CYNTHIA (10/5): Un paraiso - A mi parecer es un hotel maravilloso, todas sus habitaciones estan a pie de playa lo que me parece unico, tiene una caleta para nadar en las olas sin lo molesto del agua salada, (aqui es salobre) el cenote es pequeño pero lleno de vida, lo que lo hace encantador. Eso si, el restaurante y la recepcion estan lejos, aprox 2 o 3 cuadras caminando y las habitaciones solo estan equipadas con frigobar, asi que si necesitas desayunar o comer tendras que caminar al restaurante pq no hay servicio a cuartos, el menu es muy basico y con precios elevados, ademas cierra creo a las 5 de la tarde, por lo que me resulta mejor salir a comer fuera, para lo que forzosamente necesitas auto... aun asi a mi familia se nos acomodo muy bien y disfrutamos muchismo la estancia en este hermoso paraiso natural.

El hotel en general es muy cómodo y se siente más como un departamento que un hotel, por lo que la estadía fue acogedora y relajante. Otro punto positivo es la cercanía con el mar, con solo dar unos pasos fuera de tu cuarto puedes disfrutar de él, el cual es perfecto para nadar y reposar en la arena, ya que la playa es hermosa y muy limpia, el mar tiene un azul turquesa muy bonito, y la marea es perfecta para aquellos que disfruten de nadar o simplemente descansar en la orilla. En mi opinión es el mejor lugar para vacacionar y descansar.

Arnaldo (10/5): Un paraíso escondido. - Un paraíso en Tulúm a un precio accesible con playas dinámicas, rocosas y una pequeña península hermosa, es una playa que no encontrarás en ningún otro lugar, la caleta es preciosa al igual que el cenote que tienen dentro del hotel. A mi parecer es un negocio familiar, ya que el lobby cierra a cierta hora y no encontrarás a nadie en recepción más que una que otra persona velando el lugar, me parece un poco preocupante ese tema pero a la vez manteniendo seguro el establecimiento podría ser una de las mejores experiencias. Las habitaciones están alejadas de las áreas donde los turistas pueden entrar con un day pass, así que tú tendrás tu espacio privado y puedes ingresar alimentos y bebidas a tu habitación para realizar un picnic en tu balcón o bien en tu playa privada, siempre y cuando mantener limpio. Caleta Tankah, un paraíso de hectáreas de pura selva, animales, playas paradisíacas y amenidades; un cierto toque de naturaleza pura que no encontrarás en los resorts empresariales de cadenas internacionales, libertad bajo los términos de seguridad pero eso es lo que hace esta experiencia más cercana con la naturaleza. Recomiendo ampliamente este establecimiento siempre y cuando tener en cuenta la distancia a la zona hotelera y el centro de tulum, en mi caso yo tenía carro y fue perfecto, probablemente sería más complicado sin forma de movilizarse.

CYNTHIA (10/5): La naturaleza en todo su esplendor - Es un hotel maravilloso, tiene una ubicacion privilegiada, su playa y cenote son hermosos, lo unico que le juega en contra es que practicamente no hay servicio, el restaurante y bar muy basico, y solo abre de 8 am a 4 pm, asi que si te quedas varios dias seguramente tendras que salir a comer o pedir comida a domicilio.

Karry (10/5): Wonderful hidden gem - The hotel staff was very informative and helpful w responding questions, it's located nearby dream resort, without having to do the all inclusive options. The rooms and bathrooms are huge, all buildings are walkable from the reception and facing the ocean, i stayed at the far end building #5, very quiet and calm. Room and bathrooms are clean simple and comfortable. The only i wish is the restaurant would open abit later than 5pm as there's no other dining around the property, receptionist did suggested delivering service available. The bench by my building is not very clean as alot of seaweed were accumulated. Otherwise a great stay, i got to see sunrise daily on my 3 days stay.

