• Lauren (6/5): - The rooms were very spacious, they were cleaned everyday and it wasn’t too far from the main strip. Sometimes the power cut out and the seat around the pool area was quite random and not always enough for everyone.

• Guillaume (9/5): Belle adresse à Khaolak - Petit hôtel simple bien situé dans Khaolak, 100m de la plage, 10/15min à pied du centre. L'hôte et le personnel sont très charmants, prêts à rendre service (taxi, excursion...) dès qu'on leur demande quelque chose. Les chambres sont nettoyées tous les jours. La piscine est un gros plus et le petit déjeuner est excellent. Une très bonne adresse sur Khaolak que nous recommandons. Peut être la literie un peu trop ferme à notre goût

DOOR WAS BROKEN AND COULD NOT BE LOCKED. HOTEL DID NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE OUR COMPLAINTS AND DID NOTHING TO ASSIST. DO NOT STAY HERE EVERYTHING COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. THE GROUNDS WERE DIRTY AND UNKEPT. THE ROOMS WERE DISPICABLE AND MOULDY AND FILTHY. STAFF WILL NOT REPSOND TO ANY COMMUNICATIONS. VERY POOR. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE
• Mareike (7/5): One night stay - The owner is really nice. She arranged transport and was quiet helpful. The location is good, quiet area and the pool was refreshing. They have cats and dogs. The room was a smelly and its a bit outdated. I find it sad that a single fish is kept alone in a small tank, without plants or any place to retreat to.

• clint (5/5): - Frukosten var bra, de tog hand om tvätt och var gullig och hjälpsam personal. De som bodde i andra rummen stannade länge. Perfekt för budgetresenärer. Rummet var mindre än jag trodde. Sängen var ganska hårt och fick en för stor kudde (som jag sen bytte). Lakan och täcke var blandning mellan överkast och överdrag. Wifi fungerade dåligt och vi hade lite problem med att vårt nyckelkort glappade lite så strömmen gick.

• Amalie (9/5): - Had a wonderful time at Khaolak Summer House Resort, the place itself is nice, rooms are comfortable and clean with good space for storage, nice sized fridge, rack for drying towels and swimwear outside, decent pool (though I ended up never using it), and it's in perfect location, away from the main street but super close to it and the beach. Would stay again. Not an active dislike but while the bungalows have big windows they are all so close together that you end up having to shut your curtains to keep things private so if you prefer natural light this might be not be best spot.

The hostess really nice and kind Breakfast not to varied but in general, for European standards, breakfast in Thailand is not as important as we are used to.

• Juergen (10/5): Wir kommen gerne wieder - Sehr gepflegte Anlage mit komfortablen und sauberen Zimmern; tägliche Zimmerreinigung; Frühstück inklusive mit viel Auswahl und super nettem Service. Wir waren 12 Nächte hier, wären gerne wieder gekommen, aber leider war ausgebucht - aber wenn wir wieder nach Khao Lak kommen, dann hier her 😍🍀 Alles bestens, einige Minuten Fußweg zum Strand und zu den Restaurants, dadurch aber sehr ruhig und entspannt 😎

Tout près de la mer, au calme avec piscine. Rien Convient aux personnes qui recherchent le calme tout en ayant accès aux animations avec 10 mn de marche

• Gabriella (10/5): Wonderful, family friendly rooms! - Staff were so lovely. Rooms were very soundproof (Which is the dream with a baby). We paid for a baby cot, which was beautiful, our son slept "like a baby!". All the other quests there were older, which meant the pool/ general environment was lovely and chill. Pool was great. Breakfast isn't the most exciting, but was fine.... if you're looking to find authentic, cheaper food then you do have to walk at least 30 mins to the main road - but that's our fault for not knowing the different areas. Food choices around - v expensive/touristy

• habibe (8/5): Wir fühlten uns wie zu Hause - Ein kleines Resort mit erfrischendem Pool, umzingelt von Bungalows. Geräumige Zimmer, sauber, wurde jeden Tag von der Housekeeping gepflegt. Scheint sehr beliebt zu sein mit deutschen Rentnern, die dort überwintern. Das Allerbeste ist die Managerin, "Bum", so freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben Mofas von ihr zu einem günstigen Preis gemietet und sie waren einwandfrei. Der Bang Niang Strand ist nur 10 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Leider ist der Strand sehr von der Erosion beschädigt, abe trotzdem schön zum Baden mit einem netten Cafe (Long Beach) und ein sehr freundliches Restaurant namens Chicken House mit ausgezeicheneter thailändische Küche. Die Klimaanlage war etwas laut, sonst alles in Ordnung.

• Jessica (8/5): - Süße kleine Bungalowanlage. Sehr herzliche und tierliebe Betreiberin. Auf dem Gelände gab es 2 Katzen, 2 Hunde, mehrere Fische und Vögel. Frühstücksangebot war absolut ausreichend? Strand war ca 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Geschäfte und Restaurants gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Bett und Bettwäsche waren selbst für 2 Sterne unschön. Die Wäsche roch sehr muffig, die Federn quietschten. Ansonsten war aber alles sehr sauber.

