- Jenderny (2/5): Bad Experience WILL NOT RETURN. - Booking was very easy. The hottub was hot as it should be. Really the only 2 things I liked. I booked 2 rooms. One king room, and one queen room with 2 beds. The king bed room I pulled back the blanket and saw a bug. Then we got put into another room and we checked that one before we unloaded our belongings and that one had signs of bugs. We didnt stay the night there at all. We only got a refund for the king room and not the queen room. We didnt even stay the night we were there for 3 hours at most before we left. I am disappointed and unhappy. I feel we should have gotten at least half refunded for the queen room since we didnt even stay. We did get a full refund for the king room & that was all. Will not be returning again!
- josephlA5275DJ (10/5): I would stay here again if I was in the area. - Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good shower pressure, nice breakfast area and selection, nice pool/ hot tub area. Nice people. Furniture is slightly outdated but definitely a great value.

Pool area clean land hot tub working great😁 breakfast was good and coffee great. Will make this our "go to" place to stay when in the area!!
Looking forward to trying a Best Western in Door County next! Thank you...Jonnie faucet very hard to turn on and a grab bar in tub and a clothes hook in bathroom, shower was good

- Justin (4/5): Not great - Breakfast was good Management was rude
- Oleksandr (10/5): Will come back again for sure! - Clean & friendly personnel We had a water leak in bathroom coming from the toilet. It smelled a little, but over all it was not bad.

- Ilana (3/5): We stayed here two years ago and had a lovely time. We will not stay here again. - The location was great for going to Devil's Lake State Park and to visit other attractions around Baraboo. The cleaning staff was very nice. Making waffles in the morning was fun. Our room was so muggy that our wet clothes were unable to dry after two days. There was no internet service in our room. There was a clog in our tub that caused the water to come up to our ankles each time we showered. The treadmill in the gym - one of only three cardio machines - was broken. The pool was closed one night of our stay, which was very inconvenient for our six year old who wanted to swim each night. The laundry facilities were out of order. Both coffee machines ran out of coffee one morning. The breakfast is entirely made up of highly processed foods - even the fruit was old and inedible.
- Gary (7/5): Continue to update please. - Breakfast was good. Very dated but they appear to be updating slowly.
- Parks (1/5): Poor experience, expected better from a best wes - I didn't end up staying. Blood stain on bed spread, door handle for bathroom door fell off in my hand. Extremely disappointed. Would like a refund.
- Esly (8/5): -
- Rita (10/5): -
- Joanna (7/5): - Location was convenient. Room was clean. Room smelled like cigarette smoke.
- Connor (9/5): Great for the price. - The breakfast exceeded my expectations, even for a hotel breakfast. We had no problems staying here. The staff was attentive to our needs. For the price, this is a great place to stay. There was a bit of construction while we were staying there.
- John (5/5): Overpriced and lacking cleanliness. Breakfast was tragic. Could do better. - Nothing Very poor for the price and I booked here based on your reviews. Not clean.
- Guerrero (7/5): Okay but needs curtains - The room was good, clean, and comfortable The room was on the first floor, the one bad thing is that there is no curtains. It’s was terrible to fall asleep with car lights shining through. The room needs curtains.
- John (10/5): - The Breakfast was great, and the hotel was about ten minutes from Circus World Museum.
- Doane (1/5): Stay away from this hotel until it’s beeen renovated and under new management. - Absolutely nothing to like about this property!
I do not recommend this hotel. The service was deplorable, the facilities were less that desirable, the rooms are dated, beds and mattresses need to be replaced.
iIn the breakfast area, overhead multiple guests complaining about the rooms.
The free breakfast, was horrid. The batter for the waffles was rancid , the eggs, sausage, and gravy looked as if they’d been sitting out for days.

- tim (3/5): - Jacuzzi in my room. The hot tub was luke warm, pool was cold. The area had a snowstorm the day before, not 1 inch of the parking lot was plowed, no sidewalks shoveled. I was 1 of 2 customers that stayed that night.

