Guest Reviews
- Robbie (10/5): - Staying here was a highlight of our trip, would very much recommend.
- Mario (4/5): - No elevator. No safe in the room. Air conditioner did not work. Tv stopped working after fist night. Not a property that I would stay at again
- Ian (6/5): - TV, safe broken and not repaired for duration of our stay, had to wait 2 hours to check in after posted check in time.
- Aileen (10/5): - Excellent accommodation very lovely warm helpful kind staff and comfy peaceful clean room
- Claudine (10/5): - Perfect to wander Padova and explore by foot. Although pretty noisy on a Friday night, so you might want to ask for a room to the back. Room had everything we needed. Free water bottles are a plus. Can recommend 👍
- sarah (10/5): - Great location, parking nearby, owner was very nice, simple breakfast.
- Lucien (8/5): - Pas de commentaire particulier
- Nita (10/5): - Angela was a super host making us feel most welcome. The room was very comfortable, clean and walking distance to places we needed to be. Angela and her staff were very friendly and made our stay one we will remember fondly.
- Mark (8/5): Well Situated B&B - Angela was a great host. Knowing that we would arrive later than front desk hours she gave us the front door code and had keys waiting for us on her desk. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but well prepared. Hotel was well situated, walking distance from every Padova. We would warn people that the hotel has no elevator. We were located at the top of the hotel, 3 flights up, and it was a workout with luggage. If you have trouble with stairs get a room on a low floor or look elsewhere.
- Earl (10/5): - Great location and the rooms were very spacious.
- Gilberto (10/5): - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful
- Nawal (10/5): - Perfect location in the city centre. Big and cosy room. Nice staff offering tasty breakfasts and sharing good recommendations.
- Jean-Francois (10/5): - Parfait@
- NancyW669 (10/5): Perfect place in Padua - Great location. Helpful host. The rooms were the best combination of charm and modern conveniences. Hearty breakfast. The host even supplied some wine glasses fr the kitchen so we could enjoy wine in the garden out back. I’d definitely stay here again.
- Michael (10/5): - The host Angela was very kind to us and very informative on where to find the sights in this very interesting and underrated city. The room was very clean and quiet. No complaints at all.
- michaelgS7217AP (10/5): Very good value - I stayed here for one night and it was just what I needed. The host Angela was very kind, the room was very clean and fine, and i really enjoyed our stay in this very interesting city. The main sites are just a short walk away and Angela was very helpful in helping us understand the layout of the city.
- Tony (10/5): - A great bed and breakfast with super spacious and clean rooms, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. The ceiling of the room was also nicely decorated and felt almost historical.
Be sure to utilize the mosquito killer vapes they provide in your room! They saved us from being bitten. Very thankful they provided these for free.
- estherkB6055VQ (10/5): Lovely friendly place to stay in Padua - The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Angela. It is more like a home than a hotel.
Also the position of the B&B in Padua is excellent.
Everything was kept very clean. A very useful small fridge in the room with fresh water bottles replaced daily.
- Ronald (10/5): - Clean, spacious, quiet apartment, excellent breakfast. All in the very heart of a beautiful, historic, walkable little city. There's a very good, reasonably priced restaurant (Agli Eremitani) not 50 feet away. Excellent communication with a wonderful host. Grazie mille, Angela!
- PaulM569 (10/5): Super apartment - Loved it here. We stayed in the associated self catering apartment in the Largo Europa. Very clean and comfortable. Angela (our host) was very helpful with lots of tips and advice. Would definitely stay here again maybe in the bed and breakfast next time.
- leonorv401 (10/5): Very nice - Conveniently located in the pedestrian zone of Padua, about 15 minute walk from the train station and the bus station, close to restaurants and other ammenities. Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast with several options (fresh fruit, youghurt, croissants, fresh bread). We had a fantastic stay and absolutely recommend it. I love how the rooms are a mixture of old and modern, with high ceilings and modern bathroom.
- Kelly (10/5): - B&B Scrovengi was an excellent accommodation. Angela was helpful and accommodating and very friendly. Our room
Was comfortable clean and cool. The location is excellent and within walking distance to the old town and train station. I highly recommend this place!
Consigliata
- Margaret (10/5): Convenient BnB - We had an upstairs room, that was dpacious and clean. Modern furnishings and a comfy bed. Location was a bit away from central Padova, but very close to Scrovegni Chapel. Easy walk to all other sites and restaurants. The area near the Duomo has a restaurants and bars in back streets.
