- David (10/5): - S
- David (10/5): - S
- Marcell (10/5): - Capsules are clean, tons of amenities on sites, you can pretty much bring nothing and be totally fine - they give you day clothes
- Gabriel (10/5): - Amazing place and deal. Absolutely loved the hot baths and massage chairs and free food after a long day of exploring Tokyo. Perfect way to end the nights! Felt so refreshed every morning ready for the next day.
- Abdy (10/5): - Felt like I was a king. 10/10
- Daniel (10/5): - Everything was great!
- Ian (10/5): - Very good location.
- Mitchell (8/5): - A nice capsule hotel, in a wonderful location. Right beside Shinjuku Station. Good amenities and services. I wish there were storage on the capsule floor, as waiting for the elevator was quite time comsuming, especially just to quickly access some of you luggage. Overall, a good place to stay for a solo traveler.
- Paul (10/5): - Only a couple blocks from Shinjuku Station, this was very conveniently located with lots of great food options nearby. Anshin Oyado has so many amenities like the sento and free meals and drinks. I was impressed by all the complimentary toiletries—earplugs, breathing strips, cotton swabs, razors, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, and more. They’ll even let you keep the pajamas. I was very happy with my stay and can’t recommend this place enough. I would definitely come back here next time I visit Tokyo.
- Walker (10/5): - Perfect
- Gregory (10/5): - Great place. Unique experience. Great location. Extra amenities.
- Ivan (10/5): - very enjoyable lodging option for an amazing price. they give you so many free treats and free amenities. it's comfortable, clean and pleasant. and the hot tub jacuzzi and sauna (free for all customers) is wonderful.
- Jose (10/5): - The most and unique experience.
Everything was more then aspect.
Wonderful place, Wonderful staff.
- Dax (10/5): - Super affordable, amazing amenities extremely comfortable.
- Gray (10/5): - Great onsen and complimentary drinks and adult drinks. Great location
- Kerry (10/5): - I liked the cultural experiences and the location was easy to find
- William (10/5): - Amazing experience, comfortable enough capsule with amazing amenities. Would definitely do it again when in Shinjuku.
- Miguel (8/5): - The employees keep this beautiful place extremely clean, the shower area is amazing and the lounge is kept super clean as well, now when it comes to the capsule they need to pay extra attention to it, at least wipe the walls.
- Yue tak quentin (10/5): - Convenient n hot spring is quit good
- C (10/5): - Great amenities, would stay here again in a heartbeat
- Cole (8/5): - Free food and drinks were really nice. Comes with the territory, but be prepared for the bathrooms next to your hall to smell a little.
- Victor (10/5): - I love this. I will comeback to this place again if I have a chance
- Kevin (8/5): - Perfect location in Shinzuku. Their lockers and luggage storage is far away and kind of compact, but once you get used to planning ahead it's ok. The place is very clean and organized with a staff that never stops. The cubical was quiet and the bath area was fine. They provide everything one needs for grooming. The curry breakfast was really tasty and that and the massage chairs were a great way to start the day. I'd stay again.
- Barclay (10/5): - Very good area. Close to Shinjuku Station as well as many popular stores and areas of Shinjuku. Definitely recommend!
- Sammy (10/5): - Beds to hard
- Maria (10/5): - The best
- Jiachen (10/5): - Great for a short stay
- Alex (10/5): - Excellent location super close to JR station and so many restaurants as well as shopping options. Amenities included artificial onsen, breakfast, massage chairs, and so many others such as items enhancing capsule (extra chargers, silent alarms, fans, etc). Excellent value for money, friendly staff, and amazing facility overall!
- Nicholas (10/5): - Really struggling to think of anything negative to say about my stay here, however i . I had done my research on the hotel itself and the area surrounding, and it delivered exactly as expected. The hot spring bath followed by a highball in the lounge became a nightly ritual during my stay.
Do your research ahead of time though, the whole capsule hotel
- Mario (10/5): - Amazing experience, best ever
Must do !!
- Jonathan (10/5): - I had a great time staying here. It is so convenient to get around. Definitely will be back.
- Steven (10/5): - Capusle hotel for men only in a great location by Shinjuku Station. Place exceptionally clean and provides lots of amenities as well as some food and drinks including alcohol. Logistics is the key here and planning. With the lockers on the ground floor, capsules 4th to 7th and the showers on 2nd floor. The locker area was fairly dim and could have done with some seating. A small bag of the key essentials was handy to have, that fitted in the smaller shower lockers and also you could take to the capsule. It was just a case of remembering to take everything you needed from the ground floor as the lift was slow and only stairs to the 3rd level. Shower area was clean and nice onsen bath and small sauna. Capsule was adequate and comfortable and included TV and charging facilities. For the price, location and things included hard to beat.