The equipment is rather older, the bathroom did not smell very good, but that’s something we experienced in many places around Thailand, probably because of how the sewage systems are built.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der außergewöhnlich freundliche und sehr hilfsbereite Host. Sie hatte viele hilfreiche Tipps für uns und hat bei der Buchung von Trips und Transfers tatkräftig unterstützt. Ich habe nichts zu beanstanden

Las instalaciones son muy cómodas y agradables, tiene una vibra tranquila para relajarse totalmente. Me encanta que tengan tantas mascotas: perros gatos peces pájaros, todo estuvo hermoso! De pronto en la noche, que estén más pendientes de apagar todas las luces. La primera noche fue un poco incómodo tanta luz a media noche. De resto, todo fue espectacular! Súper recomendado.

• Walter (10/5): Sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage im Zentrum von Kh - Das Summer House ist eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Die Inhaberin kümmert sich zusammen mit ihrem Team sehr liebevoll um die Gäste, erfüllt alle Wünsche. Es wird ein Wäscheservice und u.a. auch ein Rollerverleih angeboten. Unser Roller war nahezu neu (600 KM) und war innerhalb weniger Minuten verfügbar. Das Frühstück kann man optional buchen, es wird eine Reihe von Varianten angeboten, die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und es schmeckt alles lecker. Wir waren ab den ersten Tag begeistert und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Fußläufig findet man auch alles. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

• Liz (9/5): Superb - Booked last minute. The owner was super helpful and friendly, Room comfy, close to beach. All you need for a lovely stay in Khao Lak. The bathroom had a bit of a smell and the water power wasn't great but thus could reflect the super hot weather and likely water shortages.
• Louise (10/5): Summer House 1 - Good value, good location - We were a little apprehensive on arrival, but after settling in were very happy. Summer House 1 is a little quirky with its fish, birds, cats, dogs, plants and knick knacks. It is located in a quiet area around 10 mins from a beach with sunbeds (turn right) and around 5 mins from bars/restaurants, shops etc (turn left). Our room was large and spacious with a fan and a/c. It was cleaned daily and we were given 2 bottles of water every day. There is a nice pool for cooling off. Buhm is very bubbly and friendly and together with her girls who do an excellent job making breakfast, which we enjoyed every day, and cleaning the rooms made our stay enjoyable.

• Heli (10/5): Exceptional - Short walking distance from the beach but yet a quiet and nice area, big houses by the nice pool with own terraces, beautiful garden, good scooters for rent, tour information, excellent service, good breakfast (included in the room price for me), the owner lady was super friendly and helpfull. Lovely cats and dogs. This was the best place I stayed in Thailand, booked for two nights but extended it. I miss this place.

• Miriam (8/5): Very good - The Resort is only a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants by feet. The room was big and clean. You can also rent a scooter there for a fair price. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The AC was really loud, we couldn't sleep with AC. It stank in the bathroom.

Great AC, fridge, big bathroom and comfy bed. Water on arrival in the fridge. About a 15 min walk to the main area and few mins to the beach. Would highly recommend! 200 baht to get to the bus stop

• Parvathi (8/5): Very good - The location of this site is superb to access the beach quickly when the tide is low. But when the tide is high, one cannot go into the water from the nearest entry point (about 5-7 minutes walk away). Then during high tide, the next entry point to the beach is atleast a 25 minute walk away. So its useful to go with the tide timings in mind or have a cycle/scooter on rent. The latter is quite easily available also with the help of the host.
• Ali (8/5): Very good - Staff was really nice and helpful. Room that they provided me was a bit smaller, but I could upgrade it for 100 baht per night. Furnitures are a bit old, but it is not a big issue. They cleaned the room every day. There was a smell in the bathroom. Water pressure needs to be improved. Location is ten minutes from the beach and five minutes from the main road.

• Peter (9/5): Good budget option in Khao Lak - The host, Bum, was exceptionally helpful and friendly to us. We got fine breakfast and we could use the pool any time during our stay. It was a quiet and family-friendly place. Wifi was available only close to the main entrance.

Just quiet enough but close enough to everything. AC was good and breakfast menu was really good value. Round the corner is a fantastic restaurant serving gooooood Thai food called Mol, it is a MUST TRY! Beautiful flowers also. Pool was lovely and quite big with a little pool too so nice for children. The only suggestion (which is mega minor!) Is that there needs to be a little lamp in the rooms as the main light is too much at night time. But that's being pedantic!
• Swati (8/5): Great budget stay - Great place for the price. The host was so kind and lovely. I got my dates mixed up and we only stayed one night but everything was fine. Breakfast was nice too and walk to the shops and restaurants was easy.
• Harrison (8/5): Very good, the host was lovely - The Host was extremely accommodating and was very helpful. We had one or two minor issues when we arrived but they were quickly resolved We were about a 5 minute drive to the ‘centre’ and motorbikes were easily accessible.

The whole place was nice and quiet. It was close to bars, restaurants and a beach. Just a really nice place. Yes, there was the smell of camphor in the bathroom but it's better than the smell of drain so we didn't mind.
