Guest Reviews
- Marcel (10/5): It was excellent. - Atmosphere, cleanliness, friendly staff, tasty food, hot tub
- Oh (9/5): - Welcoming host, the room is spacious and clean, and the bed is the best. Breakfast is tasty but the portions are just enough and I wish it had more variety.
- Maria (10/5): Feels like home but better - Great experience at Boreale ranch. The grounds are lovely and I especially enjoyed the hot tub and toasting smores at the fire pit. I loved the communal dinners where we got to meet fellow travelers. The rooms were spacious, beds were very comfortable, and the view of the forest and mountains was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. If I had to give any suggestions, maybe more variety for breakfast. Otherwise exceptional property. Hope to stay there again.
- Eva (10/5): - We checked in very late but the staff had left the room open for us. We were “late” for breakfast, but the staff prepared our plates, set up a small table and chairs IN our room for us!! And the food was absolutely delicious! We were sad to leave without enjoying more that they had to offer! And the views…..👍

- Cassie (10/5): - Sadly, we only stayed one night while passing through. We enjoyed the comfort yurt!!! The bedding was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very clean and plenty of hot water. We really enjoyed the hot tub. The staff was amazing.
- Andrew (10/5): - Great stay at Boreale Ranch! We wanted to stay longer but had to get on the road. Will be back.
- Alison (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): -

- Ken (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay. Marsha is a great host. Loved the dogs. And there's so much to do in the Southern Lakes. Did not have enough time. Will definitely try to return.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Amazing place, great staff, highly recommend
- Kiana (10/5): - Stayed for one night and it was awesome! The food was delicious, the hot tub was very relaxing and the pups were adorable. Definitely recommend staying here, the views are amazing right outside your bedroom window! Take the short drive out of Whitehorse and experience true serenity.
- Masami (6/5): Breakfast looks like Best Western😔 - Maybe got wrong expectations from the other pictures.
- Caitlin (10/5): - Hospitality was amazing. The breakfast in the morning was great, comfy beds, and the dogs were a bonus :) Beautiful property! Nothing
- isabelle (10/5): Un accueil chaleureux, un endroit très joli. -
- Laraine (10/5): - Very secluded, great staff, pleasurable stay
- Marcy (10/5): - Stopped in after riding the Golden Circle. Perfect place to relax.
- Deborah (10/5): - The property is stunning..quiet and away from town. The continental breakfast was personally prepped and lovely. We stumbled on it for a single night and wish our entire stay had been there! I hope to be back!!!
- Carlo (10/5): - Modern, top of the line built facilities. owners like family. Great location
- Zoe (10/5): - Friendly, well organized. Fantastic view, great coffee
- Philip (8/5): Very good - Room with a great view, in an amazing location. The jacuzzi is really the cherry on the cake. Breakfast was on the small side and rather basic
- Mariah (10/5): - This was by far my friend and I's favorite stop on our trip to Alaska. It's more remote, but absolutely beautiful and everyone is super friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay and loved being able to take a walk around the property after a long day of driving. There's a hot-tub to relax in, though we were both too tired to enjoy it. Breakfast was amazing and it was an overall amazing experience! I'll definitely be coming back!
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): Great location - Very quiet and out of the way Long way to a restaurant
- Rostyslav (9/5): Value for money. Perfect spot inside wild nature. From the other hand - fast wifi, warm hospitality and calm place. - Value for money. Perfect host. N/A
- George (10/5): - Very comfortable
- Cherene (8/5): - Superb mountain top views. nice hot tub (just for soaking as the jets don't work). Bed is in serious need of an upgrade- you either roll to the middle or off the edge. Only one chair in a suite (odd since it's designed for two people) Stand fan was appreciated, as there is little air circulation. (The beautiful large windows do not open.)
Breakfast was standard and fine.
Surrounding grounds are quiet and peaceful.
Note, there are two friendly large dogs that have the run of the property. Don't play fetch with Bruno- he nios) All in all. it makes for a nice stay.
- Scott (10/5): Above - And - Beyond - The Boreale Ranch property, environment, ambience, and staff all exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent, and the staff went above-and-beyond. We were difficult guests… leaving a large bike chain grease stain on the duvet cover and then a charger chord! They took care of the cover “it never happened” they said. And the charger cable is in the mail!
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- joanne (10/5): - Great short visit with son
- Dawn (10/5): Beautiful place! - My Dad and I traveled here for his birthday. We rented the Yurt, and let me tell you we felt so at home here, the breakfasts are wonderful, the family that owns the property are just so kind and welcoming. We truly felt like we were at our home away from home here. Nothing to unlike here at all!
- Brandy (10/5): - The stay was excellent! Breakfast was fresh & delicious. The outdoor hot tub soak afterwards was a serene way to start a day full of travel.
- Graham (10/5): - All I can say it’s amazing and the food is very good
- Kevin (10/5): - Wonderful stay. Loved the spacious room and the view.
Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
- VENKATARAMADAS (10/5): - Good location. Convenient. Excellent internet connection. Well taken care during our stay
- Elaine (10/5): - Very quiet peaceful and friendly!
