Guest Reviews
- Stephen (9/5): - Cleanliness, space, breakfast Dark paint/ lighting
- William (10/5): -
- Emj (9/5): Super , vriendelijk team, mooie kamer en goed eten - Mooi, schoon, sfeervol
- Barbara (9/5): - A lot of traffic noise with the road so close behind the hotel, but with secondary glazing and window closed this was kept to a minimum
- Paul (8/5): Excellent hotel - Excellent room. Good breakfast. Evening meal needs improving Evening meal
- Daphne (10/5): -
- Roger (10/5): - Excellent service, clean room, brilliant food especially full english breakfast.Only stayed 2 nights wished we had stayed longer. Will definately stay there again. We had twin beds which we booked but both had heavy double duvets .It was a warm spell and this made sleeping difficult,so much so that we both slept on top of the duvets. There was no alternative bedcovers in the room.A couple of single spare sheets would have been great.Other than that an excellent stay.
- Williamson (8/5): - We enjoyed the location. Room and facilities were good. Staff were friendly and helpful.y There wasn't anything to dislike about our stay.
- Bill (9/5): -
- Maurizio (9/5): We love this hotel - Spacious, comfortable room, very good breakfast, friendly staff WiFi was a bit temperamental. Other than that, everything was excellent
- Karen (10/5): A one night stay - A warm welcome & large comfortable room. A warm welcome too for our little dog, who was pleased to very to be served her own treat for breakfast 😄
- Timothy (8/5): Would stay again but ask for a brighter room. - Nicely decorated , good value for money , breakfast was really good. The room was very poorly lit .
- Darren (5/5): Nice place to stay but not as good as our previous visit. - The breakfast was disappointing as they had run out of a few things. Asked for an upstairs room but which was accepted when booking but got a ground floor room. The food wasn't as good as the last time we stayed.
- Jan (9/5): Comfy Inn, nice rooms and good food. - hotel rooms are nice and cosy,. the pub / restaurant has very good dinner food and the staff is very friendly was there for business and could not make the breakfast as it only starts at 7.30. Would be nice if that could be early. appreciate the take away breakfast but that is just a bagel and banana bread.
- John (8/5): Sfeervol hotel met goed eten op een prima locatie. - Sfeer
- fran (9/5): - Spacious comfy room. Well sound proofed from noise of roads. Not internally soundproofed so with wooden floors all neighbouring rooms noises echoed, children running upstairs and TV, next door door banging, noise seemed accentuated.
- Tracey (10/5): Would stay again - Staff were very friendly. The room was perfect, bed very comfortable. Accessible room as I use a wheelchair and no issues.
Had an evening meal which was lovely. Breakfast okay, poached eggs weren't runny but they changed when I asked.
- Steph (9/5): The dog had the best holiday! - Everything and everyone was so lovely Only thing that lost a score from us were the pillows. Nothing to them and couldn't get comfortable with them.
- Nik (8/5): - Location, building it lovely. Good food and breakfasts. Staff friendly. Very clean. Only one bedside table. Hard to control the heat. Would be useful to have a little bench in the bathroom for clothes. And the cold water tap in the bathroom turns the wrong way, but that's just being picky.
- Graham (9/5): Excellent staff and nice accommodation - Nice room well kept Nothing all was good
- Sally (9/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): Friendly easy comfortable and clean - Clean comfortable large rooms and outstanding breakfast N/A
- LINDA (9/5): Excellent service and delicious food, dinner was lovely and breakfast in particular was awesome - Really comfy beds, nicely decorated. Just unfortunately apparently the mastic had just been refreshed in the bathroom so there was a bit of a strong smell which I queried, but the bathroom fan was very strong and we just kept the door closed and it was fine. Staff were really great about it and gave us the option to change rooms if we wanted, although we would've had to move to a double instead of a twin so we stayed put.
- Sarah (10/5): Great Places to Stay - This is the second time we have stayed, however this time we were taking parents to join a cruise in Southampton. It's the perfect location to stay the night before. From when we arrived until we left, all members of the team, were kind, courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this great Inn. There was nothing to dislike, it was great from start to finish.
- Valerie (10/5): -
- Gary (8/5): Very pleasant stay - Very pretty thatched building. Accommodation was separate to the inn so no noise Nothing
- Grahame (10/5): - Excellent food & room
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Luke (10/5): -
- Craig (10/5): Great hotel and delicious breakfast included - Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Huge spacious room. Everything you needed for the stay including ironing facilities, hair dryer etc
- Dixie (8/5): - I had a room with my dog. The rooms were excellent and very very large Would have preferred somewhere to step out into the forest, but I knew it did not have that.
