- Peter (10/5): - Casa Gerrari 406 is an eclectic small old hotel with mucho character and charm. And the price is extremely reasonable. Rooms are on the small side but everything works and the service from Marco and his staff make you feel like a guest and friend. Parking is street only, and the streets are narrow and steep, so plan accordingly. There are several small museums within short walking distance, and the old downtown, more museums, and walking tour guides are within longer walking distance. Marco also recommended several very good restaurants to us within easy walking distance.

Really great breakfast, the roof top terrace was our favourite spot to watch the sunsets. Very walkable location, close to restaurants and Cerro Allegre. Bed was warm and comfortable, and plenty of hot water for the shower. We felt safe the entire time, and highly recommend this hotel. Thanks again!

- Monica Alexandra (10/5): FELICITACIONES AL HOTEL!!! - Las instalaciones del hotel nos parecieron maravillosas, una magnifica decoración y muy colorida, en cuanto a la atención elogio al dueño del establecimiento quien además de guiarnos, fue muy cordial y amable. La habitación era pequeña pero muy acogedora y cómoda, descansamos muy bien. Esperamos regresar pronto ya que es un sitio que con ambiente familiar. Por otra parte quiero resaltar el servicio de quien nos servia el desayuno, ya que nos brindó mucha amabilidad y cortesía.
- Hugo Rodrigo (6/5): Mucho por mejorar - Por la muralla de la habitación pasa una tubería de desagüe, y se oye la descarga de las aguas negras y grises de otras habitaciones. No funciona el botón de descarga del inodoro. El aseo del baño fue incompleto. Me cambiaron a una habitación con cama de dos plazas pero que da a la calle, con el ruido de los motores de los autos que pasan. El cable se ve mal. Las terminaciones no se ven bien, algunos guardapolvos separados de las murallas. Cobran caro por el estacionamiento.

Lo que mejoraría urgentemente sería la calidad de las toallas de baño (están muy viejas y ásperas).

Reservamos una habitacion para familia de 5 y nos ofrecieron elegir otras habitaciones mas comodas por el mismo precio. El personal es muy amable, sobre todo Valeria y Carina. El desayuno es muy rico y completo. Tiene una pequeña terraza en la que se puede cenar, tomar algo y contemplar a Valparaiso iluminada. Sin duda, me alojaria alli nuevamente. No cuenta con parking pero estacionamos en la calle y todo ok. No es un lugar lujoso pero a nosotros nos gusto muchisimo.

There is also a large terrace with a wonderful view over the city and harbour. The breakfast is the best I've had so far on this trip and the wifi works well. It's a great place to spend a few days in Valparaiso.

The hotel was a bit old, but for the price it was good. My bed was nice & comfy. And the view from the terrace was very nice, particularly at sunset. I would recommend it, just don't expect a 5 star hotel.

We opted to walk up the hill to the hotel with our backpacks so the journey was pretty tiring, but the view from the top was great! The service was good as well. The best part of this hotel is the rooftop terrace overlooking the city and the ocean. It's a great place to relax in the afternoon/evenings.

- Tom (8/5): Friendly quaint hotel at the top of the hill - Nice room. Everything worked. Very close to the sebastian. The area has a very 'local feel', close to bars and shops. People should probably bear in bind that it's at the top a hill (Valparaíso mostly consists of hills). Close to the town. Wonderful views (like much of valparaiso). Only downside is that the wifi is a little weak in the rooms.
- Bente (8/5): Pleasant - My stay at Casa Ferrari was a most pleasent one! The staff is amazing, very helpfull and kind. Every friday and saturday there is an open resturant at casa Ferrari, and if you are there one of these days you just have to eat there because the food is simply amazing. They also have a roof terrace and it gives a fantastic wiew of Valparaiso and it is good for the soul to sit there and meditate in the evenings. But the rooms are very small and only have "buildt in" bathrooms, at my room with only a halv wall to the toalett. And there is no tv as it says in the add. But if you can live with that,-and I did lived ok, your stay will be a nice one! And ofcours it is on a hill but "everything" in Valparaiso is on a hill! But it`s cheap whit taxi from downtown.