- R7713ZVhelens (10/5): Baraboos best and most affordable place to stay - We’ve stayed here many times. Great location, friendly staff. Pool is always clean and warm as is the hot tub. Beds are comfy and room nice and cool. Great for sleeping.
- tracytK4348EF (10/5): November weekend jaunt - West Baraboo was a great little area to stay in. The hotel was quaint and provided a place to rest, relax, with all the amenities.
- Sergio (10/5): - La habitación Habían algunos insectos
- Poindexter (5/5): - The fact that the bathroom smelled like piss and it was mold on the walls in the bathroom.
- Coats (10/5): -
- Marc (7/5): -
- Ashley (2/5): -
- LLOYD (8/5): -
- Carmen (4/5): - Bathroom covered in mold spots.
- Denise (8/5): We stay here every year and we love it - Close to our vending location , clean and safe In 140, the shower didn't work
- Daydream565795 (2/5): What happened to best Western? - Never anyone at front desk. Half an hour to check in at midnight. Bathroom light was on, vent fan on. Big bottle of Lysol in the bathroom, zero toilet paper, poop stains, and toothpaste on the floor. I’m a travel Nurse —stayed there five hours (midnight to 5 AM). Upon checkout (still couldn’t find anyone), they said there was nothing they could do to compensate me, and I would have to check with management (called for over a week and no one would answer the phone).
- Jerry (7/5): Nice place to stay - Breakfast was really good with a good selection of food Could use grab bars in the bathtub/shower
- Sarah (8/5): - Towels and sheets were clean, AC worked great. But room was dusty in places, bathroom was pretty small. And if you’re not on the top floor you’re gonna hear a lot of thumping sounds from those above you. They do have complimentary ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Overall it was a nice stay.
- Randall (8/5): - We really only slept at the hotel and didn't use any amenities or eat breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth. The property was a little dated. The bathroom and shower needed a bit of repair work. Overall, I would stay here again.
- Matheau (2/5): - Room was dirty. Stains on sheets. Floor was dirty. Room and hallways smelt like smoke. We ended up checking out and staying at a different hotel.
Hotels.com only gave us 70% of our stay back. Very disappointing!
- Victoria (4/5): Needs work - The hot tub in room did not work, and all kinds of hair and debris floated on the water when I tried to use it so I did not use it as it was disgusting. The remote for the TV needed a new battery so it worked but very slow. There were tacks poking through the carpeting that caught my socks so I had to wear shoes in the room. Someone lit off fireworks the second night behind the building. They were remodeling the check in area so all kinds of dust and disorder when checking in. Elevator was full of construction dust.
- Diane (10/5): - Would definitely stay here again. CLean and quiet, very breakfast served- good variety of food to chose from. Front desk and kitchen staff very attentive.
- Bruce (8/5): - the parking was easy to access, the conditions were clean and presentable, the staff was friendly and courteous and the area was quiet accommodating
- Kyl (7/5): Good value for your money. -
- Jill (6/5): - Nice counter check-in person. The floor in bathroom wasn't attached to sub-floor by toilet. If the sink would've been outside the bathroom, we could've gotten ready to go faster. If we wanted to sleep in the construction workers would've definitely woke us. Coffee tasted crappy.
- cherylsE9453KN (8/5): Nice relaxing stay - Room was very clean, bed good, and service at the desk was helpful. Lobby coffee was delicious! Nice continental breakfast. If looking to visit the Dells area and wish to stay somewhere quieter and more calm this is the place. Would stay again. Thank you!
- Steve (8/5): - Great room with hot tub.
- Adam (10/5): - Highly recommend
- Amy (8/5): - Breakfast was great! I was a bit disappointed that the lobby was in disarray getting new floors. The room was clean and quiet. It was convenient to the side road to gas station and store for a quick snack. When I checked out the floors were almost done and the lobby was being set up again.
- Pawel (10/5): - Nice room . Nice pool . We like it
- William (1/5): -
- Gregg (8/5): - Somewhat.
- Agnes (8/5): - Parking fine. Laundry machines were not working but we didn't need them.
- jim (4/5): Not worth the money - It was ok. Lukewarm eggs and sausage. Room was too tiny for all the guests. Thankfully they had waffles Desk clerk unsociable. On arrival he was staring at the computer with the phone to his ear. Never said a word. Never acknowledged my presence. Finally hung up several minutes later without saying a word. I had requested a first floor room due to my husbands and my mobility issues. Not handicapped but getting up there in age and pains. We’re put on second floor. The toilet was too low with no safety rails! Was informed all toilets the same. Acted like I was bothering him. Reservations made 3 weeks in advance were for 2. Had one tiny bottle of shampoo and one tiny bar of soap and was put out because I asked for more Refrigerator was broken and his only response to that was do you want me to come look it it? Was not sold out and could have moved us but didn’t. The tv reception was very grainy and their printed list of channels wasn’t close to what the tv had. Housekeeping did make my bed but only half did the other bed as if they left halfway thru? Only one ice machine for 3 floors and it was on the main floor. Not the best western we are used to and will never go back
