. It is a perfect stopover when I am traveling to Idaho. I have stayed here frequently..the gentleman who runs the Inn is very kind and tries to be accommodating.T It has always suited my needs. I don't have any dislikes. There is coffee and usually some fruit or Danish in the morning.
- Janeen (10/5): - Easy check in..bed comfortable. Dog Friendly.Older building.I like parking right in front of room. Makes it easier with the dog. Ok for an overnight stay. Quiet
- Melissa (2/5): Not worth it - This hotel is not a good place to stay, ice machine was broken, tv was broken. A bandaid was covering the peep hole. The person that checked us in and out and was less than friendly. Oh and the free breakfast was a joke, it was stale and not good.
- Stevew00t (7/5): Maybe I'd check out a different place. - Central location in walking distance to all things "downtown". Parking right outside the room, a plus when you are on a motrcycle. Staff interaction brief and to the point. Beds comfortable enough. Fridge worked, so room for the meds. It ain't the prettiest place. The shower had separate valves for hot and cold. The hot water pressure was pretty mild and it took some jiggling to get a decent shower in the tiny stall. Most of the lot full with contractor trucks who were all gone early in the AM.
- Holly (5/5): -
- Ewa (8/5): Niewielki motel tuż przy trasie. Nie jest najnowszy i przydałoby się odświwżenie, ale było czysto, wygodne łóżka i jak d - Lokalizacja, śniadanie
- MICHAEL (6/5): don't bother - owner was not pleasant at all, if wasn't so late would have cancelled, 6pm. He could not find reservation then complained about a lot of things, finally get to my room and smoke detector kept chirping. I went back up, said he didn't have maintaince and that was it, I had to disconnect, not even coffee in morning, pay a few bucks more and go elsewhere, i should have
- James (6/5): OK for a one night stay - Just a stopover en route to Tahoe. Kind of rundown, but ok for one night. Room was quiet and comfortable, but but bathroom door damaged, the shower leaked, and the wifi was terrible.
- Mel (8/5): Nice, clean, comfortable!! - Nice clean comfortable room For the price it's great!
- Kitti (4/5): - If you just need a bed for a night, its ok.
- Debra (8/5): -
- Lydia (8/5): Very good -
- Lori (7/5): Good - No bathtub.
- William (3/5): Poor -
- Fishler (8/5): Very good -
- Roberta (7/5): Good - We arrived after midnight and the person at the desk was very nice. The room we got had 3 beds and was comfortably large. There was a fridge and a microwave available. There is no breakfast room; there is food at the reception for you to take to your room. There are a lot of choices, including microwable ones, so you can have a warm breakfast. There was milk, fruit juices, yogurt, cereals, muffins and other options available. Also sodas, water and redbull. There is free parking available. The property is old but it is kept very clean. Overall it was a nice stay on our way to California.
- Yasmin (7/5): Good -
- Terry (6/5): I was comfortable - The bed was vary comfy No light in the shower. No radio. The TV was difficult to operate.
- Dominique (1/5): Unfortunately had no other choice but to stay with everyone booked out. Beds had visible stains, door had been kicked in - The convenience. Filthy.
- Mayumi (6/5): Pleasant - The towels were clean and voluminous, and I enjoyed using them.
Location is very good. It can't be helped that the facility is old, I was surprised that the bathroom door had hole and dent, and the wall had dents, probably somebody opened strongly.
Shower room was differnt with website picture.
It would be helpful to have photos of other types of shower rooms at the facility so that I can make a selection before my stay.
There were insects in the room and I caught four of them. I'm glad I caught them before my daughter found them. I'm glad I didn't take my cats with me this time. The area under the beds hadn't been cleaned.
- Gibson (6/5): Comfortable, basic stay on the road. - It was easy to get to and the room was spacious. It has great TV service, which was great after a long drive and a 95 degree evening. The ice maker did not work. Traveling with dogs makes it hard to get to grocery stores, and I really needed ice to cool down my beverages. They don't make coffee in the mornings...well maybe one pot that is gone by 7 a.m.
- Marlene (7/5): Good - Bed was comfortable and quiet location Bathroom needs update, toilet barely flushed. There were little ants in bathroom and main floor.