JEREMY (6/5): Outside Tulum - No frills at all. Far away from everything including a store. Taxi was expensive. The beachclub has ok food, but closes at 5pm. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but no kitchen and no grill on site that I saw. The lady at the front desk was awesome. All the rooms were steps away from the beach which was awesome. We were in building 5 and the beach was very rocky. Building 1 or 2 has a sandy beach. All in all, I would consider staying here again, but I would rent a car and request building 1 or 2 to be in front of the beach.
Tanya (8/5): Not bad. - I loved the beach/ocean front! No WiFi in the room. We decided to stay another night and changed buildings to have a room with WiFi and the WiFi did not work so that was annoying. You could tell the rooms have been recently remodeled. My recommendation to the hotel is to have working WiFi in the rooms and to invest in a tractor or crew to clean up the beach in front of the resort. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Snorkeling was cool in front of the resort, waves were a bit strong though.

The beach is very private—I was able to run along it singing my heart out with my music blasting and I didn’t see a soul. The caleta is a wonderful option for getting in the ocean in a protected space. The cenotes on the property are small but beautiful and peaceful. There’s a pool but with so many options, I didn’t use it!

Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth it - Hotel is in desperate need of maintenance. It has a lot of potential, but paint is peeling, rebar popping out of the chipped off concrete, extremely old beds and bedding, furniture stained and uncomfortable, chairs ripped, I could go on and on. The airconditioning in the first room we had smelled awful; a strong ammonia-like smell, so awful that we needed to have our room changed. We found cockroaches in both rooms we stayed in. It's a hotel that looked like it was probably nice 10 or 15 years ago and no one has touched it since. As far as the grounds, they also have a lot of potential and some very pretty forest paths, but the pool was not cleaned at all during our stay. The beach is full of seaweed and unusable, but that is typical for the region at this time. The caleta in front of the property (rocked off portion of the sea) is very pretty, clean, and nice for swimming. The cenote on property is fine, an average open-air cenote.

All rooms have the most amazing view! Staff are really helpful, kind and professional. The pool has recently been completely redone, they have been making many updates. The cenote in the jungle is private and you can snorkel to see many beautiful fish. Snorkelling can also be done right off the beach as there are also many colourful fish. My only regret every time I stay here is not staying long enough! Don’t hesitate, stay here and take in Mexico’s nature at its finest!

Verified traveler (10/5): - This boutique hotel is by far my favourite place to stay I have been here often. Last year I left my daughters iPhone 7 in the room. I had already boarded my flight back to Canada but I promptly called the hotel and the front desk gentlemen retrieved it and put it into the safe. A few weeks later a friend picked it up for me and safely brought it back to Canada. I have never felt unsafe here. This was in the summer of 2019. This year the seaweed is much better. The shower has amazing water pressure compared to other place in Mexico. The view of the ocean is jaw dropping! Stay here!

JenniferB (8/5): - Private & quiet getaway in a beautiful spot all to itself just a few minutes north of Tulum. Spacious and comfortable room, right on the beach with its own porch and lounge chairs. You’ll need to rent a car to get around. We enjoyed this retreat after a busy day in Tulum or at the sites nearby (Coba, cenotes). Only downside was no kitchen (though there’s a fridge and kitchen sink/counter) and not much of a restaurant on the premises (wouldn’t recommend the breakfast, for example). So if you can get by without cooking, or going to one of the many great cafes in nearby Tulum, you’ll be fine.

My 3 year old daughter loves the cenote right off the beach because it’s sheltered from the waves of the beach. The view from our room was breathtaking. It was my birthday so they gave me the room I requested. Front desk staff were very helpful and polite. Restaurant staff were also very accommodating. I’ve stayed a lot of places in Tulum. I’d you want the best view this is your hotel. There is seaweed but there is seaweed at all resorts in the area so I don’t let that bother me. We prefer the natural beach anyway.

