- Al (6/5): - The view was wonderful and great access to the beach. The restaurant/bar almost never had people there so we were unsure if they were open. Room is very tight and towels were super stiff and they didn’t replace them daily. Loud music until about 12 in the rooms. It was tough to set up the transfer service too. The bus was great to use to get around. Many great restaurants nearby!

- Verified traveler (10/5): What a find! - Amazing location to rest and relax on Santorini. Staff very helpful. The balcony upgrade is worth the extra price. The hotel will arrange airport tranfer. I booked the day before my stay and had no issues contacting the property to arrange transport. I rented a scooter and rode all over the island with the pleasure of returning to my hotel for a mid-day seaside sunbed and a quiet evening despite the active,vibrant night life area along Kamari beach.
- Jacob (10/5): - What an amazing stay!! Our flight arrived at 6am and we were still able to check in by 9am! Also gave us a beautiful room upgrade and late check out. Had an amazing time here, staff was friendly and helpful and room was cleaned daily. Great location, right on the black beach!
- Joanne (2/5): - Our room was not available till 10 pm. The hotel is old and not maintained well. Our room stunk like sulpher as if septic gone bad. Broken items in temporary room. Staff pay zero attention to you. Music pumping loudly until late at night.

The service at their restaurant was poor. It was as if they couldn’t try or didn’t understand what the customer wanted. There seldom were any customers at their bar and the staff played loud hip hop rap music in some foreign language which chased customers away. The location on the beach was great and in my opinion trumps the little annoyances.

Food service was extremely slow, bar service was extremely slow. when we arrived they told us to use the beach was 10 euro each per day and next door with service it was free. Shower had no curtain and no bracket to hold shower head. No attempt was made to be friendly.

Our room was clean, however it is an older property so there were some things outdated but that is okay. It was very quiet in the evenings which we enjoyed. The staff was very nice during check in and helped us throughout the week with anything we needed. If you are looking for a budget friendly stay in Kamari, this is a good option!

The bathroom was on the small side but was clean and functional. The language barrier was tough at times but nothing that we couldn’t handle. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Nostos.

- Karen (10/5): Little gem of a hotel! - Couldn't fault this little hotel. Right on the beach with free sunbeds and towels. Thought we would miss a pool but we really didnt! Staff couldn't do enough for us and were really helpful in every way. It is situated right in the middle of all the bars, restaurants and shops so you don't have to walk far if you don't want to although we explored those away from the beach. We hired a car to explore the island and the parking was a bit scarce but we always managed to find a space. We only booked a basic twin room but it was clean, quiet and the air-con worked perfectly. Good shower pressure too. Housekeeping service every day with fresh towels. A real little gem and we would highly recommend. Also, check out the open-air cinema in Kamari. We saw Mama Mia 2 but they have a programme with other films. Lovely stay here.

I had noted other reviewers comments on the air conditioning but had hoped the hotel would have fixed the problem. I also wish we had known that when you request a room with a sea view, it also comes with the activity of the restaurant directly below. The food at the restaurant was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach is actually on the direct flight path to the airport. Not a problem for my husband and myself but might be for others.

The towels were do hard they didn’t use a dryer. They hang the towels to dry under the son so they were so hard it scratched your body. The staff was very nice but the owner is very cheep. Also they played Italian oldies music from th 70’S non stop. OMG. They replayed the same “CD” over and over all day. The worst hotel ever. BUT it’s at a very good location.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Kamari is a more relaxed beach town, and Nostos fits that bill nicely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is great, as the hotel is right on the black sand beach. However, the bathrooms left something to be desired, and the beds were uncomfortable (especially considering our "king" bed was just two singles pushed together). It was also disappointing that while we were there Nostos seemed to be the only hotel on the beach that did not have chairs or umbrellas set up, for reasons unknown to us. We didn't regret staying here, but felt we may have been able to find something nicer in the same area for a comparable price.

