Exceptional attic suit. A bit small, plenty of stairs, some pieces of furniture are rather beautiful than comfortable. Extra beds for kids were very uncomfortable (bad mattress).

pgoldner (10/5): If you love being pampered and live theater then this is the hotel for you. - Three years ago my wife and I stayed at the Covent Garden Hotel for three weeks. We loved the hotel so much we again made reservations in March 2026 again for three week. The location is perfect for walking to theaters in London's West End. They have two concierges Agostinho and H. Either one seemed to be on duty whenever we needed help, and we needed help at least once a day. Since we love theater they were able to get tickets in great seat locations on short notice for impossible to get shows like "Paddington" and "Mincemeat" and for ten others shows. They were an amazing duo. In addition they got us a hotel and train tickets for an overnight trip to the beach side resort town of Brighton. They got us lots of restaurant reservations, a car and driver for a day trip to Windsor and lots of taxi rides. Since when we left the hotel after a total of six weeks we had pleasant encounters with the hotel team of Louis, Camile, Ade and John. The hotel has two bedroom services per day. Something special is that they have a private lounge with an honesty bar.

shan9000 (4/5): Kit Kemp cashes out - I have loved this hotel for years and will, sadly, never come back. The quality of everything has taken a nose dive. It took 45 minutes to get 4 inches of warm water into the bath. I asked the front desk to check and they said housekeeping says it's fine. So it's my fault. The food has gone downhill, which is presumably why no one is in the resto on a Friday night. I literally feel bad for the staff who carry on like all is normal, like this is the same hotel. "Sorry madam, we stopped with the bath salts about a year and a half ago." "Sorry madam, sorry madam, sorry madam." Sorry is right. I'm sorry, too! As I will have to find a hotel group who still cares about their guest experience instead of cashing out. Kit and Tim are lining their purses with silk while we waste precious time on vacation waiting for the tub to fill.

My husband and I had the privilege of staying here for 3 nights as we celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary. We hail from Melbourne , Australia and this was our third city in two weeks. We were blown away by the beautifully decorated spaces throughout the hotel and all the thoughtful touches. The real star of the show however was the most incredible staff. Every one of them was so warm and accomodating. We have never experienced anything like it. Clearly, the staff not only love what they do but they love working together. This is for us, what you want to experience when travelling. We were so sad to leave. It truly is like visiting an old friend. To all the staff, thank you , thank you!! You made our stay truly magical. You should all be so proud of what you have created . We can’t wait to visit again.

Le personnel aux petits soins et très prévenant comme jamais je n'ai vu cela auparavant dans ma vie ! Juste devoir rappeler de faire notre chambre car une après midi elle n'avait pas été faite. Et les frais de fin de séjour élevés et NON SIGNALES que je n'ai pas apprécié du tout et qui ont été annulés, il faut en faire la réclamation, ça gâche un peu la fin du séjour alors que tout était parfait !

The rooms are exceptionally appointed.. in an English style design by Kit Kemp.. absolutely superb.. the attention to detail with every aspect of the room to furnishings and accessories and room service is second to none. The staff are exceptionally attentive, professional and helpful.. Although a little on the pricey end.. you will not be disappointed.. you definitely get what you pay for with this superb hotel. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time.

The location was superb, the staff happy to help, the suite was so comfortable with lovely attention to detail (flowers, champagne, fruit) and the breakfast was served at the table - a plus!! We will definitely return and it’ll probably be our go to hotel for future trips to London. Nothing to dislike

Auch die Servicecharge hätte ich gerne im Zimmerpreis ausgewiesen und nicht als Überraschung beim Checkout erfahren - wir hätten dennoch dieses Hotel genommen.
Charolotte (10/5): - We were upgraded to the 2-floor suite, absolutely stunning! We love this hotel. The only improvement I would make is the inclusion of a kettle and tea-making provisions. I love a cup of tea in bed in the morning when I stay at hotels, and that is the only thing lacking.

Every member of staff exceeds expectations in providing the best guest experience possible - nothing is too much trouble, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is amazing, the rooms are awesome and the restaurant Brasserie Max is just sensational (I had a delicious breakfast and dinner there). A huge thank you to the whole team - I can’t wait to return.

We agreed we will stay here again anytime we're in London. Highlights for us: * Superb service throughout - friendly, gracious, professional, attentive * The most comfortable bed ever - they sell the beds * Delicious breakfast buffet and high tea * Terrific bar especially the martinis * Cozey and beautiful interiors especially the lounge/library area for guests * The honor bar upstairs :) * The location with lots of shops, pubs, restaurants and pedestrian traffic - great energy * Short 10-minute walk to two different tube stations * Also a 10-minute walk to the National Gallery of Art and Trafalgar Square I look forward to returning one day - thanks for an excellent stay!

