Guest Reviews
- Tyler (10/5): - Very friendly staff and lots of English Translations
- Daniel (10/5): Small but valuable - Everything you could want from a capsule hotel and more. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Only issue is that you could hear people around you, so unless you're a heavy sleeper, you need earplugs. They offer free breakfast (curry) and dinner (ramen). This location is perfectly placed near Akihabara.
- Kerry (10/5): - I liked the cultural immersion, the hot onsen was great to relax in. The capsule was comfortable and staff were helpful
- Madhu (10/5): - Loved the facilities. Clean and well maintained. The free lounge was pleasant with simple food and alcohol. The massage chair was also a good addition.
Enjoyed the sauna and artificial hot spring. Recommended!

Numa próxima oportunidade, estarei bem disposto a me hospedar neste local.
- andrew (10/5): - It was a decent hotel
- Shawn (10/5): - Was exactly what I was hoping. Just a great place to sleep, shower, and relax during all the exploring. Location is fantastic. Just a few minutes away from the train station. I enjoyed my experience there and will definitely book again if I go back to Japan
- Cesar (10/5): - This place is very convenient and comfortable option to stay in the heart of Akihabara. The service staff is very helpful and accommodating even if you experience a bit of a language barrier. Which if you do, google translate is your friend. Otherwise Id say the only real negative about this location is that the bathhouse amenities aren't as abundant as their shinjuku location. Other than that this place is worrh your time and money if you're looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay. Many thanks to the female staff worker who went looking for my keychain on the 6th floor even after I had already checked out. If I come back to Akihabara I will definitely be staying at Anshin Oyado.
- Matt (10/5): - The hotel was very easy to navigate, they gave me locks to put on my bags so they couldn’t be stolen as well as a decent size locker for my backpack. Food was included and was pretty decent. The shower area was clean although washing myself on a stool was a new experience. I have tattoos (2 small, 1 mid-size) and didn’t have any problem.
- Dwayne (8/5): - It was my first time staying in a capsule hotel and overall it was alright. I stayed for two nights and that was enough lol. The amenities were good, morning curry was pretty good, the staff was polite and helpful. The cons are everything you'd expect in a shared sle
- Calvin (10/5): - Nice Place
- Calvin (10/5): - Amazing and convenient
- Emmanuel (8/5): - The place was really nice, the employee were really helpful and friendly. If you never been to a capsule hotel it is a good experience. But the experience is not for everyone.
- Nicolas (10/5): - The bathing areas weren't as spacious as advertised otherwise amazing overall
- Taylor (10/5): - Was great place to stay. Highly recommended.
- Carlos (10/5): - I am quite pleased with this capsule hotel. The staff was lovely and friendly. The only issue was the lack of sound isolation in the capsules, but nevertheless my stay was overall pleasant.
- Gil (10/5): - Just a perfect loction to everything. Nothing but good review for this location. Will definitely stay here again next time to visit Tokyo.
- Gordon (8/5): - Have an open mind to the people of Japan value the small things more than western big things.
- Raj (10/5): - Great facilities. Spa and lounge are very good. Great way to unwind. And massage chairs were excellent.
- Adam (10/5): - Good place for solo travel will be back next year
- Edgar (8/5): - The staff are very nice and helpful. The amenities for the price per night makes this hotel very affordable if you use everything available to you. Around 60-100 CAD a night depending on when. Literally beside Akihabara, shopping and sightseeing is super convenient.
The hotel includes: A free drink bar, 5 free alcoholic drinks every night starting at 5pm with a large selection of liqour, Massage Chairs, Sauna, Hot Tub, Bathhouse, Coin-Op laundry, free toothbrushes and razors.
My only complaint is that the capsules are quite stuffy and a little too warm to my liking but everything else was perfect. This will be my 1st choice when coming back to Japan and seeing Akihabara again.
- Dai Hung (10/5): - Pretty good for a capsule hotel steps away from all the shops and activities.
