- Ashlee (10/5): - 2nd stay here. We got the same room, #1. Beautiful. Only issue is the huge hole in the wall that was there the first time and covered with a trash bag is still there and still covered with a trash bag.

Also one light was blinking so much we turned it off. Very well lit at night, and flower planters were very pretty and welcoming.

- Sandra (2/5): - The mattress was old and the springs poked at you. I only stayed for about two hours because I couldn’t sleep due to the fact I was on the first floor and my windows didn’t lock. As a female staying alone that is unacceptable. I felt safer sleeping in my locked car in a parking lot.
- Lisa (4/5): - I messaged property early with mobility issues. They not only didn’t respond , we had to use rickety stairs with a broken rail. Someone is going to get hurt. The light in bathroom flashed on and off like a strobe light. I also for the first time ever did not feel safe in a motel , just seemed shady around. All that aside, I was so impressed with who ever cleaned the room. It was spotless. Kudos to their house keepers and whoever maintains the outside. It looks very nice. Just too many issues and not ones that the lady at desk even seemed interested in hearing about.

- Ashlee (10/5): - It was a beautiful room, beautiful property. However, there were 3 issues I found. Pillows were absolutely destroyed. Flatter than an iron board. We called and asked for 2, they brought us one MUCH better pillow. We made it work. 2nd issue was the lighting. Its harsh, bright, ugly and only done by switches on the wall. Which means you gotta get to the bed in the complete dark. Get lamps on the nightstands. Or lights that hang on the wall near the bed that can be switched on and off from the bed. The 3rd issue- which to me is the biggest. There was a whole HOLE in the wall. From where the AC unit use to be. Now its just covered with ugly blue tape and a black garbage bag. But a whole person could fight through this hole. And im not sure there was anything underneath the garbage bag. We were seeing car lights as they came into the parking lot through this big black hole. Other than those 3 issues, the property was beautiful with all the flowers. Jet tub was amazing. Room was big and spaciousness.
- Megan (6/5): Don’t think I’ll be back again. - Room was adequate, outdated but cute. No night stand lamps. Pillows had clean cases but pillows were visibly stained and dirty. Building was very noisy (sounded like a night club next door and like a dumpster was being emptied around 3am. My first stay here was great, but this one was pretty disappointing.

Only complaints were that the floors were filthy (my feet were REALLY dirty after walking around on the floors) and the towels were stained and one had two large holes in it. Location is super convenient and it worked well for a quick night stay!

- Jerry (10/5): - This was my third time staying here, and it is a nice quiet place with woods behind it. The rooms are cute and better then a sterile hotel room. I would stay here again.
- nilabjac (2/5): HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ; STAY CLEAR - Please be aware that this establishment has been actively scamming people. PLEASE SKIP THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. I had a reservation (booked months in advance) and they messaged me on the day of my arrival (while I was traveling) that they have cancelled the reservation and that they will offer a FULL REFUND. I have been trying to contact them FOR A WEEK AND THEY COMPLETELY DENY THE REFUND. To make matters worse; they have been hanging the phone on me. It makes me feel that this hotel is run by a group of scammers. The Screen shot is attached ; They accepted the reservation and then say that the number of people is not right. We were only two adults looking to stay in a room.

- Pamela (6/5): - Credit card was charged first thing in the morning of arrival. I was told it's because of no shows & bad credit cards. No one is at reception, you have to push a buzzer & wait for someone to show up. Floor in room was very dirty, I walked in white socks briefly & they were filthy on the bottom. Was told fireplace couldn't be used, a/c & heat was so loud it couldn't be used either at night. No insulation from outside noise. I cannot recommend this property.

- Lauryn (4/5): - There werent any bedbugs but unfortunately there were alcohol bottles and used napkins behind the headboard. The sheets were also dirty. They did come quickly and fix all these problems but they did try to convince me that the sheets werent dirty. I understand that sheets may have hair once in a while but it was throughout the bed like it hadn't been changed. Everyone was pretty nice though and they did fix it up like i said. The rest of the stay wasnt bad.

- Leslie (10/5): Uncommon comfort, excellent service - This was at least the third time I've stayed at this hotel, which is located about a half hour west of downtown Detroit. My room was exceptional for several reasons. The brick wall construction effectively minimized intrusive noise. The gas fireplace starts at the flip of a switch, was a welcome amenity on a cold day. The bathroom is thoroughly modern with granite vanity and trim and the biggest & softest towels anywhere. The gentleman who checked me in was courteous and totally professional. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Everything is clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are very nice, the toilet paper is grade A quality, the fridge is pretty big, the table and chairs are nice to have, and the aesthetic of the room is very homey/comforting. Whether you’re from out of town or you live near and just need to get away, this is the place to stay!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Fireplace - The room was spacious and comfortable with wood flooring and an amazing gas fireplace. The shower is as hot as you want it to be and the head, at least in my room, gives a full on massage with the water pressure.