- Charles (10/5): - The Pilgrim inn is a lovely place very clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean , the shower works really well and no issues with water pressure. The room is also equipped with a Nespresso machine with four coffee pods each day plus a iron and hair dryer. The bar and restaurant is a clean tidy place to eat and drink and the service is great, the staff do a fabulous job in the bar and restaurant. There really wasn't anything I disliked, it was just a lovely place.
- Phil (10/5): -
- Bill (9/5): -
- Karanszia (6/5): Dirty room - The room was spacious. The food was very good. The staff were polite and friendly. The bedroom looked like it'd not been properly cleaned for months. The amount of dust was unbelievable. The bathroom wasn't much better. The housekeeping team really need to learn how to effectively clean a room.
- Charlotte (10/5): Amazing pub/hotel. Will be back. - Room was wonderfully decorated, cosy and warm. N/A
- Anne (10/5): Comfortable with lovely friendly staff - Lovely friendly atmosphere, very clean, near to Southampton which we needed to be. All was lovely
- Raphael (10/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): -
- Ian (8/5): An enjoyable break in an attractive location . Excellent breakfast and diner . Staff very friendly and helpful . Will st - Attractive and well maintained hotel in pleasant surroundings and conveniently located for the Beaulieu and the New Forest . Our bed was not firm enough for 2 people .
- Jean (10/5): Lovely pub and hotel - Great location. Comfortable room. Lovely food. Helpful and friendly staff. Nothing
- Donna (10/5): Very Comfortable Stay - Company booking for two operatives. Feedback from the guys was very positive. They said it was a great stay; therefore, I will book again if we need to come back to site for work. n/a
- AMANDA (7/5): Pleasant but a little disappointing - Breakfast was nice (would have been Nicer is pastries were warm)
Room was okay (just not as big as expected) bed was comfy.
Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The shower was very scaled around the drain area and the bottom of the door. The shower water kept jumping from hot to scalding to cold without us touching the setting.
Food Prices were rather high.
Room we had was upstairs and in a room with low ceiling parts which is not good if like us you are tall, my husband kept catching himself.
- Mark (9/5): Very relaxing and a great spot from which to explore the New Forest - Breakfast excellent, staff great, room very comfy and very good bar. Food good. Can't think of anything
- Kate (8/5): -
- brown (10/5): Would return back tomorrow! It was wonderful and the breakfast was first rate! - Beautiful property thatched pub and accommodation building, absolutely stunning Very close to a busy road, but no issue when inside don’t hear any road noise at all
- Robert (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): - Room and bathroom were of a good size. Good storage availability. Good range of toiletries. Breakfast was good Cleanliness of the shower area and shower head need to be of a higher standard. The food in the restaurant and wine prices we considered overpriced
- Paul (8/5): -
- Philip (10/5): Excellent place to stay and great value - Great location, lovely looking pub and accommodation block. Plenty of parking. Staff were great, very friendly and professional. We had dinner and breakfast, and the food was excellent on both occasions. They also do a menu deal in the evening which is great value. The room was really comfy, nice and clean, and was well provisioned with a coffee machine and water etc. Basically everything was great, and we'll definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
- Angela (10/5): Great establishment - Lovely setting. Breakfast is always amazing every time we stay. It was lovely to hear the chef singing as he was doing breakfast service....nice to hear happy staff.
- Alison (10/5): - It was lovely, the food is exceptional Nothing
- Susan (9/5): - Lovely overnight stay for local family party.
Had lovely lunch and breakfast in the pub.
Would recommend
- Catherine (6/5): - Food was good The room was poor and smelled a little off. There is no area to sit and dry hair. I had to drag a huge mirror across to the power outlet for the hairdryer.
- Julie (10/5): Efficient, clean and good value. - Charming, clean and spacious. Nothing to dislike.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- G (7/5): -
- Newton-Cross (9/5): - Olde worlde thatched premises, comfortable bed, hot shower. Mine Host, based at the Inn part, 50m away from the accommodation block, was exuberant in welcome, with little treats for dog visitors. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Nothing to not like!

I had ravioli as a main meal and it was very tasty but very very small.
it was the same thing with breakfast.
- sarah (10/5): Great value, excellent service! - A fantastic welcome and continued service from the front of house gentleman. Top bloke! Eggs rather overdone.
- Angela (10/5): -
- Lea (7/5): A good place but room was dark. - Breakfast good and service great. Rooms very dark.
- Maddy (9/5): -

- Sally (9/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): Apart from dear food and price of lager everything lovely - The location
The decor
That the pub is on site Food (squash ravioli)too expensive for small portion size especially as staying and paying for night too.
- Sarah (9/5): Stayed Christmas night so we could visit family, booked 2 great rooms & staff accommodating - Clean, comfortable beds
Nice breakfast Nothing
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Terry (9/5): Lovely stay - Very good, large comfortable room with everything you need Lovely thatched inn with a modern hotel built sympathetically to blend in with inn
