We were beyond pleased with The Vagabond. We will definitely return. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And location - excellent restaurants and bakery just next door. It's like an oasis in the middle of Mi-Mo. The pool area is nicely appointed with areas to either sit in the sun or shade. We shared a bottle of wine poolside (the small party store next door has a great selection). The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable.

Super friendly staff - shout out to Linda for the laughs. Room was comfortable and clean, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee in the lobby. Pro Tip: Until they open the restaurant, walk next door to the Caracas Bakery for fantastic pastries, breakfast toasts and lattes. Bring them back and enjoy poolside!

The room we got needs a refresher, with stains on the bed's headboard and sticky remote to name a few. For the price point we would've expected more. The atmosphere was okay, however leaves a lot room for improvement. Cleanliness room needs a deep clean, the small details add up. We weren't in the room long enough to report back about noise levels.

• WahooNKS (10/5): Just WOW! - The Original Historically Renowned Rat Pack Hangout in Miami! We've stayed at The Vagabond Motel pre-cruise the past 2 years. What a find this was! And, it's close to both the airport , cruise port, and many restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are fabulous, fun & very retro if you like that vibe! The pool is huge & the entire property is beautiful and immaculate. The property was originally a popular hangout for the Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.) in the 50's & the remodel mirrors this era in a fun, relaxing, retro vibe. The Vagabond Motel was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 2014. A placard is prominently displayed near the front of the Motel with a brief history of its architectural style and relevancy in Miami's evolving deterioration and rebuilding of the MiMo area through community support. • Cynthia (8/5): I really liked it there. Not sure about location but the pool was nice and the room was great. - My shower was brilliant. The reception staff were so nice and friendly. Room was big , clean, comfortable, lots of channels and a dehumidifier. Nice touch Pool bar was beautiful and so sad it wasn’t open?! That would have been a real sweet place to hang out. Coffee should have had real cream or half&half and possibly a non dairy creamer instead of powdered creamer.

• Gilsenan (10/5): A great Hotel - We stayed one night at the Vagabond. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. This was our first trip to miami as we went on a cruise. Locally we ate at the night at the Blue Collar restaurant which was great and breakfast at Jimies eastside dinner for breakfast. Very happy with our experience.

Many of our family have also had excellent stays at different times at the Vagabond. The pool is clean and lovely with comfortable lounge chairs around and beach towels provided. The rooms are quiet and airy, and the decor is beautiful. The staff are always very friendly and helpful; highly recommended. Excellent restaurants and a great bakery are just a few steps away.

We had an issue with our TV (previous guest had changed it to Spanish) the hotel were great at helping us. We took the bus down to Bayside which took about 25mins and was regular and easy. We booked our other nights after our cruise at a different hotel because it appeared this hotel wouldn't store our luggage. on arrival they said they would have done. If we had of known this we would have stayed their on our return journey.

• X2085RLandresb (10/5): An Amazing Hotel Option in Miami Modern (Mimo) District! - We stayed at the Vagabond for 5 nights from Friday to Wednesday. The hotel is in the middle of the Miami Modern (Mimo) district in super close distance to amazing restaurants with many breakfast options (like Caracas Bakery) and Dinner options as well, and close enough to North Beach (12 minutes). The hotel has been fully renovated and it is extremely clean (spotless rooms and hotel in general). The rooms are spacious and we love the decor and furniture. A true boutique hotel. The pool is amazing and great to spend a full day since the water in the pool is warmth at all times! It has enough pool beds, chais, and tables for a great set up. There is no pool bar or restaurant, but you can bring your own beverages and snacks to the pool. The staff, from maintenance to room keepers to the reception desk, was exceptional and very helpful at all times with all request. They pay attention to all details and drive for best customer service with all our questions and requests. You also get 2 bottles of water everyday and also free parking in front of the property or around the property. We just LOVED IT and can’t wait to come back to the Vagabond Hotel soon!!!
• G1591HYront (8/5): Terrific little hideaway, perfect for pre cruise! - This IS a funky little hotel...more like the motor inns of yesteryear. They have done a great job of creating a 60's vibe. The rooms are basic and clean with groovy wall art. Bathrooms are terrific, as is the shower. We also stayed pre cruise but with construction around it took a little longer getting to the port. Lots of restaurants around. The pool is great as is the outdoor sitting area. Bar was getting renovated so not open at the time...but my guess is that it would fit the atmosphere. Staff was very good too!

• Tourist58510474209 (10/5): Delightful hotel - Really delightful small hotel, completely renovated. Clean, well-decorated; great pool and pool area with its little bar. Very friendly and helpful staff, from management to front desk to housekeeping. Some good restaurants within one block, easy walk. We stay before cruising, and only a very easy and short drive to the port. Note: be careful and book directly; the first sites that come up on search are not the Vagabond's site.

ALL night. I was there for one night and it was just impossible to sleep. I'll never know what it was, but I'm not coming back to find out.