- Corey (10/5): - I fly through Japan a lot and stay here every time. It’s so convenient, especially to Haneda. They provide everything for you, including toiletries and free happy hour. It’s hard to beat the convenience
- Andrew (8/5): - This place is good place to stay if you want to be near places in Shinjuku. The staff were helpful in explaining the amenities and answering questions. Some areas were a little unclean. The food provided is nothing fancy, but convient.
- Joe (8/5): - I would stay here again for a couple of nights if needed. I stayed there just for the experience, and it was nicer than I thought it'd be. There were lockers for my carry on and separate locking areas for my large bag. It was built for comfort while you are there, but most of your time in Japan will not be at your accommodation anyway.
- james robert (10/5): - Great place for me who want to visit japan while on a budget or is on their first trip to said country. Elevators maybe be slow, but you can circumvent it with the stairs for a more healther route.
Staffs: very good, has english speakers. So you're covered on that end.
Highly recomend it.
- Joshua (8/5): - Well kept capsule hotel with plenty of amenities, including meals and alcohol. However, the capsules were so hot that it was very hard to sleep, even with the onboard A/C and fan
- MARLO VARGAS (10/5): - Excellent location close to everything within walking distance.Clean and excellent staff service!
- Karl Norman (10/5): - Lots of nice extras (food, spa and booze) are included
- Jose (8/5): - This capsule hotel was very cozy and comfortable place to stay. They have great amenities and an easy check in system. The staff is helpful, though some are more helpful than others, but that could just be due to some of the language barrier as maybe not all the staff is entirely proficient in english Don't let that deter you though as one of the members of the staff went out of their way to help me find a lost case for my electronics. t
This place is definitely worth your time and money if you're looking for a budget friendly place to stay in central Tokyo. Also as a last note, do make sure to look into bathhouse etiquette beforehand. It may come as a bit of culture shock if you're unfamiliar with this type of hotel as there are no private showers . Safe travels and I hope you enjoy Anshin Oyado as much as I did
- Phillip (10/5): - Amazing place
- Alan (8/5): Monk Vibes - Not great for family. It had monk monistary vibes, brown uniforms, no privacy, shared everything. Neat to try but nli like some privacy.
- Kevin (10/5): - Easy to get around this location. Busy, lots of things to do. Or relax at the nearby park.
- Andrew (10/5): - So much is included for free in your stay. Meals are delicious.
- Shuji (8/5): - アメニティが充実していました。
- Luis (10/5): - Great for solo travel if looking for a hotel that is accessible to a major train station and lively area. Artificial onsen was amazing after a long day of walking.
- Vincent (8/5): One night at a capsule hotel - Wanted to try out Japan Capsule hotel. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Shinjuku station. The place is clean and has an onsen bath. Breakfast is provided and there is a big lounge area to relax have coffee and chill. Only bad thing is the lift. only one lift to serve 7 floors and it takes so long for the lift to arrive in order to go up to your room. Otherwise, its a great experience and nice stay
- Kamal (10/5): - Would highly recommend this
- Lynn (10/5): - First time in Japan and first time staying in a pod. This place was very affordable, comfortable, and clean. Nice little breakfast of curry and rice, miso soup, coffee and soft drinks. Super close to Shinjuku Station.
I would stay there again!
- Denys (10/5): - Cool place to crash if you have tattoos. Fun night around the city
- Bryan (10/5): - It was really nice
- MIKE (10/5): - Very friendly
- Jason (10/5): - Not my first time staying at this property. Will always choose this hotel if i need a 1 night stay - if the price is right.
Luggage storage available, even after check out. free rinks and food available at specific timings. Many amenities are provided for the public shower. Mattress and pillow is comfortable.
Its location is super convenient at Shinjuku South Exit (i think?), so there are many transportation, dining and shopping options to choose from.
Will stay here again.
- Justin (10/5): - Free drinks from 5pm-3am
Free miso and breakfast curry
Massage chairs
They provide everything you need!
- Alfredo (10/5): - Wonderful experience at this hotel. Great staff, super clean, perfect location and easy check in and out. Would highly recommend to check off in your bucket list.
- J Froylan (8/5): - Great place to stay if you are traveling alone and want to live Tokio real experience
- Cooper (10/5): - Well worth it
- Robert (10/5): Definitely would stay again - Excellent stay, comfortable capsule, well padded mattress - excellent shower onsen room. Lounge was comfy and free drinks/coffee and breakfast was very satisfying.
- Christopher (10/5): - The amenities are great and its very close to lots of food and shopping.
- luis (10/5): - Great and clean
- Ryan (10/5): - What an amazing experience I had,what a blast!
- Tony (10/5): - Great experience solo traveling would come again.