- anakuperina (4/5): Old hotel, overpriced - The price is too high for what you get. The hotel is old, and in the lobby by the reception they were doing repairs and replacing the floor. Breakfast was terrible, with flies flying around. Definitely not recommended.”
- Kevin (8/5): - The laundry area wasn‘t operational . I enjoyed the shower with the nice showerhead the. really worked; it wasn‘t limed up like many others are
- 4PATTIB2023 (10/5): Greatbplace and pretty quiet. - We were "home" for my 45th class reunion and were greeted by a great host at the hotel. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
- pablo (8/5): - We stayed there because we went to Devil’s lake and it was very close to the hotel …
- James (10/5): - Our room was clean and the breakfast was great
- Maryann (6/5): - The hotel was nice and my daughter and I liked how the hallway looked. The room was okay. There wasn't enough lighting in the room. Also there were some cracks in the bathroom. But, I would have to say the beds were VERY uncomfortable. TOO soft. I was having a hard time finding a place to sit and lay down. My daughter had a hard time sleeping. She ended up having back issues. The pillows were too soft. Also, my daughter and I smelled burnt toast in the stairway leading outside to the parking next to Bonxos. It wasn't a pleasant smell. Also, the staff never mentioned you can use your key card to open the smaller door.
- Jeremy (7/5): First time at this hotel - Very clean hotel. Breakfast area was very nice. Spacious and modern. Bathrooms were very small and dated.
- Maryann (10/5): - I came here with my daughter on 9/15/25 and my daughter tried 3 times to get into the room. But, then my daughter was able to get in with no problem. The amount to pay for soda and water is $3.50. That is ridiculous. The room is nice. My bed was fine, but it was too soft for my daughter. We were not told about the door leading to the side parking lot that you could use the keycard to get in.
- steve (8/5): - This was a really good hotel....except when we got back to our room after hiking all day, we found a cup on the sink filled with ants; and they were abundant in the sink itself.
When I delivered a cup of ants in a bag to the desk they were 'concerned" but not "that" concerned. I was told I would hear from the manager and he would "probably take care of us"...no contact yet
- Shelley (10/5): Great Value - Was only there for 1 night but the room was large, with an extra chair and a desk. The bathroom was also good, although finding the button to flush the toilet was a bit of a hunt (on top of the tank - beneath the extra toilet paper roll). The breakfast was far more than I would expect for the price of the room. Overall, a better space and experience than the price might suggest.
- Tanzan13 (10/5): Comfortable stay - The room was comfortable with a good bed. I especially appreciated a desk chair that I could adjust to a comfortable height without putting a pillow on it. Breakfast was standard for Best Western.
- Along (9/5): Definitely will stay here next time we visit the Wisconsin Dells area! - Building was very well maintained. Staff was pleasant. Great location in Baraboo Wi. Breakfast was o.k. but plain. We like to eat out at local restaurants anyway, so this didn't matter.
- Linda (10/5): - Room was very clean and comfortable
- MAUREEN (10/5): Excellent - The staff were very kind and professional. I asked to switch my room assignment at check'in and they made it happen super easily. Very clean, nice amenities and free breakfast with scrambled eggs , sausage, waffles, etc. Great location next to hiking trails nearby in Mirror Lake and Devils Lake State Parks. People all over town were nice. Quaint downtown with great bookstore and a Wednesday morning farmers market. Found a great Japanese restaurant too. Recommend this place.
- Johnson (8/5): Nice room and great staff - Great for the money Tredmill was broken
- luggageinhand4 (2/5): Deceptive reviews- use caution! - I wanted to believe this hotel would be as good as it was rated but was disappointed immensely.
It’s is incredibly old and shows in every way.
My fist room the toilet was broken and when we mentioned it the staff said the valve was shut off on the toilet so they turned it on but one flush and the toilet leaked all over the floor and onto the carpet. Which we should have known as when we checked in we thought it was weird the carpet seemed wet.
We were about to move into the second room only to discover it looked like the floor had never been vacuumed.
Went to our third room- it was fine- however still seemed like they barely vacuumed the floor and everything about it was old. Felt dingy.
I just cant imagine for the rates people pay for this place that they don’t to update it a bit.
The breakfast was also disappointing. One of the worst breakfasts at a hotel I’ve ever had and not to mention the space was so messy! I understand it’s hard to get workers but seriously- find someone just for breakfast to have them clean up and refresh instead of your front deck person would only make sense.
Do yourself a favor and stay someplace else even if it’s more money! It will be worth it!
