Guest Reviews
- Adam (8/5): - Great location to fisherman’s village and right on the water was a hit for the family. The property is slightly tired but overall a good stay.
- MARILYN (10/5): Beachfront property at good price. - Gorgeous beach front location with small pool and sunbathing facilities on beach. Nice well kept rooms. Great sea view. Brilliant location away from the noisy Walking Street but near enough to enjoy all the restaurants and shopping. We didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment. Stayed 3 nights but wished we’d stayed longer. Would recommend.
- Karl (6/5): - Hatten leider zwei Kakalaken, kann vorkommen, hat jedoch den Aufenthalt dementsprechend getrübt. Leider auch kein Lift vorhanden, Zimmer sehr groß! Super Ausblick aufs Meer.
- Sharron (10/5): - This property is in the perfect place of fisherman village and walking distance to everything. The hotel itself is lovely, clean, quiet and on the beach. Food is great and reasonably priced. Staff… amazing. All so friendly, happy and helpful. Everything there that you need.
- Guy (8/5): - Rooms are very good and nice. Bed very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for visiting fishermans village which is lively and has lots of good eating and drinking options. Downsides are a design flaw with the bathrooms where the shower water collects all around the toilet, and the beach in front of the hotel is near a river outlet. This means you get a lot of sediment in the water so the sea is not a clear as other parts of the beach. I have seen better beaches in Thailand, however if nightlife and markets are what you are looking for then fishermans village is a great location!
Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful a real credit to the hotel.
- Joyce (10/5): - Stayed here for 10 nights and loved this hotel
- Odette (10/5): - I don’t know what to say about this hotel. One part of me doesn’t want to post my review. Because I loved it so much. I want to keep this hotel to myself and not share it. It’s a small boutique hotel, right on the beach in a great location at the quiet end of Bophut restaurant district. I had a ground floor room which was right on the beach. Beautiful view, so easy to walk straight out of my room to the pool, beach and hotel restaurant. My only regret about this hotel is that I didn’t book a longer stay. During my trip to Thailand I stayed in about 7 different 5 star hotels but I think the Baan Bophut was my favourite. It has a lovely relaxed, casual feel. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. I seriously loved this property. 10/10
- Liza-Ann (10/5): Samui holiday - Absolutely loved Baan Boh Phut and the wee Fishermen’s Village area!
A great place to spend a few nights to check out all that Boh Phut has to offer.
Beautiful views, friendly helpful staff and a wonderful pool! Will stay longer when we come back again.
- Cory (10/5): - This hotel was fantastic. Rooms were in great condition, food was great and the staff was very kind and approchable. Perfect location in Fishermans Village. It is located just a 4 minute walk from the nightlife on a quiet part of the beach and road. Highly recommend this property! We had a beach walk out room and loved it.
- Jamar (10/5): - Position right on the beach. This very small hotel comes with a modern look, well maintained, and clean. The complementary breakfast is decent. The bar menu is decent. The staff are nice and value your concerns. The hotel is in a prime location of Fisherman’s village. It’s a good choice for couples. Not the best choice for a family of 4. Overall I would stay here again
- S (10/5): - Lovely beachfront stay.
- Lambert Matthias (8/5): - Thank you for a nice Vacation
- James (10/5): - A lovely hotel, everything about the hotel I liked, we stayed for ten days and will return. A nice quiet relaxing holiday.
- Michel (10/5): - Very nice place to stay, directly on the beach with a spacious room and great view.
- Liane (4/5): - You can’t swim at the beach in front of the hotel. Too much sediment not nice when Samui has so many other beaches. Would have been good to know
- katherine (10/5): - The ocean front room was great, the breakfast was good but could have had some bacon or ham. Excellent location at the end of Fisherman's village, nice small quiet hotel, only 13 rooms. Would absolutely stay again. GREAT cocktails across the street with Taan in the Volkswagen van.
- Stephen (10/5): - It doesn't pretend to be a five star luxury beachfront resort, but that's where it's charm lies. Judging by the number of return guests (and this was our third stay), it is the welcome, the convenience, the value for money and just the 'homliness' that continues to appeal. Yes, it has some rough edges but a re-furb is planned and the staff work extremely hard to give every guest their very best efforts. We, along with others, are sure to return.
