Guest Reviews
- Satele (10/5): LOVES - Love the workers at front desk, cleanliness, comfortable good area Bed to soft for me
- Satele (10/5): -
- Knoll (10/5): -
- Norma Linda (10/5): Nice hotel, comfortable stay. - Staff very friendly and accommodating. We stay there almost every year while visiting family. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable. We like to stay in the back where it’s more quiet. There’s a security guard there which makes us feel safe. I have no complaints.
- Zeljka (9/5): - Big thanks to Candy, Alana, and Samantha! I am so grateful for your hospitality and guest care.
- Nancy (3/5): All ok until 10 pm night was noisy above us - Open and pretty Asked for top floor, got bottom floor, 10 pm very large person with a child checked in to room above us. Very noisy night
- biruk (8/5): -
- Beau (5/5): Good breakfast it that’s it. - Continental breakfast was good Unclean felt suspicious had police hanging around and some shady suspects. Wet spot on the floor, may have been carpet cleaner… hopefully, room was overwhelmingly smelling of cleaner like something had to be covered up.
- Amanda (8/5): Pretty cozy. Quiet. Comfortable. - I left before breakfast was served unfortunately. But the nice guy at the front desk recommended a great Mexican restaurant and I had a nice dinner. The WiFi wasn’t very good. I was there for nursing school and needed to have good internet.
- Travis (10/5): -
- Robert (8/5): This location is ideal for us. - Location, away from the interstate … quiet. This time and in times past the key cards did not work.
- Mahone (10/5): -
- Lealasola (10/5): Everything was great - Clean N/A
- Cynthia (8/5): Good value - Quiet Ran out of breakfast one day
- Travis (8/5): I'd stay here again. - Staff had the best customer service. Way better than the last hilton i stayed at The heater fan needs an always on setting for white noise.
- Drew (4/5): Very unpleasant - Nothing Hot water would have been nice.
Not to mention a room that did not have a gross odor.
- Suzette (8/5): -
- Jessica (3/5): Did not feel clean or safe. Bad Location. - Front desk gal was nice. Toilet didn't work. Bugs. White substance on red duvet.
- Colin (7/5): -
- Carretero (9/5): -
- Clifford (9/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Great location, close to shopping and restaurants. - The location is quieter than others which are located close to I-5. The rooms are large.
- Beverly (7/5): It was adequate for the purpose. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. - It was close to the wedding venue. Older facility that had not been completely renovated. Only cleaned the room every 3 days.
- Christopher (1/5): -
- David (8/5): - Very reasonable price and comfy
Would highly recommend
Clean and friendly
Wifi wasn't working so made it hard to do my work
- Marcia (10/5): - Breakfast was good there were varieties to choose from, the customer service was exceptional. Room was very clean and comfortable bed, slept like a baby lol
- Lauren (8/5): - Very nice, mostly clean.
- Sara (10/5): -
- Jennifer (4/5): - Front desk staff was unprofessional, rude and lazy. No clock in the room, broke toilet and the room smelled like smoke.
- Aleta (6/5): - Room wasn’t ready at check in time . I sat in the parking lot waiting for her to finish but a staff member redirected her to another room . It was supposed to be a non- smoking room . I’ve never smoked so it was pretty obvious it wasn’t .Need new pillows they don’t fit the bed .
- Karen (10/5): Mostly great!! - Perfect stay but did not get service in our room……had to go looking for coffee pods on day 2 and asked about a couple more towels on the 2nd day but never did get them.
BUT…….Stephanie, in the breakfast room was AMAZING!! Friendly, helpful, caring!!!! She’s amazing!!
- Katherine (8/5): - The toilets are too low and no grab bars. I’m not handicapped but I’m older. Breakfast was good.
- Sohini (10/5): - The rooms were very clean, the staff were very friendly, so nice and kind enough to accommodate my late check-in. The breakfast was great. I really enjoyed my stay.
- Luis (10/5): What I needed. -
- Kelvin (2/5): Let’s be fair here. - I was told I have to pay a deposit of 100 and I did not have a card with me and was being told I cannot stay in the hotel..and I had already paid the hotel fee for a night..this is embarrassing..you would have charged that or put a card on file
- MIKHAIL (8/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - We always stay here when visiting Tacoma
- Jorina (10/5): - Employees provide great service
- Lisa (1/5): Overly smelly rooms, terrible wi-fi. - Nothing Wifi didn't work, told too bad, deal with it. Horrible smell, overly strong air freshener gave me a headache.
Checked out and moved to a different hotel.
- Dean (6/5): - A bit run down for a Best Western. I've experience much better from other BW properties.
