Guest Reviews
- LESBI (10/5): - Buenoo
- josmely (6/5): - El agua se fue por unas 4 horas y teníamos reservación en un lugar y lo perdimos por no poder bañarnos pero luego nos prestaron una habitación para el agua tuvimos que ir hay
- Angelyn (8/5): - This is a very nice hotel. the staff is excellent. The food at the restaurant is fresh. Clean sheets and the new floors in the rooms are great. It has seen some wear and tear over the years, but otherwise it is a good hotel. I always feel safe and the bellman will run and grab a cab for you.
- Jorge (8/5): - Breakfast is included and it was delicious. However, It will be great to have typical food/ flour tortillas every morning. Nevertheless, Staff are very nice and friendly. Any issues are kindly addressed by the staff team. An upgrade Gym would be superb.
- Mirza (10/5): - The service was phenomenal. Special thanks for the servers at the restaurant. They were phenomenal! The food was delicious too, and very consistent daily.
- Julio Guillermo (4/5): - The hotel is in bad conditions . Moe is present in some rooms
- Julio Cesar (6/5): - My stay at Hotel Quinta Real in La Ceiba was very disappointing. The place was not clean, the customer service was lacking, and overall it was far from being a good experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort or quality service.
- Mayel (8/5): - Excellent staff, clean and quiet family friendly
- Cilia (10/5): - It was a nice experience in here since the first minute
- Wilson (8/5): - It’s somebody paying for nights right? I prefer that they can make lunch available in the package because only breakfast is free so they should make lunch dinner and breakfast free as well if I’m paying $400 for four nights you should be able to be access to breakfast lunch and dinner
- Zaida L (8/5): - Nice hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): False Expectations - Let me say Hotel has potential but staff as whole needs proper training in hotel management from cleaners to Manager Daniel Amaya.
- Angie (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Nice hotel in Ceiba! Right along the waterfront. Enjoyed the Honduran Breakfast.
- Sadia (10/5): - The place is cute
- JAMIE (10/5): - The staff very friendly and the property is beautiful and clean, the breakfast delicious, I would stay there again.
- delbin (10/5): - Very nice hotel and courteous staff
- TIZBE TERESA (8/5): - Be prepare for loud speakers at the swimming pool area. Dodgy airconditioning turning on / off bottom. Food & facilities are ok. Nice staff. Next door good & cheaper food options. Caution needed if returning / going out on foot late evening or night.
- James (10/5): - Super Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Good food.., breakfast was included. Dinner menu has good variety, reasonable prices. Would stay here again
- Jodi (10/5): - We had a great stay at Quinta Real! This was our first time to La Ceiba, so we knew nothing about the area. I would have thought the beach area would be vibrant and clean, but the area around the hotel was neither. The hotel itself however, and the staff, created an awesome oasis for us! The room was very clean, the A/C was great, and the pool area was welcoming. We ate several meals there, and they were excellent! We mostly appreciated the helpfulness and kindness of the staff!!! Thank you, Quinta Real!!!
- Ramona (10/5): - It was a nice and clean hotel, I would recommend it
- Rebecca (8/5): Excellent option in La Ceiba - Comfortable and clean room. Wonderful location right on the beach. Excellent staff and service. Fantastic restaurant with ample options. Highly recommended.
- Manuel (10/5): - Staff was very helpful
Food was very good
- Maria M (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful in every aspect. Food was great and room very clean.
- Manuel (10/5): - Friendly staff, but the property is outdated, also, at least the beach in front of the hotel should be clean.
- Quality (10/5): - Pero
- Jorge (6/5): - The property is well maintained; however, it is outdated. The property needs to upgrade their payment ‘s system/ open account. One must pay for all consumptions right away making it inconvenient for a long stay. Specially when my husband and I are returning clients. I mentioned the option of an open account to the Manager; but he gave me an unpleasant response. Nevertheless, the inconvenience turned into a positive experience because I had the opportunity to tried other amazing restaurants and bar at different properties like: (Partenon Beach Hotel), Mojito and Ahary. The food and drinks are amazing as well as the ambiance.
- Mirian (2/5): - The place is expensive, the food is terrible, the rooms aren’t up to 200$… yes, if you take an extra person they will charge you for them too. The customer service is great, but the management needs to step up and realize that this place isn’t what it was 15 years ago and drop those high in prices. The beach was trashed, it was a total waste of my money.