- Krzysztof (10/5): All that is needed for a busy traveller - Amazing place
- JUHA (8/5): - Good capsule hotel near Tokyo Dome, what was the main reason stay this location.
- jaxon (10/5): - This was my favorite stay in Japan yet. Amazing accommodations, clean comfortable beds, very nice staff. I will be looking for them when I come back next time!
- cp4abolishment (8/5): Denkigai Den Luxurious Anshin Oyado - Situated right in the heart of Akihabara, accessible to JREast trains and the Tokyo subway lines. A patron is well suited to be electrified wherever he goes in a jiffy, if he knows where he's going. As a matter of fact I visited four great historical sites, two in Yokohama, and the other two in Tokyo (not far from Akihabara). And, I did it all in eight hours!!!! That's why this capsule hotel is such a great place for travellers like me.
Secondly, Akihabara has the best (inexpensive) sushi, and it's more or less, a hundred metres from the capsule hotel. Moreover, there are many great Western foods all in the heart of Akihabara Station.
Thirdly, if you're a manga fan, and love Japanese anime and animations, Akihabara is the world's capital for everything in manga comics, figurines, models, anime fantasies, collections, modelling of figurines, etc, etc, etc. My favourite is the Kamen Rider!
Fourth, I had previously reviewed the Anshin Oyado Akihabara Capsule hotel. In fact, I was amazed by the capsule's amenities, hospitable staff, free foods (both in the mornings and (late) evenings), the assortment of beverages ranging from alcoholic and non-alcoholic, massage chairs, a Japanese dipping pool for relaxation, and sauna.
Having said that, I appreciate the Japanese staff at Anshin Oyado Akihabara, greatly, because they're so hardworking and mindlessly keeping the place clean and functional. That's the 'Bushido' discipline of every Japanese in the country. However, if and only if, communication is effectively available, especially to foreigners. As a person, we only can (only) be effective and efficient if communication is perhaps better done procedurely...like for example information is explained in the relevant websites or the capsule's pamphlets. Japan has four seasons, the tropics in Southeast Asia only one. So, when Spring comes, rain is abundant in Japan. Umbrellas, shoes, raincoats, etc, can wet and dirty the premises. So, my suggestions to the staff is simple... Offer your instructions on what to do and how to do before patrons or customers enter the hotel. Like for example, make information about drying the shoes, if they're wet, and not put them at the entrance racks. (They need to request the reception staff for a shoe drying equipment to assist them to dry their shoes.) Make sure to leave the umbrellas at the racks. And lastly, no one should walk in the premises with any kinds of shoes.
Remember, we can only be effective and not mindlessly lackadaisical if information is readily available. However, there could be patrons who're indeed ignorant. To that the hotel can introduce (financial) penalties, not only to curb ignorant behaviour but also a 'fine' contribution to the hotel.
- daniel (10/5): - Was great as always
- djjeprox777 (10/5): 5/5 capsule hotel for solo travellers - The amenities exceeded expectations! The value provided by this establishment was solid and felt at home after a long day of walking and exploring Tokyo. I would greatly recommend this for those travelling solo and is looking for an easy, convenient, and comfortable stay. The location was also a great bonus as I was able to do some last minute shopping before my checkout as it was super close to the station.
- raynicholls (10/5): Great place to stay - Excellent location close to the Akihabara station, friendly staff (most of whom speak very good English), lots of secure storage, good facilities, free breakfast and some snacks during the day, free drinks and many other reasons to stay here! I have stayed in capsule hotels in the past and this is definitely the best one I have stayed in.
- Jun (10/5): -
- Edward (10/5): - The free food was an nice bonus. Rice, soup, curry(in the morning) and lots of drink options.
