- Katie (2/5): - This hotel was bought out and is being turned into an Airbnb hotel. The property looked decent, You walk into the lobby and it looks pretty, however, since an Airbnb setting there are no staff on site and the front door is always unlocked with no security. We were supposed to stay for one night so we stopped and dropped off our bags. Theyre in the process of updating which is good because the rooms are out of date and the furniture has wear. The rooms weren’t the cleanest but it was just for one night. We did have a stain on one of our pillow cases on the other bed but again no one around to ask for anything. The huge negative about this property is apparently all the rooms have the same code. I was there with my parents who were in a different room, aunt and uncle in a different room and my cousins with their two young kids in another. We all had the same code to our rooms. My parents got sick so they weren’t able to make it. When the rest of my family including myself got to the hotel to go to our rooms they were occupied by other peoples belongings. I checked my parents room since mind you we had the same code they had bags sitting on their beds with other peoples stuff. Now if those were reserved for us how did other people get those rooms also especially since there were plenty of other rooms that could’ve been used. The staff clearly doesn’t know what they are doing and we all felt so unsafe that we drove back home. I did contact the company and we weren’t charged.
- chris (10/5): - Nice room clean. Looked new better than expected. It was different with no employee there. Only thing i had a question about was check out? We just left and figured it was automatic cause we were gone before checkout time.
- Robert (2/5): I would not recommend this Hotel at all. - First of all there was no success at calling and talking to a customer service rep to confirm my reservations for two rooms. I was sent a confirmation via email a couple of days before our scheduled stay. Then I received two text messages in the morning of the day of our scheduled stay. The text messages listed which rooms we were assigned. Along with the room numbers was included a 4 number code for each room. It turned out both rooms had the same check in code. When we arrived at the hotel to check in the front door to the Hotel was wide open. There was no check in clerk. We walked up to the second floor with our luggage because there was no elevator. I put the code into the first room we were assigned. The door unlocked and opened up. I turned on the light and was shocked to see One of the two beds was unmade, there was somebody's clothes laying on top of that bed, a left over fast food meal, and a duffle bag and gym shoes on a chair. I went to the other room, put in the same code I was given for that room, opened the door, turned on the light, and even though the one bed was made there some luggage on the chair. Based on all that along with some other details, we decided to not stay and drive back home to the Chicago area which was a 2 plus hour drive home at night which we were trying to avoid.
- Dan (10/5): Great place in down town. - Freshly rehab'd room, so new, the microwave still had packing in it. Looking to book for the 2026 SCCA events at the nearby track. Check-in was way to easy. Other rooms are either re-done or about to be, in the immediate future.

- Erin (4/5): Not the room I reserved - Was supposed to have a king size bed and was given 2 doubles. No one at front desk. I guess hotel was sold, but didn’t know that and would have just found something else. Could deal with outdated furniture ect.. remodel but wanted the king size bed I reserved. Check in was confusing, sent text so thought room was ready but it wasn’t. No extra pillows or towels and no one to ask since there’s no one around. Could have planned for this if we had been given a heads up. No lamp shades, ceiling not painted.. lol not sure why we had this room when hotel seemed pretty empty. No night stand either or clock or mirror in room or hangers. Just weird. Wish I could have a refund or part refund for not getting a king size bed
- Anthony (4/5): Very cheap labor & materials terribly renovated - I stayed at the same Hotel a year ago, they are trying to update it and it was much better before the updates had begun. It is being done on the very cheap with very low quality materials and labor and none of the finishes make sense. Next year when I come back to Road America we will find somewhere to camp because it will be much better than staying at this hotel. It's like putting lipstick on a pig but the problem is it wasn't even a pig before it wasn't a bad place. It's amazing what very very cheap planning, design, finishes, materials and labor can do to a decent hotel

The only thing that was bad was our room was on the 1st floor and the window overlooked the neighbors driveway so we had to keep the curtains drawn the whole time. Also the walls are super thin. You can hear everything around you. However, we were told it’s under new management and improvements are forthcoming. We plan to visit again to see any updates! Very nice area though.

- Sharon (4/5): Did not sleep well. - The room was clean with clean linens and comfortable pillows. We wer in a handicap room as i use a walker and have a service dog. I was able to negotiate the walker in the bathroom, however the space around the bed was difficult. If I had used a wheelchair it would not have fit. The mattress had springs that you had to curve your body to lie down and hope you don't turn over in your sleep. The chair was difficult to use as it is completely worn out. The chair in the lobby is in even worse shape, i didn't attempt to sit in it. The shower is set up wrong for disabled use. The shower bench is sloped and under a hand held shower unit that is way to high and pointed in the wron direction to actually shower. We spent 2 nights and i did not shower. Next the multi levels of the main entrance are difficult to manage with a walker and would be impossible if i had a wheelchair. We have mobility scooters and did not use them because the entrance is unusable unless you can pick up your equipment. Thus impossible. This is NOT ADA accessible. I would suggest the owners live 2 days with mobility equipment in this room and try to enter and exit the main entrance with its multi level surfaces. They seem like nice people and im sure that would do something to fix these issues even if it cost some money. Also the entrance door is so heavy i needed help to open it. Because of these issues this will be our last stay at Plymouth Inn. The location is great for the Cheese Drop, New Years Ev
- Cheryl (6/5): Practical - We were in town for a funeral. Spent very little time in the room. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was quite. Meet our needs perfectly. Walking distance of everything. Lovely oldtime downtown. 😊 would stay there again. Not new and sparkley but nice.
- LauraKateMelvin (2/5): Can no longer recommend - I am disappointed to have to write this review, as we have stayed here many times in the past and always had good experiences. We have always been able to pay a pet fee to have our cats stay with us. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, we brought our cats and paid the pet fee, as usual. Later in the evening, we were stopped by the new owner, who tried to prevent us from bringing the cats in. I explained that we had paid the pet fee, and the owner questioned me extensively and treated me like I was lying to him. He made it very clear that he did not believe me. He insisted that the cats spend the night in their carriers and not be allowed to move around the room. He called us a few days later to let us know that the cats will not be welcome in the future. We were unaware that the inn was under new ownership and that the pet policy had changed. We were not made aware of the policy change when we booked or when we checked in. I made it perfectly clear at the time that we checked in that the cats were with us. Based on later conversations, I do not believe that the clerk was made aware of the policy change, so he was not at fault. In fact, Michael has always been very helpful, friendly, and courteous. I have no issue with new owners changing the policies, but I do have a major issue with how poorly we were treated. I am sad to say that we can no longer recommend this establishment as long as the new owners feel that it is ok to treat their guests this way.