- John (10/5): - You had no hot water in the shower for two days
- Erick (10/5): Happy!! - The best service
- Breda (10/5): Tropical Oasis - Wonderful property surrounded by lush vegetation, right on the ocean.Swimming pool is lovely, service was outstanding. Milton, Leonard and the crew made our stay unforgettable. Room was air conditioned, large and clean. There is daily room service. Highly recommended if you plan to stay in La Ceiba.
- Nicolas (6/5): Very small barhroom - I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was an average experience. The biggest issue was the bathroom — it was extremely small and uncomfortable. It honestly felt like a cruise ship bathroom: cramped, awkward, and hard to move around in. For the price, I expected something a bit more spacious and functional. While the rest of the room was decent, the bathroom really brought down the overall comfort of the stay. I hope they consider redesigning it in the future.
- Marny van (10/5): - The hotel staff were super friendly and professional. The room and the hallways smelled wonderful. I wanted to ask what was the secret ;) The bartender was awesome. My husband and I love country music and even though everything is full on Spanish, the bartender made us feel at home. One of the best margaritas I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few. Keep up the great work!
- Fred (10/5): - Nice place enjoyed my stay
- Colleen (8/5): - Great front desk staff! Had an issue with the AC and they quickly offered the room next door as well as help moving into it.
Food was average. Biggest complaint was the inability to charge meals or drinks to the room. Had to carry credit card and ID anytime we wanted to have a drink or meal.
- Julia (10/5): - Very nice and wonderful place the best staff in the city, I will come back soon Thanks. Quinta Real for your service
- Edward (10/5): - Excellent staff
- Alina (8/5): - Love the pool area
- Christopher and Consuelo (10/5): Great Stay - Front seat was very nice
Definitely will be back
- Verified traveler (10/5): Need Safe Parking - It is one of the nicer hotels in La Ceiba. However, they have minimal parking in the public street, which can lead to negative interactions with drunks from the restaurant bars that circle the hotel. Do yourselves a favor, Quinta Real, and buy that empty lot behind the hotel and turn it into a parking lot.
- Beth (10/5): - The property is very pretty!! Our room is amazing with a wonderful sea view! The pool however was under renovation so wasn’t open to use. 🙁. Beach is nice, but would be great if the litter was picked up.
- Hector (10/5): Perfect stay - Good, near the best restaurant in Ceiba, La Palapa.
- richard (10/5): - Nice hotel with comfortable rooms
- Mario (6/5): No no - The only thing I didn’t like was a bar / restaurant night club was next door the play loud music until 3:30am and I was not able to sleep
- Andria (2/5): - Parking staff were rude. Tried to charge us more for rooms even though we paid ahead
- adela (4/5): - The property requires immediate attention... Unfortunately, the rooms (suits) lack coffee makers and microwaves, making it difficult to enjoy a morning coffee as the restaurant doesn't open until 6:30 am. I had to request a room change due to a malfunctioning AC unit and a toilet that wouldn't flush. Stepping onto the balcony, I heard a loud cracking noise as the tiles shifted beneath me... Despite the issues, the staff remains exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's a shame that the property doesn't meet expectations.
- Edward (10/5): - Have stayed here about 8 times. Friendly staff who always recognize you.
- adela (6/5): - The customer service receives a resounding approval, with the staff being exceptionally helpful, especially during registration. However, the property maintenance leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not open until 6:30 am, and there is no coffee machine in the suites. Early morning travelers like myself may have to begin their day without coffee. Nevertheless, the place is secure and comfortable enough for a brief overnight stay.
- Andrew (10/5): Oasis in La Ceiba - Little oasis in the city. Large classical rooms with nice views over the ocean.
- Javier (10/5): - Very nice. Would definitely recommend
- Reina (10/5): - Great location. Stellar hosts.
- Edward (10/5): - Great staff
- Wilmer (10/5): - Love ❤️
- Josue (10/5): - Good
- Roberto (2/5): - As a person who travels all the time, I ask, as a property manager, what is best for our future, a policy that begs revolution or misappropriation of funds?. Facts, things happen, what is sad, I am reduced to write a review for Expedia, after getting an email with corroborated evidence that as my agent I provided, but they won’t help! Yet, I perhaps don’t blame them for the most part, but I have to ask, can they pressure a host by no longer being part of a policy that should consider extreme as a fail safe to make a commission? The rest I leave to your immediate imagination. If I were you, I would pass on this hotel… pretty pictures do not represent everything in life and god knows I have stayed in places that cost 10 to 20 times more and they gladly shifted days or immediately assisted based on the underlaying cause of the extreme! Like I said boycotts of this place should be considered… I would accommodated a solution that is viable, but not unresonable
- Jarol (10/5): - Amazing place to stay at
- Morgan (8/5): - Very hospitable staff
- Fernando (8/5): - Great place to stay!