- Michael Shane (10/5): - The staff speak and understand enough English to communicate with. The area is very clean, this was my first time there and if I ever come back to the area it would be my go to place. The amenities and facilities are wonderful. I enjoyed my stay and I’m sure others have and will too.
- Nicholas (10/5): - The property is excellent. The pods are modernised and comfy. Same for the Onsen as well as the food served there. The staff were the most valuable. Jetstar lost my luggage leaving me in a confused and distressed state with only the clothes off my back with my passport, meds, phone, wallet. The staff were understanding and helped me at every opportunity and I can never give enough praise or thanks for helping me. Deserving of your business
- Dylan (10/5): - I loved staying here! A great way to immerse myself as a traveler into Japanese culture, but still allow me to understand what is going on. The place was clean and had super friendly staff.
- Julian (10/5): - This property was very close to the train station, food and shopping. It was easy to find and had great amenities.
- He (8/5): - It was in a great neighborhood and super easy to get around, but I had trouble sleeping with people snoring loudly, even with earplugs.
- Michael (10/5): Very good capsule hotel. - It was a very interesting place. Only my second capsule hotel. Very comfortable and lots of amenities for a capsule hotel.
- J (6/5): - .
- Andrew (10/5): - Free breakfast and supper, nice hot spring, free alcohol and its right near Shinjuku station and Kabukicho street.
- George (10/5): - After a few of the wide range of complementary drinks the first shower in a Japanese style public bath was not a problem. Found the premises to be clean and the staff really helpful would recommend.
- Mario (10/5): - Good and relaxing. Good food.
- David (10/5): - Its unique for sure, not for anyone. But i loved it and staff were very helpful and polite.
- Axel (10/5): - This all men Capsule Hotel was incredible. The amenities they offered are by far the best. Complimentary food, beverages and more. When you go to the public shower they have a variety of shampoos , face soap, body wash, scalp treatments, razors, body towels, etc. You can enjoy the hot spring after taking a shower and the steam room. Outside of the public showers you will find a selection of supplies like hair dryer , hair products, body lotions, hair brushes(you can keep) toothbrushes with a tiny toothpaste, etc.
- Brandon Lincoln (10/5): - Cleanest & most professional hotel I've been to! Amenities galore! Never had so many toiletries free and readily available for all guests well stocked & waiting! Will Come again!
- James (8/5): - A very pleasurable stay for those who travel solo. I stayed here on my own for 3 nights and enjoyed the included drinks and food. Having access to laundry was wonderful bonus. Facility is super quiet and convenient to the Shinjuku stores/restaurants. It can get a little warm/stuffy in the capsule areas, but the front desk will provide a fan to keep you comfortable. Great value. I would gladly stay here again if traveling on my own.
- Juan (8/5): - Exelent service and always felt safe with my belongings.
- Adam (10/5): - Utterly astounded by this place. I had fairly low expectation having never stayed in a capsule hotel but this was easily the best hotel I stayed in during my trip.
The locale is a 5-10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station, a little off the main road and is surrounded by small shops mainly selling food.
As for the hotel itself - the staff were VERY fluent in English and had us checked in quickly. From there you are provided with a locker/room key, offered some night wear (which is available in a large size) and left to deposite everything you have into your assigned locker, shoes and all.
From there you can sgore your larger luggage in a seperate room with a simple cord and padlock and you're off to the facilities!
On the firs floor is the baths - spacious, accomodating and packed with free products for you to use, when they say "leave everything they mean it, you barely need so much as a change of clothes, everything is provided for you, even a phone charger!).
The bath itself is ewually spacious with plenty of stalls to wash yourself and a large bath to soak in, keep in mind this is a public bath ONLY, there is no private bathing available. The venue may say it offers an "Open Air Bath" which may be a tad misleading as it is literally a a shrouded balcony with 3 chairs on it. Nothing more
The baths provide shampoo, conditioner, body soap, moisturisers and so on. Tooth brushes, hair dryers and combs and has laundry options and roughly 500 yen total for a quicklarger large
- Loan (10/5): - Free drinks
- Craig (10/5): - The amenities were thoughtful and complete.
- John (10/5): - Was just what I needed for a night in that area! Super accommodating, great staff and awesome perks
- Timothy (10/5): Bucket List Item - Checked all the boxes for me! - It was bucket list item for me to stay at a capsule hotel and this place checked all the boxes. After traveling with others after my 2 weeks in Japan, I stayed here in Tokyo solo for two nights before I flew home.
The entire place is super clean. The capsule was spacious enough for me and my floor of 64 capsules has only about 15 or so other guests, but bring earplugs .. a necessity. My capsule came with a big tv and headphones, though I rarely watched it.