- Maurice Alfred (10/5): -
Very helpful owner. We were there only one night - but you really need two nights to explore Padual.
- Martha (10/5): - B and B Scrovegni is in an amazing 15th century building in the heart of Padua. Angela was very kind and helpful with suggestions for getting around. It is very near the Scrovegni Chapel and history changing Giotto frescoes. Be sure to book a timed entry to this amazing chapel well in advance.
- Pierre-Paul (10/5): - The room was great, the breakfast was delicious and the service was outstanding.:)
- Giovanna (8/5): - Posizione eccellente per raggiungere in circa 10-12 minuti centro storico e stazione dei treni, 200 metri dalla Cappella degli Scrovegni
Personale gentile e accogliente, camera pulita doccia grande ,
Colazione soddisfacente , non eccezionale
Sarai’ un punto di riferimento per i miei prossimi viaggi a Padovs
- TentpegAG (10/5): Charming - Charming B&B. Excellent location for local sites and bus/train station. Exceptionally clean with daily towel change. A beautiful building with well thought out extra touches, beautiful ceilings and a pretty courtyard garden. Water provided in small fridge in room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Toiletries and hairdryer. Continental breakfast with fresh bakery products.
No lift, but stairs manageable.
Angela, the host, was very welcoming. We lost a wallet on the bus from Venice and Angela was incredible in helping us locate this. She gave lots of great tips on the local area.
Highly recommended
- ali (6/5): Olabilir - Odada gece yürürken uyuyanı uyandıran bir zemin sesi var. Çünkü yerler ahşap ve gürültülü.
Temizlik iyi sayılır. Resepsiyondaki çalışan ilgiliydi.
- Lyndsay (10/5): Location and hospitality! - Angela and her staff were so welcoming and helpful! The location is ideal- basically next door to Scrovegni chapel and a short walk to the center of town and to the train station.
- Luca (10/5): - Locatio location location, Angela is super nice and helpful
- Jonathan (10/5): - Angela was a wonderful hostess & very helpful
- Olga (10/5): - Sehr angenehme Aufenthalt, freundliche Dame, super lecker Frühstück. Zimmer sind gross, schöne Decken .Immer wieder gerne.
- Elisabetta (10/5): - Siamo stati veramente bene. Gentilezza e pulizia al top
- 769jeaninev (10/5): Wonderful! - Everything was perfect - clean comfortable room, delicious breakfast, great location at the edge of the old city and near Scrovegni Chapel, and, most of all, Angela, the best host in Italy, who attended to our every need. We loved our days in Padova and our stay at B&B Scrovegni. Grazie, Angela!!
- Sarah (10/5): - Niedliches kleines Hotel, fantastische Croissants zum FrĂĽhstĂĽck, sehr praktisch. Nettes Personal!
- 633elenal (10/5): Perfect base to explore Padova - The location is ideal, within a short walk from the train and bus station and in a pedestrian area of the town. You can walk everywhere in Padova and this B&B is the perfect base to explore the city. We had a beautiful room and bathroom with everything you could wish for: great air conditioning, small fridge with free water, great bathroom. Breakfast, which was included, was excellent and included coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, fresh bread, toast, croissant... just a great choice.
We were planning to get the train from Venice but Angela gave us a great tip and we got a bus directly from Venice airport, which was super easy. Thank you Angela!
- Heather (10/5): - Our stay at this lovely, quiet B&B was exceptional from start to finish: clear instructions on how to get to the location from the train station (10-15 min walk), a warm welcome, easy check-in, and a clean, inviting room with gorgeous old wide plank floors and high ceilings. Angela, our host, was welcoming, kind and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was quiet, being a walkable distance from the main part of the old town. We awakened in the morning to birds chirping and the smell of croissants baking in the kitchen below us. Breakfast was a simple, delicious continental style service featuring beautiful fresh baked bread and croissants, as well as other breakfast items. Angela, grazie Mille for the wonderful stay! We loved Padova and shall return to stay with you again. 🙏💚🤍♥️
- Peter (8/5): - Very nice B&B in central Padova. Central location between railway station and downtown, close to restaurants. Great restaurant recommendation from host. Front rooms can be noisy though, but I guess it's a student town so can be expected. Nothing the B&B can do about, but Padova seems to have lots of mosquitoes.