Though it’s not in the center of sightseeing spots, there are a lot of good restaurants nearby (We We’s Bistro and the outstanding Nido Caffe for Italian) and a beautiful pool area.
• reneemT6347PD (10/5): Charming & comfy spot in MiMo area - The retro, mid-century vibe, both in the rooms and throughout the property, gave it so much personality, and my room was very comfortable and clean. Each morning, I’d head to the lobby for a cup of coffee, chat with people there, and then make my way to the charming pool area. In the evenings, my friend and I would relax on the loungers before calling it a night. The hotel team also had great recommendations, and transit was easy for getting to much of what I wanted to see in Miami. I’m already looking forward to coming back, especially once the restaurant is open, though there was still plenty within walking distance.

The staff was most exceptional. They really made me feel like a valued guest, took care of all my needs, and it was clear they enjoyed getting to know their guests. There are also several amazing restaurants within a block of the hotel. Would definitely recommend!

When we asked for another room on the lower level we were told the hotel was booked up. The air conditioner could not cool the room. We requested service three times. The hotel employee would come to the room and play with the remote until the air came out cool. After they left the AC would stop working. It was an uncomfortable night.

• guilhemyvesa (8/5): Great Miami Modern (MiMo) style hotel - Very nice place with a lot of character. Rooms are modern, clean, original and the pool is definitely a highlight of this historic place. Very friendly staff. Just regret that the restaurant was under renovation, but the bakery / café next door is very good. I highly recommend the Vagabond Hotel.

• sginmd (10/5): Great hotel in Miami! - Truly a great gem of a hotel in Miami. Reasonable rate for the room which was spacious and clean. The day beds around the pool were perfect for relaxing. I could have stayed here all week! The hotel was also able to accommodate our early arrival (9am). While we did have to pay half of the rate for the day, it was worth it after getting up incredibly early to travel. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.
• F2536BJninam (10/5): Lovely Retro Hotel - The Vagabond's location was perfect and free parking was an added bonus. We loved the retro feel and hotel was very clean. Our room was spacious and very well appointed and it was very comfortable and the shower felt like a spa. We also enjoyed the pool area and swimming was delightful and just the right temperature with easy access from our room. It was very quiet and we would definitely stay here again. Staff was very accommodating. The restaurant was closed for renovations and the staff offered other great places to eat that were within walking distance.

• G-girlUSA (8/5): Fun, Unique Motel - The hotel is surrounded in a diverse location. Lots of restaurants and cafe's in walking distance. The 50's and 60's vibe is very unique. The rooms are updated, clean and spacious. I loved the oversized shower and large bathroom counter space. The pool was my favorite place to read my book and visit with family. We had pool towels in the room and bathrobes at the ready. The free coffee in the lobby was the best hotel coffee I have ever had by far. They pride themselves on the coffee. It has is minor drawbacks, like carrying luggage up the stairs, but then this just adds to the ambiance. Couldn't have been more please and would stay again.
• dawnjP1153CS (10/5): Loved the Vagabond! - The Vagabond Hotel was amazing! The room my friend and I shared was spacious and clean. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Although there is no restaurant on premise, we received an extensive list of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The Vagabond is situated in the MiMo section of Miami - which is the perfect place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. I highly recommend the Vagabond; it was fantastic.

Pool bar was closed which was disappointing. If pool bar was open would five 5 stars. Hope it and restaurant bounce back because otherwise it’s a fabulous place!

Very clean! - This hidden gem is located in a great spot within walking distance to quite a few restaurants. The motel will surprise you with its special touches. Like robes, which you would not expect from a motel. Lovely staff, well maintained rooms and it is extremely clean. The pool area is serene with nice lounges and beautiful well maintained landscaping. Great place!

Recently stayed again and had another great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well designed. The location is very convenient, and the staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful, and the retro, mid-century vibe gives the hotel so much character and charm. It’s a relaxing, stylish place that always feels special. We’ve had nothing but positive experiences here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommended.

• B6350ZEsusanm (10/5): Upbeat retro property convenient to the sites. - We love staying at The Vagabond and come here every time we are in Miami. he staff are great (shout out to May,Billie,and Lance) and the rooms are bright and clean with a marvelous retro appeal and colors. The property is well maintained with lovely greenery and a sparkling pool. The motel is located in the Mimo historic district and convenient to the Design District, Wynwood, and the Beach. So many great restaurants to choose from and we had breakfast every morning at the fabulous Caracas Bakery which serves wonderful organic eggs, fresh sourdough and superb pastries. The rates are super reasonable and the other guests all had great things to say about the motel.

• Gafellow (10/5): Excellent stay at a wonderful property - I found the Vagabond via Tripadvisor, and the excellent reviews proved to be solid! This property is in the middle of the Miami Modern District which showcases wonderful examples of midcentury architecture on Biscayne Boulevard. The hotel has been restored beautifully and very nicely furnished; we were so comfortable in our large room, soaring sealing, and gracious bath. The pool area, which is lushly landscaped, provided us a perfect spot for a moonlight cocktail before dinner. The staff and management were uber friendly, and made certain we had all we needed to be comfortable. The price was very reasonable, and the location central to much Miami has to offer. While we were there for only one night in advance of leaving on a holiday cruise, I would absolutely come back for another visit.

I accidentally dropped my wallet outside my door at night, and it was returned to me first thing the next morning—with nothing missing. I am incredibly grateful for the honesty and care shown. Highly recommended.