The onsen was relaxing and clean and the lounge area was quiet and comfortable, the massage chairs, free alcohol and drinks, curry, miso soup etc was a nice touch.
Other guests (mostly people in their 20s to 40s) were quiet and the hotel played traditional Japanese Music or Classical in the lounge area.
The location was amazingly convenient to everything Shinjuku. Very close to the Train/Subway stations and the bus that goes to the airports.
This hotel is only for male guests, but I believe there is one for females nearby, the hotel offers brown "uniform" pants and a top for all guests to wear, so I liked to think of the place like a big pyjama party.
I know that this hotel chain has other locations in Japan and I wish I had found them sooner.
- Alexander (6/5): - I think the majority of my complaints are because I did this in my 30's and its a younger person's game. So take this with a grain of salt. The bed itself was perfectly comfortable and wasn't an issue. Yet, taking your shoes off when you come into the hotel was uncomfortable and I didn't like the storage situation for my luggage. The location was nice and central though so I could get anywhere I wanted to be quickly.
- Matthew (10/5): - The property had all pluses: location, cleanliness, food/drinks available on site, quiet.
- Ryan (10/5): - Great capsule hotel with even better breakfast (curry with rice was awesome)!
- Kok Liang Jason (10/5): - First time with capsule hotel experience. Excellent for solo travel. Enjoyed the onsen and massage chair onsite, and free booze after 5pm from wide selection of liqueur. Convenient lication in the heart of Shinjuku. Surprisingly quiet with a men only establishment. Everyone is respectful of others privacy and space. Top cleanliness as no shoes allowed once inside the well kept 7 storey building.
- Adam (10/5): - This was probably one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The only thing I didn’t like, was that my pod was right by the door, so I heard people coming in and out every night. If you stay here, I would suggest asking for the back of the room.
- Josh (10/5): - Great check in process for English speakers with a A4 handout given with very clear instructions and things you can use and take advantage of during your stay. Felt very safe, all guests were quiet and respectful when I stayed.
Fantastic location, close to food, arcades and shopping, and easily walkable from Shinjuku station. I'd arrived after 10 hours of flying and having never been to Japan before, found the process of locating the accommodation easy with Google Maps.
While I was concerned upon arriving to the Japan summer heat, the cooling in the capsules was adequate to me, I slept comfortably enough with the fan provided. The capsule floors themselves are air controlled also. I would have appreciated another pillow (only 1 provided) but perhaps this could be requested by staff!
Note that none of the taller capsules I observed had televisions or other technology if you wish to have that as it didn't appear super clear by the listings what they would have inside. Also, as noted by some of the other reviews, the bathing/showers are on a different floor, so are the storage lockers, so you'll need to use the elevators a bit to get around, but I never found this to be a hindrance personally.
Would recommend! Thanks for having me and making my trip to Japan a great one!
- Irving (10/5): - This was an amazing stay but they need to clean the fans cause there was a lot of dust.
- Denys (10/5): - This spot is Tattoo friendly. Using the public bathhouse was a blessing. It's an experience I had to experience in Tokyo. The pods were a bit warm at 4am but the fan inside helped keep me cool through my slumber. The massage chair and free alcohol helped me relax after exploring the city of Tokyo. If you have tattoos, come on down
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable capsule and very clean everywhere. Only complaint was the amount of noise in the capsule room throughout the night made it hard to sleep. Need a pod far away from the loud click of the door and last in line so you don’t hear people walking past your pod
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Slippers or sandals would be nice. This would help with the overall health and cleanliness as individuals walk around barefoot
- John (10/5): - This was a great stay for me as a traveler. They have a good spa and stocked lounge area.
- Masaaki (10/5): - Located in the downtown. Very easy access to the city center.
- Matthew (10/5): - The first capsule hotel I've stayed at and still the best! It's at an awesome location a quick walk to Shinjuku Station. Plenty of things all around it as far as restaurants and attractions. The facility is very clean, safe, clean, with awesome and helpful staff. Free snacks, drinks and bathroom amenities while staying too in addition to a bathhouse. Capsules were very comfortable and the sleeping rooms were quiet with very considerate fellow guests each time I stayed. If you're a solo male traveler or with a friend or two, definitely check Anshin out!
- Elias (10/5): - It was a great first time experience at a capsule hotel. Very nice hotel and the artificial hot springs was great! definitely recommend
- Johnathan (6/5): - The place was great to hang out! Free alcohol, food and amenities. Loved that! The problem is some capsules only have curtains and no roll up door, that was a let down and also it seemed like some dudes were running up and down and stomping on our floor late at night which was annoying with only a curtain to stop the noise was pretty lame. And the capsule was super warm which sucked.
- Ra-ees (8/5): - Great location
