- Samson (10/5): Très bel hôtel et merci au personnel! - L’emplacement avec une vue magnifique. Le drap tendu au dessus du lit pour éviter de recevoir des petits bouts de plafonds (ce que nous avons pu avoir dans d’autres hôtels). La réactivité du personnel et leur gentillesse. Nous avons eu une personne malade et ils ont été prévenant et réactif, merci à eux. La baignoire-spa n’était pas très propre et seulement 1h pour prendre le petit déjeuner. C’est très court et ne nous laisse pas beaucoup de marge.

- Maria Teresa (9/5): Un hotel cueva agradable - El hotel en si es muy bonito, limpio, gran vista a los globos en las mañanas desde la terraza. Es un poco retirado del centro de goreme aunque al lado hay almacenes de artesanías y uno que otro restaurante. Hay que subir por un caminito de piedras que no es muy apto para gente mayor o con algún problema de movilidad. Limpio, cómodo, camas muy buenas y desayuno bien Que me pareció un poco alejado de goreme, debíamos tomar taxi para ir a la ciudad principal
- Claudon (10/5): Une vue imprenable - Hôtel avec une superbe vue !! Attention, elle se mérite. Il faudra donc grimper "quelques" marches pour y accéder, mais pas de panique pour les moteurisés, il y a un accès à par la route. L'hôtel est situé sur le flan de falaise. La vue est imprenable sur les différentes vallées. Nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir des ballons, mais je n'ai aucun doute sur le fait que vous puissiez les admirer depuis les terrasses. Vous pourrez également accéder facilement à pas mal de randonnées (zelve, rose et red vallée). Un beau couché de soleil sur l'église juste au dessus de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est extra. Le personnel de l'hôtel adorable. Notre chambre propre ! Si vous avez choisi la ville de Cavusin pour votre séjour, je recommande ! La proximité de notre chambre avec les autres chambres. (on peut entendre les voisins lorsqu'ils sont dehors). Mais c'est un détail.

- Dilsad (8/5): fairyland - otelin konumu çok güzel manzarası harika çalışnlar oldukça güleryüzlü ve yardımcı, yalnız yaz aylarında otelin kliması olmadığından odalar biraz sıcak gece geç saatte serinleyince rahatlıyor. bunun dışında kahvaltı servisi oldukça iyi çeşitli ve lezzetli.

- Rui (1/5): Mouldy musky unbearable smell - inability for owners to take accountability - Location was good for balloon viewing TLDR - CONS: unbearable mouldy musty smell due to poor ventilation in the suite room. Inability for management to accept that there was a problem with the room. No sound insulation so can hear conversation of neighbours and dogs barking. Stayed here at the king suite room 111 with my wife and two kids for one night before demanding a change of rooms. The ventilation was almost non existent, and the bathtub was set very deep in the room and next to the master bed, which led to a very strong musty smell, so bad that it was difficult to sleep. It was so strong and pervasive that even after an hour or two in the room, de-sensitisation to the smell doesn’t help. The management was dismissive and stated that it’s just the cave smell. I’ve stayed previously at cave rooms and know what is acceptable and what is a health hazard. This was most certainly unacceptable and definitely a health hazard. It was only after complaining separately on two occasions to the owner, and after demanding to either change rooms or I’ll checkout, the management conceded and switched me to a smaller standard non-suite room 108. The bathtub in the room was near the window therefore, there was significantly less musty smell and one could at least sleep. Clearly, not all the rooms have the problem of room 111, although 108 utilised a perfume smell to mask the mustiness. While I appreciate the change in room which at least made it possible to sleep, I was very disappointed by two aspects. Firstly, management’s refusal to concede that there is a problem with the suite I had paid for. They insist no one else has complained yet reviews online suggest otherwise! And secondly, after changing to a smaller standard room still charged me the full suite room for 3 nights despite the suite not being fit for human stay. It is not about the money, but more the principal of at least accepting responsibility and acknowledging there is a fundamental issue with their hotel room.
- Emin (7/5): Despite these minor inconveniences, I enjoyed my time there and would recommend it for those looking - The location is fantastic great view of balloons from our room .The bellboy a friendly soul with a genuine smile guided me to my cave room. Yes, a room carved into the very rock! It felt like stepping back in time, yet with all the modern comforts. The absence of air conditioning made the nights a bit uncomfortable, especially during warmer weather. the breakfast. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations and I found it to be unworthy of the experience. I would recommend dining outside instead, as there are plenty of great options nearby.

- Harriet (7/5): Great views but very hot in summer! - Good location if you want some peace and quiet, but you need a car/taxi to get into town. Great views from the room across the valley and to watch the sunrise hot air balloons. Comfy bed. No air con, and our room was like a sauna in the heat. We had a fan after the first night which helped, but the room was still a few degrees hotter than outside (which is very hot in summer!). Be warned for summer months.

A lot of patience in working with me of best possible activities, restaurant recommendations and also negotiating the best price on some of the tour packages.

