- dina (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Very welcoming, conveniently located close to the M3. Super comfy bed and full power shower. Lots of parking outside my door. Great cooked breakfast Room was tiny
Blackout blinds would be useful due to bright lighting outside

- Evelyn (10/5): Beautiful pub to come and stay in! - The room was beautiful, and there were some nice touches too (a little complimentary drink and quiet classic fm which was lovely)!
The breakfast was really nice too, and the staff were also all really nice. A great place to stay! When we arrived the check-in desk was unmanned (fair enough; it is a pub-hotel and keeping someone there all day would be madness) and it was a bit confusing as to what to do. A little bell or something to alert the right person would have been a great touch.
- kate (10/5): -
- Simon (9/5): -
- Bryan (9/5): - The room was spacious and well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was well fitted out with a walk in shower. The bar area and separate lounge offered relaxing spaces and the restaurant was decorated and finished to a high standard. Breakfast choices were numerous and presented beautifully. Nothing.
- chris (10/5): Very good value for money 😊😊 - Lovely
- Townend (10/5): -
- Kate (10/5): Home from home! - Always a pleasure to come to the Bel! Charming pub cozy rooms.
- Carrie (7/5): Sadly not as good as it once was - Third stay and location is good and rooms nicely equipped and decorated. The food has got better too. Service has sadly declined quite considerably which is a shame. No one was rude, just inattentive, lack of awareness of people waiting and very slow service.
- Kate (10/5): -
- Townend (10/5): -
- Jane (10/5): Really lovely - Really lovely very historic , staff were really helpful and friendly N/a
- Emilie (10/5): - We loved the food, the room, the amenities, and the thoughtful bottle of sloe gin left in our room to taste! Thanks so much for having us!
- Nina (10/5): -
- Ceri (10/5): -
- Hilary (8/5): A great place to stay. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very good. I particularly like the box of handy cartons to help you during your stay: shower caps, toothbrushes, cotton buds, sewing kit and much more!
I think the decor has been updated since I last stayed and it felt fresh and clean. You definitely get what you pay for here.
- Helen (8/5): The inn was lovely but our room was too small and had unforeseen obstacles (very low doors)! - The staff couldn't have been kinder and more helpful! We arrived very early from an overseas flight and they made sure that our room was quickly available. The meals were excellent. The inn has been beautifully and tastefully designed. The location was excellent for us. Our room, Willow, with a big, comfortable bed, was very small indeed with little room for our luggage. The worst thing though was the extremely low lintel over the bathroom door. Along with its little step up, it caused much forehead bruising and some very angry words!!! Also the room was right above the kitchen and the banging door to the terrace, so it was a bit noisy, especially in the evening.
- Fiona (10/5): Comfortable and enjoyed the sloe Gin on the bedside table! - Breakfast was excellent.poached eggs and mushrooms on sourdough.
- Jane (9/5): - The village and atmosphere of the pub, staff are great and welcoming.
- Sabine (8/5): - Sehr individuell eingerichtet. Leckeres Essen. Toller Pub.
- Ruth (10/5): - It was a lovely hotel and a very comfortable stay
- Helen (10/5): -
- Rollo (9/5): Great location - lovely old pub/hotel. - Lovely pub/hotel right in the middle of Odiham. Convenient to get into Basingstoke. Nice restaurant and bar.
- Nele (9/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Good stay as always. - Very friendly and convenient location
- Kenneth (9/5): Lovely four day stay and will return in September. - We have stayed many time over the last five years and always enjoyed our stay, we always ask for the Webb room which is in an annex at the rear of the property.
The breakfast is cooked fresh and a great choice also a perfect service. Nothing.
- Chris (8/5): Great pub stay on the Odiham high street! - Location was perfect for our big family birthday party being held at the Bel & Dragon that evening. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable and we enjoyed a great night there. The dinner was also excellent. The breakfast buffet was quite limited and more care and attention could have been given to the cooked breakfast (the breakfast muffin was burnt and shouldn't have left the kitchen).
- Louise (5/5): No more than average - A lot of it was finished by the time we arrived at 9.00am. In addition, t
he main courses were average and very unimaginative eg. avocado on toast was literally ......... avocado on toast ........ No extras - not even a crack of pepper. Service was slow
After being asked at dinner, ´how´s everything?´, I told the waitress that the chicken was overcooked and dry - to which she replied, ´yes, I know´.
It COULD have been so good but it is the staff - serving and catering in particular that let it down.