- Patrick (10/5): - This hotel is in the center of akihabara and a very easy and special place. Also the service was great i enjoyed the stay
- cp4abolishment (10/5): Tokyo Capsule - Anshin Oyado capsule hotel or I should say capsule-tel, is the finest in it's form of hotel services and management. This breaks new ground for so many hostels around the world, especially in Southeast Asia that want to be on par with personalized and automated hotel services. Right from the checkin, patrons can store their belongings in lockers, changed into comfy wear, take a shower or dip in the pool, just to chillax! After that the patron can adjourn to the second floor to enjoy some snacks or food (depending whether it's breakfast or late dinner) or just enjoy a drink whether it's alcoholic or nonalcoholic, tea or coffee. Then patrons can read an extensive collection of anime comics, of course if one reads Japanese. And when it's said and done, the individual can retire to his capsule and just dream away.
So what's provided? Toothbrush, toothpaste, 2 kinds of mouthwashes, many branfs of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Shavers, shaving cream, and varrious hair styling gel and cream are provided. Bathing and face towels, bathing rugto clean the body and hair dryers. That's only grooming needs. As for food, patrons can enjoy cooked meals, and soft drinks, liquors, cooffee, and tea. In the lounge area, patrons can also enjoy massaging chairs.
In your capsule, there's a controllable light, a fan, and three types of USB chargers.
My last words to those who want to stay there is, please follow the rules!
- Nicolas (10/5): - For the price, there are a lot of very nice amenities. The staff is also very helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- Jefferson (10/5): - It was very quick and easy to check in and out. I feel very safe to leave my stuff near my pod.
- jacquesmV7561MZ (10/5): A great stay - This capsule hotel is in the heart of Akihabara and is only a 5-minute walk from the station. The staff are super helpful and friendly and there are all the amenities you could wish for. Lounging clothes, dental equipment (toothbrush + paste), free rice, free soft drinks, free hair ointments, body/hair/conditioner.
It's great for single travellers, but unfortunately its male only so no families and it is a bit hard to open a big suitcase in the rooms.
When I return to Japan I hope to stay here again.
- Xandrilios (10/5): Great experience - Excellent experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, a lot of nice (free) extras. The capsule was spatious enough, the bath is really nice and the relaxing floor was great. Note that being able to speak Japanese was helpful
- Corey (10/5): - If you are going to akihibara to nerd out or explore japanese culture, look no further. This hotel is as good as it gets. It's perfect and has a tattoo friendly onsen. Amazing staff, huge capsules, great food, if i find myself back in tokyo this is where i will be.
- tanya (8/5): - This property was clean and easy to get to. The capsule is comfortable, offers sufficient lighting and phone/electrical hook ups in the capsule. The group bathroom was clean, but would have liked to see more food options.
- Luis (10/5): - Great location and excellent place worth for the price
- Kurt (6/5): - I tried the capsule thing. I won’t be doing it again you have to put your stuff in lockers, which are too small for a big backpack and a large suitcase. On the capsule door, there is no lock. The people that run the hotel are very nice. Outside of the hotel the only thing that I found were girly bars and sex shops and a small handful of restaurants. Everyone that I spoke to was very nice and helpful. I will go back to Japan, but I will not stay in that area of Tokyo.
- Muhammad Afifuddin (10/5): - .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice location - convenient to subway station and SEGA arcades. Staff is kind. The downside is that there's no private shower room, so other people (of the same sex) would be able to see your nude body.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service, especially for the rest room, the hotel has provided many kinds of free drinks for the customers. The free miso soup provided by the hotel is extremely delicious!!!
- Brian (10/5): Pleasant Experience! - First capsule experience and I am so glad it was with these guys!
- Jacob_5000 (10/5): High-end capsule hotel - This was our first time staying in a capsule hotel, and we loved it! The capsules are roomy, and have a TV and other amenities. People were quiet, but if you're a light sleeper you should bring earplugs. There are shared toilets and sinks on the same floor, in a separate room from the capsules, and they're very clean. There was also a nice shared spa downstairs, with group showers and hot-tub. The hotel is in Ahihabara, so there are tons of electronics and anime stores around. We had no problems finding places to eat there. There's also a nice neighborhood called Jimbocho within walking distance, which has a lot of cool book stores. I had no complaints -- would happily stay here again.