- JOSE MAURICIO (8/5): - OK
- Jose (10/5): Beautiful view of the ocean. - My stay was very comfortable.
- Jose (10/5): Beautiful view of the ocean. - My stay was very comfortable.
- Marvin (8/5): - Bonito Hotel, Comodo y bien ubicado.
- Gonzalo (8/5): - It’s not a cheap hotel.
Even though it’s still the best in town:
For the price it has not been properly updated
Pool felt unclean
Had to get out
Bit pricey
For the buck
- Pam (10/5): - A nice place to relax inbetween travels
- Jose (10/5): - The rooms was nice and clean ,the bed was so comfortable and the staff was spectacular
- marlon (8/5): - Amazing staff friendly and they go above and beyond to help
- Verified traveler (6/5): Family Vacation - I'd reconsider if you're traveling outside the country and considering staying here. I do not recommend this to anyone who may foresee changes to your vacation. They will not work with you. We tried changing or booking due to the long travel to and from the airport, and they refused. Hotels.com tried calling and emailing them
And they wouldn't answer. They finally responded after I passed them my phone, yet they still refused to waive the penalties. They didn't care. We did not have a refrigerator or microwave in our room. We rented two rooms. In one of the rooms, the a/c unit worked perfectly; in the other room, the a/c felt like it was barely working. I checked the vent because a bar order was coming from there, and the filter was filthy. Lastly, it seemed like a party was taking place, and the music was blasting all night. I definitely would not recommend it if you're looking for peace. I wouldn't stay here again due to the lack of compassion. It was not worth the money we paid.
- Carmen (6/5): - Every year I booked my stay in this hotel and all the services including the staff has been excellent.
This year I have a complaint. I didn’t get the type of room that o reserved; my husband and I was very uncomfortable during one night. The receptionist did the change the following day.
- Claudia (10/5): - The hotel is clean, safe and our room had ocean view which was great! The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs.
Would definitely stay here again
- Etzania (10/5): - We stayed at Hotel Tranquilo for a weekend gateway with my family, and we enjoyed our time there!
- Edin (10/5): - Very nice property
- Andre (8/5): - it was ok, little over price for what you received. Shower was not working properly, issues with hot water.
- Walter (8/5): - Improve looks of the building
- Jonathan (10/5): Thank you, Eliani!! - Eliani was the best bartender ever!!
- Rafael (8/5): - Great place
- Donald (10/5): - A very nice property. La Ceiba is an interesting city.
- Alex (10/5): - Perfec
- Edward (10/5): - Great location
- Gilmari (4/5): - Cool
- Renan (6/5): - Breakfast was very bad
- Nancy (2/5): - 1) Room not ready on time - had to wait over 20 min with 2 year old toddler to get our room
2) Key malfunctioned, we were locked out and had to wait for keys to be reactivated
3) No iron available in the room and hair dryer died while using it
4) Restaurant is not kid friendly (very easy for them to break stuff)
5) Our room was on the 3rd floor but facing the bar/pool - music was loud until midnight so it was hard to sleep
Overall based on the price you can stay at better locations
- jose (10/5): - My family and I pass an amazing vacations
- Felix (2/5): - The hotel is located by the beach great location but the hotel need to fix all the rooms and especially the pool. The pool floor titles has come out making the floor looks terrible also the hotel had roaches infestation.
- Diana (10/5): - Exellent service and employees very friendly.
- RENE (6/5): - Staff and service is exceptional, I’ve stayed at the hotel since it was built, place is gorgeous, but it has been allowed to ditiriorate over the years, what seems like simple repairs are not done, is unfortunate really, because it’s Avery nice hotel, great location, I hope management can invest a bit work on the upkeep, it’s worth it
- ROSAISELA (10/5): - amazing Hotel and great service from the people there
- PEDRO (10/5): - Excellent Customer Service.
- Daysi Y (10/5): - I like the property.
- Saul (10/5): - The Front Desk Agents were EXCELLENT! Very helpful, courteous and went out there way to help us. Service like that is really appreciated. So kudos to the young man and young lady. 😁👍
- Yuko (6/5): - Overall, super disappointed. Especially for the price we paid.