Most rooms donot have a view but you are a few steps away from the beach. There are staff quarters and some staff live on the premises where you can see the clothes lines. I feel as though prison bathrooms may be bigger than the ones at this hotel. Shower only, very thin shower curtain The floor gets easily wet the bathrooms doors are hard to shut windows get foggy and it can be extremely cold at night. Our room smelled like paint and also sewer at times. If you aren’t looking for luxury You really can’t beat the price for the location

- Rachit (2/5): Miniscule room with a horrible noisy bed - When we reached the room we were surprised to be alloted a shoe-box of a room, with a non-functional AC. When we complained, the first response by the staff was "There is an AC, right, we can't do anything if it's not working". After a lot of argument they finay got somebody to fix the AC. But the AC was just the beginning. The bed in the room was like a guitar, every time you so much as touched it, you would get a super out of tune music (so ANNOYING). And to top that off, the bathroom was also tiny with no ventilation. It stank all the time. And was wet for hours after every bath. We had the most horrible stay here. Will NEVER recommend to anybody.

Although the rooms were basic I must say they were the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Clean towels for the beach everyday was an added bonus as was Elena's knowledge of the island and she was always willing to help and advise you in any way she could. It would benefit from a refurb.No coffee or tea making facilities but available down in the bar at normal cost. Balcony was a shared landing and not private.

- Aoife (10/5): Great value and location - We are a young couple (mid twenties) and we loved our one week stay in Nostos. Great value for money. Excellent location right on the beach with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstop. Only 15 mins from Fira. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and cleaner came everyday. Would definitely return and have no problem recommending to a friend.

We had lovely fluffy towels and a very big comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the front of the hotel overlooked the beach. It was very close to the centre and the bus stop for Fira. The only thing we personally didn’t enjoy was the music. Although sometimes it was ok it was quite loud and playing all day . The seating outside was very comfortable but you couldn’t find a quiet place . Otherwise all was wonderful

There is a great beach area as well. The hotel lounge is a little expensive compared to there similar lounges in the area. The wifi is spotty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disaster .... never again - Room no 23 that was assigned to me was right in the front of the hotel on the 1st floor adjacent to their lounge Music played into the wee hours and you can hear it nice and loud in the room. Request to ensure my rooms was closer to my friends was rudely denied even though i had made a formal email request on March 9th when the booking was made. The rooms have no phones so connecting with your freinds in other rooms was a night mare. Wifi was poor so connectivity via phone was not effective I ended my holidays in Greece with a bad taste and promised myself never this hotel again.

- britney (10/5): Incredible staff! - Nice hotel right on the beach with free chairs (water was gorgeous), complimentary breakfast was fantastic and rooms were clean and had AC. Best part was the staff- so helpful and accomodating, booked cruises and other excursions with special accomodations when needed, and provided extensive info that led us to the absolute BEST dining and local experiences. Loved it and will stay again someday.

The location is perfect for a "beach" holiday. The room we had (standard) was simple but clean, quiet and comfortable. The outdoor restaurant where breakfast (included) was served was just beautiful. WONDERFUL!!!

Manager and everyone who works there is just amazing, so nice and very friendly! If we´ll decide to come to Santorini again, we are definitely staying in our favourite Hotel Nostos. :) It was so hard to say goodbye to all the great people we have met in this hotel, because their warm welcome was just awesome. I would recommed this place to everybody who is looking for satisfying vacation. :)
- Sarah (10/5): Well- rounded and best stay! - The hotel is beautifully located in Kamari, right on the beach with fun large rocks you can swim out to from the shore and a shopping strip right around the corner. The inclusive continental breakfast was delicious, and more than plenty. The room comfortably slept all three of us and was nicely cleaned each day by the cleaning lady! The best part of this hotel I have to say was its incredible staff with great personalities and approachabIity! You feel safe, welcomed and able to kick back to relax! Without any hesitation, I will definetely come back to this hotel in the future.

If I'd suggest any changes it would be to upgrade the mattresses, which were not the most comfortable. Overall, a great place to spend a few nights and a good deal. The staff were laid back and pleasant.

Cheap prices for a great deal, feet away from the beach with tons of authentic Greek restaurants, shops and bars in the area. Clean cute rooms, small but perfect.