- Robert (10/5): - Easy parking
- Nezy (4/5): Disappointing -
- SHAWN (2/5): - Wow. Did I make a mistake choosing this hotel. Pictures are not as the hey look. VERY DIRTY hotel. I will include pictures, and going to file a claim today for a full refund. Bathroom was the worst area of all. Shower curtain nasty and ripped, pooling up water in the shower, mold on the ceiling, dust caked into the exhaust fan, chairs have never seen a day of cleaning, bed spreads on all beds had burn holes and the list goes on. I luckily was only staying one night, and unfortunately didn’t have any other option but to stay after a very long drive. This place seems like it’s one bug infestation away from becoming a monthly rental for addicts.
- Boyd (6/5): - Very basic but pretty friendly. We were just zooming thru.
- Warren (1/5): Bad choice - I guess we got the last room available. It wasn't part of the large hotel but a small old "casita" behind the office. Tired OLD furniture. The whole place was old. Bed was uncomfortable. We would never stay here again.
- Valerie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nikki (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable, clean and a great place to stop for a night when on the road. I will definitely stay here again when traveling through. I appreciated the free drink ticket to their bar as well. Air conditioner was loud, but worked well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Needs a bit of upgrading - Very (uncomfortably) tiny bathroom. Shampoo packets had less than a teaspoon of shampoo (even my husband's short hair had trouble with that) Bed was extremely comfortable, pillows good, nice visit.
- Ginele (10/5): Exceptional - The location, staff, and room size were just what we needed for a short night stay.
- Gg (8/5): Comfortable and quaint. Owner is accommodating and personable - Owner did a great job. Fresh, lots of choices. As always the early bird gets the ICE..empty when I got there. Certainly difficult to control.
- james (4/5): - Starting with the sign for the hotel at the entrance that needs to be replaced the room was also not in good condition, damage on wall from a dog, chair with a huge stain, wall bracket just hanging, a bed that sagged in the middle. On the positive side it was clean and quiet (air conditioning ran all night).
- Robin (8/5): Very good - Convenient, good parking, clean. Need better breakfast food.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Hidden gem honestly, not the Hilton but clean quiet big rooms
- Michael K (8/5): - The room was clean and the staff was helpful. They wrote down the concerns we had about a few things in the room that needed to be addressed, helped with locating our room initially, and were curtious.
- James (8/5): - older, well kept property, bed was pretty comfortable.
- Tozier (7/5): Good -
- wallace (6/5): - the price was right. the property is old and gas seen better days. the staff was kind and accommodating
- Breton (8/5): - Shower dripped all night and took forever to warm up. There was a hole in the bathroom door and the mattress was lumpy
- Carrie (8/5): Very good -
- Francis (6/5): - Old place but it was somewhere to stay for a night
- Rebecca (10/5): Friendly desk clerk! Lots of yummy lil things to choose from for breakfast and just a cute lil place 🫶 - The desk guy is fabulous! I wake him up with my late arrival but he is always the sweetest! I will ONLY stay at the Scottish Inn when passing thru Winnemucca! It’s just SO fabulous that even though it’s obvious I wake him up, he still treats me very kind, in the middle of the night and in the morning too!!! I only love it, desk guys kindness lets you forgive anything else 🫶
- Breuch (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jesse (6/5): - I appreciate that its pet friendly and the rooms are clean. Its due for a refresh.
- Steven (5/5): I won’t go back. - It was clean Very old furniture, scratches on walls … I think with a little touch up it can be made more suitable for a motel.
- Robert (8/5): - Friendly staff. Fair cost.
- Kandi (2/5): - When i got there said they were sold out and it was Hotel.com's fault. But had an "emergency " roomthey could give me. Bathroom was dirty, shower used with dirty wet toels on shower floor and dirty bathroom. No hot water. Horrible experience
- Sue (7/5): Good -
- Daphne (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, clean, quiet. The facilities are older, but they are clean.
- Jake (8/5): Great little hotel - in a great little, friendly, town. We’d love to go back. - The only Motel on our 5000 mile/4 week road trip to include a free drink voucher to be redeemed at a local bar - adding to our overall impression of an deal for what we paid Nothing
- Kris (8/5): Very good - Comfortable
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great spot right in downtown. Spacious rooms and friendly staff.
- steven (10/5): - Good price. Friendly people.
- Robertdmchr (5/5): Scot h - Only 3 rooms occupied, so it was quiet. Bed is hard. Room very small. Breakfast not worth going to. A/C unit in window near head of bed. Can't have it on if you want to sleep!
- Chanakya (7/5): Good -
- Shelli (10/5): - Very friendly, I would highly recommend staying there
- Nasha (3/5): Why would you stay here? Go to the motel 6. - Liked the location I read so many reviews on this place, and they all lied. It was grungy and old,the wall by the front door was missing most of its drywall. There were cigarette holes in the curtain that were falling off the windows and also on the comforter. The beds were old and stained and just gross. The bathroom was so tiny you could barely do your business. I do not recommend this place. The reviews are not true.