- David (10/5): - A fantasic small boutique hotel in Bophut Fisherman's Village. Thouroughly enjoyed every moment at this friendly and charming hotel. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the hotel is superbly located with it's own little part of the beach, a good bar and restaurant and within just a few minutes walk of the restaurents and shops of fisherman's village. Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday.
- Andrew (10/5): - Very private location, rooms are wonderful & direct onto garden & beach, staff so friendly & helpful, great hotel 10 out of 10
- Arsen (8/5): - Hotel has good location for walking distance to good restaurants at Fisherman’s village!
Just not swim able beach-((
On pictures its nice but in reality it is not possible to enter the sea because the bottom is sticky and covered with snails !
- roland (8/5): - Das Ressort liegt direkt am Strand und ist sehr ruhig, das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend(für jeden was dabei)Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in direkter Nähe
- Wilfried (10/5): Empfehlung für 2-3 Nächte - Perfektes Hotel beim Fisherman Village. Direkt am Strand, sauberer Pool und super zentral.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and friendly hotel - Did a 1 night stay here over new Year. Comfortable and clean room and a nice tasty breakfast. The weather was not exactly beach like but most of the year one should be able to enjoy the beach here.
We booked the room for not having to drive after the NY party and would not hesitate doing so again.
- tor egil (6/5): - You pay for location by the beach, sadly the beach is very dirty.
The shower did for some reason think it was a bathtub 😅 drainage very cloggy made all my towels very soggy
Room mediocre, staff very nice and helpful
- N (10/5): - Top Hotel in top Lage
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect! - Perfect location in Fishermans village. Amazing sea view. Very nice rooms and surroundings. Highly recommend this hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love this place just right next to the sea. The staffs here also friendly and helpful. The location is great. Would love to go again.
- Nicholas (10/5): Classy, classic Thai style boutique hotel - With beautifully maintained beach front and direct access. A stone's throw from Fishermans gastronomy but away from the noise and commotion. ***Highly recommended!***
- Geoffrey (10/5): Toes in the sand - This place is beautiful , quiet, and so relaxing. The room was not 15 feet from the water across a beautifully manicured lawn. I did not want to leave.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely beachside hotel.. Couldn't complain about anything.. Highly recommended..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice property on a beautiful beach near Fisherman’s village, so lots of shopping and restaurant options. Comfortable beach front rooms and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful hotel with sea view rooms. Room was huge with everything needed. Staff were really helpful. Location was ideal for me as opposite the yoga studio, but the only set back was that the beach/sea is not the cleanest at this end of the village.
- gail (10/5): Will stay again. - Great location right on the beach. Everything is within easy walking distance of the village. Very comfortable bed. Room was clean. Shower good hot water. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was basic but that didn’t really bother me too much. I have stayed here before and I expect I shall do so again as it’s good value for the price I paid.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable rooms. Great location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Last few nights in Thailand. - This place is very convenient to fisherman's village. Great food and shops near by. Do not get the breakfast included unless you are ok with a very limited menu. All we wanted was egg on toast, couldn't get it. You could only choose between continental, oriental, or a thai breakfast. No exceptions. Couldn't mix and match from each set menu. Oriental had a egg, but no toast. He wouldn't let us just have one fried egg with toast. Other than the breakfast let down, this place is perfect. We would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Baan Bophut, was really great. The view from our balcony was just spectacular. The rooms were basic but so spacious and clean. Pool was not large but was enough to swim in and for the kids to play. As it is a small hotel, we had the pool to ourselves most times. The view onto the beach from the pool was also amazing. Staff were polite and helpful. Brekky was basic but there was definitely enough to fill up on and we found it perfectly fine. It is located in the quieter part of fishermans village. Probably the only negative was that one side of the room was parallel to the road. It could get noisy especially during the friday night markets when they went till midnight. But if you are in one of the single rooms you probably wouldn't hear the noise as much.
- Dale (10/5): - Beautiful views of the beach and ideal location for restaurants, etc.
- DAVID (10/5): Hidden Treasure - Nice small friendly hotel in Fisherman's Village close to restaurants and nightlife with great views across to Ko Pha-ngan
- Verified traveler (10/5): An oasis away from a busy street - Such a relaxing and delightful trip. Bophut is a little touristy, but this hotel is an oasis from that. We had a delightful stay—no complaints.
- Arthur (8/5): A solid choice. - It's a solid choice in the area, so long as you don't pay too much and so long as you are interested in the Friday night market. The breakfast is mediocre and the service is, too, but the rooms are nice and the location is convenient and the beach is small but picturesque. WiFi works very well.