Firstly, the internet connection was terrible. The front desk said that was because the hotel was full. I don't know why a hotel doesn't prepared it for when the facility is full.
Secondly, we need to pay a deposit of 100Lps. to borrow a towl for the pool, and they only accept cash! And they don't even have an ATM on site.I was lucky that I had brought my own towels.
The people were nice and they have a wonderful reataurant, but the hotel is badly managed.
- Wendy (8/5): - The location, the friendly staff (except the bartender by the pool) and the food were great! The entrance of the hotel looks amazing, but the rooms could really use some TLC. We were given a bad room upon our arrival, which I did not expect, but then we were transferred to a nicer room on the third floor.
- Nigel (4/5): Morning restaurant staff need replacing - The restaurant staff totally forgot about us to serve a party outside. Once complained about, on the return journey they totally ignored me (waistcoated waiters). One guy wearing a white shirt was great tho. Late afternoon staff were fantastic.
Had a voucher for breakfast but had an early flight which meant I can’t use the voucher. I asked if I could use it for the day I arrived but they have no sense and we’re totally inflexible, which means you paid for nothing.
I have stayed here several times before but won’t ever again.
- O3725SRnigelw (2/5): Be warned if you have an early flight. Tenga cuidado si tiene un vuelo temprano. - Had a bad experience with restaurant staff which was resolved by the overall English speaking manageress with the American accent. But on the return journey from utila, I have one night stay booked today with breakfast included. However since my flight is very early I will miss the breakfast I have already paid for so asked if I can use my voucher today since breakfast is being served. The staff are totally inflexible however and said it can only be used tomorrow, even though the restaurant won’t be open when I leave. And unfortunately it’s the Spanish speaking stuff that don’t seem to have any concept of sense about the matter. The English speaking staff at least understand the situation but are not allowed to do anything about it. Make sure you speak to the overall English speaking manageress who is based at reception if she is on shift. Also from the first stay when I had to complain about the restaurant service, the staff just ignore me, especially those wearing waistcoats. The Honduran waiter with the white shirt however speaks little English and was very helpful. Note: It’s only the morning staff up until 2pm in the restaurant that this applies to.
- Boncho (2/5): - Relatively acceptable prices,
- The free breakfast is basically "continental" breakfast: eggs, cheese, sausage or ham, beans, cafe and juice, same every day, at least is "included"
- Try to don't go in the weekends, unattended kids in the pool scream unbearably up to 11:30p all day long
- You can't invite no body in the room (even for few minutes) or you will face 50$ extra charge per day
- No parking, at least I don't see any. The manager usually parks his giant Toyota Land Cruiser SUV in the front of the entrance and the taxi drivers have to do complex maneuvers to be able to pick up or drop any passenger
- Eva (10/5): - Food at the restaurant amazing and very good pricing. Staff ate amazing !!
- edan (8/5): - Great hotel food was fabulous, my next vacation i will coming back to la quinta real, thanks guys. El lobo del aire from radio estereo color in charleston south carolina.
- alexander (10/5): - The room as exellent view , pool is well maintains , friendly staff, the only disappointment is the beach was dirty
- Chris (6/5): - Overall the property is in very good condition, mostly. From a US standpoint, it would rank as a 2.5 Star Hotel on the beach (but then each isn’t one you’re likely to swim on. The room was adequate, though the sliding door glass was broken and the shower didn’t drain. The AC was super cold and the beds comfortable. I think it is overpriced for what you get but it is the nicest place to stay in La Ceiba Center.
- Annette (4/5): - It's a nice hotel but I made my reservations via Orbitz and when I called they said there were no reservations, the person on the phone was rude and condescending. Also they leave music late at night and I could not sleep. The room smelled old and humid and only two of the waiters and the girl at the check in were nice and efficient.
- Jose (4/5): - Dirty room and bathroom, loud construction taking place in adjacent room even after we told staff we had babies with us. We were given a different room, but overall mediocre especially for it being considered the best hotel in the city.
- TomJohnston (6/5): Nice location, ok rooms, zero terrace service - This hotel is ok. It’s on the beach - not a spectacular beach but it’s clean and safe for all ages - and it’s in a safe area of the city.
The outdoor bar closes at 9pm and don’t expect to be serviced by any staff in the terrace after that time. In theory there is waiter service but in reality it’s non existent.
If you want to eat and drink after 9pm go next door to the restaurant that’s cheaper and employees waiting staff. It’s a 30 second walk.
