We were located in a kind of "tree house"with a private onsen down the stairs. this is the real thing in my opinion. the outdoor public and private onsen are amazing. not to be missed if you are touring Kyushu

- Frederik (10/5): Ein magischer Aufenthalt in Kurokawa Onsen - Es war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis in dieser Unterkunft zu sein. Vom ersten Moment an wurde man sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Zimmer und die ganze Anlage sind wunderschön. Die Onsen sind ebenfalls toll. Wenn man durch das Gelände spaziert, herrscht eine einzigartige, magische Atmosphäre. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Ich kann jedem empfehlen dieses tolle Ryokan zu buchen!! Alles super!

- Brytygier (10/5): Amazing experience! - The Ryokan is really nice and quiet. A feel good place. The staff is welcoming, kind and helpful. Great Onsen! A lot to choose from: inside, outside and private baths. Comfortable Yukata provided. the room was nice and comfortable. For One night it was fine for four adults. For more nights, it might have been nicer if it was slightly bigger or two rooms would have been better. Amazing dinner and breakfast! Wish we had stayed at least 2 nights. On the list of things to do again. I liked everything! If I should say one thing, it would just be that one of the private baths was way too hot. We stepped into it knee-deep with one leg for a few seconds and had to get out. It was about 55-60 degrees C. But maybe we just have a low heat tolerance. The other baths were ALL great.

- Jonathan (9/5): Rustic charm with exceptional food - Of all the places we stayed on our 3 week Japan trip, this was probably the most authentic & charming. Set in beautiful, shaded mossy gardens with a maze of paths - this place is rather magical. Our room was large, a little quirky & rustic with a separate seating area with two big, traditional comfortable armchairs and it had its own mini indoor onsen bath with constant running hot water! The bed was in a mezzanine up some stairs. Clothing is provided for you to wear throughout your stay. In the main building is a tea room with all sorts of retro artefacts where you can help yourself to tea & coffee. In the grounds there are several open air private onsens which are wonderful. The food is a whole other experience! We were served a many course dinner and breakfast in our own private room. Outstanding and so beautifully presented and served - truly memorable. It is worth a walk around the village too - some cute shops and cafes & we enjoyed the winter illuminations after dinner. If you have mobility issues, the upstairs bed is a little tricky to access and the beams are very low. Maybe check before booking.

- ANNE CATHERINE (10/5): Superbe ryokan dans un village charmant - Très joli ryokan dans un village agréable. Plusieurs promenades possibles au départ du ryokan. Le personnel est souriant, respectueux et très gentil. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Nous avions un Onsen privé ce qui est bien mais il y a aussi 5 onsens privatisables, des onsens extérieurs et intérieurs donc le choix est vaste. Le jardin est bien aménagé et décoré. Merci pour les prêts de tenues traditionnelles et de pyjamas. L’espace salon de thé est agréable et l’espace de travail est bien aménagé. Le dîner et le petit déjeuner sont extraordinaires, aussi bons que beaux

- JRSYUAN (7/5): - 溫泉旅館的賣點古色古香，像住在森林裡 當天下午辦入住感覺手部有點搔癢，有穿衣服的部位沒有養的感覺，半夜睡到養醒看身體的皮膚長了很多疹子朋友也ㄧ樣只是沒有我嚴重，請櫃台幫忙換房間，櫃台說房間都客滿了，最後只好從2樓房間搬到1樓客廳榻榻米上睡，櫃台幫忙鋪了2個床墊免強睡到天亮，早上醒來看我大腿長出很多疹子，我不知道是房間榻榻米有塵蟎還是暖器太強沒有加濕器，我有摸房內的樑柱很乾凈沒有灰塵，所以我不知道原因在哪裡，但我看那榻榻米很舊了是應該要換了，晚餐跟早餐都很普通以這個價位來說非常貴，我每年都會來日本自駕旅行，也住過很多溫泉旅館，第一次遇到這種事，來這裡旅行的台灣客很多

- Yeo (10/5): - The staff were extremely helpful and were able to communicate with me effectively. The different in house onsens were well maintained and offered good experiences. The room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained and offered a great coffee. The property although not large had many pockets of places one could enjoy a peaceful environment. The meals were of a high quality making the dining experience extremely enjoyable. Attention to detail was amazing (see the sesame seeds!) making the meal a feast for the eyes before the tasty feast. Breakfast was also hearty and tasty.

We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base to do some fantastic walks in the area. Climbed Mt Aso, the private onsens were perfect to restore us afterwards. - 織樺 (9/5): - 環境非常舒適清幽，整體古色古香充滿溫度！還有很多細心的設備及空間：例如茶室、閱讀室、Bar... 溫泉湯屋也有多種選擇，餐點也非常用心美味！ 可惜只住了一晚，不然更希望能在這裡慢慢享受多一些時間。 這次入住的高級四人房晚上睡覺有點冷，即便關上床開了暖氣還是感覺到有冷空氣，地墊溫度很暖但頭部一直感覺有涼風。