- Joshua (10/5): Best place in Padova! - Great stay! The room was large, comfortable, pretty, and clean! Angela was so kind and we enjoyed speaking to her. Wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll stay here again if we can make it back here. Highly recommend!
- Brenda (10/5): - Warm welcome, excellent and helpful suggestions for things to do and places to eat, great breakfast.
- Anne (8/5): Padova is a gem - Angela contacted us by text, WhatsApp and email to confirm, give us help with finding parking and locate the hotel when we were right in front.
I was worried about the hard bed but it was actually quite comfortable.
Padova is a lovely, vibrant walking town. You must stay in the old district!
- Carlos (10/5): - Unbeatable location for Scovegni chapel and other inner-city Padova attractions. Hostess Angela friendly and helpful. Simple, confortable accommodation, but there were mosquitoes in the room at night, which was surprising in early May.
- Estelle (10/5): - This B&B is conveniently located in Padova - near the train station. Parking garage was very close and reasonable in price.
- Andrew (10/5): - Conveniently situated in the city.
- RLD (10/5): Lovely room, great location - Ideal location for the city. Large room with aircon and a nice bathroom. One of the pillows was soft, the other hard. We could have done with another soft pillow. Our room was on the 2nd floor. There's no lift but not a problem for us.
Breakfast available from 8am but we had to leave earlier.
There's a secure car park in Via San Gaetano, about 5 minutes walk from the B&B
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Despite an email informing the owners of our late arrival, they refused to accommodate us and we couldn't enter the room. We were forced to find another last-minute hotel at an inflated price. Although we were admittedly a few hours late, their inflexibility about the check-in time is unacceptable, as is their refusal to refund any of our money.
- Erin (10/5): Great location, better service! - Really great, affordable option in a great location. Walking distance from the train station. Great service!
Bathroom and shower were so large and luxurious!
Unfortunately, bed was uncomfortable, so my room at least would not be ideal for people with bad backs or who are pregnant.
- Will (10/5): - The location right near the chapel was amazing. Easy access from a parking ramp that was within a five minute walk. The room is clean, large ceilings. Breakfast was easy and tasty.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, wonderful large rooms with all of the amenities and a fabulous breakfast in the morning!
- Carl (10/5): Lovely Character B&B in heart of Padova - This is a lovely quaint bed and breakast just a few minutes from the station but virtually in the old town. The neighbourhood is lovely and you can be in the main squares in less than 5 minutes.
The building is a quaint old house and the rooms are big and full of character with good bathroom facilities and good air conditioning.
Angela, the host, is very friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to stay at B&B Scrovegni. When we are next in Padova this is where we will stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff very good, perfect location for station & town
- Elwood (6/5): - Good location. Poor WiFi. No elevator. Lumpy bed....very uncomfortable. Friendly folks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was excellent, the owner was very nice. The room was a little too hot despite working AC. But it was very hot outside. We only stayed one night and it was a nice experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location on the edge of old town, with easy access to the train station. Room was quiet and comfortable. Angela was very kind and helpful at check-in and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. We had a wonderful time in Padova!
- adrian (8/5): - Great location...very close to old town. Only problem (not hotel’s issue) is the mosquitoes! Hotel supplies various repellants to help.
- Tim (10/5): Great base for Padua - Check in lady was really friendly, communicative and informative. There are a lot of stairs to the top floor on account of high ceilings, with no lift, which was the only downside - otherwise the accommodation is spacious and comfortable with some interesting design touches.
- Mily (10/5): - Nice intimate B&B. Very friendly owner who helped us with complications encountered. Close to the centre.
Early closing time for late arrivals, so advanced planning a must.
- Kyanne (10/5): - Hostess had good language skills and was very helpful with suggestions about restaurants and with answering questions. Location good overall and excellent for Giotto frescoes. Breakfast buffet varied and filled croissants fresh and delicious. 15 minute walk from train station.
- Mike (10/5): Comfortable, quiet b&b just within city walls - Well placed with easy walk from the station. Confortable bed in good sized room and modern bathroom. Pleasant staff. Short stroll to main town area. There's an excellent restaurant just opposite the b&b, good value food and top notch service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet comfortable friendly B&B - Close to Scrovegni Chapel and buses. Easy walk to centre. Nice quiet garden. Helpful staff but not always on site. Provided glasses & snacks for our aperitif and helped with directions. Comfortable quiet room looking onto garden. TV but could not find English news channel. Provided gluten free breakfast toasts, yoghurt and fruit.