- Susan (10/5): Little gem - Lovely hotel in tranquil surroundings. Beautiful views from the room and close to restaurants and bars
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely well located hotel that is quiet and right on the beach
- Mary (10/5): Great location. - Loved the location, could easily walk into town to eat, drink and shop. There was a street market while we were there that started at our hotel along the water restaurants and shops-so fun! Fire shows and cheap massages along the beach. We booked a sea view and it was amazing to wake up every morning with the views.
A friendly staffed served breakfast by the pool. We didn't rent a car or bikes so one day we hired a driver through the hotel to take us around the whole island to show us the highlights which was great. I would definitely stay in fisherman's village.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely property rights on the beach at the quiet end of Bophut Fisherman's Village yet easy to walk into the village. Fabulous views from all rooms. Excellent breakfast choices from the included rate menu. Only downside was lack of good door locks on patio door and no net curtains for privacy and to keep mosquitoes at bay.
- Katiya (10/5): I love, love, love this hotel!! - I love, love, love, love this hotel!!!! I will forever return and will always choose this hotel! It’s perfectly located at the end of Fisherman’s Village so it’s quiet. Restaurants all around. Wonderful healthy restaurant across the street. There’s a restaurant on the property but didn’t get a chance to try it. Their breakfast smelled amazing! The service was very great. The property is sparkling clean and the rooms are spacious. The balcony is roomy and the chairs are comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and high quality. This is an upscale accommodation with a very great price. They were super kind to let us store luggage there for a week before we checked in. There are many people who are regulars from Europe that stay here every year. We plan to be one of them. This is truly on the beach and the beach feels private. I love how everyone takes care of the local dogs and couple of cats that wander up and down the beach all day. They are loved by the staff and hotel guests and if you’re not a dog or cat person don’t worry, the strays can tell who is willing to give them a nice rub. They leave you alone if they sense you don’t. I love, love, love, love this hotel and will be back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Poor service - The hotel rooms were clean and tidy and I would like to praise the cleaning staff who were always friendly and helpful. As for the staff serving in the breakfast and dinning areas, I found them to be lazy and unhelpful. They could barely be bothered to look up from their phones and serve their guests. In fact their laziness extended to forgetting to bring you things you had ordered for breakfast or bringing all items out together on the same plate regardless of whether they complement each other e.g. banana pancakes and eggs and bacon on one plate! Tables were often not wiped down and dirty. The reception staff were also unhelpful, pretending to be busy all the time. What a difference good staff would make to this place.
- Marianne (10/5): Peaceful :) - I enjoyed the peace and tranquility so much i booked to stay a few more days!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful hotel great location premier loft suite with great view and privacy
- spoons (10/5): Lovely location, literally right on the beach! - Staff lovely, rooms good, bed fantastically comfortable (we’ve both bad backs so this really helps). Location great as just on edge of fisherman village so lovely and quiet but a few minutes walk you’re into the boutique bars and restaurants. Hotel literally on the beach, pool is small but still lovely 😊
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel rooms were clean and spacious but they needed repairs especially around the pool. The beach side bar was nice touch but we never saw it open? Staff were friendly and location to bars and restaurants was perfect! Recommend staying over Friday market which is on your door step. Overall 4****
- Mary (10/5): Amazing little find! - Amazing little find, we had a loft room which was spacious with a balcony which overlooked the beach. very clean, staff helpful and friendly. We stayed the night of the street market which was just outside our door. Would definitely use again if we go to Koh Samui in the future.
- Sue (10/5): Best hotel in Fishermens Village - We stayed at Baan Bophut for 11 nights in July/August in a mid-floor room. What a wonderful hotel. The room is very spacious with 2 deck chairs. The towels were always white and fluffy. The pool, whilst small, is perfect - nice and cool. We never swam at the beach and the loungers on the beach are very uncomfortable. The mats keep sliding down. Breakfast was not included in our deal so we went to Fishermen's House Cafe every day for a sensational breakfast. It would be nice if a Happy Hour or Cocktail of the Day was offered as the bar staff were not at all proactive to entice you to drink at the bar. Most people went across the road to buy drinks from VW van parked on roadside. All in all we loved this hotel and would highly recommend.
- Artem (8/5): Great place to stay - Great little place that is well maintained and has everything you need :) Please be aware that the beach is beautiful, but not very good for swimming. There are tons of good shops near by.