- Lena (10/5): Old pub with awesome room! - Very nice old pub with an awesome interior. Very practical amenities. We love the big bed and the bathtub. Everything perfect!
- Charlotte (9/5): -
- James (8/5): - great people and location and value for money the food was below par and the rooms lovely but very basic
- Ian (9/5): Really lovely - Lovely presented room and breakfast area. Really comfy bed.
- Denise (8/5): Lovely - Lovely staff and decor No bar snacks, no food until 6pm and kitchen closed at 9pm. We were visiting friends in the area, could not get any food before we left at 5 and returned at 9, all shops on high street were also closed! Nothing in the area but very pretty.
Pub was so busy, missing a trick with no bar food!
- Richard (9/5): -
- Christine (9/5): - Lovely hotel and village The room and the food
- john (8/5): Very enjoyable -
- Sarah (9/5): Perfect for a Weekend Escape - Just a perfect little retreat for two tired adults escaping children for one night It was just lovely, nothing we didn’t like
- LOU (10/5): Lovely stay - Good location, friendly staff. Lovely breakfast room. Easy parking and great room. Comfortable beds with good quality bedding too. Nothing.
- Denise (10/5): Excellent, Highly Recommend - The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The pillow Spray and earplugs were also a lovely touch as was the Sloe Gin left for the guests in the room
- Marsh (9/5): Excellent stay. - Very clean and tidy N/a
- Julie (10/5): Very comfortable room and very friendly staff - Excellent quality food and friendly staff. Very nice room and good location
- Sharon Ann (9/5): Very relaxing - Warm and welcoming country hotel/pub. Staff couldn’t do enough. Cosy fireplace and great cocktails. The room was clean and quirky. Nothing
- Kevin (9/5): A great place to stay - The staff were really nice and friendly. Lots of nice extra touches included. The breakfast is exceptional. The building is like staying in a piece of history, in a good way! Also a lovely comfortable bed.
- Amie (10/5): Wonderful Stay - I have nothing but positive things to say about the lovely Bel & The Dragon - Odiham. Each staff member we encountered was kind and helpful, the room beautiful and full of character, packed with small details that made our stay wonderful, from children’s story books to complimentary treats. Breakfast was delicious, relaxed, and the dining room absolutely stunning. After our red eye flight into Heathrow the night before, this was the perfect location for our first night in England and I will recommend it to everyone that listens! Thank you so much!
- Phillip (9/5): Lovely - Great choice, taste and well presented. I should have booked for an extra night instead of having to move to another Hotel in Hook, this was my fault.
- tristan (8/5): -
- Guido (9/5): -
- Pamela (9/5): It was lovely and comfortable but do bear in mind it’s in a busy pub - Friendly staff and very welcoming and clean It was loud on a Saturday evening as room was above the bar but was to be expected I guess - I just hadn’t realised the family room would be there and there was live music playing.
- Sheila (9/5): -

- tristan (8/5): -
- Phillip (8/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Great value for money - Excellent room with good service in both bar and restaurant. Got wet walking from the room to restaurant but little the venue could do about that. Perhaps include brollies in the outside rooms. That said very well appointed rooms.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Mark Stephen (10/5): Rooms staff and restaurant very good - Good location
Excellent food Beer prices a bit steep
- Jen (10/5): -
- Bill (8/5): - The rubbish bins being emptied at around 4am.
- Alex (7/5): I would stay at this property again, the breakfast was excellent with great quality of food. - The venue is an old building very nicely designed and decorated with some quirky features. An extraction fan from the kitchen was constantly running which made for a disruptive night’s sleep. No double glazing. Old style sash windows didn’t keep out the noise.
- DAVID (9/5): -
- Emily (9/5): Brilliant hotel, perfect location - They have everything you can think of to make you’re stay as comfortable as possible I’m not sure if the staff at breakfast where new or training, but they were very slow. We have to ask for almost everything eg to take our order, we asked a couple of times for more tea/coffee as the breakfast took a while to cook, sugars, butter for the toast.
- Jane (7/5): -
- Emma (10/5): - Hôtel hyper charmant, j’ai adoré !! Le lieu, le personnel, les chambres, le restaurant et petit déjeuner, tout était incroyable ! Rien
- Michael (8/5): Pleasant stay. - Breakfast was served in the main dining room and was very good.
Very comfortable room with a walk in shower as requested.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Good parking facilities. Cold bathroom as insufficient heat from towel rail.
Bar drinks very expensive.