- Holly (9/5): Happy to stay for the 2nd time! - Great location, good breakfast.
- Andy (3/5): Not like the photos at all more like a motel 6 - The location was great close enough to town center and mall. Sketchy room with sketchy people surrounding the area.
- Michael (4/5): - No internet. Wifi was out and they had no information on when it would be up. In a hotel today, you Have to have internet. I missed a day of work on my laptop. That is not acceptable.
- phillip (10/5): - all was great
- John (4/5): Review - Floor was damp n dirty.
Mold in the shower in tile joints
- jonathan (4/5): -
- Keri (2/5): - Spider webs everywhere along with an enormous spider in the corner. Largest spider I’ve ever seen in the Pacific Northwest. Every lamp, coiling corner and door frame was full of webs.
- Guimis (10/5): Nice cozy stay - It decent. No complaints
- Elyse (8/5): Clean accommodations good for a night or two. - Excellent front desk service. Quiet hotel. Across from a cute community theater with lights strung over the street. Lot next door is a large vacant field and abandoned store fronts, but I didn’t notice loitering or anything. Older accommodations with carpeted rooms that are due for an upgrade but very clean. Had to hold down the handle to completely flush toilet and vanity lights above mirror were awful, but overall a good affordable hotel that I plan to use again.
- Amber Johnson (8/5): - Good breakfast. Excellent staff. Clean pool, powerful shower, comfy beds.
- Brian (10/5): - Great time
- Janet (10/5): - The front desk are so kind. The rooms are quiet and spacious
- Karolyn (2/5): - We ended up not staying as this hotel had no internet and that was not an optional matter for us.
- Janeen (10/5): Comfortable Hitel - The hotel was quiet and conveniently located for my needs. The staff is friendly. It is older, but well maintained.
- dominic (2/5): Terrible no Wi-Fi, not clean - A terrible experience. We were booked for 6 days, we left after 12 hours. The hotel has no Wi-fi although they advertise that they do. The room smelled, carpets are worn and showing concrete through them. A terrible start to our family vacation
- ARMANDO (10/5): - Close to family
- Hortencia (2/5): - The property smelled like urine. And we requested to switch room they let us know that they had none available so we were stuck putting up with the smell for the two days.
- Maria (6/5): - Ok place. Comfy bed but bathroom was dirty. The floor around the sink was sticky probably from using too much cleaner. Bathroom had hair on the floor and in the tub.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, the property was clean and felt safe, the noise levels were perfect and there was plenty of parking. My only issue was that this hotel doesn't have wifi for guests. But besides that, I had a pleasant stay. I will be returning!
- Tamra (10/5): - Nice location, breakfast was good. People are very nice.
Improvements- the bathroom fan was very loud and toliet was very short. The pool was cold.
- Gilbert (9/5): - Beautiful property in a nice neighborhood.
- Chalice (6/5): - The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable but the toilet made a terrible noise every time it flushed.
- Philip (9/5): great location and staff - I frequently travel to Lakewood and this is the go-to hotel. Very nice staff, comfortable rooms, excellent location. Wifi is a bit spotty.
- Kimberlee B. (8/5): - Close to many things, outdoor pool.
- Marlene (8/5): - Hard pillows. 4 pillows on the bed should have various degrees of hard and soft. Nasty scrambled egg rounds.
- Deidre (7/5): great value good location DONT ask for late checkout - in summer they have an outdoor pool. the rooms are large. good free breakfast. they wouldn't give me a late checkout even though I'm a best western reward member and were quite rude about this.
- Kathy (6/5): Was ok but not worth the cost. - Breakfast was very typically old-time offerings like Cheerios and sugar-sweetened yogurt. Plus all the usual, weird eggs, sausage, breads, bagels and waffles. Two queen beds both placed too close to the wall for some one but a small kid to get out of on that side.Beds and pillows were not up to Best Western standards. Sink was cracked. Toilet small and very low. On the plus side was a hand rail in the tub/shower. Had to ask for coffee for the room on two days of our three-day stay. Internet connection was down the entire time and no advance notice. Would have been troublesome had we needed it in the room for work. As it was it was inconvenient for planning our time in Tacoma.
- Brenda (8/5): - The breakfast was good. The room had a funny smell. They never cleaned my room the 4 night I was there. They told me I had to request it. I did Fri. But when I kedt on Sun. It had not been cleaned.
- Kevin (6/5): - Clean and staff was friendly
- Val (6/5): No pool no wifi - The room was big and roomie We chose location because its July and they had an outdoor pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed and the wifi was down!