P.S: Wifi is really poor :(
- Hugh (8/5): Stunning outlook - excellent peaceful location
- David (10/5): Great Position at a good price - Great little boutique hotel with great sea views, close walking distance to all things in the fisherman's village
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was really relaxing and in a good location.the staff were really helpful we had an amazing time ther.
- Renee (10/5): A week at Baan Bophut Beach Hotel - Nice sized room. Great view. Attentive staff. Very clean.
- jo (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Very reasonably priced little hotel situated on the beach, perfect for a few days stay. Beach shingly but the hotel is in a perfect position for bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly
- Michelle (2/5): Very disappointed - Booked the ground floor unit. Thanks unit had a disconcerting smell and had lots of mosquitos. The shower flooded the floor in the bathroom and the floor itself was not a water grade flooring (mold?). They did move us to a different room but felt like they knew about the condition of the room already but hadn't made any attempt to rectify the deficiencies. For the price we paid (3509 batt) I expected something clean and comfortable. I think you could get something better for much less.
- Paul (8/5): Fantastic location and hotel - Great location in Bophut that benefits from being in a quiet part on the fisherman’s village where you can relax all day, while also being only a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and bars in the evening.
The hotel is very clean, secure and has good facilities ideal for both couples or families going away. The hotel staff are all very welcoming and helpful.
- dustin (8/5): - The place was a good experience. Hotel was great, other then the scooter rental across the street. Left a 2000 b deposit rather then passport and thank goodness for that, the outfit was hour late the day I was leaving. Felt it was a bit of a set up to wait till I left before they show up. Felt like lady from hotel desk was in on the set up
- jen (8/5): Nice boutique hotel close to beach - We loved the location of this hotel. So close to the beach and loved the view. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and spacious. The bathroom could have been bigger. Overall the location in Boh Phut and the value for money made this a great choice. Recommended.
- David (8/5): Quiet little hotel in fishermans village - A relaxing stay in close to Fishermans Village
- Paul (10/5): Perfect Boutique Hotel - The Baan Bophut Beach Hotel is the perfect getaway for a couple or a family with older kids. This small, picturesque hotel is at the quiet end of Fisherman's Village but still has restaurants and shops outside the front door.
Located beachside, you couldn't get any closer to the water. While not the best swimming beach, due to the cloudy water, it still allows an alternative to swimming in the hotel's beautiful pool. As a family with two teenagers, we loved the pool and beach area, spending much of our holiday relaxing, eating and drinking there! The Gorgeous hotel staff can even deliver your order to you on the beach!
Ideally situated to allow for quick trips to the busier parts of the island and then retreat back to the lovely seclusion of Bophut and all the wonderful restaurants the strip offers. Our favorite was the new Italian restaurant '2 Fishes'.
We had a wonderful holiday and could thank all the staff at Ban Bophut for a perfect time. Thank you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great, Friendly Little Place with Friendly Staff - Baan Bophut is a neat little place, in a (relatively) quiet part of town. Staff were all very friendly. The hotel restaurant offers great food and good prices. Most of the time, the area is pretty quiet. But beware that the Friday night street market extends all the way down the street directly in front of the hotel. It's a bit noisy. On the other hand, other nights of the week, the area is completely quiet.
Also, the wifi at the hotel isn't great. But I suspect you'd encounter that in many places across the island- it's simply not as high a priority in this place as in others. Also, the air conditioning in room 8 had a faulty thermostat- the air con was either OFF on OR- it would not cycle on and off to maintain a temperature. I'm very warm natured, so it wasn't a huge problem, but the room did get very cold during the night.
The pool is nice and cool, during a hot and sticky day.
The views are fantastic, but beware that the hotel is quite small, more along the lines of a villa. Still, I'd gladly stay there again, next time I visit Samui!
- Michelle (10/5): Absolute bliss - We loved every minute of our three week stay at Baan Bophut Beach, every single member of the team were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We had a first floor, seaview room (number 8), the best room in the hotel, in my opinion. Food was great, our continental breakfast was included but make sure you check. You can have cooked breakfast if you pay extra (it's very cheap). The food and drinks at the hotel are very good too. The market sets up outside on a Friday from 4pm to 11pm, but this just added atmosphere. There are 60 or 70 bars and restaurants within a five minute walk. Perfect!