Jose (2/5): - I had a reservation for sunday 2, 2018, and I arrived around 8 pm and there were no cars at the parking lot. I ask the guard how much would be for a taxi to go to Tulum because I dont like to drink and drive. He answered me 200 pesos, then I asked him why the place looked so lonely and responded back with a tone "this is not the hotel this is the club". I ask him politely "how do I get there?" And his attitude got worse and replied " You can't go there, this is private property" I was shocked with that response and asked him why? He replied " its only for people with a reservation" I stated that I have a reservation and he tried to apologize and mention that he had my key, but at that moment I just drive away from that place and stay at another Hotel. I understand that I came in flip flop sandals, and I had sand from the beach in Akumal and the showers were closed. I just wanted to get into my room and take a shower. But I had this negative experience.
Andre (10/5): - The resort seems to have been recently upgraded, painted and redone. I read past reviews and was really sketchy on staying here but I'm glad I did. It's very basic, no TV. But power outlets, air conditioning, mini fridge. but the reason to stay here is not those things. If you want a beautiful view to the ocean right out from your room, like 15 feet away. this is the place for you. on the down side, the seaweed problem is real here. water close to shore brown like coffee. the coleta is clear and everyone swims there. I'd come back.

Verified traveler (8/5): - Keeping in mind I wasn't expecting a lot out of the room versus the location the room was nice and much more spacious than I anticipated with a 5 star location on the beach. Had selected this location last minute in hopes that kids wouldn't clamor for something to do the next day and this did not disappoint. Nice Beach club atmosphere during the day and the kids had a blast on the beach and checking out the cenotes on premis.
michael (4/5): - hotel is gorgeous, in a gorgeous locstio. right on the beach, you can see the Tulum ruins from the room. breeze is non stop HOWEVER, I left my wedding ring in the room on the first day, when we returned it was gone, the only person in the room was the housekeeper. when i went to the front desk, they were not helpful and actually defended her. alsi. she made our beds... but left no towls, no soap, no clean sheets. there was no phone in the room to call the front desk, and front desk is about a 7 minute walk from our room. there was also no garbage can in any of three rooms. also only 1 electric socket worked.
Leonardo (10/5): Excellent place, amazing beach. - Beautiful place, independent suites with plenty of space, lovely clean beach with warm water and no one around but you. The food is good, but could be better. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Be ready with mosquito repellent on you and insecticide around the doors, some bugs could enter the room, rembember you're surrounded by beautiful nature.
Alfredo (8/5): - Beatiful Hotel, Great Beach, probably the best in the area. Rooms very comfortable, 1 room with air conditioning, and another one without it. Very good service in General, also very clean. Only one night we were out of water, but fortunately it was not a big issue and it was solved early next day.
Rebecca (10/5): Secluded and Beautiful - This hotel was absolutely beautiful and I loved how secluded it was. We were the only ones on our private beach. Can't wait to come back.