- Rex (7/5): Good - Convenient, clean, nice people, good breakfast. Could use a little repair and paint. Otherwise good.
- Martin (4/5): - Floor filthy; curtains gross, blanket dirty. Front staff not friendly. Never mentioned a thing about continental breakfast times.. Pictures on website definitely do not reflect what the rooms look like. Rented room upstairs people were noisy and sounded like they were rearranging furniture.
- Adrianne (8/5): Very good -
- Ken (7/5): Good - We didn’t eat breakfast we had leftovers. Location was fine we walked to dinner It was fine for the price
- steven (10/5): A Winner - This is our go to place when we go to Winnemucca. We get there once a year. Bob, the man behind the desk was great.
- Fabien (7/5): Good -
- Mel (8/5): Dog friendly stay! - Great price, clean room, pet friendly, free drink coupon 😀 microwave, mini fridge free breakfast and ☕️ Parking, a bit confused and crowded
- Karen (7/5): Good - Towels were great. Room was clean N/A
- Robert (10/5): Scottish Inn, Winnemucca, Nevada - Great place to stay!
- Amposta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (6/5): Pleasant - The location and the price The ac was a little noisy
- Dan (8/5): - Refurbished motel property that is clean and comfortable. In room fridge & microwave were nice, but no in room coffee. Had to walk over to the office for that. Several dining options within an easy walk.
- Valarie (8/5): Scottish Inn Surprises - Scottish Inn definitely needs some updating - but looking beyond that, it had amazing towels, comfy beds, with real blankets (as a frequent traveler, that's not always the case). Showers are from the 1940s-50s but a simple tile paint would fix that if there are budget constraints - it's a diamond in the definite rough - but I'd stay there again :-)
- Josh (6/5): Meh - It was fairly clean but old and run down. No ice machine. Prepack danishes are not breakfast
- Capozzoli (6/5): Pleasant -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deanna (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable N/A
- Lisbeth A. (4/5): Old and out dated. - Old and out-dated. Needs to be remodeled and up dated. Carpets torn, plumbing in bathtub corroded. Not pleasant.
- Frederick (3/5): Poor -
- Ferris (2/5): Won't be back - The location The floor was so dirty my feet turned black between the bathroom and the bed (5 steps). There were bare wires sticking out of the wall. The motel ad said "breakfast included" but it only actually had coffee and pre packaged muffins. That's it. No fruit, yogurt etc.
- Kiera (5/5): Not trustworthy place - It worked for what we needed. I forgot my cash box in the hotel room (full of cash) and a few other valuables in the box. The box had my business cards in it and my business logo sticker on the inside. Of course forgetting such a valuable items that’s on me and it sucks. But it’s a private inn and I called and let them know where it was left and to see if it was found? No cash box full of money of course was found. Was hoping the location would be a bit more honest. That’s my hard earned money from a small business myself.
- Rich (8/5): Comfy beds - The motel was inexpensive and had good reviews, so this is why I chose The Scottish Inn. And, the reviews were right, comfortable beds and clean rooms. The rooms are dated, but if you are staying for the night, you will be asleep anyway and won't care.
The free breakfast is a very minimal continental breakfast, so if you are a breakfast eater, I suggest going out for breakfast. We ate at The Griddle in town and it was good.
I would stay again for the price and comfortable beds!
- Gilbert (9/5): Comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price for a night stay. - Comfortable bed, great customer service at check-in and checkout. Shower could use attention.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Family - Was great loved this little hitel
- Barbara (6/5): Past its prime, bed was comfortable - The facility lacked cleanliness. The hot water tap in the shower was stripped and so just the knob turned and no water came out. There were areas where the floor was soft and it felt like you could easily fall through.
The gentleman at the desk was very friendly. The bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but adequate with very fresh bagels, cereal, yogurt, etc.
- Donald (6/5): - Property was rundown and dirty
- J (10/5): - big room plentiful furniture in good condition.
Comfortable bed, good lighting great tv WiFi
No train or truck noise QUIET
- Upthagrove (7/5): Budget with breakfast. - Great last minute rate for a Saturday night. Easy to book while just minutes away. Breakfast included. They have a lot of breakfast items to choose from in a very small space. There was no seating to enjoy breakfast. Room is older, but price was right.
- Codi (10/5): Exceptional -