- harold (4/5): - This was a disappointment. The lights by the bedside did not function because of a broken switch in the wall & we didn't care for the vinyl flooring in the room. The guy at the front desk didn't seem too friendly, but he did recommend the Mexican restaurant down the block from the hotel. I didn't interact with a live person at check out, instead called from a telephone at the front desk to check out. I was told I would get a receipt sent to my email address, which I am still waiting for after four days. This hotel is in a convenient location but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to stay.
- Peter (10/5): - The rooms are large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge in the room that I had was quite small though. It is very inexpensive and very close to the very cute downtown of Plymouth. I will stay there again
- Jeff (6/5): - Property was once an old place that has been renovated in the recent past. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Room was hot upon arrival but the AC brought it down to a pleasant level before the sun came up the next day. I could hear the adjacent rooms TV thru the walls. The room still had the original small round toilet with the no room for my junk. Biggest issue was the tub. It was an insert where the handle was below my knees. With the soft water it was slicker than snot in the tub.They did provide a mat, to put in the tub to help slipping, so they know it's an issue. Final issue is the shower curtain. It's on of those plastic cloth things that's hung to far into the tub. It would stick to me at every turn. To keep it from sticking to would result in water on the bathroom floor.
- Sheryl (8/5): PLYMOUTH INN - Overall it was a nice place to stay. My room had a window that I couldn't shut all the way & there were car races going on nearby & it was loud, so closing the window may have helped. My dog also found a used cough drop under the bed, so it wasnt thoughly cleaned.

We come here for race of road of America and we booked 3 rooms for 3 night.Great location with a ton of food options within walking distance. Room was via and clean. Staff if friendly and the rooms were clean each time I have stayed. 24-7 coffee bar is great and breakfast wasn't bad. I would recommend to everyone to stay in this place.

I expressed my disappointment and the Mike at the desk told me he understand! Need my money back asap

We also got a different kind of room than requested and the hotel was not able to accommodate a first floor room (because we knew there was no elevator). Overall the stay was fine and we have stayed here before and know what to expect. The prices are always the lowest.

Could use some updating around the property and in the rooms…they are dated but they are clean and it’s easy to see taken care of…better pillows would be nice. Door to room definitely needs a better lock, ours was very flimsy. We would stay here again as it is walkable to our fav bar/restaurants

It looked like they offered breakfast at one time, however, that option was not available. When you are a solo traveler, you look forward to having someone to welcome and greet you. Say good morning and how was your day, just polite conversation.

- Sabrina (10/5): Quiet off season, close to great restaurants - It was a personal trip. The hotel only had a few other guests so it was pretty quiet. The room was clean, but needed more toilet paper. The towels and sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable. It was off season so the rates are reasonable.

- Tyre (8/5): - This place needs a major upgrade! Everything was like back in the 70s. They had dingy bed sheets, pillows with feathers in them, and my shower had hair in it. Peaceful though.

- Jennifer (8/5): - There was no coffee maker or hair dryer in the room, which I would expect given paying $100 for a night. The walls are thin and I could hear many people around the building. The room was clean and staff was very friendly. Very easy check in/out process.

- Mary Ellen (2/5): - My room had mold in the bathroom, scratches in the toilet seat, baseboard molding off in the bathroom. Stain on bedspread. The towels appeared dirty, only used the ones I really needed to. Would not recommend this property at all. Sleepless nights due to feeling unsafe
- Shari (6/5): - Property is in a good location for walking around the downtown area. Our room was very clean. We were in town for an event, and just needed a place to sleep. It suited our needs for our trip. It’s very basic and no frills. A coffee maker in the room would be nice. Easy check in and check out. There is no elevator so if you have mobility issues you should request a ground floor room.

- Cynthia (2/5): - Terrible property, very run down hotel. Needs renovating! Rooms smell and are very dated. After we checked in, we asked to check right back out. It was so bad we didn’t stay and they would not honor a refund.
- Neil (4/5): - The posting we saw in a Plymouth magazine stated there was a breakfast included. There is a breakfast room but no breakfast. Also, not even coffee in the room. There is a whirlpool room but the doors are shut and there is a bench in front of them. The room was clean but the bed was quite noisy when anyone moved. It seems that many things that went away during Covid have not come back. We expected more for $100+ a night. We might have complained but there was never anyone at the desk.

- Kathy (10/5): - Very convenient to my primary destination, Road America. Loved the location, walking distance to many dining choices. Wi-Fi was weak though.