Alan (8/5): - The hotel was actually nicer than what I was expecting. Rooms are large with 2 couches and 2 double beds which was perfect for my family. Beach directly in front of room which is nice but you can’t swim do to the rocks. Clean rooms nice staff. Would definitely return for 1-2 nights. Only 5 min from amazing downtown Tulum and 3 min to ruins. Excellent location. I was a little skeptical about location. Picture and description make it sound a little shady but I felt very safe there.
carol (8/5): Really solid place to stay away from crowds. - This was a very comfortable place to stay right on the water. Lovely swimming beach in front of lobby/restaraunt.
oz (8/5): Beautiful beach - The strong point is the beautiful beach, and the very nice caleta which has fresh water inside the sea !! very funny experience to swim there (beware of the strong current!). They also have a (smalll) cenote on site. We stayed at the buildings. Those are 3 stories buildings with 6 apartments in each building. They were built cheaply and it shows - the combination with salt air is taking its toll on concrete and fittings, and in a few years it will require either massive renovation or the hotel will be run down. Right now it is passable. The water in the shower is on the salty side - maybe they take water from the caleta :-) This shows both in the taste of the water as well as on the hot water faucet which is heavily corroded. Breakfeast costs extra, we didn't bother with it. It was low season, so dining in was not really an option. On the plus side, the beach was half empty and we had the hotel more or less to ourselves. Sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves is priceless...
Roxy (8/5): Great view from the hotel - The hotel is right on the beach. The breakfast there is amazing. When we arrived the staff gave us another room that it was not what we had booked, it was a lot smaller than a regular room with no AC but with an incredible ocean view. I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to relax and have a good time.
Martin (8/5): Shabby but still nice. - We took a chance on this place a few miles north of the Tulum ruins and fancy it is not. For us it was great. The price is good and the secluded out of the way place was very calming. The rooms are very basic but roomy. It is shabby and if you can deal this place is for you. No wifi.
alex (4/5): Awesome Spot on the coast but very basic amenities - You could see this hotel from tulum castle site. In fact this is the he only thing you could see north of it. Rooms are basic, water is salty and you have to have a car to get there. Little usable sandy beach. For 100$ it is ok, but prepare yourself that this is a plAce to spend a night before going elsewhere.
Meghan (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing vacation spot - We loved Caleta Tankah! It's not a big resort but the staff are friendly, accommodating and down to earth. It has a nice relaxed beach vibe. And the beach is beautiful. The entire grounds are stunning. It's a very quiet place so if you are looking for something less loud than the rest of the town, this is a good spot for you. It's very close to the centro and the town and easy transport by bus or taxi. We visited the town and the ruins many times but also enjoyed just relaxing at the hotel on the beach or in our balcony. Highly recommend.
Raymond (2/5): - Very eerie place when we left & went to dinner & came back the whole place was deserted! No guard no lights it was almost pitch black, we were the only ones there it was like a horror movie on the beach
Amina (6/5): Nice 2 days - Stayed two nights here. The view is amazing. The staff is so kind. Its only a 10 minute taxi ride or short shuttle ride from downtown Tulum. I would try and reach out to advise what time youre arriving. We booked it last minute but they prepared the room asap. The beds arent the best. the showers arent warm which is okay if youre already wet but takes some getting used to if youre dry. Wifi didnt work at room and a.c. seemed to not work well one night. Their beach is amazing and the bar staff is very nice. Juan there is super cool. The cost isnt super expensive nor is it super cheap so you get an idea if what youre paying for.
Gary (6/5): OK Hotel on the beach - Room has a lot to be desired. No in room coffee, no phone to contact the front desk, front desk is about 1/8th mile from the rooms, no internet in the rooms,no television, can't flush toilet paper down the toilet, management only speaks Spanish. Other than that a decent hotel on the beach with plenty of ocean to explore.
virginia (2/5): Beautiful but abandoned hotel - Location beautiful pool dirty and unused weeds and cracked cement everywhere Families of lizards old sheets kind of scary Could be amazing if renovated and kept up but definitely not a beach club. No breakfast in site. Took a half hour to get brown water with no milk for coffee.
Miguel (2/5): The price is cheap, but you pay for what you get. - I didn't even stay in the room I paid for that night. The hotel is rundown and I genuinely didn't feel safe there. The place gave me the creeps. As soon as I checked in, I walked right out and found somewhere else to stay.
Emily (6/5): Great location, but rough around the edges - Location is remote and out of the crowds, rocky beach in front of the hotel, sandy beach a very sort walk north, two small cenotes on site, and surrounded by turtle nesting grounds. Rent a car or be willing to take collectivos from the end of the road. Restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch, no breakfast menu and only snack menu for lunch, food was okay. The staff were friendly and helpful, only two spoke any English, one of whom spoke fluent English. Wifi available in the lobby. All the rooms are ocean front with great views and clean, however there was no TV, no fridge, no fresh running water, hot water was rare, and bats came in the slate windows at night. I recommend going into Tulum for a large jug of water and non-perishable foods (you'll need to seal them up so the ants don't get in them). All in all it was a good experience, we took the lack of TV, fridge, and water with a sense of humour, lots of freedom, we left the hotel every day to explore Tulum and Akumal, and I swam in the larger cenote three times.