- carole (10/5): Amazing view and fantastic staff - What an amazing hotel .....view / location and staff were spot on ... loved it so much stayed for an extra couple of nights ❤️
- damo (10/5): nice quiet place near beaxh - Great staff and wonderful location near beach .
Very helpful staff.
Very clean hotel.
Location is quiet but also a very short walk to all the action of Bo phut
- Kevin (10/5): First trip to Thailand - This was our first holiday to Thailand and we were not sure what to expect. Bophut, Fisherman's Village and the Baan Hotel was a good choice. Small friendly hotel I would certainly revisit.
- Natalie (10/5): BoPhut Treasure - Great boutique hotel. Lovely beach but a little bit stoney. Great night market every Friday.
- Perry (10/5): Great place - This was an ideal place to stay for us. Walking distance to everything. Fisherman's Village is very laid back. Plenty of restaurants within 40 metres. Great Friday market outside Hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great boutique property - Great boutique property in Fisherman's Village Bophut Beach. Walk along the village for some lovely little restaurants, shops and fabulous massages. Not too touristy.
Fabulous little restaurant less than 50 metres from hotel - The Hut. Highly recommended. Great food and price.
I don't think the beach is as good as Chaweng but the hotel has a lovely little pool and the quietness of the area and laziness of the area far outweigh the beach. That's not saying the beach isn't nice at Bophut, just not as good.
- John (8/5): Shower bad certain times of day no water staff nic - Shower poor no hot water at times staff nice and rooms cleaned everyday
- Alan (10/5): On the beach and good spot - Found the staff excellent, had an issue with airline loosing bag and they made several call on our behalf and help resolve matter.
Helpful in pointing us in right direction for food/shops/massage and very friendly. Very useful for going to airport, ferry terminal to Koh Penang and Ko Tao and also exploring Fishermans Village (which is a bit commercial but worth a visit)
If coming back to Koh Samui, will definitely stay here again
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel - Lovely place right in the beach, love the fishermans village
Driver took us to the airport
Bathroom tap was loose and toilet seat broken so some tlc needed
Good breakfast though
- Sage (10/5): Spacious Hotel on the Beach - Our room was huge with a big balcony with a beautiful view of the beach. The room was clean and comfortable. The food here was excellent. The location was great, right near many shops and restaurants but nothing too loud or crazy, which is exactly what we needed. The staff were attentive and friendly. Great value!
- David (10/5): Will Stay Again! - Fantastic views in a Fantastic location!
- Martha (8/5): Lovely beachfront hotel, great breakfast. - The room was large and clean with a great balcony overlooking the beach. I enjoyed my stay even though I stayed during the low season renovation of the deck. Shy did her best to keep the noise and smell from disturbing the guest. The loungers on the beach were super relaxing and the French Toast breakfast caused me to over indulge every day. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend and I hope to stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel close to the beach - We have been in the hotel 3 night. The staff is excellent, the room is cleaned and the location is perfect.
The swimming pool is nice and Breakfast is really good and plentiful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great find - Great little hotel to switch off and relax
- David (8/5): Convenient and clean hotel - Need more umbrellas for beachfront lounges.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in good location - This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel overnight on our way to Koh Tao. It is ideal for an overnight stay and is on Bophut beach in the Fisherman's Village and reasonably close to ferry terminal. The room was very comfortable and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Ideal for a short stopover. Would definitely stay here again.
- Alan (10/5): Fantastic hotel, highly recommend - Absolutely loved my stay here. This hotel is fantastic, the location, staff, pool, food, view and rooms I highly recommend and would definitely stay again !!
- Bethan (10/5): Beautiful! - Stayed here as a birthday treat with my boyfriend in a beach front bottom floor room and WOW that view is stunning!
The hotel is very clean, pool is great, restaurent is nice, location is amazing. This hotel is deffinately worth more than 3 stars. I could say 4.5!
- tim (8/5): location - great location just on the quite end of fishermans village. big rooms. friendly staff. short walk to restaurants and bars. value for money is great for the size of the rooms and its location, we will definitely stay here again
- Raymond Wong (10/5): Very near to beach and a beautiful sea view. - Beyond my expectations :) Big rooms, big comfortable beds, big toilets, big TV and big balcony, every thing big and good haha... I like to thank a beautiful lady named (shy) who is the owner of this resort for her great help. As I've booked a snorkeling tour through a website and received an email from them to confirm my room number but sadly i can't reply them through my HP as somethings went wrong, when i ask for her help, she would call up the tour agent immediately and also send emails to them for the snorkeling confirmation. I would strongly recommend to stay in this hotel, hope to come back again.
