• Bhavin Gudka (8/5): A good stay - Great huge apartment which was clean, comfy and cosy. Not much information given upfront when checking in on the activities available and how we should book them / do them.
• Sebastian (7/5): Nice family stay with great offerings for the kids - The offer for kids is great, nice pools, mini golf, tennis court and play rooms. The rooms were well equipped but the cleanliness did not meet our expectations. The jumping pillows were down for maintenance. The access to the cafe was handy, offering a good selection for breakfast or lunch. The staff even organised an Easter Egg Hunt (as we stayed over the holidays) - so real focus on making this rememberable for the kids. The hotel was quite busy (Easter holidays) and it was pretty noisy in the evenings (loud music, party on the patios, all doors to the hallway open) - but at least the 10pm quiet time was honored and enforced. The cleanliness was not great in our room, all tables, desk etc were very sticky. Cutlery, plates and glasses were still dirty while in the cupboards. The floor was dusty and really not clean (probably only cleaned with a broom, not wiped).

• Candice (9/5): Great spot. Comfortable and great for kids. - Lovely rooms with everything you could want. The floors weren’t super clean. A note for any guest coming from Canada. The culture is to not wear shoes indoors so you should ensure the floors are extra clean when Canadians stay.

• Nathalie (4/5): Disappointing - first time in Plett and chose to stay at Formosa Bay over Beacon Island for the kid and we checked out 2 - The pools, the multi court and the restaurant made a good waffle Location of the resort, as well as our room location within the resort which was situated by a township and we were kept awake with music and woken up with the same music and roosters crowing, the curtains in the room were old with patches having worn out and allowing light through, cupboards were peeling, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, the couch was ripped in places, the kitchen’s crockery needs an upgrade, the bathroom shower kept dripping and the jumping pillow wasn’t working

I really enjoyed the experience as a whole they provided me on my trip. The abundance of activities within the property. The safety of the location. Really nice staff and really liked my room it was even better than the photos.

The restaurant was disapointing as on apearance the service was slow and the food was average. i found the pricing very exspensive for the menu offered and quality of the food.

• Pascal (7/5): - Wir hatten das grosse Luxus-Appartment mit gut ausgestatteter Küche gleich neben dem Empfang. Die Anlage ist schön und gut gepflegt. Der Einstieg der Wasserrutsche beim Kinderpool ist aus unserer Sicht recht gefährlich, sodass kleine Kinder die Rutsche kaum selbstständig nutzen können. Auch gemeinsames Rutschen mit den Eltern ist aufgrund des steilen Einstiegs nur eingeschränkt möglich. Der beheizte Pool war für unser Empfinden leider deutlich zu warm, weshalb wir ihn kaum genutzt haben. Das Essen im Hotelrestaurant hat uns leider nicht zugesagt.
• Mahir (8/5): Tolle Hotel für Familien mit Kindern - Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, die Innenstadt von Plettenberg Bay ist mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. In der Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants. Die Unterkunft war sauber und bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Kinder wie auch für Erwachsene, darunter ein sehr gutes Fitnessstudio, einen Tennisplatz und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Leider war das Personal im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Südafrika eher unfreundlich – hier besteht aus unserer Sicht Verbesserungsbedarf.
• Gabriëlle (8/5): Beetje vergane glorie maar wel goede prijskwaliteit - Het is een beetje vergane glorie. Het zwembad op de foto’s is in een andere gedeelte waar je niet kunt komen. De locatie is goed om allerlei plekken in Plettenburg baai en omgeving te bezoeken. Het appartement is ruim en voorzien van alle gemakken. Het zwembad is schoon en er zijn voldoende ligbedden en parasols. Er lopen ratten rond, in de gedeelte gebieden, niet in de kamers gelukkig. Het wafel restaurant is maar tot 16 of 18u open dus voor eten moet je het dorp in

• Magrietha (9/5): Very enjoyable for both adults and children. The facilities and staff are great and we had a wonderful time. - Staff and amenities was super. I had to book 4 studio units for four adults and three children aged 4, 7 and 11 years old. It states that a studio unit can only accommodate two adults and one child under the age of two. That meant we had to put a child with an adult in three of the units and the fourth adult in the fourth unit. Not only was this ridiculous but very, very expensive. When the fourth adult was not able to join us we handed the keys back to management and told them they were free to offer the unit to somebody else. That unfortunately did not happen.

• Toth (10/5): Comfortabe and safe location. An excelent value for the price ! - We used Formosa for a stopover to PE. The staff is extremly friendly and looking after you in any case. The room was huge and the bathroom deserved really the world "room" !! The rabbits in the garden are cute lawnmoovers. The reception - dinning area is modern. The restaurant closing suddenly by 17.30. The dinner we had was a chicken greek salat and a schnitzel. Both where huge and yum yum. The breakfast was amazing. She had the whaffle with fresh fruits yoghurt and müesli.
• Dominique (10/5): A surprising luxury oasis with everything you could ask for- we extended our stay by 3 days because we loved it so much - The resort has everything you need - convenience store, gym, pool and even down to a hair salon Nothing - maybe just the traffic sounds a bit close. But if you don’t mind that, it’s amazing!

• Abdullah (8/5): Quick and easy check in. Lovely staff. Very comfortable. Overall great family experience - Room was very spacious. Massive living area with full kitchen, massive bedroom as well. Felt like a full one bedroom apartment. Very lovely. The room I was booked in was sort of tucked in the back, so quite far from the activities like the main pool, entertainment centre, and tennis courts. Not a big issue, but something to consider. However there’s a second pool close by.

• Razaz (8/5): Very good - The room was very spacious, and the breakfast in the morning was lovely. The kitchen closes very early, we arrived around 6pm i think and there was nothing to order, thankfully there is a KFC not too far from the property.

I did not like that we advertising a POOl and Game Room yet this was not available. This is what attracted us to the facility and on arrival found it was not available or in use. Very disappointed 😞 The view from our room was not the very best, we had location section from the main bedroom. Thought this destination would overlook a nice lake or beach.
• 828bernadettew (10/5): The beauty and tranquility was valuable to me - Great location on the N2 walking distance to garage where the long distance bus drops off. The unit is fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home. Lovely peaceful atmosphere, loved the trees and plants and birds chirping in the morning. Service and cleanliness was absolutely appreciated. Lots of space for kids to play, and braai area, hot pool, gym. An amazing resort to go and relax.