La matrimoniale superior che ho prenotato per 850 eur al giorno, 2 piano numero 211 era piccola e non c’è una stanza senza la moquette. In camera non c’è macchinetta del caffè né bollitore . Il bagno cieco non aveva aspiratore . Il ristorante dell’hotel ha cibo average, e se ci sono eventi all’interno dell’hotel, privilegiano l’evento e non gli ospiti dell’hotel . Per la nostra cena abbiamo aspettato 45 minuti ! Tempo in cui non ci hanno servito nulla . Non è un servizio da hotel a 5 stelle

iang697 (10/5): Our long distance local. - Since my first trip advisor review in April this year the Covent Garden hotel has become our “local” (despite being over 250 miles away) whenever we visit our daughter who lives a short distance away in Covent Garden. They all love my daughter and it is so good knowing she is cared for and looked after where she chooses to socialize. That they also treat my wife and I so well is an added bonus. We are on a first name basis with pretty much all the hall, bar and restaurant staff. Whenever we visit they remember us and our drinks and treat us like friends. A special mention for Flávio, Sam, Luca, Allan, Thomas, Mary and Bulla who always give exemplary service. I can highly recommend the Covent Garden hotel to anyone visiting London and staying in the Seven Dials & Covent Garden area, a fabulous hotel in a quieter area of London but still close enough to major attractions.

The pros: Great bellmen Good service The cons: This hotel is really starting to show her age. The bathroom towels were terrible (I have had better at 3 star hotels). The room layout and decor were very average. This was a newly decorated room and it was well below my normal experience at this hotel. I will not return to this property, but I have not given up on Firmdale.

Connector789717 (10/5): Amazing as Expected - I recently stayed at the Covent Garden Hotel. As always with the Firmdale properties, I found it to be charming, friendly, well-run, and extremely comfortable. The room I had wasn't the largest, but it was adequately sized, and even though I was on a busier street, I didn't hear any noise most of the time. The gym itself is tiny but very functional with high-end equipment. The breakfasts and drinks, like all Firmdales, were great and the staff was extremely friendly. Also, the location is top notch!

GoPlaces61618739896 (10/5): Great stay just a couple of small things - Lovely hotel. The service and room were amazing. Only a couple of things I'd recommend need looking at. Firstly there's no coffee machine in the rooms. You either have to order from room service (with a £5 charge) or you can rent a coffee machine for £15 a day. When you're paying over £850 a night for a room this does seem a bit crazy. Also on leaving they said a discretionary charge of I think £34 would be added for housekeeping. Why not just include this in the price? It was a bit surprising as I've never had this before. But overall I do love the Firmdale hotels and have stayed in the Charlotte St Hotel before and I would go back. Fantastic bed and very stylish interiors.

brianm412016 (10/5): Fantastic small luxury hotel - We stumbled upon this hotel 7 years ago while walking through the Covent Garden area and stopped in for lunch with our 3 teenage children. At the time we remarked how beautiful this place was and vowed to someday return and stay here. My wife and I just completed a 4 night stay and it was better than expected. First the location is great. Near theater district and centrally located for traveling to other parts of the city not to mention a great walking neighborhood. It feels like the Left Bank of Paris or a nicer NYC Greenwich Village. If you like the small luxury hotel feel this place is for you. The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant elegant yet casual. The service is beyond great. Almost feel like you are staying in someone’s home. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I rarely write a review but felt compelled to do so here.

526aj (10/5): Perfect accommodation for first timer in London - This hotel is CHARMING! Decor to friendly, attentive staff were absolutely wonderful. Room was perfect. Nice bathroom amenities. Clean. Quiet. Restaurant offered perfect breakfast options - we had other meals away while touring the city. Added bonus is the Drawing Room - a comfortable area on floor above street level. Sofas, chairs, tables, honor bar - a great place to gather with others in our group. Walking distance to MANY shops, theatres, tube... From the moment we were welcomed at the door to the farewells upon departure, this was a treat!

The room was beautiful, spacious and well designed - gorgeous bathroom with thoughtful extra touches (sensor lighting), plenty of space for toiletries. Sizable wardrobe, mini bar, safe. Breakfast was a real treat, so much choice, and everything fresh, attentive staff, friendly and personable. Perfect location for Covent Garden and Seven Dials with all the fabulous resteraunts and theatre shows, but located in a quiet street - we slept very well in the huge bed. All in all we felt very well looked after, thank you!

iang697 (10/5): My daughter’s favorite cocktail bar. - A fabulous hotel in a relatively quiet area of Covent Garden/Seven dials. Recently visiting our daughter who now lives in Covent Garden, she brought us here for cocktails and a 3 course evening meal. The food was delicious with the potions not overpowering and I had probably the best old fashioned cocktail that I’ve ever tasted. The restaurant staff were both friendly and helpful and the service couldn’t be faulted. We enjoyed the experience so much we went back the following morning for breakfast, and that was just as enjoyable as the previous night. This was our first visit here and it certainly won’t be our last.

santamonicaadelaide (6/5): Very small $900 rooms!!! - Charming lobby and staff at front desk. However, the rooms are tiny! Really small. Have to turn sideways to walk around the bed! Lucky we are staying only one night!. Also, no water in the room except the mini bar (expensive!!) bottles. For $800 a night, it might be nice to leave a bottle of water?? Plus, you’ll face the issue of arriving in the morning (11ish) and being told the room may not be available til check in time, 3pm!!! This despite having called to alert them we were arriving from Los Angeles. (A long flight!). They have a perfect legal right to make you wait but, again, you would hope that they would try to help their far away travelers to get a shower and recover from the long flight. I know that other London (and European) hotels have rooms ready if they have been given advance warning. Not always, but most of the time. Particularly the high priced ones like this one. Good news is super nice bell service and nice lounge area on first floor.

The rooms are each different and are luxurious, with excellent showers, and firm beds and pillows. The staff are always engaging and willing to assist, from the reception and concierge team (Louis goes out of his way to assist) to the cleaning and restaurant staff (Marta is fabulous). A wonderful location, as well.