- Linda (6/5): A nice place to stay - The room was quite adequate. The woman at the desk was great giving us suggestions on what to see in Padua (Padova), where to eat and specialty of the region. She was a gem. The double bed was fine but the extra roll-in bed was very uncomfortable. But the room was clean.
- Davide (8/5): Family vacation - Very nice experience, recommended for family with kids.
Apartment was quite big and location is excellent.
Building however is a bit run down and it could use sime cleaning
- patrick (6/5): Not bad, but not too helpful - Checked in around noon - and no one spoke English. Shouldn’t have been an isssue, except that my room was four blocks away! No map so they finally walked me there, leaving me to figure out how everything worked in the room. Well, severe lack of electrical outlets, some not working. Radiator in the bathroom - couldn’t figure out .if it was just unplugged or it was broken. No instructions on how to checkout, and I went by the checkin room three times the day before but no one answered the doo. Finally sent an email asking for instructions and received a response late that night. Great location, just be prepared.
- kc (8/5): Excellent location - Perfect place to stay in the beautiful city of Padova. Prices on rooms can vary so check around. Very clean and spacious apartment. Ideal for 2 or 3 at a push.
- Sue (8/5): - The only issue was that we were never told what to do with the key at the end and had to take a taxi back to their main office to return it. Other than that small hassle, it was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely house close to ld town centre - Very pleasant stay at this centrally located and beautifully converted house.
- family of 4 (8/5): Really convenient for families visiting Venice - Great air conditioned apartment with 2 rooms and a small kitchen. 5 mins walk from the station, 25minx train journey into Venice.
- Stuart (10/5): a truly great B&B - We loved it here. A studio with great character, quiet & comfortable. A really superb place to stay for padova/padua
3 things made it:
1) very close to the city centre and 500metres from the Scrovegni Capel
2) clean, comfortable rooms with a lovely breakfast. We loved the disco shower!
3) angela - what a superb host! Impeccable English, we spoke via WhatsApp about arrival times, she helped with restaurants and the bus to Treviso airport, via WhatsApp, long after her work time had finished.
All in all a fantastic stay.
One word of warning. If you are on the top floor, you have to be able to carry your cases up to the top as there is no lift.
We'll be back here the next time we come back to Padua
- jean marc (10/5): Highly recommended. - Fantastic B&B, comfortable, friendly service, clean, excellent breakfast, great local advice. We loved it!
- Gabriel (10/5): I'll stay there again - It turned out to be an apartment instead of a holiday room which was much more comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Padova B&B - Padova and the location are great. The bedroom mattress was super comfortable. The fold out couch was not.
Also, I did not understand that we had to walk from the main office to the apartment. That might have been included in the information, but it wasn't clear to me.
- Roger (10/5): - The B&B was in a good location near the train station and also some of the major sites and markets. We had a very good stay and the room we rented that included a kitchenette was very affordable.
- David (10/5): Ideal location to visit Scrovegni Chapel - The B&B allowed us to check in early, which was great. The staff suggested that we tour the Palazzo Bo at the Universita. Without that suggestion, we would have missed a very interesting and informative introduction to that historic university.
The B&B is near many restaurants and about a ten minute walk from the Scrovegni Chapel. It is essential to make reservations for that tour far in advance, since so many people want to see Giotto's famous frescoes.
- Karen (10/5): - This is a fantastic find for those visiting Padova! I would definitely stay there again. Lucy, the owner, is a lovely person and she made wonderful recommendations for us during our visit.
- Lauren (2/5): Not suitable for solo female traveler - I was very disappointed in this hotel, and the pictures are deceiving. To be fair I will give you the pros and cons:
Pros-
in good location
two stops from train station on bus
Cons
Horrible bed-I could feel the mattress springs so I had to sleep on the bedspread
No office staff available after check in. After I went up to my room, I came downstairs to ask a question and there was nobody there. This made me really uncomfortable as a solo female traveler.
No hot water in bathroom sink
Phone did not work properly and fell off the wall.
- David (8/5): Mostly good - Good experience with 2 exceptions. Shower water pressure so low it was difficult to use. WiFi service, which we badly needed was almost non existent.