To see the balloons rise up all around you in the early morning maybe even more exciting tha - Great view of balloons taking off, true cave like experience, accommodating, nice breakfast, clean, friendly staff. This is a true cave hotel. The time we were there it was very hot and the hotel does not have air conditioning. They gave us a fan upon request which made it bearable. I originally reduced points for this but realize that hot and cold are based on each individual. Also the owner has stated they will address this.
- Aijaz (2/5): Could have been better, if the rooms had air-conditioning or at least a fan. - The staff in the hotel were quite friendly & helpful, especially Bilal. Location is very nice! Owners/management were not friendly at all. Father is the management of the hotel, the daughter is at the reception & the wife takes care of the kitchen for Breakfast. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, they claimed that all the rooms are well ventilated & if required, portable fans will be provided, we had booked 4 rooms & they had provided only 2 fans, saying "Thats all what they have" We could get only 2 fans & we had 4 rooms booked. They should at least have sufficient fans available for all rooms. Breakfast timings were very odd, only from 9-10, which is very unusual for any hotels. Particularly in Cappadocia, when you wake up before sunrise to see the hot air balloons or if you go for the hot air balloon ride, you are back to hotel by 7 am. One cannot keep waiting for the Breakfast to open until 9 and if you go back to bed at 7, you might not be able to wake up at 9. At 10 sharp, they start picking up the breakfast spread. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly during the summer months. Although, they said the rooms are ventilated & we will not feel the requirement for even the fans but the rooms were really hot & not comfortable to sleep, out of our 4 rooms, only 1 room was cool enough to sleep comfortably. Management of the hotel was very unfriendly.
- Khalid (2/5): - Property had good view of balloons in the morning. The staff was helpful in the morning but was rude in the evening. The descriptions of the room was not true, we were supposed to have a king size bed and another bed but only had a double bed at most. There is no air conditioning in the room so it was extremely hot. Our jacuzzi in the room stank up the room like rotten eggs and we were not able to use it. Building too far from other things and would not recommend this hotel.
- Mark (10/5): - Stayed at the Fairyland Cave Hotel with my wife and 8 year old son. Mehmet, the owner reached out before our visit and helped us arrange our hot air balloon adventure for a price less than we could find online and gave us splendid recommendations for sightseeing in the area (we had our own rental car). Equally important, the hotel and location were beautiful and atmosphere quite serene. Mehmet showed us old pictures of how he renovated the old caves into this beautiful hotel, it was quite amazing! We travel the world extensively and highly recommend this hotel.

- Mehmet (10/5): Exceptional - First of all the view is amazing. Hotel is on the top of Çavuşin, where is located at the point of departure of the balloons. Hotel has mystic cave rooms, the rooms are very clean and they are cleaning every day. Breakfast is also great, everyday has different kind of foods and they are delicious. Also hotel is in the middle of the area, so you can wander everywhere easily.

Stated un a beautiful Cave suite with hot tub. This a very romántica AND peaceful place, do not pass this one up! Nothing not to like, everything was spot on!

If you are not able to climb a lot of steps it would not be a good fit. The owner offered to drive us to restaurants in town. The rooms are very unique and the bathrooms have a lot of room.

We will visit again with the family for sure. We felt like our home & was very relaxed. "Joy " was the icing to the cake !!!

Mehmet, the owner, does everything he can to help you, breakfast is delicious, the location is perfect for watching balloons at sunrise and the sunset, lots of hiking nearby... Was very sad to leave! Tip: if you are not driving in, cabs usually only bring you to the bottom of the hill, so you will need to carry your luggage up a large flight of stairs yourself. The hotel can arrange a shuttle from the airport for you (fee) which will bring you right to the entrance.

- David (10/5): A great little gem - The owner was very helpful and arranged almost all our time here and we packed a lot in. I only wish I had longer. Room was spotless and everything in place. Only small thing was a light not working and one shower door missing although it was is a massive bathroom that was fully tiled so no issues with water from the shower. The area is a little quite out of season but just enough open within walking distance as well as restaurants willing to give you a free lift

- David (10/5): Amazing! So much more than a balloon ride!! - Absolutely the highlight of our trip to Turkey. Beautiful hotel set at the highest point in Cavusin. Mehmet and Bulent are great people, helped with our tours and balloon ride, and made us feel like we were old friends. The Fairyland Cave Hotel was a welcome bit of peace and quiet after the craziness of Istanbul. Be sure to explore the old church in the cave just 50 yards from the hotel as well as the valley over the ridge behind the hotel. Wish we would have spent an extra couple days there as there was so much more we would have like to explore. Overall I can't believe there is any better place to stay in all of Cappadocia. Plan 3 or 4 days at least, you won't be sorry!
- salome (4/5): nice rooms, awful guest relations - the hotel is located in a beautiful picturesque location. the room was big and very nice but since those are real caves, it was very humid. the hotel is a bit far from any nearest town center, so you need a car to get there, if you want. the most unpleasant situation was the we were told that due to expedia;s mistake, the room we booked was not available and we had to pay more for the room, although in email we were told it would not be the case. totally unprofessional and shortsighted. some other unpleasant ways of handling extras and also other surprising charges. so make sure you ask what you need to pay for what, even if you think you are invited :) also, the way information about restaurants or other activities in town shared with us, was very biased!! lots of self-interest involved. so try to get as much information about where to go and what to do independent of the hotel. do your own research in advance.