- Rhonda (8/5): - We had a lovely stay , we ate at the restaurant nearly every day and the food was reasonably priced and great quality. The beach especially at low tide was very shallow and some reef shoes would be a good idea. It is only a small resort with a small infinity pool. We found all the staff very friendly.
- Eva (8/5): Intimate and relaxing stay - Very relaxing stay, intimate and friendly atmosphere. The food at the hotel was exceptionally good.
- Terry (10/5): Location - Location - Whilst the hotel/room is not 5 star it is more than acceptable due to its location and cost. I had a ground floor room with a terrace that is over looking the sea and within a a few steps of the beach. The outdoor breakfast area and bar were perfect and the cost for food/drinks was very reasonable. The hotel is just towards the end of the beach street which has a lot of restaurants/cafes etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thai holiday - Ideal location and very relaxing
- Lucy (8/5): Beautiful rooms on the beach in Bo Phut - Absolutely beautiful hotel. Sadly on the days we arrived there had been a storm and them beach had washed up through the gardens. The staff couldn't be more apologetic (not that the weather is their fault!) We had the premier loft suite and it was fantastic. We will definitely try to go back again and hope for better weather! Location wise absolutely fantastic, right on the Fishermans Village beach!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel - Excellent hotel in great location. Stunning views from our balcony. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Small hotel, very nice staff, good laction on a peacefull place on the beach, just a minut walk from every thing you need.
The room on the second floor was great! Amazing view of the sea, but privet without people walking on the beach liking at your room like the ones on the beach level.
Very recommended!!
- Gill (10/5): Visit Gusto's Italian, great menu and food - We booked the loft room (no 12) which was spacious, bright, had sea views, a separate lounge area, TV/dvd which you could play your own music through and it was piped throughout, lovely bathroom with great rainforest shower, constant hot water, lovely comfy bed with nice linen quilt and pillows.
POSITIVES - lovely room, friendly helpful staff, great location at the end of Fishermans Village, on the beach, comprehensive but very reasonable menu.
NEGATIVES - and these are minor points but would make a big difference to the overall experience. The shower did not drain very well so you would have a build up of water in the bathroom. We dealt with this by putting a beach towel down to form a barrier. Housekeeping could be a lot better, we had cobwebs on the spot lights, furniture not cleaned thoroughly and tiles/mirror in bathroom with marks and toothpaste on. Breakfast yoghurt, juice and fruit was never cold. I'm not sure if it was refrigerated, but if it was it needs to be on a much colder setting. Not enough sun beds for guests when all rooms were full, some needed repairing. Pool needed a deep clean. I know the hotel is open all year so there is never a good time, but it does need a deep clean.
Baan is a lovely hotel and if I ever returned I would book the loft room again. We stayed in a superior ground floor room for one night and I'm not sure these rooms were refurbed last year. They were drab, lacked the niceties if the loft room and bathroom was dark.
- BEATRICE ERNY (8/5): A very nice Little Hotel - A very nice place to stay for your holidays, just near Fisherman's Warf. The hôtel is directly on the Beach with swimming pool and bar. A lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping in the area, really a great place.
- Dikla (6/5): Nice hotel close to the beach - The water is polluted though and the sea in not recommended to swim in.
Stuff were great, room condition is ok in general, the bed is very comfortable.
- Corina (10/5): Beautiful beachfront in the heart of the action - We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Baan Bophut. The value for money is excellent. The property is in great condition and opens up to a open air restaurant, lawn, bar and beach. The food was reasonably priced and tasty. Our room was one of the loft rooms on the top floor (no elevator) with high ceilings and a large balcony. The room was modern and comfy with unbeatable views. Everything you need is within walking distance and on Friday night the party really kicks into gear with the Night Market right on the doorstep of the hotel.
We visited for our honeymoon, but there were also families there and I would recommend it to most travelers. We stayed here to be in close proximity to the Yogarden, which I also highly recommend for yoga classes and tasty healthy food.
- john (10/5): Very nice hotel on the beach. - Hotel is on the beach. Second floor room has a very nice balcony for reading or viewing the water and Koh Phangan. There are many restaurants and shops on beach road. Hotel staff very helpful. If you plan to arrive on a Friday, come early as beach road is closed at 4 p.m. for street festival. The room was fine.