- Lisa (10/5): Highly recommend. - This gem of a motel lodge was amazing! Very quiet, even with all rooms to capacity. Room was adorable, very clean, keurig coffee, even conditioner! Room had a very calming fireplace in it which we definitely used. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back on our trips to Detroit. Staff was very nice and accomodating upon check in and check out.

The first room was unacceptable, the second we agreed to was barely tolerable. Not a restful stay. Non smoking rooms rented by smokers are going to be funky. Lesson learned.

Then, no pen to sign paperwork..another five minutes. She then said (at 1:05 pm) check in isn’t until two. After traveling for hrs, I asked if our room was ready, and she again replied, check in is at 2pm. After discussing, she finally gave me the keys. Wasn’t happy, as our our rm was vacant and clean. She acted liked she was really doing me a big favor. I’ve never experienced that before. Came back that night to no parking slots available.. checkout was a little better, but woman was not gracious, and not very friendly.

We were uncomfortable using the stairs, but we are in our mid-eighties; all two bed rooms are on the second floor which left no choice. - Mathew (2/5): Rude and Trash - Spent 2 days and got harassed nonstop by them. Not only did they call and tell us our radio was on too loud they called and yelled at us when we weren’t even in the hotel room in the first place. Also we complained about the room not having buttons on the heater/ac they didn’t put us in another room they also wouldn’t refund our stay after they harassed us enough where we left at 1am on our last night stay. We were quiet the whole time. Never stay at this place. They were rude

Cigarette burns in the bedding, ashtray on the nightstand. There is an ice machine in the office, along with a 500w microwave on top. Overall, it’s a place to keep you out of the rain, but that’s it.

- Mark (10/5): - Wonderful motel to stay at. We booked rooms here while we visited the Eloise Asylum Haunted House Tour. Check in was fun with the friendly check in person. The rooms were clean and spacious. The gas fireplace was unexpected but very nice. Too bad is wasn't colder! Would definitely stay again if in the area and would certainly recommend to others.

- Jason (4/5): Really Low Budget!!! - The room was super hot and humid, they have a AC unit in the room, but, rigged where you can't turn it on, as if, they're trying to monitor your electric usage...there is a fan, a very small one, it's not even centered in the middle of the room, so, depending on where you're sitting/standing you can feel it...there's a king size bed, that's accompanied by 2 small pillows, meant for a twin size bed...the towels looked really used, yes white/clean but, shredded as in used to much bleach, and worn...if you have no other option, like me, something down the street from my job, only needed to sleep for a few hours...then, ai suppose you coupd do much worse...but, if staying for a date nite/romantic getaway, I recommend going elsewhere.

- Jessie (8/5): - Lodge is code word for motel. AC unit needed updating. Cable was out most of the one nite visit. Jacuzzi tub was best feature bathroom was adequate. Room was on street level and you were privy to various noises outside. Wouldn’t pay $170 for a motel again, however, the jacuzzi was the draw for me.
- Mindelei (2/5): Don't Do It. - When we checked in, it took a few minutes for the person to come to the front desk. They seemed very friendly though. As we entered the room, I noticed that the "clean room sticker" was broken, but didn't really think anything of it. After we went in, my spouse used the restroom and commented that there wasn't any soap. So when I used the restroom, I took the soap from the tub. While I was in there, someone entered our room with a key. My spouse spoke with him. He left. We went to lock the safety locks and noticed it was broken. Next, I pulled back the covers as I always do upon check-in and discovered that the bedding was gross and that the sheet protectors underneath were even worse. So we called the front desk: no answer. We walked back to the front desk and told the woman what happened. She insisted that we "heard" an employee cleaning another room. We continued to explain that someone walked in and that we wanted a room where the safety chain worked. She told us that they decomissioned them all, that none of the rooms had safety chains, and that they had no intention of replacing them. I asked for my money back as we had paid on arrival and was told I would need to contact Hotels.com for the refund. Very unhelpful.

- Leslie (10/5): Very clean and comfortable - I really enjoyed my stay at this motel. My room was spacious, clean, quiet and secure...even a bit luxurious especially the bathroom). The property itself was well-maintained and attractive. Good wifi, fridge & microwave, even a functioning gas fireplace. The bedding was crisp and the bed very comfortable. I intend to stay here again in the future.
- Brooke (4/5): - The jetted tub was great, the staff was pleasant and understanding. That was really about all that was good about this place. There was no a/c in the room and only a tiny ceiling fan. There was a thermostat, but it was locked and turned off. The walls were thin, we could hear the upstairs occupants walking around and talking. The floors were uneven and bumpy. The window in the bathroom was open when we arrived and would not lock when we closed it. The T.V. wouldn't go any lower than 30 for the volume. The fireplace wasn't working. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable. The two pillows we were given were flat. The towels were stiff and rough.
