Rosie (7/5): Pretty basic by my standards but a nice place with friendly staff - Good location on a gorgeous beach with a number of amenities locally. Basic but did the trick for my 1 night stay. I chose to drive to the marina in the evening and have dinner there.
Luttrell (6/5): Worth the stay not the price - Great view of the beach. Great pool facilities. The loft room was really cool having 2 stories Price. I feel the price point was way to high. Over $1000 for a 3 night stay and the TV didn't even work half the time. The lights weren't brought enough to much up anything. The fireplace was constantly on and wouldn't form off no matter what

Kaitlyn (7/5): Overall the stay was great with some minor issues that can be improved easily. - The loft room was great for families with kids. Lots of room for kids to not feel cramped. Also the view from the rooms were amazing. The beach access was great too. Some facility thing that weren’t great. Like the latch on the room door that prevents it from opening more than 2 in was broken so we had to watch out toddler heavily to make sure he didn’t escape the room. And the pet room we stayed in smelled like a pee spot wasn’t fully cleaned up as we smelled pee in the middle of the night up stairs. Which I know is a pet room problem but urine being cleaned up prior to next guest should be a minimum. There were also a few trim pieces around the room peeling off with some sharp edgers that my son scratched himself on.
Lena (3/5): Unfriendly Pet-Friendly Hotel - The ocean view from the room. Before arriving at this pet-friendly hotel, two staff members had already called me about my note in the booking regarding my preferred room on a higher floor and the number of pets I own. I joked, “Just one who does not have fleas and does not bark. He is my husband.” They said the hotel has four floors, with the two lower floors being pet-friendly. On check-in day, the front desk assigned me a room on the second floor. I spent almost an hour speaking first with a staff member, then with the manager, to switch my room to the third or fourth floor because I did not have a pet and feared flea bites. I booked through Priceline.com, so the price was usually better than booking directly with the hotel. However, from my experience, the hotel staff usually treated us badly when booked through Priceline.com because of the lower price. Finally, they guaranteed I would not get flea bites in the second-floor room they assigned. I had never struggled so much with the front desk staff to request a room I wanted without an extra charge. As soon as I walked into the room, I was impressed by the ocean view. I was glad they probably assigned me to a room with no dog neighbors and no barking at night. One reason I booked this hotel was the pool, because I am a daily swimmer. But I did not use it because the weather in Newport was cold, and there was no indoor corridor to the separate swimming pool building. Even though I swim daily, it was too cold in April to walk outdoors in a swimsuit for five to ten minutes to the pool without a puffy jacket.

Kaycee (8/5): Almost a 5 star stay - The views at Hallmark Resort are the real draw — stunning ocean panoramas that stop you in your tracks. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a great balcony for unwinding to the sound of the waves. We even caught a dramatic storm rolling in over the water, which was a highlight in itself. The staff was genuinely friendly throughout our stay, and beach access made it easy to comb the shore for agates, shells, and sea life. A few things held the experience back from five stars. The bathroom is noticeably dated and could use some updating. We also found the fan dusty and the Keurig poorly cleaned — my tea tasted like coffee for several rounds. A cleaner setup or a simple kettle option would go a long way. Overall, a beautiful property in a stunning location. With some attention to cleanliness and maintenance, it could easily be a five-star stay. Either should be cleaned better, or a kettle should be offered. Bathroom was super old and not upgraded at all

Mount (10/5): Highly recommended and will definitely return. - Stayed at Hallmark for the first time. The room was exactly as advertised and very clean. There was a Keurig with very good coffee (not your typical weak hotel coffee) although there was also a complimentary coffee/tea/ water station easily accessible near the lobby. I also loved the later checkout time. It’s just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to the Bayfront. I’ll definitely stay there again. No elevator

(our hotel in Portland was open til midnight, but there were kinds in it til close.. :() that I had to go home?

We appreciated the EV charger. It was great to have the coffeemaker, microwave (which we used to heat water for tea) and the glasses - not plastic (thank you!). We will definitely stay here again. Would have been nice to have a tea kettle, but we used the microwave instead.

Chloe (4/5): All in all, I was thoroughly disappointed.. especially for how much money I spent, unsure if I’d come back and this was - The view was awesome, the check in lady was so sweet and helpful. The ceiling had a water leak from the upstairs room. The microwave was dirty, so were kitchen utensils. There was chunks of what looked like bark dust in the bed sheets. The light in the main area broke and wouldn’t turn on. One of the Tv speakers was broken, so no sound at all. But most annoyingly, the upstairs occupants were STOMPING and running/jumping off stuff all night and all day… the only times they were quiet was 1am-5am, otherwise it was nonstop massive stomping and running, you could even hear it over the jacuzzi tub filling and bubbling..

David & Toni (8/5): Great Stay by the Ocean. Perfect getaway for the family and your Dogs! - The view was amazing. Each room has a balcony facing the ocean. Despite a few items that were noted and addressed the room was clean and the staff was super friendly! They were excited about the idea of us brining our dog Lexie and they even had a little doggy bag for her in the room. The things we disliked were minor compared to our stay. After our stay, we raised a few concerns through the hotel’s survey. The General Manager replied to it the next day, addressed our feedback, and said they would look into the matters further.

The bed and pillows were rock hard and lumpy. Husband ended up on the couch as the bed was so uncomfortable.

We paid a lot extra for a spa jacuzzi tub and the jets don’t even work. Disappointing after driving for 12 hours. We know we aren’t the first that complained about this.

Colleen (9/5): - The king spa room was incredibly spacious and perfect for relaxing. The view of the beach was wonderful and the balcony is well sheltered so we didn't feel the wind or get too cold at all, even sitting outside in bathrobes in the middle of the night in January! The Jacuzzi tub in the room was a wonderful way to unwind. The service was excellent, I especially loved that we could check out movies for the in-room dvd player for free. And the restaurant, Georgie's next door was delicious, the room service was very convenient for a relaxing night in. I wish the tub was a little deeper for soaking. While the width is great for 2 people, it's a little shallow. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress was hard with noticeable indents and need stone replaced.

Breeanna (5/5): This is our 5th stay at the Hallmark in the last 12 months, this was by far the most disappointing. - We really love the easy beach access and in room jetted tub. The shower drain was backed up so water wouldnt drain,bath tub was dirty and the bed was very uncomfortable.