- couple 65+ (6/5): Disappointed! - Apartment in modernish block some distance (walk) from b&b, hard work for my husband carrying heavy bag on v hot day.
Appartment clean but scruffy. Bathroom tatty but worked ok. Minimal sachets coffee/tea etc fridge but no water - which would have been appreciated!
No breakfast ( I had misunderstood) and oddly we weren't told that there is a brilliant place for this just 20metres away. However this extra made the deal less attractive.
- Annie (10/5): Nice small boutique B&B - Small B&B 5 minutes walk from town centre. Lovely courtyard with seating area. Good breakfast. Large bedroom with kettle and tea making facilities. Large bathroom with a huge shower. Good selection of toiletries.
- Simone (10/5): Great B&B - Very comfortable stay and friendly staff. This B&B is very close to everything! Had a lovely stay.
- Gene (10/5): Very nice B&B in the old section of Padova. - The B&B Scrovegni is in and old building in the old section of Padova and is right across the street from ancient Roman ruins, the Scrovegni Chapel and the museum complex. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Bascilica of St. Anthony so the location is outstanding. We were made to feel very welcome; the breakfast was what we have come to expect in Italy - and plenty of it. Only concern would be that there is no lift so arriving with a bunch of heavy luggage could present a challenge.
- Pat (8/5): Hotel is at a very good location. - The owner of the hotel Elisa is very hospitable. She was waiting for us to arrive and gave very clear instructions regarding check-in and check-out and it is totally hassle free even though it is not a 24 hour reception. She volunteered all the relevant information regarding train schedules and ferry schedules to the Cinque Terre, better than what you can get from Tourist Information. After checked-in, she took us around the near by area to show us where to go to eat and what to see. Very hospitable lady. I definitely would recommend this hotel.
If I have to say one negative thing - it is the breakfast. It was put in our room the night before with packaged toasts and other food items and 2 bottles of juice, It is a bit under par .
- Patricia (10/5): This is the perfect home away from for your stay - This B and B far surpassed my expectations! The staff was very friendly, the room was beautiful and very comfortable and the location is central to everything!
- Julia (10/5): Perfect b & b - Stayed for two nights in two different rooms (because we asked to arrive a day early--they were able to accommodate us, but we had to change rooms the second night). Both rooms were spacious, cleverly renovated, and very very clean. The breakfast was fresh and the help in the breakfast room very friendly. The location was very good for all the historic sites. The street was quiet at night. I would recommend this property without hesitation.
- Frank (10/5): Cozy Nook in downtown Padua - Everything was excellent but some visitors will be put off by the fact you cannot drive up to the hotel direct to drop off or load your bags. The hotel is on a closed-off pedestrian street. The gals that run the place are TERRIFIC. I recommend the place heartily. Location is great, close to everything including the train station.
- Verified traveler (10/5): More than just convenient - The place was great. The room was clean and comfortable, and the proprietor friendly and helpful. It was just a stone's throw from the Scrovegni Chapel, and a short walk from the train station and main attractions of Padova. The train ride to Venice is only about half an hour too. I recommend it, and would stay there again.
- Kathleen (8/5): Padova B&B - This is a very comfortable, small B&B. Rooms are located along a stairwell and the owner carried my suitcase up stairs for me, which was very kind. Room is very modern, well appointed and has a lovely shower. It is a little tricky to find but is adjacent to the Scroveigni chapel which is a significant landmark. Shop owners adjacent to the B&B were very helpful in finding it and the neighborhood is safe, clean and quiet. You will feel welcomed, safe and comfortable here.
- Clifford (10/5): A Great Place to Stay in Padua - We had a great two room suite on the top floor. The location is excellent, as the walk from the train station was easy, the street atmosphere is quiet, and it's right next to the Scrovegni Chapel. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast that was included in our stay was fantastic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, friendly staff - I enjoyed staying here. It's a small place, very nicely designed with a dining room facing the small garden. Angela the manager was very helpful. The building is quite old, which is part of the charm, but the floorboards do creak and water pressure was a bit low. Still highly recommended and better in my view than any modern hotel.
- Spring (10/5): A must if you're in Padova! - This B&B is just lovely. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. You feel at home, especially when you go downstairs for breakfast. Sylvia, the owner, is sweet and welcoming. The location is perfect, about 10 minute walk from the train station and 10-15 walk to everything else. Padova and this b&b are a must!