- Joshua (10/5): - What a lovely stay! From the directions, arrival, rooms, breakfast and departure-Awesome! We will be returning!
- Catherine (10/5): - Great friendly people, comfy room, hot shower, out of the way facility, great personalized breakfast.
- Mario (10/5): - Off the beaten path. More of an experience than a hotel stay. I was so comfortable , staying here. I just wish I had the time to stay longer and get the whole experience.
- Becky (10/5): Absolutley fantastic! Wish they owned land at each place we stopped/overnight on our 6 day drive out from Wisconsin. - Peaceful, serene, relaxing! Something for everyone..horseshoes, hiking, hot tub, games, chickens, dogs, trampoline for kids, picturesque views, onsite grill, amazing chef, friendly owners, bon fires if conditions are favorable, and kitchenette for anything you may want to warm up etc. We loved everything!
- Forest (10/5): - Loved it!
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Accommodations were lovely; very tasteful and comfortable. Stunning views. Bright and sunny. Delicious breakfast. Hot tub is a bonus.
- Deborah (10/5): - This facility complements a bike excursion guide business with winter offerings of fat tire and cross country skiing. We were just passing through for a night and it was perfect. Stunning, thoughtful design of the main building, more than ample common areas stunningly decorated to maximize exterior views of Seven Sisters mountains. Peaceful, understated luxury. Most calming place I've ever stayed.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Jerimin (10/5): - This is our 2nd time of staying here the food is good and staffs are nice
- Mian (10/5): Our family had a great time staying at Boreale ranch! - The breakfast provided was excellent. The location is great with an easy commute from Whitehorse. Nothing we did not like. But if we have to say something, one upgraded room is not connected with the main building which caused a little inconvenience during winter time. We wish we knew that before we made upgrade. The room has a great view.
- Shelby (10/5): Relaxing beautiful location for a weekend away. - The dining room where meals are served has a beautiful view through picture windows. Breakfast was artfully prepared with an adequate amount of food. The lodge has a cozy and comfortable vibe with multiple areas to relax in. It was nice to have access to the jacuzzi anytime of the day and enjoy a campfire every night. The room was very comfortable and the water in the shower was nice and hot. The hot cocoa, cereal, coffee, tea, etc in the kitchen was a nice touch. We were able to bring food to prepare some of our own meals. Do not follow the address given in the Booking.com website as it was wrong. When checking on Google, the address there was correct and confirmed with the Lodge.
- esther may awayen (8/5): - Everything
- Daniel (10/5): - Outstanding staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent! - A wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend! The location is beautiful and not too far from Whitehorse.
- Katherine (10/5): - Great stay
- Sharon (10/5): - This is a very quiet peaceful haven. Our room was clean and comfortable and the owners and staff are very kind. Nice to have a lovely hot tub to star gaze in.
- Farelle (10/5): - Everything about this place is amazing. No cell service but wifi works great.
- Frances (10/5): Convenient location and an excellent view, we loved it! -
- Francis Raymund (10/5): Probably better than the tour packages - Amazing stay for a couple! too bad we didn't see the Aurora during our stay (cloudy) but if we would plan another trip - this would be the ideal spot. It has the viewing tour + hotel in 1
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Absolutely lovely! We were in cabin 6. Cozy. Amazing bed. Great view. Dinner was to die for. Super friendly staff. Will return in a heartbeat.
- Mia (10/5): - Beautiful place with lots of things to do. Hot tub, outdoor fire pit, beautiful area to walk around.
- Danielle (10/5): - I loved the whole place - we stayed in the yurt, it was super warm, and we got to see the most beautiful northern lights from the hot tub. The hosts were amazing, and the breakfast they made was delicious. I loved meeting other people who were travelling too.
- Guy (10/5): - Breakfast was actually cooked and served for us. Unique experience and we loved it.
- Cherie (9/5): Superb -
- Lynda (10/5): Best place we stayed in the Yukon! - Absolutely beautiful property. Hosts were wonderful and breakfast was fantastic. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Nothing!
- Jean-Philippe (8/5): - It’s more a BnB rather than something else : it should be clearly indicated
- Roli (10/5): Perfect - a perfect place to stay., If you have time, even for more than one day, a very friendly welcome, they have taken care of me the best way .... there is a playground for kids, there is a hottub, you can use, everything you need . ....
- pamela (10/5): - We had such a great experience! The owner was wonderful, a tasty breakfast each morning, a jacuzzi, and being surrounded in nature was priceless!
- Xijie (10/5): Excellent service and fancy stuff - Excellent stay. And the breakfast is not like a continental one. It is fancy
- Heather (10/5): Quiet and relaxing - Lovely property and hosts.
- Maite (10/5): This place is a little gem within the Boreal Forest! We only stayed one night on our way back home and would have liked -
- Beverley (10/5): - Beautiful property with an amazing host and fabulous breakfasts and dinner
- Erik (10/5): - Amazing location and amazing staff!! Beautiful place to stay!
- SHERRIE (10/5): - There is an issue with directions on google maps.
It took us down this wooded dirt road. Then it said, “you are st your destination. Park your car and walk. We thought we were being bamboozled! We had to walk into the woods to get Phone reception. I called them and he gave me the correct directions.