- MARIA (10/5): Perfect stay - Very clean and all the facilities needed for an overnight stay. Nothing
- Marie (9/5): Excellent, worth a stay. - Beautiful building, lovely staff. Gorgeous room, bed very large so comfy bedding wonderful. Great atmosphere Food good but a little over priced
- Robert (10/5): Absolutely superb - The Bel and Dragon exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The location, beautiful rooms, superb food and the service from everyone was exceptional. All our requests were met with a smile, changing our room and when I left the key in our room and locked us out! To stay in such a beautiful place with a great atmosphere and exceptional service was a privilege. The young lads behind the bar, restaurant staff at dinner and breakfast and the managers welcoming us at check in and checkout all excellent. It was so busy and to maintain the level of service throughout our stay was impressive.
We booked another family get together before we left. N/A
- Paul (9/5): Nice hotel with good location - Lovely big, slightly quirky (very old building) rooms. Nice bar area and beer. Good village location. Nice breakfast
- Matthew (9/5): Beautiful old coaching inn in a quintessential English high street. - Lovely old inn in the centre of Odiham, good car parking. Really friendly staff serving good quality food and drink in beautiful surroundings. Great log fire in the bar. 🔥 Nothing!
- Louise (9/5): Charming pub hotel in excellent location close to the canal for easy walks - Very homely pub/hotel; room small but adequate and very tastefully furnished. Excellent shower. We had lunch on arrival which was good but a bit ordinary. The sea bream was tiny and the beetroot timbale a bit tasteless. Good bread to accompany and ditto coffee.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Sally (10/5): The best hotel / restaurant we’ve ever been through (and we’ve been to many) - Beautiful hotel, great accommodation and food. We were made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had booked a family get together with 6 adults, 1 child and three dogs for lunch and we were put in the private dining room which was fabulous and a lovely bonus. Nothing
- Faye (9/5): Love this hotel we always have a great stay and look forward to the next visit. - We love staying here great location ,amazing staff, food and beautifully decorated interiors. This time we still had a great room, however, there were two single beds together and whilst each very comfy they were small and created a gap between them which meant I kept rolling into it and that woke me up a few times. It would be far more comfortable to have a double bed without a join .
- Catherine (9/5): - Lovely pub hotel
- Phil (8/5): - Excellent although struggled to access wi-fi
- Alia (7/5): Good pub in a great location - Nice pub, great old building, easy parking. Our room was at the front above the bar so looked out onto the pretty high street. Spacious, warm and full of character. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, although nobody likes a hard poached egg! Lovely touch leaving a bottle of sloe gin and glasses in the room as a help yourself 'resident's tipple'. The lighting in our room was really dim. Mood lighting is great if you're in the mood but sometimes it's useful to be able to see what you're doing. The menu was nice but pricey so we ate in the Italian restaurant across the road which was more reasonable and very good. Poor selection of beers in the pub. Take your earplugs if you are staying in the pub itself.
- Barry (10/5): Great food, excellent service and a lovely room. - The sevice was excellent. Especially during our lunch.
- Anne (10/5): Very generous hospitality we will definitely go again. -
- Andrew (6/5): - Great food Nowhere to hang clothes
- Natalie (6/5): -
- Aleksandra (10/5): -
- Frances (10/5): -
- mags (10/5): - The room was absolutely stunning and the location. Great place We didn't like the fact that there was half a bottle of slow gin in the room with a card saying a tipple for our guests. We had a glass each. Nice. Oh no when I returned home I had a bill emailed to me charging me nearly £20.. As a result of this I have put a notice up on our noticeboard at R. A. F. Odiham advising people of undisclosed hidden charges
- Henry (10/5): -
- Lee (10/5): A fantastic Inn style stop-over. Exceptional value for money, very good staff and great food. The breakfast was outstand - Perfectly located in the heart of the village. It’s a great old building, with a traditional bar, good restaurant and rooms above the bar. The quintessential old inn.
- Elliot (10/5): Loved it! - Amazing experience. Beautifully restored historic building setting, comfortable accommodation and wonderful service.
- George (9/5): Generally excellent stay, but let down by a few details. - Pleasant and stylish hotel right in the middle of Odiham. Attractively decorated and mostly comfortable bedroom, with some nice touches: e.g. fresh milk not UHT, help-yourself nightcap. Friendly welcome and service. Good food, including an excellent breakfast. Convenient on site parking. Bedroom a bit on the cramped side, with some unnecessary irritants: e.g. lighting far too dim and heavily shaded, bathroom lacking in hooks or shelves for spongebags, etc,; basin too shallow for refilling of kettle.
- Rita (9/5): - Great staff, friendly & helpful. Nothing