- Alice (10/5): - This is a nice quiet place, staff are always very friendly, breakfast is always ready on time and the food always looks and tastes good
- Sara (6/5): - Room was large and spacious, we got the deluxe queen for 3 adults. Staff was friendly. The room had a moldy smell although appeared very clean. The sink in the bathroom was missing a screen so the water sprayed out in odd directions, and the toilet had a very weak flush. Otherwise it was fine.
- skyler (2/5): - Room
Was not cleaned before I checked In
- Kevin (10/5): - We really liked this place. It's older but clean. Service was really good. Breakfast was decent. Pool was enjoyable as well. We actually extended our stay by 2 nights to have a little more pool time. LOTS of dining choices nearby. Grocery and clothing stores too.
- Sandra (10/5): Oldie, but goodie. - Oldie, but goodie. Out room was extra large and roomy. Nice and quiet place to stay. Easy parking. Great breakfast with extra nice employee serving the breakfast.
- Mike (8/5): Clean Room Close to Chambers Bay Golf Course - Close to early morning Chambers Bay golf event Staff were idling their cars and coming and going directly below our room throughout the night.
- Maurice (8/5): - Property is a little older but clean rooms
Amazing staff and breakfast is pretty good
We would stay here again for the ease of visiting family, very close to shops and restaurants, not very busy area and the price is right!
- John (8/5): - Comfy bed, room was not renovated but clean and quiet, nice to have a microwave, fridge and microwave.
- Jordan (10/5): Overall nice and enjoyable. - Hotel was quiet, clean, in a beautiful location next to the historic theater museum. Staff was pleasant. Would have preferred real scrambled eggs for breakfast, be nice if it went till 11am checkout. Beds were decent but not great.
- Yolanda (4/5): - First of all we got lost on the way there so I called them to inform them that we would be checking in late and was told that was fine. When we arrived I was told I was already checked in. My card had already been charged without checking for identification or checking the card. After waiting an hour we were finally put into a room. We also had no WiFi service the entirety of our stay
- Gary (10/5): - Large clean bedroom and bathroom. Fridge too. Good quiet location. Fine buffet breakfast. Great value!
- Leslie (10/5): - Clean
Staff are nice
- Carol (9/5): Great place to stay - Good service, clean room, excellent location Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): Very pleasant and comfortable. - The location is good. Quite, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. With a nice selection to choose from. The rooms are very clean and if you need anything extra you just have to ask.
- Yi Yi (2/5): - I caught 4 spiders and 1 bug in the washroom. And the worst thing is I found a half dead spider on the inner side bedding.
- Lorrie (10/5): - All was great!
- Siuming (4/5): It’s advertised as a 2-star hotel, but I’d give it 1.5 stars - Breakfast was good, but the hours from 6:00 - 9:00 am are not ideal. 3 out of 4 days we didn’t make it in time. And the worst was there’s no wifi !! Room was cleaned only 1 out of 4 days… and NO WIFI. The toilet was not functioning properly had to jiggle the chain every time we flush
- Danial R (10/5): - Convenient location.
- Thomas (8/5): - Check in was smooth & easy. But the cot collapsed while I was sleeping so that was less than ideal
- Micah (10/5): Great room, weird smell. - Everything was great but there was a weird smell in the room.
- Pham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yesenia (9/5): Superb -
- Yesenia (9/5): Superb -
- Yesenia (9/5): Superb -
- Rashel (8/5): Very good - The beds could use an upgrade
- Anthony (10/5): - Perfect location when visiting relatives in Lakewood
- Mistie (4/5): - Key card and opener were constantly broken and were had to get new keys twice
- Danielle (7/5): Good -
- 737denisei (6/5): Ok, but a promised amenity that I was counting on was missing - Room was clean and adequately stocked. Breakfast was the usual for a hotel in this price range. I like the little little egg... soufles?... that they serve instead of a tray of nasty old scrambled eggs. You know how scrambled eggs get in a buffet warmer tray. The room seemed like it might have been sound proof. But I wasn't there much outside of sleeping, so I don't know if there's was even anyone in the room next to me. Also I was on the second floor. But there was a group out at the picnic bench drinking and generally having a good time one night and I didn't hear them either. There's a CVS right next door, walking distance, that was very convenient. There's also a historical theatre across the street. It seemed like a relationship safe neighborhood. Now to the reason for only 3 stars. I was there for 4 nights, their wifi was down the whole time. I'd you need to work on the road then I don't recommend this place for business trips. Their internet access is unreliable. Also, it would have been nice if they had streaming capable tvs, although with the wifi down it wouldn't have done much good. When I plugged the url from the wifi sign in page into my internet browser I got a message saying that the property was no longer supported by that platform. Did they not pay their bill? Did they decide to switch providers with out a plan to transition smoothly?