- sandra (10/5): - Great overnight stay in large, sunny room. We tried the hot tub and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.
- Tamara (10/5): - We stayed in Yurt. Was great night. Staff great.
- Barbara (10/5): - A hidden gem. Peaceful location, comfortable bed, amazing dinner, and friendly staff. Planning to return on our way back down the highway.
- Michele (10/5): - A wonderful place to stay south of Whitehorse
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Well designed accommodation, extremely tranquil location, very clean and pleasant owner and staff. The evening meal wasn't available the night we stayed which meant we had to eat dinner in Whitehorse before we arrived or drive 15 minutes to Carcross for a limited dining option. Breakfast was included with a single serving time and was served without being announced and although we were just finishing serving ourselves coffee in the adjacent kitchen the eggs were cold.
Guest kitchen access was great where you could make hot drinks anytime after check in. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
- Tia (10/5): - It was a lovely, calm, clean and well equipped experience for all of our needs. Loved the chickens and goats. Food was excellent and I appreciated the decaf coffee they made for me
- Nancy (10/5): - These young people were so nice and work hard to provide a nice accommodation for guests. Family style breakfast was very nice. Was able to interact with other guests in the morning. Highly recommend it.
- dereck (10/5): - Loved every bit of it
- David (10/5): A hidden gem - This accommodation is stunning! Easily accessible from the main road but set back enough so you wouldn’t know the road was there. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with stunning views of the mountains. There is a lovely track through the property that serves as the perfect morning walk before sitting down to a very substantial breakfast. There is also a sitting room and small library in the main lodge. Sylvain was a friendly and welcoming host with a wealth of knowledge about the best spots to visit. The eco-sustainable qualities of the lodge are excellent.
- Charles (10/5): Unique, Friendly lodging with exceptional food! - This is a unique lodging experience. Rooms are minimalist, but very functional and beds were comfortable. Could have used better black-out shades to block out the bright summer sun so early in the morning. Staff is incredibly friendly and the breakfast we had was exceptional!! Fun way to pay for drinks with chips you place in your own little glass as you take them from the fridge. Games to play as well. Walked around property on a short trail as well.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (10/5): - Highly recommend this lovely place! Beautiful setting, nice amenities, and friendly staff. Great location to visit Carcross and not too far from Whitehorse.
- Archie (10/5): - Very quiet facility. Staff very nice and accommodating
- Amanda (10/5): - Beautiful mountain views and friendly yet inobtrusive hosts.
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great
- Cheryllynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): A great place to stay - Boreale” Ranch was only an overnight stay and it was the best stay of the all the place I’ve traveled to in the past 3 years . Marsha is the best. I felt like this was my home away from home . Great direction, perfect surroundings, very clean , peaceful and inviting . I was in room #4 which had a great balcony with a beautiful view . Tucked away off the highway , quiet & serene .
I chose to have dinner at Boreale’ Ranch as town was about 30 minutes way and it was excellent. Appetizers, a main course which included wine along with a dessert which was absolutely perfect . The next morning breakfast was served which again was excellent.Next time passing through Whitehorse this we’ll be our stop . They have a wonderful walking / biking trail that goes to one of the many lakes in region along with a great out hot tub to relax in . They also have a great selection of tea’s , coffee available at all time (included) and assorted beverages ( adult type ) available to purchase, all at very reasonable priced .
- Brandon (7/5): Great place, but was not as described. - Nice staff, liked the location out of town and secluded breakfast was good. Shared area is really nice kitchen, dining area, library. Hiking trails around the property. Big windows great for watching the northern lights if they're out. Even has a campfire pit outside. The description was not accurate. In booking.com it stated there was a kitchenette, and it also stated this suite gets you a hot tub. It was a stretch to call that a suite no seating area, no TV no seperate areas, One chair one bed. No coffee maker in the room, The kitchen is in the main building and its shared. Also the hot tub is shared didn't get to use it when we wanted because it was in use. My room was not far from the hot tub so you hear people in it talking that are using it. I paid alot to stay here paid extra for the suite thats not a suite.
- Ingrid (10/5): - Beautiful property with hot tub and outdoor seating. Excellent breakfast and dinner
- Jenny (9/5): Superb - Comfy room. Nice breakfast service.
- Janet (10/5): - I'd give Boreale Ranch high ratings in every area. It is very clean, the common areas are welcoming, there is a nice trail around the property for our legs stiff from the car, the coffee and tea are locally made, and best of all, it includes a friendly greeting from the official ranch dog, who was happy to make us less homesick for our own pooch. I'd suggest a larger sign on the highway to make it easier to find, but otherwise, I'd rank this ranch as a stellar stop.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our room was beautiful and modern with all the comforts and great views of the area.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome place. Food was really good. Bed was super comfortable.
- Ida (10/5): - Great place to stay, highlight of the trip
- Anthony (10/5): - if you're looking for city stuffs this isn't for you. but if you're looking for peace & quiet, a wonderful staff, fantastic food, a friendly dog, and a location in the middle of a forest... this is it. 10/10 and would definitely do again! we will never forgot this place!
