So we went out to buy some. Not ideal. Breakfast was OK ish, precooked and kept warm,the Scrambled Egg was 'tough', fortunately the bacon had just just been cooked. The Cona Coffee mug was topped uo with water. We were than offered Instant ''as only 1 person was left to have breakfast'.

• Penny (9/5): Effecient, clean and comfortable. - I didn’t read the info properly and so I didn’t realise that the hotel was un-manned until I got there. However a quick check through and the process was very clear and simple. The room was spotless and the bed was possibly the most comfortable Ive ever slept in . You can’t beat crisp sheets and a comfy mattress. Breakfast was well stocked and the lady overseeing was friendly and helpful. There wasn’t anything about the hotel I didn’t like. It would be useful to have a bit of info of local eateries for weary travellers ( unless I didn’t see it) especially out of season

There was easy on-street parking, and everything worked; it was simple and straightforward to gain entry and locate the room with very clear instructions. The room was fairly standard with a good-sized bathroom. The bonus was the great breakfast included in the price. The room was very cold at night. Even with the heating, the wind was blowing cold air in through the windows. Even with a fleece on, I was cold.

The bed was really comfortable, we liked the usb ports in the lamps at either side of bed to charge our phones. It was lovely and warm when we got into the room which was a bonus. And the location of the hotel is perfect, right next to lots of shops/restaurants, near to the beach but yet really quiet. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. I would definitely stay here again. No complaints at all

We did arrive too early but was informed the room will be ready shortly so we went for a bite to eat first. Returned around 2pm room was ready. Lovley room. Nice comfy bed for us both. Tv wardrobe a fridge which is handy. Adequate coffee/tea available in the room. Bathroom very spacious lovley shower also. Breakfast was excellent. Selection of poached or scrambled eggs, bacon and beans. Also good selection of continental breakfast items like cereals, fruit ,yogurts and toast with crossiants also. We will definitely stay here again whilst visiting family. Thank you for a lovely stay!

• Jon (10/5): A real gem - completely exceeded my expectations - The Burlington exceeded my expectations in almost every way. This is a gem of a hotel - well-run, clean, efficient and perfectly located on a quiet side street. I travel a lot all over Europe for work and usually book apartments, but for one night in Cleethorpes to catch up with a family friend a hotel seemed logical. The entry codes were straighforward, the room excellent - tea tray, iron, hair dryer available - and the breakfast far better than the usual basic "continental". All the staff I spoke to were responsive and friendly, and I would not hesitate to book again. I rarely give 10 on Booking.com, but a lower score would be unfair.

Felt slightly on edge as a lone person on a ground floor room with old windows and no gate looking into a car park.
